For a singular night's stay, we had 4 different rooms because the condition of each room was awful (flooding, broken AC, disgusting hair traps). DON'T STAY HERE. For the first room, the air conditioning in the room was not functioning properly, which made for an uncomfortable experience given we were in Singapore. Additionally, there was flooding in the bathroom during a shower due to the hair trap not being cleaned, which added to the overall discomfort and inconvenience of my stay. Upon reporting these issues to the night manager, he reset the air conditioning unit and cleaned the hair trap. However, after 30 minutes, the air conditioning unit still was not working. I reached out to him, and he moved me to room 208. Unfortunately, this room also had severe flooding when I showered which had flooded into the bedroom and caused some of my luggage to become wet. This was caused by the same reason: a hair trap was not cleaned. I had to clean the hair trap with my bare hands to prevent additional flooding. It was disgusting to clean strangers’ wet hair with my bare hands during a shower. This was an unacceptable situation and caused a great deal of disgust and frustration. The night manager then moved me to room 213, but this room also had a completely non-functioning air conditioning unit, which was obvious because of the A/C display unit indicating as such. It was flashing. The room smelled bizarre, likely of whatever was emitting from the unit. This was extremely frustrating, and it seemed like the hotel was not taking my complaints seriously. Finally, I was moved to room 215, which was an adequate room, but tiny compared to our original room. We had to pack up all our belongings and move over, and over again. However, after experiencing all of the issues with the previous rooms and dragging my luggage around multiple rooms for the past few hours the night before our flight, it was not the quality of service that I had expected from a Marriott property and certainly not from a 5-star property. When checking out, we left our email at the front desk. We were informed the manager would reach out to us and we were not contacted at all, until we reached out to them directly. In which case, they basically just told us they were sorry. The point of the booking was so we could sleep for 1 evening before a flight, but we barely got any sleep from these issues. You'd think booking a 5-star property would ensure an easy, sound night's sleep. Luckily we were only here for 1 night, because if we were here for longer, it would've been awful.

Stylish hotel, heavily decorated in a very unusual way. I thought I went into a red light district club initially, and loved the place after couple days. The staffs here are very kind and helpful, foods are tasty well prepared. The whisky library is something very unique with its jazz nights during the weekend. However, the room is extremely small for a 5 stars hotel, especially if you are a couple staying there, you almost need to go outside the door to let your other half to pass 😳. We were on an updated 3rd room with access to a ´terrace´ which is basically shared with 2 other rooms that you have to keep the curtains closed to preserve privacy. Also, the sound proof is bad, you hear everything from the corridor terrace and your neighbours up/down stairs. To conclude, you can stay here for 1 or 2 nights if you are into Garcia's design, retro Frenchy (´kinky') style, and a whiskey lover.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Room's are tiny & very worn down. Understaffed with no luggage assistance. Breakfast/Executive lounge is nice but limited options. Felt like a "luxury" hostel. Recommend booking another Marriott property.

The hotel design was uniquely exceptional. They vibe was great with their red and velvet feel. They have a great whiskey bar with one of the best collections of whiskey in Singapore. The jazz band on the weekends is amazing. The staff was also exceptional with dayan spearheading the front desk team. He is very thoughtful and kind. The only slight drawback is that there is only one counter for check in/out which can make a slight delay. But hey you can wait while enjoying the variety of whiskeys available there.

Beautiful hotel/bar that exudes its own charm and character - the jazz nights are particularly delightful. However, I’ve had such a terrible experience with the (lack of) hospitality and service that I would not be back again/nor would I recommend this to anyone. Interns working at this place with zero knowledge or respect to customers; the manager clearly runs both the bar and floor poorly. Appalling attitude. You simply do not snub your customer’s request/tip! So much for being a Mariott Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

Room cleanliness is fine. The mattress stickiness is good for my personal taste. The lounge has it's unique style, which is fine! But somehow this probably be the worst ever experience I ever had as been the BONVOY member. As a hotel staff, you don't necessary have to upgrade a very high elite member(it all depends on the situation), but by stating "we thank you for your loyalty, so we upgrade your room" and provide a room key holder says "Upgraded" on it, and then provided the smallest room to customer..... It makes customer felt even worse with no upgrade at all. The room number 201, with a very tiny inner space, plus a yard which you will never use, really not so hospitality. It is very hot outside and surrounded by tall building closely looming the yard itself. See attached photos. Shall never come back ever....

This hotel is located in a quiet residential area and you would like to stay here only when you want to start a fight. Room is too tiny even for Club suite. Wifi is unstable and slow. Walls and ceiling are paper thin and you hear noises all the time. Checkin experience at front desk could not been worse(already worse than worst). Shower drainage has issues. Housekeeping service was missed but the hotel never says sorry.

