The younger doctors might want to work on their empathy/emotional quotient. Went for a sleep apnea consultation a while back and both young doctors attending to me were looking at the screens, rattling about the prices of different types of sleep studies etc before even trying to understand my issues. They looked distracted during the short 5 mins I was seated trying to get them to understand my situation, zero eye contact whatsoever. I left and never went back. I really hope this is not the experience other people are getting because it's very disappointing and entirely dispiriting.

Extremely horrible treatment and patient care. Avoid the Breast surgery department at all cost. A relative of mine was treated by the doctor Julie Liana Hamzah for breast surgery and she operated wrongly. There was no compensation and absolutely no investigation for the surgery error. No remorse shown by the doctor. I am demanding a full investigation by singapore medical council.

As a 21 years old patient, Doc WILL NOT take you seriously. My surgery was delayed for 2 years. not just that, after surgery i HAD Postoperative Urinary Retention but the nurse and doc don't believe me. they only believe when my belly is very extended which was caused because i cant urine for almost 24 hours which caused me a lot of pain. Which then they catheterize me. They drained about 2Ls of urine.

One of the best state hospital with almost all amenities and professional staff. Only thing lacking is there's no smoking area. Nearest smoking point is literally outside the hospital. Would really appreciate if they allow some smoking area to let smokers alleviate their urge during their long wait for their X-Rays & Clinics queue turn

After waiting hours for discharge papers ( at least resting in the ward) the patient needs to proceed to another block n level to collect medication which is another hour's wait at least. This system has no consideration for patients who are still recovering and gathering all these people in a cramp room to collect medication is definitely not a first world country or system. There is a online order system that would be delivered in a week's time. In another's word, majority patients who are discharging needs to squeeze through this place before they can go home to rest. Point 2. You can't send anyone flowers directly to the ward anymore. Unless the patient is well enough to collect from sender at the lift lobby. Patients with with no mobility cannot receive anything n they are the ones who need delivery most.

My father has admitted to this hospital. He has blood cancer. The behaviour of doctors is really good. They listen from patients with patience. But the behaviour of nurses should be more improved. The most important thing is the treatment cost is a little bit cheaper than any other hospital in Singapore.

Hospital is a place to save people's life, so it's probably the most solemn and sacred place among others. Singapore General hospital is ranked as one of the top general hospitals in the whole world. yeah not only in asia but in the whole world. there are a large team of well-trained professional doctors and nurses and other staff, providing first-rate medical services i only came here for A&E and found their staff super helpful and patient and professional, very soothing and reassuring for patients. they usually give detailed and helpful instructions for you for your medical consultation or treatment. to be honest no one wants to come to a hospital, but its also true that sometimes we have to. the only thing is we should respect this place and every individual working here.

Dr Manju Chandran is the most terrible doctor that I ever met. She is impatient,  when I was trying to explain my situation but she keep interrupting.  Furthermore,  she made me repeat my sentence . The worst thing is , the report had show it to her but she still doesn't believe and said there's nothing.  If nothing,  what for I came down to see you ! She is not a good listener ! I will not give any star if can .

I am one of the patient visitors, the staff at the registration site that there were two visitors upstairs but our patient said only one visitor with him so they tried to call the ward nurse but they didn't pick up. So we didn't get to meet our patient. It was too irritating and dis appointed. It was my first visit to SGH. I wanted them to work properly. Actually it is just upstairs so they can go and check or do something. If it's the system error, then we can personally check the patient room and comfirm.

Visiting hours of 1200-1400 and 1700-2030 are not adhered to. You can have male visitors who stay the entire day in the female room in ward 78 till past 2100 with no announcement or security to do anything to ensure the other patients can rest well. They may want to learn from NUH which handles this aspect very well.

My husband has a neurologist test on 5th January and found out that there is no doctor appointment after that. Came over to L clinic and staff found out that there is no appointment given. I remember at last visit in December, the counter staff say will sms next visit date to us. This is not the first time that after saying will sms appointment date but no sms date from them - in other clinics too.Can the authority please do look into the system again as it is causing inconvenience to the elderly.

