I accidentally booked this hotel for the wrong day (flight was delayed so was only going to stay for six hours to get some sleep but I booked incorrectly ), so I immediately contacted them to get a refund and they refused. It was within five minutes. I didn’t stay and they charged me the full amount. I would not book here ever again, and wouldn’t trust them to have common sense, good faith interactions with anyone.

My husband got food poisoning and he was pretty sure it was from the mushrooms stroganoff at breakfast one morning. He informed reception who responded by asking what time we'd gone to breakfast. We were later than normal, it was just before 10. They replied saying maybe that was not a wise move as the dishes had been put since 7.30! But, they'd speak to the kitchen and get back to him. They never did. If they're serving breakfast between 7:30 and 10:30 ALL food should be fresh for the whole 3 hrs!. Also, be warned, go early, the queue from 8:30 onwards goes way past the lifts. You will be placed a way around the corner of the hotel on trestle tables. It marred the stay. The rooms are lovely - a little compact. The pool is excellent.

My partner from Australia stayed at this hotel for 19 nights and it was very disappointing, the pictures from Google was nice and attractive but when you check in it sucks we check in to Deluxe room and a Queen size bed and guess what? It's small bed, small room, there was a bugs in the bed, also the pool was dirty! I would not recommend this place at all !!

My boyfriend and I had a similar experience as the majority of reviews provided below. A quick summary: - No gym even though advertised on their website - Neither safe nor refrigerator worked - Dirty pool area, littered with rubbish - Minimal towels provided in room (non at pool) - No shampoo, conditioner or shower gel - Neither TV nor Wifi worked Would happily recommend it to any enemy.

BEWARE and STAY CLEAR Very unsafe and filthy with dust and mold and little pest. One of the worst places I have ever stayed. Poor customer service, did not want to fix or clean my room properly. Said I paid for a basic room therefore was not deserving of basic standards. Was told to upgrade my room which was same room with a higher price and called Premium or something. GYM is not usable or safe. Pool slide NOT operational, cracked slide, green standing water in the holding section of the slide. Elevator certification expired in June. Denied access to speak directly with management. 3rd Party Expedia failed to reach hotel management for 6 days. If you don't care about your health and like to breath extremely bad recirculated air, walk on original dirty carpets with holes and poor customer service than this over priced basic hotel is for you. STAY elsewhere and save yourself.

Great location. I stayed 9 nights here and enjoyed my stay. The rooms could definitely do with an update though, my bathroom had constant dripping water coming from the ceiling that pooled on the floor. The aircon worked great though and it was quiet. There is a great area downstairs with lots of tables so you can work from there. It’s super close to a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops and some bars. It’s also close to union square which has a grocery shop, conscience store, restaurants and Starbucks.

I honestly feel confused why the reviews are low, because this place is in a great location, the ladies who work here are very polite and it’s comfortable. Each room has a thermostat where you can adjust the temperature, the bed is comfortable and the rooms are clean. It feels safe in this area and there are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The pool on the rooftop is a plus. Ru specifically was very friendly. There is a mini fridge in the room which is nice too.

I think this website needs updating....there are NO restaurant facilities! Pool and room both small but clean . There is a smell of damp in the reception area but not in the room. It's basic but fine but definitely not a "business" hotel with nowhere to hang smart clothes or to work... most importantly I used the stairs instead of the lift at one point and found reject mattresses and tables stored in the stairway......which is the only fire exit and would be not allowed in many countries.

A very useful area ! Near by MRT. The room are good enough and clean enough for a very reasonable price. The staff is polite and helpful. The gym is basic but good enough to work out a bit, there is no heavy dumbbells fyi. The swimming pool is good for chilling out but not for swimming. I will come again !

The room was clean, and the bed was the best. There was a swimming pool and gym at the 3rd floor of the building. It was a great location too, there are a couple of restaurants around and there is 7 eleven nearby as well. The lobby is nice too, The staff is very warm and welcoming. View from the 7 the floor is pretty too! Unfortunately, the telephone and the small fridge weren't working, some outlets were also a bit loose. But overall it's a minor inconvenience for us since we're always outside. But the bed is still the best :D

Terrible location. Booked 2 nights for 3pax, was given two rooms that were just joined by a wooden door that opened and blocked the entrance instead. One of the TVs were smaller than a desktop monitor. The beds were worn out. 1.5 hours into the stay, pungent smells came through the vent (those kind of cooking smoke that should not be directed into the hotel rooms), which their staff attempted to resolve by bringing us a Dettol spray. We decided that we could not stay and asked for a refund which was rejected. Wanted to take the lift down to the carpark, but was told by their staff that the lift can't reach the basement, and we have to exit the building and take the stairs instead. We pointed at our luggage and told her it would be difficult, then she assisted to get the lift work for us. Overall, horrifying experience.

