Nice place to hang out and eat. There are many restaurants just in the side of the river and they have outdoor seatings as well. Even in the afternoon and hot sun, the breeze was there and windy. Beautiful scenery as you enjoy your foods. Recommended place to visit to have a lunch or a dinner.

Boat Quay is a remarkable Singapore place which reminds of old times trading hub at Singapore river. Today the bank is full of many restaurants and bars to hang out. A good choice of dining around the place or just go for a stroll in the evening. Find a good choice of food here or walk to the Clarke Quay through the underpass to enjoy river side. You may wish to take a boat ride from the designated stops around the place to enjoy the skyline of Singapore. A must go place for all tourists.

A beautiful part of Singapore, lovely to hang around here day or night. By day it's quiet, but you can appreciate the colors of nature which contrast well with all the buildings around it, also can take photos of their reflection on the water. By night it is a famous night spot where people hang out for fine food and drinks. The lights are vibrant too for photos.

Nice walk along the river which can get you to famous Merlion area. Lots of bar and restaurants along the way. Couple of bridges to cross the river. Can also join the river cruise. Asian civilization museum and parliament nearby.

Boat Quay in Singapore is a bustling and picturesque waterfront area along the Singapore River. Known for its vibrant nightlife, numerous dining options, and historic shophouses, Boat Quay is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. It offers a charming setting for riverside dining and a lively atmosphere in the evening. The combination of the cityscape and the river views makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a night out with friends. Boat Quay is a fantastic place to enjoy a diverse range of cuisines while taking in the beauty of Singapore's riverside ambiance. I enjoyed this place in January of this year.

Fun area with a large number of bars and restaurants targetted towards westerners or people who like drinking culture / bar hopping. Very beautiful at night with a lot of the different lights and the tour boat on the water. In the day, it's tranquil and scenic being able to enjoy the water and the atmosphere. Even if you weren't interested in the food, it's a fun walk through the area.

It was early Sunday morning for a walk around Boat Quay. Place was rather quiet and good for cycling/jogging. Only thing is cannot find decent local breakfast around this area.

One of the great place to travel in Singapore . This is the area for all your night party and Hangouts along with great sea food and beer. Awesome chilling place and night life for travellers. Specially the Kean dishes are awesome here.

Comparatively cheaper than Clarke Quay (Probably could get a pint of beer in around SGD 5?). If you prefer somewhere with lesser people and more quiet, this area would be a better choice. View's not too bad too!

A very lively and energetic place to spend a nice evening eating and drinking with your friends. The place really comes alive during the evenings, especially on Fridays, when busy corporates from the nearby offices gather to grab a bite or gulp down a cold one after a hard week's work. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from, with a variety of cuisines. This place is popular with the tourists as well, with its splendid view of the iconic Singapore skyline and the Singapore river.

Boat Quay is a charming collection of bars and restaurants in a shophouse setting along the Singapore River. The ambiance is noisy yet somehow relaxing at the same time. Boat Quay comes alive at night. The views of the river are incredible and there are many sights to see in the nearby area, including Merlion Park. Highly recommended for expats and tourists.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this area on our last visit to Singapore and one of the many highlights were all the eateries in the area, Boat Quay being one of them. Always full of life, and a lot to choose from. Great food and great atmosphere.

This is part of the Riverwalk. Many places to eat,🍝🍴 many local type bars to visit. 🍺🕺🏻💃🏻 Also access to the riverboat ride. The boats are only 40 minutes and no food or drinks. It's a thing to do if you are not a walker🚶🏻 or biker🚴🏻 or jogger🏃🏻

Great place for a evening stroll. The waterfront has excellent views but the restaurants are dominated by Indian restaurants. Want a laugh! Authentic Indian and Mexican combo! Don't even think the combo will work! Wander down the back streets. Lots to see.

Another photogenic area in Singapore. Also it’s nice to walk or run in morning. I like how they mix their traditional architecture and modern buildings.

Views are good, that is about it. To us, it feels like stepping into some bar street from some random Greek island when you were 20. People standing in your way screaming about happy hour and "best food." I think most places had some reference to the Michelin guide. We walked in one direction, just trying to get a grip of what kinda of restaurants were available. When we got to the end and turned around, the same person that we had just passed started telling us about happy hour. It is a interesting place and it is narrow around the restaurants. Not sure if we are going back, we talked about it. At this point we do prefer Clarke Quay alot more. At least along the river.

Lovely area in the city centre in Singapore with many nice pubs and restaurants located apart from the historic landmarks. Not as touristy compared to Clarke quay. A walk around boat quay in the night or post midnight is definitely a must do

  • 5/5 Geri G. 4 years ago on Google
Boat quay is nice! It provides a glimps of Singapore shop houses that used to be the warehouses for in coming shipping. Its a far cry from its origins of a stinking polluted water front when you today walk along Boat Quay. Its shop houses today are bars and expensives places for mainly tourists to eat seafood whilst looking onto the river. A walk is important as Boat Quay and its less preserved Clarke quay provide a historical reflection of the past. Not many of those left in Singapore so enjoy the walk but try to eat elsewhere!

