I am usually not one to air grievances, but my recent stay at Ji Hotel Singapore was such a letdown that I feel obligated to share my experience. Despite the steep price tag of over $350 per night, the hotel fell woefully short of the standard expected at this price point. The most glaring issue was the noise. The room was anything but quiet, with a constant barrage of sounds from the neighboring rooms piercing through the thin walls. The lack of sound insulation was simply unacceptable, making it a challenge to unwind or rest. The walls themselves seemed to be made of some flimsy material instead of concrete, which not only facilitated the noise but also caused them to shake with the activities in the adjacent room. This was not just disturbing, but also alarming. I attempted to address these concerns with the hotel staff, but their response was far from satisfactory. After lodging complaints about the noise and the shaking walls on two separate occasions, their only reassurance was that they would send someone to investigate. However, no follow-up was made, and the noise and shaking continued unabated until nearly midnight. The physical conditions of the room were equally disappointing. The floor, possibly affected by the humidity, was uneven, causing the tea table to perpetually shake. This instability made it impossible to relax or place anything on the table without it teetering. The hotel's restrictive policy on bottled water further added to my frustration. I was informed that only two bottles of water were allowed per day. This is a first for me at a Ji Hotel, and it is certainly not a standard practice at other hotels in this price range, where water is typically provided upon request. To top it all off, the room's ventilation was inadequate. The windows were sealed shut, leading to a stuffy and uncomfortable atmosphere. For anyone considering a stay here, I would strongly advise exploring other options. At a rate of over $350 a night, one should expect a far superior experience.

Surprisingly clean and spacious room at Ji Hotel. Toilet was modern and had a good large mirror. Toiletries provided were good. Bed was large and comfortable. TV was a older model and had difficulty connecting to phone. Only connects to Android phone. Fridge was small and not cool enough. Value for money at the price we paid. Walls a little thin but otherwise very good experience. Would definitely recommend for younger travellers looking to save some cash and have a comfy stay.

Cons 1. Check in at 3pm, check out at 11am - policy. 2. No spray bidet in toilet, being removed as the water outlet pipe being sealed. 3. Unfriendly staff, very hostile treatment and not accomodating. (Called front desk for stirer/spoon as I was making my hot drink in my room, front desk staff simply told me to come to the front desk at level 1 to get it) (When came, left for dinner/lunch and left for good on last day.. there is no SINGLE greet from the front desk) 4. Micromanage (Just arrived hotel, took the lift with my wife and two other relatives, and there was a Ji Hotel staff in blazers/coat with us. Ask her we are going to level 8, and she gave a doubtful tone acknowledgement. She left at level 6 and continued to level 8. Me and wife entered our room while my two other relatives entered theirs. Few minutes later, heard a loud bang from our main entrance door, we realized the door was being opened forcefully and it was blocked by the door latch, thank God my wife latched upon entering. I shouted in anger (what is that??!) Immediately heard a woman voice in panic and my wife quickly open the door to inspect. Turn out that the cleaner was ordered by the management to check our room as they suspected there are 4 person. My wife saw this written message on the cleaner's phone. So high chance if you guys book and they suspect something not right, they will just barge in your room! Can say, the cleaners and technical staff are friendly.. but those under the front desk workers and especially those high ranks in blazers/coat.. very hostile treatment and not friendly. Pros 1. Huge TV (65" I guess)

Room on the 3rd floor, room number 8309. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view of a beautiful tree The aircon did not work, we had to keep resetting it, it would default to 20C. Then it would randomly turn off completely. We advised the management, they had no recourse. We didn't like the clear toilet room door.

Won’t come back for next time. Room is not clean, got so many ants on the bed, get bitten during sleep time for 4 days. Already told the cleaning staff no improvement at all, we stay for 4n5d from first day till end still got so many ants. Not worth the price. Location on the other hands near mrt station. But room cleaning needs lots of improvement

Positives: Clean room, comfortable bed, powerful shower Excellent location (shopping centre and metro station only a short walk away) Polite, helpful staff Negatives: No privacy when using the shower/ toilet Small room (but to be fair, we were expecting this) Although we could hear other guests walking by our room, the noise was no worse than other (more expensive) hotels that we visited. This is very much a budget hotel, suitable just to sleep.