Stylish and unique hotel, but i am not a fan of it. It is a 5 star hotel, but It doesn't feel like it. The room is pretty small. They renovated the bathroom and looked nice and modern. the hallway kinda spooked me out because it is too dark, but lucky my room was near the elevator, and i only stayed there for 1 night 😁

I chose to do my SHN quarantine at this hotel after returning from a business trip. I wasn't sure what to expect and the first impression of the room after arriving around 1AM was that it was.... dark. I wasn't too keen on the overall style of the interior but it did grow on me. Aside from this, however, I found everything else about the hotel to be exceptional. First off, great bed! Secondly, attention detail. Third, really friendly and thoughtful staff. Combined with a great cocktail bar that offered some lounge snacks /savory dishes that were all very well prepared, I have to say this hotel punches clearly above its weight. I think this place would be ideal for younger couples (not so much for families with young children - again, a bit too dark). It has a unique flavor and character that is different from most other hotels in Singapore, save for, I think maybe the Indigo (but they are part of a different hotel group...) One thing to note - the hotel has three storeys and my room was on the third floor with windows facing a small patio(?) or courtyard. 2nd floor tenants have access to this courtyard. And this can be problematic at night due to how sound travels from the courtyard upward to the 3rd floor. If you are a light sleeper and the 2nd floor guests come out to the courtyard to chat, then the noise level is significant enough that you won't be able to sleep. Aside from this snafu, I really enjoyed my stay here and it's an excellent, charming place worth experiencing.

Really can’t believe the negative reviews left by people below. This is a boutique hotel… that means it’s a cool, historic building- the room are a tad small - because it’s not a purpose built skyscraper. Our bedroom, furnishings and bedding are all top great. The staff here are very attentive - Ronnie on the front desk is amazing. The “Exec Lounge Menu” between 5pm and 8pm is great - check out my photo. The location is sooo cool - little India is vibrant. I will not be staying at the Westin again - it’s not a patch on this great Singapore hotel. If you are coming to Singapore on business and want to see the inside of a hotel room - go to the Westin. If you want to experience Singapore come to the Vagabond - you won’t be disappointed.

Awful experience here. Had to go to 4 different rooms in one night, due to flooding shower x2 (shower drain full of hair), broken aircon x 2. I emailed the hotel, and they basically said “sorry won’t happen again.”

Missed housekeeping, concierge desk missed my calls and messages, never replied to my emails, housekeeping woke me up. Less than satisfactory service. You are only paying for the amenities and fancy decorations. Will not be coming back here. 0/10 stay elsewhere.

First things first for a five star hotel the hospitality and customer service is non existent there should at least a bell boy or doorman to help with your luggage but instead the hotel staff just stares at you and does not offer to help. The rooms are also so small to a point where you are unable to maneuver around the room if you were to have a suitcase open, it is also dark and muggy. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel unless you are desperate.

Staying in this hotel has quite literally put a smile on my face. It's got character and aesthetics, the staff is as kind and helpful as they come, and it houses apparently one of the best whiskey bars around. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Singapore - if I can help it, and afford it.

Eclectic interior and wonderful staff. The rooms are tiny and if you stay on 3rd floor be prepared for guests on the 2nd floor talking though the night in their exclusive courtyard. Stayed here for the whiskey tasting “experience.” My uncle Danny O’Doyle’s nightly whiskey tasting experience was more memorable.

This place has character, I will give them that and the whiskey bar downstairs is cool. If you are a true connoisseur, they have all of your options. The rooms are tiny, perfect for one not even remotely big enough for two. Used points to stay and not really what we expected. I have status at Marriott and they upgraded my room but did not extend the amenities that came with room upgrade. Which felt cheap like a 90’s airline or pre-COVID airline strategy. Include the perks or don’t offer the upgrade. I travel a lot for work, so just thought it odd.

I would give The Vagabond Club 5 stars but for two things. The location is just a bit too far out of the way. And the last night we were there, the hotel had a private event, on a Wednesday, and the dance music was blasting in our room until midnight. After that it was still too loud to sleep even with earplugs until I complained for the third time at 1 am. Then at least I could sleep with earplugs. The hotel did nothing to make this right. Very disappointing. Otherwise the hotel is so beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the staff wonderful. But given they did nothing about the noise problem nor discounted the room for that night, it's made it unlikely we'd go back.

Very stylish hotel in a great location. Fabulous art dotted around the place and the Suite 401 was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the Club Lounge and in particular the great service from Praba as others have said. The canapés were small but very tasty and we ordered extra food a couple of nights and enjoyed it a lot. The staff are friendly and helpful. If I was going to splurge again I’d consider staying again for a special occasion ( we were on a mini honeymoon )

I was moved to The Vagabond Club from The Marriott Tang Plaza as it was becoming a Covid hotel. I was disappointed at first from coming from Orchard to Little India, but boy was I wrong. Everyone there quickly became like family and I looked forward to finishing work to get back to catch up with everyone. What a little gem. Considering Singapore is mostly high rise commercial hotels, this little place is an oasis in a big city! Rooms are small, but quaint with everything you need. Who cares about the room when you can hangout downstairs with the crew in the lounge or Whiskey Bar. Food was personal and excellent. Drinks flowed freely. There is an Anytime Fitness you can use for free across the road and so much better than a typical hotel gym with a couple of treadmills. Step out the front door and there is no big foyer to great you, you are right there in Little India! Shops, restaurants, convenience stores galore. The hawker market out back is fantastic if you want that local Singapore flair and cheap! You can get a room that leads to a private courtyard or suite. Some rooms are bigger, some more convenient. Grab a top floor room if you don’t want to hear the ignorant drag their chair across your roof. Regardless which room you have I’m sure the guys and girls will have you feeling like home in no time...