A list of issues: 1) Fridge not working and hotel has no spares. The technician came and left saying he will come back with a new one but did not return. Had to find out from front counter when I call. 2) Safe deposit is already locked when we entered. Had to call them to get someone to unlock. Waste time. 3) Shower cap already opened up (not sure who used it). 4) No complimentary mineral water/snacks in the room. 5) No comb/ no sanitary kit. Definitely not worth coming to. You can get better lodging for the same or cheaper price.

The staffs were all very friendly and attentive. We were given the chance to upgrade our stay to their sister hotel at Siloso Beach for a small fee but we chose to stay as our activities planned are around this area. The room is very small and we could hardly move around. There was a foul smell in the toilet that we couldn’t get rid of. Other than that, everything is good. P.S : we actually wanted to book Riverside Robertson Quay which is right next to this hotel but we overlooked 😬

The location is fantastic where the pubs and restaurants are nearby. Check in were smooth and my room is located near the elevator. I am only there for a night. There are carparks for the customers and its complimentary. The place looks kinda old. My room is a family room - a single bed plus a queen size bed. The bathroom is kinda small and we had a hard time getting the liquid bath soap from the container or perhaps it was empty. The TV is not working. And in the morning there was a cockroach roaming around in the room. Just something that I cannot accept. Please bring your own water, surprised that they don't serve bottled water. But they do sell it at the lobby.

This hotel is a great value for the price. The location is fantastic where the pubs and restaurants are nearby.I was pleasantly surprised by their affordability without compromising on comfort. My accommodation was clean,well-maintained,and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient. The only downside is that there are no other amenities, but that's not a big deal for us.Huahua specifically was very friendly. There is a mini fridge in the room which is nice too.

Great location. Beds were comfortable and they had nice showers. We were slightly disappointed when we were informed at check in that the pool and gym service was under renovation and access wasn't allowed. Prior notice would have been much appreciated. Despite this, the location and surrounding restaurants definitely made up for it. Be sure to read the fine print.

The staff was great because I arrived at the hotel early and asked the desk a lot of questions and they were very helpful, recommended me nearby food and were super friendly. For solo travelers, the location of the hotel makes it very convenient for them to visit and try different cuisines. Usually when I want to relax, I will sunbathe on the balcony, the hotel is full of shrubs and the greenery is well done 👍

I must say that the location is amazing, it is quick and easy to get to the any public transport location (either the bus or the metro). There are a lot of great restaurants and cafes around, so you won't have to go far for food (there is also a wide variety of restaurants around if you want to try something new every night), there is also a supermarket and a 7/11 just around the corner too. The rooms here are great, with comfortable beds, the rooms also have air-conditioning that keeps you cool throughout the night. The internet is excellent to use for work or scrolling through social media, the pool area is very nice if you want to relax and swim. The front desk service is amazing and are always friendly to help out with any situation. The lobby has a lot of room for you to sit around and relax or work.

Located at the busiest part of central Singapore, RQH is still leaving at their glorious 80s era. The renovation looks like it was done before millennial. But the facilities were neat and clean. Staff were nice and easy going. Plus side for their free access pool and gym, with a great view of the riverside.

One of the worst hotel I've been to. Super hard bed, genuinely as hard as the floor, was wondering why do i pay to suffer. Asked the recept about the bed issue, their reply is that those newer beds tend to be harder and as time goes it will be softer. Frankly speaking i think its just bs, the bed looks super old, it felt like those judo floor, hard as heck. Seriously hotel 81 is like a 6 star hotel compared to this.

I actually like this hotel, especially the area. It is ideally located and is extremely close to everything (especially Clarke Quay). The furnishings is quite modern and clean, and the staff are attentive. We were lucky to get a pool view, and yes, the swimming pool is huge! I would like to recommend this hotel and come again!