At its price point, probably the best combination of location, design, and value for hotel in central Singapore. Already gone back to stay at this hotel on two different occasions and will definitely consider again in the future. Small boutique hotel, but decent room size for Singaporean hotel. Nicely designed; Japandi style. Friendly housekeeping staffs. Large TV screen. Small gym with one treadmill and one exercise cycle. Microwave is available to heat takeaways. Self-service laundry (which is uncommon I believe at Singaporean hotels and such a huge plus). And the best part, its location. Literally only one pedestrian crossing away from Dhobby Ghaut MRT exit B and bus stops, meaning just 2 blocks away from Plaza Singapura, 1 block away from the beautiful Fort Canning Park.

Late at night happen to park my car nearby and wait a while to pick up passenger. Later enter and use hotel toilet at lobby. Security officer saw after that and make a big fuss and rudely ask who are you and after explain to him and was told need to ask permission from reception. Maybe this is how small hotel work. Never even once question by anybody for those big hotel even the security officer are there.

Very clean accommodation, booked it to spend the festive season. Overall good ambience, although bathroom door is alittle translucent. Location is convenient too.

Great location. 2 minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT. Convenient distance to Plaza Singapura. Nice room and room amenities esp large TV. Only odd thing to me was the translucent glass toilet wall. Not sure if all rooms are like that. Otherwise good price, good location, clean and nice firm bed mattress.

Really nice rooms but we had a few weird things happen during our time there. My AC stopped working one of the nights, and we heard random power outage/ switches going off in the early mornings. Love the location and room aesthetics though, definitely a nice place to wind down!

Stayed for three nights. Overwhelmed by the smell of drainage and dust mites on the bed sheets. No sleep during the first two nights. Situation slightly improved after reflecting to the staff. Location is good.

Used to be a Top member of ji in China when setting up a plant there. no idea if they are a franchise or directly owned, but Ji is normally nice for simple no frills rooms when you do not expect any guests(will appear 寒酸)Otherwise this is in a nice part of town, rooms wise this is what you expect for this standard.

It was my first staycation at Ji Hotel and I have to say it is a great hotel in terms of their room and customer service. The room was spacious for 2 people (even the bathroom) and what caught my attention was the huge tv! And I just want to praise Jielin as she was the front desk staff that assisted me with all of my queries. Thank you for telling me about the TV screen mirroring function as I enjoyed it very much. A gem to the team and keep up the good work! Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

So satisfied with their location and the minimal interior design of the room. You can go anywhere within 20 mins. And their staff is also nice . But about the room, the disgusting smell kept coming from the shower/toilet, which made me feel like vomiting. And their housekeeper forgot to do a couple of things very often. One day they didn’t refill the tea they provide, another day they didn’t remove hair on the floor.

Arrived to Singapore 7 am in the morning. When arriving at the hotel around 10 am, the staff took care of our luggage but refused an early check-in. Disappointing news for me and my wife because of a long flight where I got zero sleep. We were surprised to see the size of the room. It definitely looked larger in pictures online so be mindful of that. There is virtually no privacy in the bathroom which was awkward to say the least for newly weds like myself and my wife. More expensive than I would have thought but the biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely the location. Short walk across the street to a metro station and mall. And two stations away from Orchard road or even a 15 minute walk if you are up for it. Overall the room was comfortable when we needed it. We spent most of the day out and about touring Singapore so we would come back to spend the night.

It is a comforting to know that you will stay in a posh small hotel with true comfort of being home away from home. All the special touch in the room is just nice. The tea set, nice shower, nice scented/ aroma therapy shampoo and body soap are all just a plus. The room though may feel small, but the comfort of the bed is hard to ignore for a traveler. Then, you get the superb location from Plaza Singapore and great coffee shop “0 degree Celsius” are just next door. MRT and bus just a couple of minute away… what else can you ask! Definitely we will be back…

Great location, clean and tidy room. Good interior lighting and control. The big tv screen is a big plus for movies. The rain shower was a comfort for the cold night. The morning breakfast was sufficient and neat. The only annoying issue was the slamming door sound from the other rooms. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

