I have stayed here for more than five days now and I would like to say that it has been a great stay so far. 1) Walked into a spotlessly clean room. Everything was new and of excellent quality. 2) Well-equipped room with a kitchenette and a good size fridge. 3) Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are from a very good brand and not provided in small plastic containers, which is great because it is more environmentally friendly. 👍🏼 4) Filtered water provided from a separate tap. Nice touch because it eliminates use of plastic bottles and saves me time and effort from having to boil water. Though Singapore tap water is drinkable anyway so that isn’t strictly necessary. 5) The service! Despite the current difficult circumstances, the check-in process was smooth, and everyone was polite and friendly. Felt comfortable immediately. Deliveries and requested items are sent up to the room within minutes. Amazing! Many thanks to the Capri by Fraser team 🙏🏼

Great hotel in an awesome location in the middle of China town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was not quite amazing was the breakfast, especially if you are after a continental breakfast. I wouldn’t recommend taking the breakfast as there are many options to have breakfast around the hotel. Other than that can definitely recommend the hotel!

Even doh i stayed here for SHN, i would definitely want to come back for staycay! This is one of the nicest Capri i have been to, compared to others in the region (when travelling was still allowed). The room is super fresh, well appointed (size and switches, amenities and all). More importantly the team here is ever so helpful, ever so nice! Special thanks to the Japanese sounding lady who checked me in and was assisiting on various occasion during phone request. She nv fail to always ask if there was anything / help needed with. Otherwise the hotel is in a awesome location, near to the train station and a stone throw away to historical chinatown conservation area. And not forgetting close enough to business areas!

I am currently staying at "Capri by Fraser" for a seven day trip. My experience is disappointing. What disappoints me the most is that my missed expectations are on some very basic aspects of hospitality. I am someone who smiles a lot and is intentionally always polite and friendly to hospitality staff. Here at Capri, it is near impossible to get a smile from the breakfast staff. Also don't expect to get a tea pot or a slice or lemon. "We don't have lemon" they say as I stand next to the infused water station (with lemon slices inside). Since night one of my arrival, I have asked three times for Chamomile tea and always been met with "we don't have any". Again, it is right there on display in "the Den" which I don't have access to in my package. What could possibly possess a hotel to refuse a guest a tea bag (they are complimentary too in the room). The room door is also damaged and requires force to close with the lock not working (1219). Be sure to close your eyes if you use the steam room...the floor is layered with dust and hair. How sad to not receive smiles or such basic amenities. I won't be returning to this hotel and will be suggesting my company change partner hotel too.

It was my first time in Singapore and Capri by Fraser made my time there worthwhile. The reception while checking in was great. Didn’t take long and helpful. The elevators are easy to locate and easy to find your way around the building. Loved the modern design of the rooms. The bed was comfy. The kitchen had the necessary equipment for preparing something. Just felt a little bit squeezed. The room that I was in had a very beautiful view of the city. The concierge was literally the best thing about the place . So helpful so professional and kind. We ordered in two nights in a row and I may say the first night I got a stomach bug from the noodles (sorry I forgot the name but will add a picture of the food) it was made up of boiled eggs and tofu and prawns. Didn’t enjoy the meal I would give it a 1/10. But the second night I had the chicken curry with rice and my oh my.. it was absolutely delicious. The prawn crackers, the rice, the chicken… was made so good. They have a wide selection of wine but they don’t seem to have the wines in stock. Also sometimes it wasn’t easy to communicate with some of the service people but we got by. Loved that the hotel was near the mall and other places to eat and drink. The pool was always clean and towels plenty and easily accessible. The gym was also nice. I have bits and pieces of the whole place with a mall pic too.I would give this place an overall 9/10.