At little India area. Nice vibe here, room was a bit old but have that special vibe that I really like. Service was great ( but no room service here) I stayed at the top 4th floor that has no elevator to reach it. You have to take elevators to 3rd then walked up. The whiskey library was a must visit here!

Beautiful and artsy yet comfortable interior with an eclectic theme. Every piece of decoration is clearly thought about. The staff were very helpful, accommodating and welcoming throughout. Shoutout to Vanessa who checked me in and answered all my questions with great detail. The room was superbly clean, great powered AC, with a lot of character, and great value for money. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel that isn’t boring and just stands out in so many ways. Oh and don’t miss the whiskey and jazz bar!

The room quite unique, staffs are very friendly and helpful. However the picture in the lift is creepy, make us feel uncomfortable. We are book forth floor room, but we must take lift to third floor and walk to 4,the stairs have green light through the windows which very weird too. The room hygiene not very good, we can feel dusty especially coffee capsule machine. A bit disappointed with this, how nice will be if we can use it to have a cup of coffee in the morning. But some kindly parts they do very well, the music around and eyeshades very thoughtful. The roof windows was my favourite, can see some stars during night time. Overall I give 3stars.

All in all a fantastic and boutique hotel, in a great location and with a very nice restaurant serving vegetarian Indian cuisine in the evening and an all-play breakfast. One improvement area, the water power in the shower is way too low..

Close to false advertising. Avoid this hotel if you can. The room (apparently a deluxe room) was pathetically small, it's advertised as a 5 star property but more like 3.5 Stars. Aircon didn't work properly, water doesn't get hotter than below luke warm - it's cold when taking a shower. There is a shared balcony (how is this a feature? youth hostels have this) that was not serviced with an ashtray overfilling, the lamps besides the bed were falling out of the plasterboard wall, shower was not cleaned properly. If i had been charged $120-150 a night I probably wouldn't be motivated writing this, in fact I would expect such a property. However, I was charged almost $400 a night for this which was nothing short of a complete rip off. I expect management to get in touch with me.

Love this boutique 5 star hotel. Great service staff and food quality is great too! Chelm at the counter has super great service mindset!

I go there on the weekends for the great jazz band within what is a really comprehensive whiskey selection. while the whole band sounds really beautiful together, it's the guitarist who is a standout because he looks so handsome under those dim lights.

Well decorated hotel in an old structure. The room is not huge but quite well designed. Too bad, the TV didn't work during my stay even with its engineer on duty. Breakfast is unexpectedly well quality served from the menu. The lady there has a great service mind. If you're a whisky fan, this place should be your heaven.

I was not impressed. Small rooms, noisy and under the bed was what looked like 5 years of dust, plus someone's shoe. Read the fine print and splurge for the whiskey club. That looked very interesting. I wouldn't opt for the meals as there are hundreds of restaurants in the area. Beautiful hotel, just not a good value.

I've stayed here a few times now on stopovers. What a warm welcome every time! Chelm in the lounge is a superstar and on a recent visit made me feel right at home after a long trip. Very personable and willing to go the extra mile. Thank you!

Excellent service with family like friendly warm treatment from reception to restaurant. It is privately owned boutique hotel and it has local Singaporean staffs to aussie waitress to indian bartender. Absolutely exotic interior design and uniquely located between chinatown and little india and city square shopping center mall is 500 meters away. You will love this place once you experience its charm. It is managsd by Marriott bonvoy AND you won't regret.

Reserved my room day before arrival due to my flight schedule. That way, no hanging around waiting for check-in! The hotel is located in the area known as little India, and by the customer care I received, you would have thought it was in some obscure place in India. I arrived at 10.40 am. ( remembering I.d paid for the previous day) I got charged 600sd as a holding charge for starters, after the lack of service at check-in, and seeing the room, I checked out at 1130am however, they still charged me for that day? 😳 one hour I was there! When questioned about refunded to my credit card, it was liked I'd ask for the amount back in cash! Ridiculous TBH. Breakfast I was informed is only continental, so no hot food! Yeah, good luck with that!

Wow! I mean, wow. With over a 1,000 whiskeys a lot could go wrong before I took away a star. From the second you walk in and are greeted by the eccentric and playful decor, you just have this sense of walking into a speak easy or high class lounge. The food was absolutely amazing and the drink options, again, 1,000 whiskeys, wow. Yes, the rooms are small, it is a boutique hotel, but I would stay here again and again. The location to Little India and the Muslim Quarter is perfect maybe a 15 minute to each. The hotel has an agreement with the Anytime Fitness right across the street which was a great enhancement. And the staff was superb! Highly highly recommend!