The hotel place at very strategic place. Very convenient for all the shops especially to the restaurants. The hotel is very clean and comfy. Really enjoyed the stay over there. The surrounding also very quiet and can feel the breeze of air. The service is good and pleasant. Overall very satisfying.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Robertson Quay Hotel during my visit to Singapore, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Situated alongside the picturesque Singapore River, this hidden gem offers an affordable stay with an unbeatable location. One of the highlights of this hotel is undoubtedly its prime location. Nestled in the vibrant Robertson Quay district, it offers easy access to some of Singapore's most popular attractions. I was able to take leisurely walks along the riverbank, soaking in the scenic views and exploring the lively dining and entertainment options nearby. With its proximity to Clarke Quay and Orchard Road, I found myself within a short distance of shopping havens and vibrant nightlife, adding excitement and convenience to my stay. I was pleasantly surprised by their affordability without compromising on comfort. My accommodation was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, providing a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel's soundproofing was commendable, ensuring a peaceful environment despite its bustling location. The hotel's dedication to cleanliness and hygiene was evident throughout my stay, further enhancing my peace of mind. The housekeeping staff maintained excellent standards, ensuring that the rooms and common areas were immaculate at all times.

The 7 days SHN was a horrible experience. They refuse to provide ANY service, which is understandable. I wanted a change of bedsheets and asked them to leave some washed bedsheets in front of the door so that I can change them myself; They wanted to charge $10 for this. The room was really small, was not at all like the room that was advertised. No bin inside the room. I had to order food from food panda and stack the garbage in a corner of my room. Could not order anything from the hotel, again understandable. But some times they refused the food panda delivery people to.come upstairs! It's like the devised a perfect deadlock to make the residents suffer.

Highly recommended! I stay here for 3 (actually 2 and I'll tell you why later) nights and the service is excellent. Due to the hotel's maintenance, we were transferred to another hotel for our first night in Singapore without any surcharge and free taxi rides back and forth. We were able to check in early at around 11am on the second day without any surcharge as well. Overall, the receptionists are helpful, smiley and they make me feel like home. The price is affordable and reasonable for a family of 4. The room is well cleaned and fragant with pleasant smell. I'll update more later.

I had an incredibly unpleasant stay at Robertson Quay Hotel, and the experience was marred right from the start by the incredibly rude receptionist, Mr. Han. His lack of courtesy and unprofessional behavior were shocking and unacceptable. Aside from the deplorable treatment by the staff, the overall condition of the hotel was a major disappointment. It fell far short of the standard one would expect from a supposedly star-rated hotel. The place had a rundown and neglected appearance, making it resemble more of a dingy one-star motel rather than a reputable establishment. The rooms were far from inviting. The decor was outdated, and it seemed like no effort had been made to maintain them properly. The bedding and furnishings were worn-out, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. It was a far cry from the comfortable and pristine environment one anticipates in a hotel of this supposed caliber. To add insult to injury, the amenities were severely lacking and falsely advertised. The gym facilities were subpar, with broken equipment that rendered them virtually unusable. The dining options were limited, and the quality of the food was mediocre at best, yet the prices were unjustifiably high. I would strongly advise against anyone considering staying at Robertson Quay Hotel. The unprofessional behavior of the receptionist, coupled with the overall rundown state of the hotel, made for an incredibly unpleasant and regrettable experience. There are far better accommodation options available in the area that genuinely deliver on their promises of comfort and quality.

The service was good and hotel near to ford canning station and bus stop. Although the space was quite small to my liking, the overall amenities are well functioning. However if you plan to check in early, they will charge you additional 25sgd per hour.

Good service from the staff who assisted us when arriving for a short stay. The property is located nice along the Singapore river, has a swimming pool and is close to the night life. Great place!

Prepaid our booking, unfortunately! Spent 5 nights trying to work out which was softer, the tiled floor or the bed. Think the floor had slightly more give in it. The feint background odour of live sewage in the general reception area was an unusual feature. Though a good location with the MRT a short walk away.

The room was comfortable. Location is great, near to all the major attractions. The service was also good everyone were so respectful. I would have appreciated if breakfast buffet was available nevertheless there was a restaurant right next to the hotel. The price was worth for the room compared to singapore prices. I would choose to stay here again

The room was perfect everything was comfortable and clean. The location is perfect since you’re directly next to the riverside walk where there’s many restaurants and activities, but at the same time very classy area. Close to Clarke Quay and the metro station as well and to everything basically. And the service was impeccable ! I really enjoyed it. Would totally recommend it.

