the room is small, the air conditioner is noisy. The location is strategic, but the most disappointing thing is that the service of the employees, especially the receptionist, she’s not friendly at all and tends to be rude. hello, we are guests here and we pay, so please be more polite to guests. A good value for money 2 star budget hotel located at Rochor area, considering hotels in spore are very expensive more than Tokyo hotels. But u need to manage ur expectation as room is small and not much frills, no fridge or safe box just tv and hot kettle. About 300 meter or 5 min walk to Rochor mrt station. Not many shop around except for 7-11 store next door as it right next to residential complex.

Hotel was okay with affordable price. You got toiletries, drink, a water heater and hair dryer. A small wardrobe and mirror. Not too spacious, very little space to move. But for travelers who only need a room to spend the night and keep their luggage. It’s good enough. Near to mrt station and has strategic location

dirty dirty dirty and dirty I had to stay for 2 nights since most hotels in SG were fully booked or insanely overpriced I checked in late at night, I don't think they even cleaned the room one bottle of water missing, the floor and drawer dirty. I asked for the room to be cleaned and when I came back they did make some effort and also not. next time I'd probably sleep in a capsule instead of hotel81

My friend and I were staying here last week for one night. The room was clean, neat, fragrant and small. It was enough for 2 people, more than that I don't think so. The bed wasn't the great one but for one night it's okay. The location is great, only 3-5 minutes to Rochor MRT Station by walking. Overall, it was a good stay.

Had a great experience! Would recommend. Pros: - Great service. The people at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. They let us check-in early, upgraded our room for free because we had so many bags, lent us a scale so we could weight our luggage, and even let us store our luggage until well after check-out, free of charge. - Room was spacious and clean overall, and the shower had great water pressure. - Nice location. Cons: - Walls were dirty. They could use a fresh coat of paint. - The two mugs that were provided clearly hadn’t been cleaned (had soup residue inside). - A bit pricey for what it is, but I guess that’s just the way it is for hotels in Singapore.

This hotel is one of the cheapest in Singapore, the place is very clean, air conditioning works well, wifi works well, the rooms are small, good value for money.

A brief overnight stop was enough. Pros: great location near the metro and little India. Cons: tiny claustrophobic room with no window or fresh air. Paint falling off the ceiling. Can barely fit our bag

I called in to enquire whether there was a room available yesterday but was answered rudely by a female reception staff that there was no rooms available at all and abruptly hang up my call. I am disappointed by the lady's rude service and she surely do not deserve to be working in the service industry.

just here to share why i give this one star review: 1: if there’s lower ratings i’d definitely give a lower one 2: the front desk lady was the most aggressive i’ve ever seen. i checked in with my friend, went up to room for 2 min, came down to the lobby. the moment when i walked out of the lift, i realized i forgot something and decided to go back up. it was at this moment the front desk lady shouted at me. no exaggeration. she shouted and asked me to not press the lift button. i asked why, no explanation given, instead, she said there’s cctv in the whole building and if i did go into the lift something’s gonna happen. did she forget that i’m the guest, despite the fact that i checked in 5 min ago and just came out from the lift? i don’t know, but shouting isn’t the way to go.

The lady at the service counter was extremely unfriendly and rude. The toilet had a sewage smell which was so bad we had to close the door. The walls were infested with ants. Overall very bad experience please go at your own risk.

FO on duty (woman, 5 July 22, 22.30-23.00) is very bad! She handle the guest with no respect at all.. She (seats on her chair all the time) ask for our passport (5 of us) to be proceeded, we hand it over to her. A few minutes later she put 5 passport in front of us, we thought it was done. Then she start asking again our passport because she havent finished the process yet, she ask with a lil bit showing her temper. We dont want to argue with her, we were too tired... Now, the room: Our room has strong smell of fresh oil paint our wall. The furniture is aging, turns into yellowish. Art painting above our headboard is disgusting (not the art) but the canvas is dirty, a lot of fingerprint on it. Matress is hard. Only got 1 bottle drinking water. To be fair... bathroom is clean, hot water available all the time, wifi, air conditioner works well, close to Little India.

I stay at Hotel 81 Selegie Road in September 2022. The one queen-size bedroom is small. It has a bathroom. It is a budget hotel. It's obviously small. But it is clean, quiet, and located near Little India. It is suitable for business purposes. I even used the backdoor around the neighborhood. It has many heritage shophouses. It is back-to-back with a Sikh temple.

I was abit sceptical to stay anyplace that had the name 81due to unsatisfactory services received from them . But once i met Robbie and Williams, it change my perception towards 81 . They are friendly, professional and well trained. I recommended all those who plan for a short cheap trip to chose this hotel. Price are very affordable.and good service. Keep it up!

It's a super-budget hotel. I get that. The room is really, really small. I know it says 10sq m or so on the website, but that includes the bathroom! It was difficult to have my suitcase open and navigate in the room at all. I was pretty much always standing in the doorway. But, the sheets were clean and soft. The bed's pretty firm, but not the hardest bed I've ever been on. Pillows were nice. Water pressure was excellent, but the hot water may run out on you. There's some sort of pump that runs 24/7 and has something to do with the water, and it was a little annoying and audible on the 8th floor, but your mileage may vary. The hotel is a short walk to the Rochor Station, and easy access to all the sights in Little India. I made it to the expo area in 20 minutes or less each morning. So I got what I paid for. I got a bottle of water each morning from the housekeeping staff, and there's a 7-11 next door.

Managed to book 3 double rooms for 5 adults in total on the morning as we were in a sister hotel already (Hotel 81 Premier Princess). 1 of the rooms was ready by 11am but the other 2 needed a couple of hours to get cleaned, which was fine, as checkout is at 11am. However, 1 of the towels in the cleaned room had a couple of stains on it, the sink pipe was leaking, the tap dropped if you only open it a small amount, and the sink plug was stuck. As we were only staying for the 1 night and going around Singapore for almost the whole day, we asked for the sink leak and spare towels/sheets etc are provided quite quickly (we opened the sink plug ourselves before we went down to the desk), but the quality difference between this and the Premier Princess is noticeable. It's fine if you literally just want to sleep there, as the room is quite cramped and even 2 people feels crowded.

The room on the website said it was two twin double beds but we arrived and it was two single beds in quite a small room. The picture they used was not from this hotel. We arrived and there were small bugs on the beds. Well they weren't really beds more like rocks and the hardest thing I've ever slept on. I will be avoiding this hotel chain in the future and would spend just that bit more money for comfort.

brilliant for 1 night staycation. Close by Downtown line and Circle line and buses easy to move around. Not the best clean you'll get but it's good for those on budget.

Not recommended at all…rooms are a lot smaller then what they advertised in different booking sites. And hotel staff didn’t allow us to check the room before paying the whole amount in advance. Hotel staffs behavior during check in was really unprofessional

Freindly courtes staff location very near marina bay sands and orchard road. Alhought it is a budget hotel the service is good. Anyway we r here to travel around singapore so why spend so much money on hotel because most of the time we r outside save the money and buy some things back as a souvenir am i right

I don't recommended this place to stay. Very bad service. The room was very dirty, smells & very different with what I booked and the picture. not worth it with the price I paid for. The receptionists are not friendly, rude and impolite. They didn't allow my friends to come in even just for short time.