Booked 3 “Studio Deluxe Rooms” for a family trip and was expecting a pleasant stay given the high rating on internet. Very disappointing to find out that 2 out of 3 the “Studios Deluxe Rooms” are nothing close to the photos and descriptions we found on official website & Agoda. (Shortly after we found that 2 of our 6 passports were not returned to us after check-in…) Instead of a heritage view, the rooms are facing office facade just across a narrow lane and we literally can see staff giving presentations at their workplace. Wouldn’t have booked any of such studio deluxe rooms at the first place if we knew that it actually feel worse than a regular room with heritage view… Hotel staff told us that “view of a deluxe studio room is subject to availability”. If so, please make sure such information is available on your official website as the current information (both photo & text) is simply misleading. Obviously they didn’t care as “they are 99% fully booked” and “can’t tell if any studio rooms with heritage view will be available in the coming few days” (seriously?) until a manager later stepped in. Beside, while I’m well aware that “studio deluxe rooms with bathtub or shower are subject to availability” according to official website, a bathtub with hair of last occupant is not expected… ***update on room change arrangement*** Thanks for your reply Helmi, and here’s how the story went on… We do appreciate your staff calling on July 30 morning to confirm us that room change can be arranged on that day (still a nice gesture on the last day of our stay). We were told to pack and leave our luggages in our original deluxe studio rooms before we go out in the morning, and they would move our luggages to the new rooms, so we just need to get the new cards when we return to the hotel. The staff had also kindly asked when we plan to get out (0930) and the no. of luggages we have (4-5 pieces) for more than once. So it was rather surprising that none of the luggages was found in the new deluxe studio rooms when we got the new room keys in late afternoon (around 1730)… Well we’re told to wait but then the luggages were still nowhere to find after 2 hours (1930) upon our return from a quick walk around… The duty manager said she thought we might have moved the luggages ourselves (after returning the old room keys?) and was sorry for the situation. Actually we could’ve done it ourselves if allowed given the new rooms are actually on the same floor as the old ones… Well finally all luggages arrived at around 1945 (exactly when our dinner reservation was, luckily the restaurant was within walking distance or we might have missed our dinner appointment…). Sorry to be a pain but it’s beyond doubt that something’s wrong with the hotel management…

The entire stay was horrid. I stayed for almost one month on business. I requested a twin room because I like the extra space to put my items on, and I was accused of trying to have another person in the room which wasn't the case by the front desk staff upon check-in. The initial room I was in had an awful smell due to the dehumidifier and it was very hot and instead of just giving me a new room the staff at the front desk was extremely rude to me when I brought it up and insisted that it was normal for their rooms to smell like that. They also sent maintenance up who could not solve the AC problem, but the tech continued to lurk outside my room even after I said it was fine and willing to wait to see if the problem would go away, and when I opened the door he confronted me and asked if I was complaining again to my boss, then claimed I had too high expectations and he simply couldn't do anything. I was not able to change my room until around 8 PM. They also insisted they had no extra duvets (and the duvets on the twin beds are SMALL) and kept sending me blankets in sheets, even after I insisted it was okay. I switched to a King room after this. The walls are so thin you can hear everyone in the rooms around you. The dishes in the room were dirty, the refridgerator also had a bad smell. The breakfast is disgusting for the price you pay. Food was lukewarm, everything tasted like it has gone bad, especially the juice. The elevators were faulty all the time (as in, would 'jump' while I was inside as if it was going to fall) and they did not close it down for proper maintenance. The staff at the lobby are so creepy especially as a young woman staying alone. At a hotel I am leaving and coming back as I please, or so I believed, but the one of the concierge would comment on me coming and going, asking where I am going, asking why I come back late.. etc. I was also woken up multiple times by the staff at the front desk around midnight because they do not have the correct room from people requesting items and I would wake up to staff at my door knocking continuously and then phone calls for things that aren't even for my room. The facilities were also subpar, hardly any gym equipment, the laundry machines smelled of mold and mildew, and the pool was also disgustingly dirty. Overall it was such an unpleasant stay for the price of the hotel, maybe okay for families, but definitely not for business and I would not be staying here again.

This is my 2nd time i stay in this hotel with my family, the first one is in 2019. Not a lot change. The check-in still take times, the services is still good. Let me summarize by giving pros and cons list about this hotel: Pros: + clean + spacious room (for singapore standart) + they have water bidet + strategic location + the staffs are so friendly and helpful + 450m from MRT downtown + near bus stations + laundry room + microwave and utensil (semi serviced apartment-hotel) + good view from hotel rooftop + near we work co working space (which really helpful if you WFA) Cons - really expensive deposit (S$50/night/room) - not every lift lead to rooftop so we have to take stairs from level 15 - the laudry machine only accept $5 and $10 bills (which really incovenient if you don’t have those two) -

We stayed here for our 14 days “Stay Home Order”. 2 stars for the room we stayed in. Hotel staff are wonderful. But the food served during our SHN tasted horrible. Pasta texture was like rubber bands, bland and tasteless, broccoli was uncooked. If you have a choice to pick your SHN, stay away from here.

Served SHN here and must say the service and rooms are very good!! The staff are all super friendly and made the mandatory 10 day stay in the room more than bearable. The bed is comfortable without being overly soft and it is like almost BRAND NEW! THE only grouse is the road leading into the hotel and the round about can be easily by drivers.