I'm so disappointed to see a doctor here! 10 days waiting for an appointment! I waited two weeks for the result! Well, if it turns out to be something else! Talk about feeling need not check! If you want to check! Make an appointment and wait! I spent so much money! That's the attitude! Delay my illness! speechless

Extremely poor hospital -- was a traumatic brain injury patient recently. Administrative staff are all untrained, unskilled and highly inefficient. Situation is the same regardless of department or unit on the SGH Campus. They do not have the correct information, are unable to respond to patient queries and make decisions that risk the safety and health of the patient. The hospital has no intention to make improvements nor provide feedback on reformative actions. For the sake of your loved ones, do not go here unless you have no choice.

I want to commend the Indian doctor (unfortunately I didn't manage to catch her name) who spoke Mandarin to my late Dad while she was checking on him. Shame that a few of the Singaporean Chinese doctors could not even converse in Mandarin.

Did CT scan and was told that results will take one week. As there was no news a week later, called SGH hotline and was told that if there is no follow up from doctor, it should be fine and just need to wait for the doctor to get back. However, only till 3 weeks later (after checking with them again), was then informed of a huge growth. Turned out to be stage IV cancer. precious time is wasted; cancer treatment is delayed. Would like to urge everyone going to public hospitals to be proactive and keep following up on your results because things will fall through the cracks there.

I am from India and came for my momtreatment. I had to undergo chemotherapy along with a surgical drain. I had fear regarding my current physical condition and my personal life especially my work. During my treatment, Pavithra psycho oncologist met me and supported me mentally during my chemo cycle. I shared my queries with trust with her. Every cycle she meets me and helped me to manage my worry and overcome my problems. She has done a wonderful job.

I was driving my Mobility Scooter (PMA) to visit my friend who was in ICU, but when i was in the ICU ward talking to my friend who was in ICU there was 2 guards asking me to leave the hospital because my Mobility Scooter (PMA) is a hazard and a fire risk. So i just leave the hospital after that. THIS SGH HOSPITAL IS NOT WHEELCHAIR OR PMA FRIENDLY!

Patient have to come down to meet up with the visitor just because the visitor has a child who is under 12yrs old with her. Even it is due to safety purposes, they should exercise some discretion managing such situation especially when there is nobody to look after that particular child. When ask for alternative solution they were unable to provide 1. This is totally unacceptable!

Unpleasant service at Block 4 and the ART center Block 4: You must do ART before visitor registration. ART: You must register before doing ART So I ended up working as a messenger between the two places trying to figure out which Im supposed to do first. Quite unprofessional. So end up I finished registration and went to the ART place. The whole place was fenced up and a big "Closed" sign at the front. It was 535pm they stop registration at 530pm. I went in anyway to get my swab done. But behind me they turned away a lady who was there to get something done as well. I guess its a wasted trip for her! Commented to the staff to help her as she may be wanting to visit family today. So anyway got the swab done and waiting for results. Pretty much I was the last one left. Got the results around 555pm and left. On my way out, heard the swabber say loudly: "Finally I can go home and see my family loh". Wow, your working hours are until 6pm and you ended on time. Great for you. Good job. And now I get to visit my family in the wards too. Absolutely sickening experience. They had nice floor tiles in the holding area, hence picture 2.

Generally, i have no complaints on all the hospitals in Singapore but when it came to collect the medication at the pharmacy, it really boils me. Patients have to Q to register. Imagined, the elderly, sick person need to Q and stand all the way. Something need to be done on the pharmacy system.

They can do better than what I have experienced. There is a need to be empathetic at certain situations. This experience this visit is certainly not what I expected to be given how we always choose SGH for my family member’s needs.