Recommend this hotel! Compact small rooms, but well organized with everything you need. Stayed here for 3 nights by myself during a longer travel period around Asia, room was perfect for one person or a couple. Glad the hotel has washing and dryer machine which you can use at any time, S$6 for 30minute wash including laundry detergent. The gym just has a bike and treadmill, but nice if you want to have ride/run in the middle of day with hot outside temperatures in Singapore, considering the hotel only recently opened, maybe expanding the gym a bit could be a tip. Location is great, super central to orchard road and to dhoby ghaut MRT station which easily links to almost all MRT lines. No real negatives about this hotel at all, only the airco was quite loud even with fan on low, and not many settings could be changed. And possibly isolating room a bit better for noise, as you could hear noises in the hallway quite well. And add a safe to the room, always feels a bit better when you can leave travel documents and personal belongings in a safe. Nonetheless, really enjoyed my stay here, very affordable hotels considering Singapore prices and would definitely come back or recommend to others traveling to Singapore.

Rooms have no in room safe and no noise insulation. You can hear others walking outside of your door. And there is an outdoor kareoke below the hotel, we had to suffer the terrible singers all night, nonstop.

Love the location, spacious room, great shower, huge entertainment TV and comfy bed. Rooms needed detail cleaning though. Dust in corners piled up, bed not done up properly. Needed to be reminded again and again to top-up necessities. No coffee making facilities like most hotels charging this rate. Room for improvement to make this the perfect getaway hotel stay. None the less, we hope to return as absolutely love the quiet floor with only 3 rooms at our end of hotel block.

I had a 4d3n stay here from 28 Oct 2022 to 31 Oct 2022. Pros: 1. Walking distance to Dhoby Ghaut station which connects to three different MRT lines 2. Nearby Plaza Singapura, tons of foods and shopping can be done 3. Minimalistic interior design, umbrella and torchlight available to be borrowed out during the premise of the stay Cons 1. Cleaning/room services are enabled by default even if the "Clean" door handle is not shown at the door. On 29th Oct 2022 night, I noticed the problem and informed front desk not to do it anymore during my stay unless requested but it happened again on 30th Oct 2022 night. Although nothing is lost but I value the privacy of my stay wherever I go. Stayed over in various kinds of hotel/hostel/Airbnb but this is the first time I'll be giving a one star review due to this. 2. The lift door opening/closing is oddly slow There's not much cons but honestly the privacy part is just plain awful for me. Will I return? Most probably not, depending if there's any resolution to the cons above.

Nice minimalistic rooms, modern and clean. Friendly and helpful staff! Good location for sightseeing by walking, public transport or Grab. We would book this hotel again! Great breakfast at Killiney, which is only around the corner of the hotel. Only 4 stars for service as toilet paper was just replenished with half empty rolls…

The place are nice and comfortable, but they took my Deposit of $100 and they say will refund me the deposit once I have check out! And I tried to contact them but there wasn’t any replies or text from them either for the update of deposit! There’s no explanation too! Room is nice, hotel is comfy but the efficiency of customer service really need to be improved:( kinda sad to be the one chasing for an answer or update!

Booked a 3D2N staycation in late-September, terrible experience although the price of the room was very affordable ($240 for 2 nights, Deluxe Room). First, check-in timing was 3pm but although we reached on time at 2.55pm, we were told the rooms were still being cleaned due to "late checkouts" by previous guests, and were made to wait until slightly past 4pm. Hotel refused to give any compensation beyond extending checkout time by half an hour. What was worse was that our room was barely cleaned - when we went up to the room, there were stray hairs lying around the bedside table. After raising this, the hotel management got the cleaners to clean ONLY the bedside table and claimed that the rest of the room was properly cleaned. (??) Also, just before turning in for the night, we used 1 of the 2 mugs at the sink at it reeked strongly of saliva, although the other 1 did not at all (this is arguably worse - probably means the previous occupant used 1 mug and not the other, and the hotel staff likely did not clean both). On the plus side, we really loved the shampoo and soap, and the room decor was clean and nice. We'll never return again though.