Location, location, location. There are so many bars and restaurants within walking distance of this hotel it's hard to count them. The beds are soft. I've stayed in Singapore several times before. Some beds are like a concrete block (for $300 a night of more). I would definitely stay here again.

Just checked in and I am falling in love with this hotel. I am staying in the executive suite. The rooms are clean and with complimentary Nespresso. Staying in executive suite gives us the privilege to visit the lounge, The Den for drinks and relax. Between 6pm to 8pm there will be wine and some snacks. Both my hubby and I like the ambience and enjoy our drinks. I am looking forward to tomorrow breakfast before I write another review😊 so far my experience is great and the staff are friendly and present too.

Hotel’s location is unbeatable, situated in the heart of china square, having easy access to many restaurants. Hotel staff deserves special mention for smooth and fast check in and out. Rooms are specious and amenities provided exceeded our expectations.

Great location, 5 mins walk to Chinatown MRT Station. You can find restaurants and a hawker centre nearby. The room quite big and clean. Good services.

This is my first time staying here, and overall, everything is good. The only reason I can’t rate 4-5 stars is the breakfast; it’s pretty disappointing. The variety of food is relatively poor, and this is the first time I’m not looking forward to the hotel breakfast out of so many hotel stays I had so far. Though, the staff is friendly. I had early check-in at 10am+ (I requested it because of my early arrival) and late check-out at 3 pm (because my flight was late night). Will come back again but won’t be including the breakfast with the room.

Great location, walking distance to 2 MRT station: ChinaTown and Talok Ayer. Lots of eateries in the area. Room was clean, bedding was comfortable, with good in room amenities. Though hotel is situated between 2 office buildings, a bit of privacy concern if leave curtain open. What we loved the most is probably that hotel provide filtered tap drinking water instead of bottled. very environmental conscious. Will definitely choose to stay again

I had a great experience with the hospitality at this hotel. As soon as I arrived, the staff was very helpful. I especially appreciate the assistance I received from the concierge team members, Segar, Sim and Gopal, with my luggage. The room was spacious and modern, with an open bathroom concept. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. The hotel's location is strategic and conveniently close to several subway stations.

Enjoy staying here, facilities and amenities here are quite remarkable despite of some minor difficulty at check-in and super-small shower room that you (traveller) have to cautious aware of closing fragile door. Impressively, there are 2 plugs are international function usable and several additional safety uk type plugs, microwave, dishes set, glass of water and more. Looking forward to my next stay here. Keep up with the standard and higher. By the way, some of staffs here are very friendly and delicately took care of my family. ☺️😊😍

I checked in about 2.30pm and got my room within a few minutes. A Superior Double bed room. I paid the incidentals deposit in cash and asked for a Receipt. The cash was returned on check-out. My room was large, stylish and very clean. The open bathroom vanity area was nice and I loved the dark veined marble surface. I did find the toilet and shower glass doors very heavy to open. The bed was very comfortable. There was a good simply styled desk area. I liked the decor colours and the fabric wallpaper and curtains had a nice texture. Plenty of TV channels but a lot of news and sport. Didn’t find much to watch. Lighting system was a bit odd to operate. What didn’t work was the round bedside furniture thing. It looks interesting but was a nuisance. The black upright bar/handle was in the way when I tried reaching for my coffee or reading glasses and I hit my hand on it a few times. The kitchenette was set up for simple re-heating of frozen or takeaway food and making hot drinks. They did have some crockery and cutlery but I had my own plastic/melamine plate and bowl so used those. But anyone would be able to make a simple meal using what’s provided. HOTEL LOCATION:- tucked away down a driveway, and I had to take care to watch for oncoming cars. Capri by Fraser China Square hotel also has a nice modern stylish atmosphere. I had a comfortable stay.

Room is excellent. Location is excellent, tucked between Chinatown and the CBD. Surrounded by good cafes, bars, and restaurants. Very nice pool on the roof. Service gets a 4 not because of the people (front desk and concierge staff very kind and helpful) but this is a business hotel with no food; not "dining" as the profile says. No lunch or dinner, no room service (which is not good for people working from their room). Even very little in the way of in-room tea or coffee etc: bring own teabags and milk. Power points taking almost every world plug is great! Plenty of USB ports. Lights are quite annoying to operate. Breakfast is expensive and a bit odd (not much in the way of "western" breakfast). Odd meaning things like tandoori chicken for breakfast. Surprisingly almost no fresh fruit. And duck "bacon"? C'mon folks, no excuse not to also have actual bacon.