on the april 13 around 12am i was at the A&E consultation area. There were many patients trying to seek for medical attention and the waiting time was around 100 minutes. But as time went by , the waiting time kept on increasing till like 373 minutes even though the amount of patients had significantly decreased. Ex. From 30+ patients to 6. but it took forever just for us 6 to get to our turn. i waited for approximately 6hrs before my consultation. Nurses and Doctors says that they give priority to those who are more ill which is understandable but to a point where people were vomiting for a few hours and nobody attended to them. Go see the footage at 2am+. The doctor and nurses kept attending to the same people which is so unfair for the rest of us who are deemed ‘less sick’. so many people walked off because of the terrible service. but that’s not the important point. all the nurses LACKED EMPATHY. i was at the consultation seating area waiting for my turn when i saw this old man that came alone and he’s on the wheelchair, barefooted can’t walk well at all. he kept trying to get the nurses attention for help to go use the restroom , using hand gestures but to no avail EVEN THOUGH some nurses made eye contact with him. my mother, a nurse herself too saw that and went up to help him out. you can also check the footage around 330am. And she went to take a blanket for him cause he was so cold. the nurses at the side stared and judge my mother. i was so disappointed at them. because shame on your nurses for not even showing empathy. and it’s not just this time, early on had another old man alone in wheelchair didnt know what to do after consultation he sat there alone blankly until a kind woman stepped up and ask a nurse to help him out. This environment whereby you nurses, doctors etc don’t even respect us and even have a heart to do your job, shame on you. I felt disgusted and appalled by your staff’s behaviour. I’m a young adult myself and it’s okay i know it’s fine we can take care of ourselves but these elderly that comes in alone, show more care. cut them some slack. it’s heartbreaking to see them trying to push the wheelchair themselves while nurses just walk away. not asking if they need water or toilet once in awhile. instead is us patients doing it for you. if we can empathise with them, why have the staff failed to do so? it should SPEAK VOLUMES to you that if patients can notice as such, why can’t the staff. i’m deeply disappointed with how the hospital manages patient. even my mom herself too, she suggested that the hospital can at least give those a drip first put them under some medication and not just wait in pain until a consultation. because that’s what her hospital does. As the best hospital in Singapore, i felt so disappointed. i don’t think this deserved to have that title. you can do so much more than this utter ignorance.

We brought my mom to A&E and we waited for 6 long hours because the nurses kept telling us that she’d be warded and left us waiting at the waiting area for hours. We were only told that there was no bed available after we kept following up hour by hour. My mom was kept at ASC in the A&E department till the second night and no treatment/scans were done because there was no bed available. Nobody could provide us with any updates on her condition which was really ridiculous. When she finally got warded, we were informed that scans would be done the next day because there were too many patients. By now, she’s already running a fever and unable to walk but we still have no idea what exactly is wrong. What’s really appalling is that the nurses do not seem to show any empathy when we informed them of my mom’s condition. This is really disappointing for what we thought is the best hospital in Singapore.

The visitor system is awful. While I understand the limit of 2 visiting persons at a time, the system is unable to monitor and manage the prices effectively. The wait list process is atrocious. I was told that I will NOT be able to go in even when a slot is available as long as the name in front of me has not gone in, even when he has left. The sequence does not make sense

SGH has prominently displayed posters advocating for the respect of healthcare workers, a sentiment with which I wholeheartedly agree, irrespective of these visual reminders. However, it is only fair to expect reciprocal consideration. We kindly request that you value our time, given that appointments are scheduled not merely days in advance but months ahead. We anticipate a seamless scheduling system, yet consistently, on every occasion, we endure waiting times exceeding 1 hour without any communication regarding the delay! This is ridiculous. Additionally, there seems to be a lack of compassionate engagement from the doctors, creating an impression of a profit-centric approach rather than a patient-centric one. As patients, we enter with concerns and seek timely updates, fostering an environment of trust. Effective communication and mutual respect are essential in this relationship. Regrettably, the SGH feedback website appears to be non-functional, hindering our ability to provide constructive input. This raises questions about the alignment of service delivery with the standards expected of a first-class medical center.

After done with my MRI, I didn’t get any dates for review to come back and see the doctor until i called up myself to book for the appointment. I also have to request for a handyplast after injection when my blood trickling and no one seems to bother. Unlike TTSH who is more systematic and will give you the next appointment date on the spot before making payments or if not they will send it through sms few days later. I am a TTSH patient all the while but was being referred to SGH for radio surgery and i can say that if i have a choice to do my treatment over at TTSH I certainly will as it is more systematic, patient care at heart, convenient, easy to reach for queries and environment friendly. C’mon SGH, you can do better than this!