Check in at 3pm. They start to allow check ins at 245pm. If you are early there is only 1 sofa for 2x couples to sit down, and you have to stand there or they advise you to go for a walk and come back nearing to 3pm. Room was nice and cozy. Shower area consist of fragrant shampoos and body soap. Rain shower was good. Huge tv makes the stay even better. Close by to P.S, lots of food choices there as well as supermarket.

Worse than a nightmare!!! We wanted to enjoy our staycation since we can't go out from the country due to this pandemic.but turns out to be a horrible experience..there was a dried blood stains in our blanket.it means they never change it every after guest check out!!! They should be careful and sensitive especially at this state.. we called to change and gave us crumpled blanket . turned out we didn't sleep and can't wait to check out the next morning 😱😱😱

Pleasant 3d2n and conveniently in town. Very simple and fuss free getaway, definitely staying again. But here are some things to take note of: TV has a volume limiter to 20. Bedroom slippers out of stock when we asked front desk for it. Simple amenities such as cotton buds should be sufficient in quantity for the number of pax x the number of days they're staying and not simply put 1 packet only. Slight aircon condensation but not leaking yet (visible stains forming on the wall). Pillows a tad too soft. Had a corner room but could hear doors being slammed when closed on the level.

After reading some of the reviews, I had to lower my expectations especially since I got this room from Agoda at a very discounted price. But Ji Orchard didn't disappoint at all. I am truly satisfied with my stay. It had all the basic amenities in a minimalist and modern package. It was near the Dhoby Gaut Station and Plaza Singapura Mall. The walk to those locations was very pleasant, through a park. I would love to come back.

Hotel was comfortable and location was good. Loved the minimalistic interior design. However, on our last day of our stay, we found out that our mini bar fridge was not thoroughly cleaned, it had stain, we did not use the minibar fridge. It was a disappointing find.

Nice and spacious room but the service was not up to expectations. Later check in and earlier check out timing. Breakfast have to self-collect from hotel counter and the budget for breakfast quite cheap. Basic toiletries like toothbrush and toothpaste not provided.

This is my second time at Ji Hotel, and i've always loved how clean the hotel is. Even though the hotel is small but it does not feel small at all. TV was huge, bed was comfortable and the team at Ji hotel was very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to the check in staff, Jacky who made check in a breeze and also helped me with my request of a specific room i wanted. Everything is great about Ji hotel! Also very conveniently located, near plaza singapura. Will definitely be coming back :) Thank you team @ Ji Hotel

Modern, minimalistic and clean hotel good for solo travellers. Love the huge TV (do note volume level is only up till 20) that’s good for relaxing after a day of work and the mirror with light thats good for making up. Super convenient and less than 5 mins walk to PS - lots of food and cafe options nearby. Can hear other guests closing and opening their doors but didn’t find that an issue, still had 2 good nights of sleep on the comfortable bed. Will definitely consider coming back for another staycation to try the other rooms!

~Review Verdict~ Price: ~S$100 / night (through Klook) Service: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Cleanliness: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Design: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Amenities: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Location: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Value: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Absolutely love this place! We got the superior room for two package. This was a great staycation experience for us! The hotel is extremely clean. The minimalist design is great! The hotel service staff are friendly. The bathroom has all necessary toiletries for you to shower, including towels, soap and shampoo, and toothbrush/toothpaste. There is a large TV screen just right in front of the bed, which you could watch shows on. They have quite a variety of channels! Besides that, there is also a coffee table and couch which you can chill on. The location is fantastic, being a stone throw just away from Dhoby Ghaut, which is the central prime location of Singapore, where there are tonnes of restaurants and places to shop! Highly recommend this place!

I recently stayed for 5 nights and would highly recommend this hotel. Near to everywhere, especially Dhoby Ghaut MRT and the bus station. The rooms are very comfortable and quite spacious. The staff is also very polite. I once forgot to bring wallet and left it in the room, but the wallet & money are still there. Thank you. However, please improve the housekeeper, 1-2x they forgot to put towels in my room and my friend’s room

I was only in Singapore for 1 week before returning to Thailand. I especially liked the location of the hotel because I had easy access to the heart of the city by walking. I found the hotel calm and it is a quality that I seek above all. The cleaning of the room was impeccable, I was able to chat a little with Mrs. Sasa who took care of it and she was so nice that it is the most positive side that I retain from my stay at the hotel!