I had a very bad experience with this hotel. Arrived at 2am 11/13 with my business colleague and was told my second reservation was not in the system. To solve the problem quickly, we decided to rebook the reservation assuming something went wrong with the first one. Upon finding out the first reservation was correct and the reception clerk made a mistake, I asked for a refund double booking. After days of asking for a decision, they finally told me my refund request was denied. I had to contact my visa company to handle the matter. Hotel management was very rude and non apologetic for the trouble they caused. They made me feel like the incident was my fault and comfortable with charging me for 3 rooms when we only used two. For the quality of the hotel, management needs better training.

Perfect location for those interested in being close to China town, eating cheap, and catching the downtown line. Excellent service, they really took care of us. We travelled with a baby and were situated an excellent king room on level 15 with a view of the temple.

One of the reading lights wont turn off which means it’s impossible to sleep. Ridiculous Absolutely horrible experience, had to have hotel staff come into my room at 1:30am w ladder to literally remove the light so it can be turned off Astounding that maintenance can be so poor at a hotel of this price point

Perfect hotel for a city trip to SG. Conveniently located within walking distance of Bay Area, Fort Canning Park and Chinatown. MRT station is just a few minutes away. Staff is exceptionally friendly and rooms are modern, spacious and very clean. Changing rooms with shower could be used even after check out which was perfect for us since we left on a late night flight. 10/10, would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was on SHN in this hotel, good room with small kitchenette. The room is clean and well designed. The only issue is if you have noisy neighbors, you will hear everything. Management of the hotel is nice and responsive of requests.

  • 5/5 Naomi K. 3 years ago on Google
Stayed here for two weeks during my SHN, with my family. We asked for joint rooms and they kindly gave us two rooms connected by a little hallway, which was wonderful. The reception staff were chirpy and friendly during check in. The staff that greeted us whenever we dialled 0 were also very helpful, always asking what else they can get for us. Service staff who brought stuff to our room were also a happy bunch. The concierge were capable and on top of their job. The rooms we got were super clean. All the furniture and equipment were new and perfectly functioning. There were no stains or cockroaches, and it seems to be that the rooms are very well kept. We could not hear outside traffic which was really nice. Room for improvement - windows that prevent the outside from seeing in would be much better, as our rooms faced office buildings. It would have been good if it didn’t take 4-5 days for our chosen meals to arrive (from Shiok catering). Although not the hotel’s fault, the meals were repetitive, and in the first few days quite unappetising. Perhaps a variety of caterers would make the meals less boring. Overall, we had a really positive experience staying at this hotel, and are very grateful to all the wonderful staff who made our stay better. Thank you staff @ Capri Fraser for making our homecoming a comfortable one!:)

We enjoyed our stay at Capri China Square so much that we extended our reservation twice. Our reservation included club access which included happy hour from 6-8pm (alcohol and small bites such as satay and fries or chicken wings and fries). The staff from the club were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time conversing with Zain who really wanted to get our feedback about our experience at the hotel. Daniel went above and beyond to help us get extended checkout since we have a late flight. The hotel is also conveniently located between Chinatown and Boat Quay. Very walkable with lots of different food options nearby. Our room was well maintained and extremely clean with hardwood floors instead of carpet. The kitchenette in the room includes a filtered water spout, microwave, and electric kettle. I also enjoyed the steam room which was immaculate with easy to use lockers in the change room and high quality toiletries (same as the ones in the room). Overall, our experience was exceptional. The staff really cares and seem happy to work here. I would definitely look to stay here again the next time we are in town.

Lovely hotel. We served our 14 day SHN here. Sim, Zain, Olivia, Esther and the team were fantastic. Right from check-in through to warmly addressing even the most minor concerns we had. They all made us feel very welcome and at home. The hotel is in a lovely location. There were some aspects of the room that could have been better designed. 1. The master switch for the lights is furthest away from the front door rather than at the entrance 2. The bathroom cubicle and shower have two additional doors unnecessarily. So, including the door to enter the bathroom, there are three doors ^==^ 3. The clothes cupboard door is behind the front door to the room which makes accessibility a problem alot of the time 4. The towel racks in the studio bathroom are inconveniently placed as far away as possible from the shower 5. Desk lighting is not suited to video calling 6. The vanity shower lights in both bathrooms kept blinking disco style....

