One of the better hawker centres but the price of good food is queue time. On average we queue for most dishes for 45 min. Individual rating 1) Outram park char kuey teow - 3/5 because it’s wetter than I would like. But would come back if there isn’t a queue 2) curry mee - 4/5 one of the better curry mee in terms of flavor and consistency 3) tai wah pork noodles - 2/5 nothing compared to the original on hill street. The dry version has a little too much vinegar to my liking and the soup version is just bland 4) ji ji wanton noodles 4/5 pretty decent noodles. Would come back if there isn’t a queue

One of the place to get cheap food in the central area. Just beside the iconic Chinatown Point Complex, and near the Chinatown MRT station. Two floor of local food, from noodles to rice- also have the famous Curry Chicken Noodles, and turtle soup as well. Do expect to queue up for those more popular food stalls. The queue moves fast for almost all the stores. Ample sitting spaces, will definitely need some searching time during meal times. The cleanliness maybe not up to standard. Because of the crowd. Should employ more cleaners. A good experience!

Heritage hawker centre which offers a range of local food. Coming here is experiencing a slice of history through your taste buds. Popular stalls include tanglin curry puff, char kway teow, ipoh hor fun, wanton mee, fish soup, curry chicken noodles, bak chang, yong tau foo, mee pok, kway chap, braised duck rice, teochew porridge, etc. There are also modern offerings like black sesame toast and different flavoured lattes. Gets really crowded during peak hours, and the queues for some famous stalls start snaking even before the stalls are slated to open. Seating area is already more spacious than usual, but cleanliness is still somewhat of an issue.

This stall named Noodle King, although is not really the best, but the noodle covered by the soy sauce is really good. The dumpling are soft & tender in the inside and crispy on the outside. Similarly the meat balls. Like the greens & mushrooms chunks are there, not much but taste nice too.

If you’re looking for authenticity, good food and a bustling atmosphere, this is a great place to come to sample a little from the many stalls with the food made right in front of you, including freshly pulped juice and very cheap!

This place has always been very packed with people even if I have avoided lunch time. This place is very dirty and very hard to find a seat. Everyone leaves their stuff like tissue, brochure, etc tagging the spot so once we get our food, we are hardly find seats. Need to improve their hygiene and cleanliness. Oily tables, and some tables are quite close to the garbage. I was queuing for more than 1 hour to get my food, yet the taste was not that impressive

Best char kuay teow in Singapore. Amazing flavour and wokhey 🤩 Michelin Star Wanton Mee didn’t disappoint as well. Noodles were cooked to perfection, their charsiew isn’t those charred kind but still has a good taste to it, fried & boiled wantons fillings were tender and nicely seasoned. For $5.50, I would say it’s really worth it!

In 2023, Singapore's hawker culture was listed as an intangible UNESCO cultural heritage. Amongst the many hawker centres, Hong Lim Market & Food Centre is an old & established one that is known by almost every Singaporean with Michelin Bib Gourmand award recipients. There is a huge array of food, snacks, local bakery & drinks stalls. My few favourites are Ji Ji Wontan noodle, Heng Lee curry chicken bee hoon, Tuck Kee (Ipoh) Sa Ho Fun; Outram Park Fried Kueh Teow; Dong Fang Hong Sotong Ball Seafood Soup; Tai Wah Pork Noodle; SLII Muffin; Tanglin crispy curry puff and many more. For the popular stalls, there are long queues which are very common everyday scenes.

Don't come after 3pm like we did, most of the stalls were closed and the food from the open one we found was very average. But this is a very authentic hawker centre. Only locals were there (at 3.30 when we arrived). It was very affordable though. Each dish at the stall we chose cost $5-8 a portion. And there was separation between halal plates and non-halal plates in the centre.

Definitely a place for true Singapore local foods. Full of variety to savour. Issues are a long queue for best stalls and hot temperature

We went for lunch here right after check-in to our hotel. This place was a bit crowded during lunchtime. We ordered hor fun with onsen egg, battered enoki, and pork slice. And ordered yang zhou fried rice. And for drinks, we ordered sugarcane juice. The service was good. It's a bit of a wait, but that is expected. The area is generally clean, with everyone cleaning after themselves. Exemplary practices. We met a very friendly lady who was so kind to tell us many recommended eating places while we wait for our food. Obviously, we need more time to try all the delicious food in Singapore. Til next time.