Had very bad experience at SGH National Neuroscience Institute Clinic L on 16 Oct 2020 served by counter staff Hidaya. She doesn't even process customer service attitude to render assistance to patient during registration. I inform her my husband still doing test at basement clinic on the way up, I helped him register for his 1010am appointment if not missed queue need wait very long. I told her that i has digital nric of my husband as he left his nric inside his car parked at hdb open carpark and she flatly rejected to register for my husband. Why doesn't she even assist to render assistance rather than reject flatly. Myself also clinic assistant at GP clinic who know that counter staff is to render assistance to patient who visited. I visited other specialist clinics at SGH but worse experience is this clinic.

Aik keong is a super helpful and polite staff. Called over the phone to request for earlier appt because I was worried about my wife, and even though the doctor did not have any available time slots, she took the trouble to contact the doctor directly to see if he could squeeze my wife in for an earlier slot. In the end we did manage to get an earlier appt. exemplary service! I was very touched and really appreciated her help

The nurses at Blk 4 high dependency ward has very bad attitude. Patients press the bell because they are uncomfortable or require emergency attention, but the nurses got very annnoyed by that. They told my father he was very disturbing. If you get irritated easily, you are not qualify to be a nurse, moreover you are taking care of vulnerable patients in the high dependency ward.

Listen up you punk. I usually don't leave bad reviews but you guys really crossed the line. I went to SGH for an appointment on 24 June. After that appointment, the doctor informed CMPD that I'll be having a follow up appointment. Here comes the amazing part, I received nothing regarding the follow up appointment. I had ZEROOOO clue about it! No dates, no letters, no medical reports. I'm completely bamboozled because the last time i checked, Singapore had a healthcare ranking of 6th in 2020. This is really ridiculous!!! I had to go all the way to CMPD to update them regarding my follow up appointment which I knew nothing about. So my day is wasted thanks to the ridiculously long traveling time. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience caused 😊👍👍👍.

Came for medical appointment. Took 1 hour to drive there, walk another 15 mins from carpark to hospital. Waited another half an hour. Finally saw a doctor. Attended to me for less than 5 mins and left the room. Forgot to ask some questions about my condition, knock on doctor's room and got scolded. 2 questions, less than 30 seconds can make a doctor scold a patient. Maybe im unlucky or God pls bless our healthcare system so sick people who are already in pain, wun suffer more.

Prepare to wait 1+hrs post your appointment time. You can’t come late either as they only assign a q number when you arrive. Doctors prescribed duplicated and unnecessary blood tests for me as well, padding up the medical bill (could have simply asked if I have such conditions). Thought the public hospitals would be more fair and efficient, but alas…

They should consider tear down this hospital and rebuild as it does not have sufficient carpark . Without an ambulance, it is almost impossible for a sick person to drive and go to the hospital as there are insufficient carparks and the available carpark lots are on hills and mountains.

Feedback on Centre for Digestive and Liver Diseases: Made an appointment for review but had to wait for 15minutes for registration while the counter staffs were gossiping with no patient in queue. Moreover waited for almost another hour for the chubby pancake face bespectacled female intern or MO for less than 10 minutes review and paying for a senior consultant fees ( until now have not seen that senior consultant). What’s the use of making appointment when the system is so screw-up? Ironically, SGH is ranked as 1 of the top hospitals! Either the ranking methodology is questionable or that is the ranking for SGH 10 or 20 years ago! Good days are hard to come by!!!

✨Private route to a public route ✨ Best. Decision . Ever. I was supposed to deliver at TMC with a private doctor but at 36 weeks I decided to go SGH and eventually deliver there . I didn’t had any gynae and it didn’t matter because the whole care team at SGH was amazing. Right from when we checked into the labour ward to the outstanding after labour care . They are the ONLY hospital in Singapore who will provide care for your pelvic floor muscle . Your after birth check up will have a physiotherapist to check and care for you. This is an extra care that only Singapore General Hospital provide , no need to go out and seek a private physiotherapist. Few days after birth the midwife will also call you to check on your health and baby’s health. The lactation consultant is readily available on the phone too . I don’t see any reason why anyone would pay so much more to see private when our public healthcare is top notch