The hotel is very well located and has a “funky” design, but the room layout is terrible for more than one person as there is no separate room for the shower and toilet, and even the sink is located a few centimeters from the bed - so you get zero privacy. Also - we paid extra for a deluxe room that offered “city views” but got a lower floor room with very limited view. On top of everything - the area gets quite loud at night with music from bars around getting in the way of sleeping. Recommended for single travelers who need this location and get a decent deal

  • 2/5 Alvina G. 1 year ago on Google
Room was ok and clean. Think the hotel was overbooked on 2/7, when we arrived at the hotel there were more than 10 guests waiting around the lobby for the room. Only managed to check in at 5.30pm. Was frustrating because we booked the room to get ready for a wedding nearby that starts at 6pm. Situation could have been better managed if staffs were more professional and at least open up the dining area for people to sit around and serve some water to waiting guests.

Location is great but over priced. We are a group of 3, Hotel wanted me to pay extra for extra bed in the room when I booked for 3 people, they where aware and though price includes 3rd person. Pool was not available during our stay. Wouldn't have bothered to book if I knew this. Hotels should have let their guest know this in advance and or provide a discount for the rooms. When it rains the rain feels like it is in the room with you. So loud.

Location was great. Concierge was superb. Extra helpful all the way through. However, Breakfast was awful, It's in a box. Wanna eat soggy croissants?... go to this hotel. Reception can be improved a lot. Somehow i couldn't feel the level of warmth i normally get in a hotel like this. This is my 6th fraser experience and by far need the most improvements.

Location and room are actually nice, but unfortunately service is very very bad. I had booked several rooms for my guests from overseas and they all can't check in before 3pm. Deposit was done by my 1st guest for everyone but receptionist still asked for deposit again from each room, until my 1st guest came down to show the receipt!

Stayed in an executive room. Rooms are modern and new with a mini kitchenette with a microwave and fridge (my fridge wasn't working). There is no actual bathroom so you can hear whoever is showering and using the toilet very loudly - annoying if one person is trying to nap. The executive club (called The Den) is a nice space but probably not worth paying extra for - you don't get breakfast and the evening cocktails only has Tiger beer and a mediocre red and white wine (free flow) with a sad looking cheese platter. There are all day sandwiches and soft drinks but these aren't all that great. The pool was probably the best part of the stay - on the roof with a nice view and big enough to swim around a bit! Service and their system left much to be desired: a lot of hiccups (didn't notice my guaranteed late checkout, card didn't have access to The Den, card access to our room ended before our late checkout time, etc.) and staff were cordial but not friendly, which altogether really affected the quality of the stay. Probably wouldn't stay again.

Once a service apartment turned into hotel, this is a place to stay in Singapore. Very spacious and offers basic kitchen equipment in case you want it, though you literally can't go hungry in this city. This is a financial district area, hence do not be surprised if the surrounding area is closed during weekend.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location is near numerous restaurants and shopping areas including the china town night market. The restaurants nearby hit all of the marks such as street food, hawker centers, casual restaurants, bars, eastern style eateries, and just about every genre. The pool and gym are on the rooftop. You get a great view of downtown Singapore. Despite being one of the smaller buildings, its still a great view day and night. Breakfast is good too.

Stayed in the studio deluxe king room #924.... Very comfortable king bed and everything in the room seemed new. The kitchenette is a great feature if you need to prepare light meals or you are staying for longer.. Good sized fridge, microwave and electric stove. The toilet sink is sort of exposed and there are two cubicles with doors (the shower and the loo) so not as much privacy as a separate toilet would give. But I was alone so it was fine. Location too was good, lots of restaurants around. Stay were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The best pillows!! I mean it, I’m traveling a lot and in hotels a pillow is always a problem but not here. Honestly, while booking I thought it would be simple 3/5 hotel but I appeared to be higher than my expectations: 1. You can leave AC turned on while you are out of the room, it’s working without card 2. Staff is very helpful, a guy from reception helped me with delivery and some payments for the services out of the hotel 3. They have very nice stylish shower gel, shampoo etc, I love it 4. They have iron in every room, glasses for wine and different kitchen things, which is a rare thing for hotels! 5. Rooms have comfortable size, not small 6. Good location, I could reach everything I needed by walk + there is a Coworking in front of the hotel

Strategically located in thr CBD areas with lots of food stalls / restaurant surround it. Loved the kitchen tools and the premium filtered water. The room was a bit peculiar, because the wash area is open, only the toilet & shower that were behind closed door. My shower had a bad odor so it was a bit of a let down

Good location. Superb swimming pool. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Relatively good breakfast. Good views worn large windows. The room is great if it’s just one of you. If it’s more than one, it’s extremely inconvenient design as it’s just one big room. Tiny tiny shower. Claustrophobic. Strange design for shower. The service is sub standard. Poorly trained and insufficient staff.