One of the best hawker centres to visit in Singapore! Highly recommended for tourists who wants to try different Singapore local dishes. The queue is very long during lunch time during the weekdays as this hawker centre is well loved by locals working around the area too. Some of the famous food to try included char kway teow, laksa and curry chicken noodles. Usually you won't go wrong trying those stalls with the longer queues 😆

A neighbourhood place full of hidden gems, such as delicious food hawkers, no queues in the dinner time hours. This hawker stall on the second floor readily prepares food upon order, stirred fried and served within, probably about just 2 or 3 minutes; and this for every customer I've seen. No overcooked or burnt all the time. The taste: crispy chicken cutlet layed over hot off the wok fried rice. 👍 And not to forget, the Lor Mee stall just next stall, thick gravy, crispy filler and rich flavoured noodles. But before 6:30pm.

This newly opened Indonesian Cuisine is located at Blk 531 which is linked to Hong Lim Market & Food Centre. Nearest MRT Station is Chinatown Station, Chinatown Point Exit. It’s linked to the Roemah Makan at Level 2 towards HongLim market side. The food is well displayed and tasted really good. Not too spicy and I really enjoyed my lunch. Service was good and friendly. At $12 per set lunch and it comes with a tasty lemon water. That’s really worth it!!! They have Rendang Chicken, Roasted Chicken, Satay Chicken, Beef Rendang etc. I will be back soon to try the rest! Next choice will be Satay Chicken 🐔 The food display is pleasing to the eyes and Yummy Yummy 😋 Highly recommended!!!

I had the Michelin star ah heng chicken curry noodles.. Great way to start the day.. Great to experience the hawker culture in Singapore and great to be eating where locals line up to eat as well... The only downside is that I can only eat one dish, and with so many options available you kind of have to choose one...

Half of the stalls are not open. But the half that are are still making huge waves in the food scene. I am proud of these hawker stalls because they are doing great things for singapore! Food here is bomb!!! When you are finished eating please put your plates away onto the carts!

Really cheap authentic Chinese hawker market. Great juices and good curry noodles, dry noodles or other soups. We had a tasty salted egg yolk chicken rice dish and a black pepper beef dish, both very cheap (6-8 dollars) and delicious for the price. Juice is also cheap here. One recommendation is that not many stalls are open in the evening. This place is more of a breakfast and lunch places so go at that time for the full experience. Please also bear in mind this is a market in a outdoor arcade and have appropriate expectations for how it looks/feels. It is not a clean sanitised indoor mall, but it is a unique authentic experience.

Varieties of food available in this food Centre, however some of the stalls closed earlier, and some open on specific day. So try your luck to get the food you want. There’s a multi-stories parking building available right next to the food Centre. It’s also convenient to walk to other food Centre nearby, and also the old Chinatown.

Great hawker with cheap and tasty food. Food court is in both ground and first floor but mainly in first floor. Highly recommend Outram park fried kway teow which is the best kway teow I have ever eaten. Super rich and unique with cockles and not oily at all. Michelin star recipient. $4.50 for small and $5.50 for large. Tai wah pork noodle is good too. So many other famous stalls including laksa and hor fun. Cheap coffee and sugar cane too. Also having some stalls for shopping around the complex. Car park available.

Food was good, but prices were a bit higher than most other food centres. Maybe bec catering to city centre office people. Also, very crowded at peak times. Still, a lot of good choices. And Chinatown Pt is just next door, for after-lunch window shopping or retail therapy. :)

Love going here. SO MANY yummy choices at affordable options. It tends to get stuffy and crowded and during peak hours you've got to reserve yourself a table or else you'll end up sharing with strangers. But yeah, nice to come back here and try other famous stalls, there are sooo many well recommended/reviews ones!

Very crowded at lunch. Had a very nice pork chop curry rice set from Hainanese Curry Rice at #02-46. The curry gravy was tasty, set comes with pork chop, egg n Veg. Would happily recommend this to anyone who needs a Hainanese pork chop fix.

Went there at noon and the food centre was already quite crowded. We patronised the HENG KEE curry chicken noodle stall on level 1. The stall started as pushcart more than 50 years ago, and my father knew the owners since then. Now the stall is managed by the son and the old lady boss who is in her 70s. There was a short queue at about 12noon. By 12.45pm there was more than 10pax in the queue. Service was quite fast. A small serving of chicken noodles costed me $8 and a serving with chicken drumstick coated $10. The gravy was not too thick and the chicken was very tender.

Delicious food, cheap prices, but you need to go early. We went early and started the day with two Michelin star breakfasts. If you turn up too late you risk them being either sold out, or the lines being extremely long. We lined up for about 20 minutes, which wasn’t too bad, around 8:30 AM. The food looks good, but it isn’t about the presentation - it’s all about the taste! Delicious food at an almost unbeatable price. Will absolutely be going back!

My favourite store will be the cantonese delight. despite its long queue, I find myself occasionally going back to order more. I would say it is 100% worth the queue. Every element of the dish is superb. From the chicken cutlet to the laksa sauce and bounciness of the noodle. It never disappoints. props to the owner as well for managing the store singlehandedly. Amazing!