Amongst all the public hospitals I have experienced, I find SGH doctors more professional than the rest. What I like about SGH doctors in my opinion was their professionalism, their junior doctor is apt enough to be a consultant for other hospitals based on knowledge, interpersonal skills, and respects towards the patient's family decision and medical knowledge. My mum's case was handled by Aliza Wong. Dr Wong first made a formal introduction that she is my mum's doctor when she was transferred from ICU to Geriatric Ward 45. On a daily basis Dr Wong would give me an update of my mum's condition as well as taking lab tests of her bloodworks promptly. My mum's sodium level dropped below the range and she also had to receive CRRT dialysis, the doctors wasted no time and quickly admitted her to ICU to stabilize and maintain equilibrium to her conditions. The ICU nurses were extremely attentive towards her needs. During discharge, because it was my mum's most important birthday, our family needed to ensure she didn't spend this important day at the hospital, all the doctors and nurses did their best to accommodate this very special request, we managed to leave the hospital at 830pm with their well wishes for my mum's birthday. Dr Aliza Wong advise every intricate details of caregiving such as the LPM flow rate of our oxygen concentrator, the SPO2 level to monitor, what to do the next few days etc. Dr Aliza Wong & SGH healthcare professionals felt the immense passion and dedication of their chosen path as they tended to her needs. For every doctor and nurse who handles and cares for my mum's case, may their lives be blessed abundantly with happiness and encouragement, filling their hearts with joy as they undertake their noble profession.

BAD experience with counter staff at the SGH Pharmacy block 4. At the pharmacy, all the counter staff are always helpful and polite when they counsel the patients on the proper use of your medication, including any possible side effects and precautions to observe. Unfortunately today we had encountered one counter staff, Denise, that is curt and very arrogant. I hope SGH will train the counter staff to be more polite to all the patients and visitors. Overall I am still glad that most of the doctors and staff in SGH are friendly. That is why I will still give a 4 stars rating to show my appreciation to those who are nice and hope that those who are arrogant and rude will be trained properly.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with the delivery of medication by the pharmacy department/deliverymen. I have arranged with the pharmacy staff on 4 occasions/appointments for the delivery and till to-date I still did not receive the medication. The deliverymen totally NO SHOW (no sound no picture no call). Giving them the benefit of doubt, I waited for another 2 hours after the appointment timeslot but still NO SHOW.

Had a slipped disc in 2007...was treated with Nucleoplasty by Prof Tan Seang Beng (totally giving 5-stars to him and his team, esp Dr Benjamin Tow). I was a private patient then and paying full fees without insurance. In 2014, I was admitted to A&E at SGH for spine problems again. Couldn't walk and was put in B2 ward for a night, given a morphine jab, had an X-ray done and discharged the next day in a wheelchair. Took a few weeks before the muscles relaxed and could walk again. And only 2 months later did I get to see Dr Tan about my condition. Since then, Dr Tan and Dr Tow have moved on into private practice. The current spine clinic in SGH is no longer the force it once was.

I am very upset and disappointed with the service that I experienced in the A/E . When I arrived at the A/E, the staff didnt offer a wheelchair for me . I complained of my toe nail broke and painful, this doctor so incompetent gave me 2 arcoxia tablets for 2 days and some panadol for pain relieve. The doctor didnt help me clean my wound at all. I do not have my discharge summary also . What kind of A/e Service is this?

The oldest and largest hospital in this city-state, Singapore General Hospital, a teaching hospital, was founded 1821. Now, it employs more than 10,000 people and sees more than 1 million patients every year. It is home to Southeast Asia's only full multidisciplinary center for cancer and is an acute tertiary referral hospital with over 40 clinical disciplines. In 2010, it was the first hospital in Asia to receive the Magnet designation for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Sgh.com.sg

The good doctors have apparently left for better opportunities. Left over doctors are barely living day by day basis and had no responsibility in treating & follow-up plan with the patient. Had a bad experience with a consultant/doctor Dr Chok from the colorectal dept. First few treatment & consultation was good and caring but periodically turns over to worst at the end. Don't expect a professional follow-up by him let to say treatment which left patient with a permanent long term medical condition to cope with. Regretted not seeking a senior consultant at the point of time that is more competent in addressing to my condition.