Old hotel, paint is peeling away, TV hinge is broken, and hallway smells musty, no complimentary water, bed doesn't seem to be decorated with effort, rusty water pot to boil water. Other than that, I like the location as well as the service. If you're looking for a staycation, I suggest you add to your budget to get better hotels.

  • 1/5 Young Liang (XMight - Y. 5 months ago on Google
My recent stay at Robertson Quay Hotel was underwhelming. The staff's service attitude was notably poor, a significant downside in the hospitality sector. Additionally, the hotel's amenities are outdated, and the rooms feel cramped. The entrance was uninviting and poorly maintained. The air conditioning in the rooms was uncomfortable, directly blowing onto the desk. These issues make it clear why the hotel has received several negative reviews. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in both service and facilities.

Can't beat it for the price. Location is good and it serves it's purpose if you're looking for a clean and cheap place to stay. This isn't five star luxury and it's very dated with small rooms. So just be aware it might not be for everyone. For a single traveller on a budget it's perfect.

I had a wonderful experience at Robertsons Quay Hotel. The rooms were clean, very relaxing, and the staff was exceptional and high quality service especially J who went over and beyond to help make our stay comfortable. Writing this review @4.55am while staying at one of the room here. Firstly , not a place for staycation. Aside from the cheap pricing , hotel is old and run down, car park is cramp. Hotel do not have ice bucket upon request. Air conditioner control is spoilt and I’m freezing over here sleeping on a damaged concave spring bed which they do not bother to change. Body aching like hell now and can’t even sleep properly here. Toilet is cramped, toilet bowl can’t flush down if u have slightly more tissue paper. Honestly , first and the last time I’m staying here. Hotel 81 maybe even better condition than here. This place need a revamp!!!!!

Paid $306/nite for a family room. Although only 2 adults stayed in the room it was very cramp with hardly any space between beds. Room has no complementary bottled water, no tissue paper. Amenities are also closed which was not indicated by the website, unlike other hotels. Very poorly maintained and dilapidated. No COVID control at entry. Carpark also not working. Wonder what the manager is doing. Despite the labels on the phone nothing works except for "0"

Room and bed is adequate, but that's all about it. Ceiling paint is falling off and littering the floor, TV barely works, bugs can be found on wooden furniture, bathroom is way too small, and you can smell if your neighbouring room is doing a number 2. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that are better than this.

  • 1/5 John L. 2 years ago on Google
Simply the worst. The room has no water to drink, heater takes ages to warm up, stayed two night and no one came to make up the room. You’ll feel that this hotel has only 1-2 employees and they are all receptionist, too busy to come up to pass you some toothpaste. For a hotel that charge $160 per night, i don’t recommend.

  • 2/5 L 2 years ago on Google
The room is full of the smell of cigarettes. Only provide me an aromatic spray despite there is someone smoking at their stairwell and there's nothing the hotel can do about it lol... The aircon is too cold and can't adjust the temperature too... Also, facing the bad customer services by the bald guy!?? My stars are given to the convenient location and other staff (not the bald guy!!)

So I'm helping my bro post his review as his review can't be submitted. His checked in for a weekend stay. On checking in. He was already disappointed walking in to the lobby with the dingy lobby. On entering the room. He found that the room assigned to him was smaller than what he had booked. And the TV was not working. He requested for a change of room and got it. This Room at least was of the size he booked. However. The ac was uncontrollable and was set to 'North pole'. There was no way to change the temperature. My bro had to resort to opening his window to let the cool air out. The TV in this room was also physically damaged and they did not resolve the issue. This is a very disappointing experience especially for a hotel. Located in such a nice area.

VERY DISAPPOINTED place to stay. We were so wrong to book 5 night there and pay the full amount as deposit. The picture looks very different with reality. Once we arrived there, the room & the bathroom was very very small, old, dirty, and mouldy! I didn't even brave enough to lay myself on the bed since I have looked around with old curtains and old interior design. Even the window is small and mouldy, we couldn't see our view clearly. And the worst thing is, first night before we sleep there, there was a bug called (tomcat) in the ceiling and fell down near our luggage. This bug is one kind of bug you don't even want to touch, it can caused you feel burn and extremely itchy. At 2am on the first day, we moved out and ask for a refund, they did not give us the money back. They say it's because of the rules. So our money gone and we need to find another hotel. We just took a shower there one time. The bathroom is the smallest bathroom I ever found across Singapore hotel I have stayed in. It has a mouldy ceiling, mouldy walls, just disgusting. The AC can't be adjust. The Lobby looks horror and just very poor maintenance. I have warn you not to stay here. With this price, you can find more affordable and appropriate to stay in Singapore. Never want to coming back here again.