Two levels of foodie haven makes this a foodie galore. More of a lunch time venue though, as majority of the stalls are sold out or closed by 4pm. Long queues for good food is a standard here. Try arrive slightly early to avoid the lunch time crowd if possible.

Place gets maddeningly crowded during weekday lunch hours, especially 12-1pm. Would highly advise to avoid that timing. There is a Chinese vegetarian stall, #02-02. I ate from there. Portions were abit small but food was very yummy and very cheap ($3.30 for rice + 3 dishes). 👍🏼

Easily one of SG's best hawker centres, multiple Michelin stores at affordable prices under one roof. Ventilation is alright, can get very crowded at lunch hours, the layout at level 2 feels like a maze and may be difficult for foreigners to navigate.

One of the best hawker centre in Singapore with numerous best in Singapore stalls. The fried cockle noodles is my favorite. The crayfish noodle is excellent as well. Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff: Super recommended. A family owned store at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre. Everything is made from scratch and the puffs are crispy and savoury. The one I had was just from a frying wok and hot and super tasty!

Piqued by its long queue and the good looking bowls of fish soup served by the stall, I decided to take the chance and give it a try. So very glad that I did! The soup is very flavorful with a pleasant lingering hint of ginger that goes surprisingly well with the bittergourd slices. Very satisfying if fish soup is your thing.

A lot of taste even though same food name or stalls. In this food court , here available to discover some old granny noodle taste. Very authentic hawker finds. Just to name a few Must try: 1. Duck rice (level 2 with yellow signage - can't miss that!) 2. Teochew porridge (level 1- near the carpark), 3. Curry chicken noodles (there are 2 stalls located directly above each other - I prefer the one at level 1 just because the gravy is thicker) 4. Seafood soup/fish soup (level 1) 5. Soy bean tarts (level 2) There's also a lot more good food -fishball noodles, outram char kway teow, wanton Noodle etc. It's really a foodie's haven!

Many excellent hawker stalls packed in one place. However, be prepared for long queues at all the popular stalls from 11.30am onwards. Crayfish horfun, "wet" char kway tiao, "vinegarised" bak chor mee, and curry chicken noodles are some of my favourites. The charcoal-grilled rojak operated by the old uncle back in 2005-2007 is no longer around. A pity.

'You'll have to try out Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee', it's really delicious, many said to me. So a friend who felt the same way about it brought me there last Jan. Some even told me, 'you can't compare an orange to an apple.' However, I think anyone who is cooking all the time, ought to strive for the best result and maintain its consistency most of the time. Anyway, I regret to say that I don't find it to be so. I still crave for the 60s' hawker food anytime!

Not just an amazing diversity of cuisines and treats, but great people watching too. Workers from the food market and nearby banks, tourist and students . Love that Singaporeans are coffee drinkers! And of course you can enjoy a feast for US$20

Chinese hawker market offers really affordable, yet authentically delicious food. We had some amazing dishes including salted egg yolk chicken rice and black pepper beef which cost us only 6-8 dollars each, and it was so worth it! Juices are also inexpensive here. It is mainly open for breakfast and lunch, so heading there during those hours will give you the full experience. It's best to avoid evening visits as not many stalls are available then. Keep in mind that this is an outdoor arcade market and therefore doesn't have the same level of renovation and tidiness as an indoor mall. Nonetheless, it offers a unique, authentic experience.

Most of the stalls operate from Monday to Saturday (3pm). It's very crowded on Saturday and many queing at the popular stalls. The price of food is higher than those in the heartland. Some of the popular stalls are Ah Heng Curry Chicken, Heng Kee Curry Chicken, and Tuck Kee Hor Fun. It's a good place for family and friends to have lunch on a weekend.

If you're craving something spicy, Heng Kee's chicken curry noodles is a reasonable bowl to fill you up. Sufficient 4 chicken pieces, 2 fishcake slices, 1 potato wedge and several beancurd puffs meshed nicely with noodles of your choice. Personally, the curry flavour is fairly good and goes best with vermicelli for less tannic taste to yellow noodles. There's extra chilly oil for those with higher tolerance of spice level. Expect queues, even after peak breakfast or lunch times. I still had to queue at 2.45pm, though it was relatively short. Presentation isn't great and hawker centre isn't the ckeanest around, so had to reduce the ratings for atmosphere.

Hong Lim has a wide variation of food. Affordable and taste awesome! I tried the Cha kuay tiao which took me 30 mins to queue, but no regrets. The Cha kuay tiao taste LEGENDARY. Within the hawker, you can find many other famous food like, curry fried chicken cutlet noodle, SL II muffins, pancakes, curry puff etc. Worth a visit! 10/10.

Reasonable barista type coffee and tea. I've tried their Spanish latte, Matcha latte (hot), traditional kopi C and all very good.