Commendation for all doctors that visited and attended to me, all nurses and staffs that assisted me at Ward 43A. My fellow roommates and I were attentively attended to by various nurses and staffs during my stay between 05 June and 10 June based on my observation. All of them were very helpful and provided a sense of human touch while maintaining their professionalism. 👍🏻 My heartfelt gratitude to all doctors and their juniors whom had presented themselves with a sense of unconditional positive regard and showed genuine concern. 🙏🏻 (Lady doctor with shoulder length hair, Dr. Thomson Lim, Dr. Celine Xiong and others that I did not manage to note their names down.) Special thanks to Nurse Winnie, Nurse Mariam, Nurse Tay, Nurse Chong Joe Ey, Nurse Nisha, Nurse Daarshini and all other nurses — for making sure that everyone else is taken care of at room 24. Special mention of Housekeeper Lang QiaoLin, she is very respectful and meticulous in the upkeep of hygiene. ❤️ Thank you very much for the positive experience with SGH, do keep up with the passion of serving the community no matter what your title is — may your efforts be recognized and appreciated by the management. 😊 I am finally pending a discharge today! 🥹

This is the worst A&E triage I’ve ever experienced. They clearly just classify your emergency to the subjective level of pain you say you have. I was not even asked when the symptoms have started! So poor service and attention! And it was not even that they were busy…. there was no one at A&E when I arrived but yet 8 staff chatting.

Stupid visiting system! Pls fix this rigid system where you don’t allow just to drop off personal items of patients outside of visiting hours. Pls consider that family and friends are busy and don’t always can drop by during stipulated visiting hours. My friend the patient had heart surgery and recovery, he had to come down to collect his personal items from me at 330pm blk 5 because they don’t allow me to go up till 5pm. And also no staff to bring it up to him. This is ridiculous!

There are some black sheep amongst the staff but overall, the majority of them were good people and they treated me well the whole time I was there. I guess it's normal to have black sheep amongst the staff anywhere we go these days, so will not criticize them for that. One of the oldest institutions of care providers in Singapore and a really well established one. They can be generally trusted with medical treatments and the doctors are knowledgeable. Do use your wisdom before agreeing to anything.

Singapore General Hospital sets the bar high for innovation and patient care. Came to this hospital with my mum due to her liver issue. The outpatient clinic is a horror n a time waster for each appointments. Even with months ahead of scheduled appointments, the timing given seems pointless. All patients mostly elderly need to wait for at least a min of 2hrs or more before they can see the doctors. Very bad time management. Though some doctors are nice, there are still some doctors who hav a unsympathetic n nonchalant attitude to patients. I ever met one doctor who ask me to go Google online when I ask him about a certain term description which I don't understand. He don't bother explaining anything. From the checks up procedure, appointments, documents required for testing... whatsoever were not explained clearly. We were expected to know everything. Perhaps they don't bother much for government subsidies patients as compared to those who pay the full amount.

I have wonderful experience with SGH since 2022. Myself and my parents, all were treated with respect and expertise. From the moment I call them for appointment until the day of the visit, all are smooth and easy to do. The hospitals are clean, inside and out. Getting there is easy, they got their own shuttle from Outram Station. The medical cost may seems high at first but the results outweight the cost easily. Since it is a public one, it always busy. No wonder Singaporeans are respected and they all proud of their achievements. Thank you for saving my family. This hospital easily top 10 in the world and thank god I don't have to fly to Mayo to get similar treatment. This all based on my personal experience coming from nearby island where hospitals/doctors generally are less trusworthy. Also, our visit are limited to the skin, orthopedic, and eye department.

Doctors and nurses are professional and helpful. Only one of my concern is that nowadays some staff don't take hygiene seriously, they can reuse the surgical spirit gauge or even it dropped onto the floor, they can just use it on the patient again. They want convenience, lazy to open a new one. Happens to be the younger staff.

While overnighting in Singapore on our way to the UK I was unfortunate to have a medical emergency that necessitated me being taken to this hospital by ambulance. From the time I was picked up by the ambulance until I was discharged from the emergency department the care could not be faulted. The staff were friendly but professional - all spoke excellent English, - the surroundings were clean and the various tests performed were explained clearly - I knew at all times what they were giving me, what they were doing and what they were looking for. I spent three & a half hours there, and when I left I was given a full, seven page report, to pass on to my GP when I got home, or any other medical person should I need to. Their excellent care meant that I was able to confidently get on our flight that same night. Thank you to everyone involved.