Rooms were clean but there weren't many size options. Location and view were amazing. The closest MRT station is Fort Canning at a 5 minute walk. One thing to note is that breakfast service is not included in the hotel fee. However there is a breakfast bar.

We got a free room upgrade, however, the room was super small. Bathroom was too small and very uncomfortable to use the toilet for plus size people. The heater of the shower is working well. Wifi was working well. Overall room was small, but it's okay since we were out most of the time. Requested for an extra pillow as the pillow was too soft to sleep in. The service from the receptionist were polite and very well heeded. The room was very cold but we could adjust the temperature if we want. Overall was okay but we won't book again. Too small for our liking

Room service didn't change bedsheets even if you are staying for four nights. Same sheets were used over these four nights. Quite disgusting. The shower has issues with water supply as it varies the flow every 10 seconds. No toilet paper were replaced. No extra pillows or blankets were provided. Some of the lights in the room were not working. Poor lighting. Overall very poor hotel compare the room rate. Shocking

I have been staying in this hotel for 1 month plus and still extending for my work purpose. Receptionist provided excellent service to meet your expectation. Carpark is free to guest. Cost per day is very reasonable. Hotel lobby is big and there are many tables and chairs where you can buy food and dine at. Sofa is comfortable. Room view is excellent and housekeeping service is great. Will definitely continue to stay in this hotel.

It is not the fault of the staff who works here. The location is great but the room layout is horrible. I paid for a deluxe room and I got two cots smaller than twin beds and my legs stuck out the bottom more than a foot. The bathroom is unique but usable but the walls and doors are thin. The “updated” rooms were still outdated and the tiny pool area was sub-par. Another guest had a four year old boy using the pool and he decided to pee right into the pool near where I was trying to relax. No staff on duty and his mother did nothing. The common area that used to be a dining room had people sleeping in it at different hours of the day and night. I’m sure that even back in the day this place was an over-rated dump. I would have enjoyed spending all night in the Casino more than the two horrible nights in one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. I did complain about getting peed on and I could hear what sounded like them kicking those guests out of the hotel later that night. I actually felt very happy for them because wherever they went could not have been worse than the Robertson Quay Hotel. Do not consider bringing anyone you care about even close to this place. On the other hand, if you are trying to get someone to break up with you, this would probably do the trick. You have been warned.

It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at although I travel a lot. The bed is really uncomfortable and my room kept getting foggy whenever other people take a shower in the different rooms. Also there’s no hot water to take a shower it barely gets warm. Staff are not helpful at all. Don’t come for the pool it’s ridiculously small and dirty. Don’t waste your money and time here.

It was a indeed a great experience. They have a fascinating interior design and well organized facility. I can highly recommend staying here as the hotel is convenient to all shopping malls, restaurants and train station. Above all they have a courteous and accomodating receptionist and hotel staff.

This hotel is a great value for the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient. The only downside is that there are no other amenities, but that's not a big deal for us.

OK for a short stay. Our room was quite small and disappointed it was set up as a twin as opposed being a double room. Not that it was needed but the TV had about 3 channels which weren't really of interest. The room did have a fridge and safe which we're bonuses. Location is quite good with plenty of eateries and a supermarket nearby. Fort Canning metro station is a short walk and if you don't mind the walk, Chinatown is about 20 minutes away.

One of Singapore's best hotels is the Robertson Quay Hotel. It's a really clean environment. The price is also really reasonable. The employees are incredibly pleasant and courteous. The room I took was clean and pleasant, and it was ideal. The location of the hotel is ideal because it's close to the riverbank promenade, which has a lot of dining options and entertainment options, which also in a really elegant area. And the service was flawless! It was incredibly enjoyable experience to me. Without a doubt, I would suggest it. It was well worth the money because the food was so very good.

From the moment we entered the hotel lobby, we were impressed. The interior decor was luxurious yet warm and inviting. The family room that we booked was spacious and clean with comfortable double beds and linens. The room was overlooking which had a fabulous view. There is a kettle, a small fridge and a large TV which we loved. The bathroom was nicely decorated with unique tiles. They provided plush towels and top of the line toiletry sets which they would replace every day.