A small pedestrian road divides the restaurant and outdoor tables. Seafood available in plenty. The view and reflection in water was excellent ?. You tend to unwind....

A great tour of Clarke Quay and the Inner Harbour in front of Marina Bay Sands well worth doing. Would recommend going for the Night Light Show as you get close to colourful water fountain display which reacts to loud music adding to the atmosphere. Lighting show is colourful. A little bit pricey but a major busy tourist attraction. Pays to buy ticket early to make it quicker when lining up as it gets busy. Ticket booth is near boat ramps on Clarke Quay. There are a few different times each evening. Would not be that pleasant on a rainy evening although boats do have a covered in area if you get out there and it starts raining. Boats are clean & well maintained. Some more expensive tickets include a Singapore Sling, these are a ready made drink in a can. You would be better off having one at a nice nearby bar before or after your cruise as there are plenty of bars in that area and you can pay happy hour prices (2 for the price of 1)

Formerly the main point of loading & unloading merchandise from boats in the port of Singapore, boat quay is now a tourist trap offering minor variations on the theme of happy-hour drinks specials, waterside tables and pick-your-seafood from tanks out front of each establishment. There's also nightclubs and expat bars in between.

It comprised of a lobster (min 2 pax), 2 abalone, Canadian oyster, scallop, Spanish beef, 4 prawns, claims and a vegetable. At end of meal, can taste porridge boiled with the broth of the said seafood. Quite unique and it's value for money for a healthy meal. A bottle Asahi beer is sold at $4 only.

Boat Quay was the busiest part of the old Port of Singapore, handling three-quarters of all shipping business during the 19th century. The shophouses have been carefully conserved and now house various bars, pubs and restaurants. However, unlike Clarke Quay, the outlets are a little cheesy. Unlike Robertson Quay which is good all day, Boat Quay only comes to life in the evenings. Sit on the riverside and wave to the tourists on bum boats cruising up and down the river. We like Dallas that is located closer towards UOB for its steak and beers.

Visited this district in early March before the shutdown. The area is the old port and dockyards, but fell into disuse as the old ports could not handle the larger shipping containers and the port facilities were relocated. The redeveloped area is a trendy area full of bars and eateries like the rest of Singapore, a mix of old and new. I especially love the way the old Chinese buildings that sit on the waterfront in front of the newer, gleaming skyscrapers.

Wonderful place to spend the evening with your friends and loved ones. There are so many different restaurants offering sea food, Indian, Thai, Indian food. Be careful when you choose sea food from live counters because sometimes they will show you fresh ones but give frozen ones. In some restaurants with drinks they give snacks. But it's not complimentary and might charge you. Also sanitized tissue papers were charged without informing us..

Boat Quay is an awesome place to soak in the sights and sounds while enjoying a drink or a bite sitting beside the Singapore River 🌊🏞️. The place was pretty packed when I visited that made picture taking even more difficult. Boat Quay is well connected by MRT and Bus. The restaurants in Boat Quay are housed in well conserved ShopHouses, that reminds us of a bygone era. Boat Quay comes alive in the evenings and that's possibly the best time to visit Boat Quay for some great picture taking. Boat Quay is a great effort in restoration and redevelopment, while at the same time preserving the charming look what with the lovely shop houses of an era that will never come back. Adjacent to beautiful Boat Quay are huge and tall Skyscrapers that is testimony to the giant strides Singapore has made to thrive and be successful.

Boat Quay, now famous for its thriving nightlife, was once the centre of trading activities along the Singapore River. The area owes its unique charm and character to the warehouses and shophouses that line the river. It was gazetted for conservation on 7 July 1989.

So, the boat quay has a path that run along the river from Clark Quay to bay. There are plenty of resturants and pubs which are on the pedestrian walkway. And extend over to the next Parallel street. It's a nice walk and enty of food offering. At night it is REALLY busy....

Easy visit from the MRT. Initially a gauntlet of cafe and coffee houses. All part of the atmosphere if you fancy food and a drink. You can get the impressions of what it would have been like here in 60s &70s. As always clean and good quality food. Singapore prides itself on clean drinking water and has high standards for quality of food provided. Its worth a wonder around the key. A mixture of very new corporate building and some of the old place.. read some of the information about the area as you go around.. it helps the transformation that has occurred. It's a vibrant place to visit in the evening. The bridges have an interesting history of why they are there.. we sat in a restaurant at near the Asian history museum and had a great meal and drink..

Very nice little walk with a lot of restaurants (good and bad, please choose very carefully). A lot of aquariums with crabs and fish and a very good mood with pubs etc … I highly recommend a walk here in the evening and maybe take a beer near the water with all the buildings sourounding you.

It is an amazing experience to have a river cruise by night. You can experience views to iconic buildings, while hearing about the history - with some screen shots of the past. Right and left there is so much to admire: the architecture, the (night) life, image mapping at the famous fountain and other buildings. Get ready to be truly amazed and take some unforgetful photos/selfies. I definitely recommend it! We were lucky, bought our tickets on the spot and got into the last boat.