Is your Nuclear Medicine severely understaffed? No one bothers to pick up calls. This elusive clinic changes their appointments at whim without asking - only received the official date via post and I was not able to make it at their dictated date. Very unprofessional for a public hospital. If things were to go wrong, no one can get to them probably except through their doors. Don't bother calling or emailing the general hotline. Bad experience.

My sis a cancer patient warded at ward 75 rm 24 for a week . The nurses n head nurses were totaly not qualified as a professional. My sis has to wait long for a nirse to attend to her after pressing the buzz for help. They nirses will laugh n chit chat loudly like nobody bussiness. My sis checked in due to high fever. A week ago she was do upser with poor services from the nurse n head nurse. Is a disgrace to have nirses that dont serve with their heart. There is a case where the old lady opposit bed poo on the bed due to no one attend to her after press the help button.sje has to scream for help. Hope the Director of the nurses can look into this. I was wondering why the nursing Director was not aware of poor services and care from the nurses. My sis was warded at ward 48 before . They were fantastic. Really impresses with them. And the emergency team were supered. The Radio therapy team wer awsome. But why is the nurses from ward 75 are so not qualified. They should be disxiplined and retrained. My sis got a new pants to change from them n that has blood stain on it. This is a hospital why this is happening. Spoken to the head sister in charge today. She feels that i am complaining rubbish. She is not able ro handle the situation well. Cause she has doubts in my complain. Hope our conveesation is recorded for training pirposes. Is around 16.38mins . Please check if you are the authorities in charge. And thw authorities may also speak to the patients around that rime to see if they feels the same. I wamt to stress that a girl from ITE she has the nursing quality can see she has the service with a heart during the taking of blood pressure. All i want to say tgat my sis n i n all those patients do not have a peace of mind during their stay. Sad...please improve or please quit if you have no passion for this job.

My thumb was swollen and infected. Drs Shuda and Jonathan, from the A & E, worked on it. They discovered a tiny piece of pencil lead that had gotten wedged in my thumb. I'd forgotten about it (a few weeks ago, I'd accidentally jabbed it with a mechanical pencil). The lead didn't show up on the X-rays, but they found it. They put me at ease during the whole procedure. I was there for hours, though, and would have appreciated some actual food store instead of a sandwich vending machine. Typical long wait at the A & E.

Around 0845, as I was walking from Bowyer Block to the Pharmacy at Ward 4, a handsome Indian guy wearing hospital uniform, blue shirt and blue pants as those worn by doctors, was walking without mask while eating. The doctors and nurses there are professional in their duties. But the only problems lies with the security guard. When I was about to leave the hospital cimpound after the nurse/doctor had given me the green light to do so. There was one female security guard prevent me from leaving, stating that the nurses/doctors did not informed her. If i not been feeling unwell, i would had scolded her. Who did she think she was? She is just a security guard, so just stay at the door and keep quiet and stop barking.

Hi there Am posting this review due to the incompetency and lack of communication between SGH departments. I had contacted SGH since early Aug regarding the ambitious referral letter to pain management clinic and had provided all necessary documents to medical report department to further assist and request for a revised referral letter via electronic copy, so that with the revise referral letter, my medical expenses with pain management department can then be reimbursed by insurance company. However, I've spoken to few SGH staffs from various departments and emails are attended by different staffs as well. Till date, there is no update at all via emails or calls, instead, I just received a letter to make additional payment of $110 to SGH for tracking and recording purposes? Are you implying that SGH does not keep any records in their system for retrieval or they lost the initial referral letter records and transferring the blame to patient and cost to patient instead? I am demanding SGH to get back to me by 1st Sep via call after doing a checking and call retrievals that I had with SGH, especially the medical report department which I spoken to Ms Lim.

Very bad experience many years ago. Waited for more than half a day at A&E before admission. Did multiple diagnostic tests but needed to buy the reports. Fees are on top of hospital fees! Only the ward nurse was the saving grace. Still remember her caring and friendly attitude till today.

If you see this patient name Mdm Josephine Chew Keng, please take note that she impersonates as army officer and ask the soldiers like me and my friend to bring down the nominal roll and book in/out book down to the fall in area, bring down the IDO checklist, no off day, do duty storeman command, return keys and did not gave me and my friend a counselling session. She’s from Nee Soon camp and current from IMH. She born in 1960 and she have a prior record of impersonating as QM and RQMS to sign extras like scammer. From, Huang Guan Ming and Tan Yong Heng

I will never eat at the Japanese food stall again. There wasn't any queue but still i have to wait for 15mins to take my order. The dish doesn't look like the display set. Poor service. I am very disappointed.

Spoke to a very friendly and helpful lady on the phone from the Medical Reports hotline department earlier, didn’t manage to catch her name but she helped me look up my date of admission and gave me advice on which reports should I request for that is most useful in my situation and which to omit so I don’t have to waste $$ on something irrelevant. She really made my day! Please keep doing what you’re doing <3

Be careful before your purchase, they won't refund you for the canceled order. I purchased one worker's medical report and requested to refund on the same day. but so far, it's been a few months, and I followed up with their finance team, but no refund received.

The appointment hotline for x rays diagnostics is always busy. The automated phone appointment service does not show my mri appointment, only the usual doctors' appointment. I waited 30 mins twice (!) and still no one picks up the call. The level of service is totally unacceptable. And we call ourselves a first world country? Such a joke!

I have mixed reviews about SGH -- while my experience has not been all bad, I want to put it on record that the after-discharge care is terrible. After seeing the same Neurologist for more than 2 years and then being discharged a few months ago, my family was left in the lurch -- requesting for medication top-ups and help with doctor's referral became very difficult. The first response we usually get is "Your Dad's been discharged." Duh.

Seriously Dr Lester Lee and his team are extremely unprofessional , made us go down for medical appt only to send us home cos they book us on the wrong date and now they keep changing our operation dates without our consent. Some medical doctors are full of themselves

I am posting this review due to the incompetency and lack of communication in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) feedback department with its staff, Andrea Chen and Serena Chua. I sent them numerous emails including follow-up and they haven't responded back yet. Never ever send feedback to SGH even though their automated message said they would respond back within 2 working days. Don't bother calling or emailing the general hotline or feedback department. They only receive feedback It's up to them when or whether they want to respond to you, You cannot complain against them if they are not doing their job responsibly. There's no higher authority to escalate the matter to, not even the Chief of the hospital .It seems they are not under the hospital's supervision. Ms Andrea's answers were incomplete, and mistakes made were not corrected. Showing impatience and arrogance by remarking that her email would be her final reply and acknowledgement. Ms Serena didn't bother to investigate nor address the specific issues appropriately. Her response was conditional. It was a half-hearted effort. As the Head of the department, certainly she can do better., It's a shame she couldn't do it with sincerity. Terrible long waiting time to get a reply. Requests were not taken seriously and responsibly. Not forthcoming in assisting or resolving issues and to clarify any misunderstandings. Very unprofessional and not responsible at all for a public hospital. The hospital has no intention to make improvement nor reform of it's feedback department. I don't understand how this hospital is so highly rank when they can't even respond to an email.

Very worst hospital. I never seen like this hospital. We put appointment for more than 5hrs till we will not consult the doctor. Staffs are roming there and there only but they not consult the patient quickly. Lot of old peoples are here to come and get treatment everyone put on waiting, it's worried things. Don't come here for any emergency cause else you will die at waiting room.

😠 My son had a day surgery on Feb 17. Although the surgery went well and the care rendered by the surgeon and outpatient ward nurses were amazing, unfortunately the post discharged experience was a disaster. We followed up with the business office on the e-filing for insurance claim in March after re...

😠 Long queue at the pharmacy. I had to ask an old lady to stop waiting and get a seat, I will let her know when it is her turn. I would have expected a better system, allowing people to scan their NRIC, get a Q number and be seated to wait. Tan Tock Seng Hospital can do better. This is Singapore, not...

😠 Made an appointment for a PCR test (they give you the time slot), waited two hours in a crammed together in a group of lines to register for my pcr test. Absolutely abismal, barely any AC, and total confusion. One guy next to me was a “walk in” and he waited for 4.5 hours to be seen. Why they still...

👍👍 One of the better hospitals to visit. Modernised look and not too crowded. Don't be fooled by the negative comments. Waiting time is always about demand and supply, and you don't know what is going on behind the scene or what concurrent duties frontline staff are facing. Hospital is constantly promo...
