Don't go to the emergency clinic. While there's no queue, the service is bad and they are way too laid back to the point of negligence. I had to explain my condition 5 times for the nurse to understand what I needed. Best yet, she reported the wrong dosage of my drugs to the doctor -- precisely the drugs that I had gone to check for a serious reaction to. And as if that wasn't bad enough the doctor had a serious attitude problem. I explained to him why I needed an urgent blood test and he laughs in my face and waves me off like I'm some hypochondriac. Then when I went get my blood tested, he runs after me and starts asking more questions (presumably because he googled and realized it's a very possible and serious condition that I'm worried about). Meanwhile, the only thing the receptionists and nurses talk about is money. While registering, the first thing they asked was if I'm willing to pay S$96 for consultation (not even ask for my ID Card first!). And before the nurse drew my blood, he again ask me if I am okay with the blood test cost. It's a plausible life/death situation -- do you really think I won't pay a measly S$50 for a blood test?! So please don't go. I had MUCH better care at the emergency ward at the general hospitals.

It was my first serious injury. Was worried when first saw such badly fractured & deformed hand. Thankful to have operations done by very careful & meticulous hand surgeon Dr.Andrew Yam who identified respective bones & ligaments problems precisely. Am amazed at how well the operations were done. The hospital team was very caring & supportive too. Also, the good soundproof flooring enhances quietness, so patients in the cosy rooms are not disturbed by footsteps n trolley noises. Truly grateful.

Should have read the reviews on this place before coming here. Absolutely horrible hospital, clinic was empty but made to wait to see the doctor even though they were not doing anything. The price is crazy expensive for their level of service, it is alright if they are good but totally not worth the sub standard service.

We pre booked a single room fot a surgery scheduled for 8.30 am. Arrived at 6 .30 am as arranged to be told no room. staff suggest to take a room for 4 and no guarantee to upgrade. Called the surgeon whose clinic is in Farrer Hospital who made all arrangements and still the same reply. had to go home and reschedule surgery for another day at another hospital. staff tried to help but beyond them. This is our worst experience with a medical facility. My sympathies to any foreigner who may hve the same experience if they come via the medical tourism mode. Book this hospital at your own risks. I want to give zero star if available.

Security guard working on 17 Oct 2020 at 10:45am was very rude. I was dropping a patient off my car. The elderly patient has difficulty getting off my car and walking. He started hurling at us and scolded us rudely and loudly that we were slow. This is a hospital, not an army camp and we are not here to be scolded in public. Please respect others. Hospital management, please remove this security staff. Most terrible reception at a hospital. We have been to other hospital like Mt. E orchard, Mt E Novena and Mt A. None of the security staff behave like yours. Total disgrace to Farrer Park hospital. I am utterly disappointed in the reception I am getting at your hospital. If I could give ZERO star, I would give ZERO. Not worthy of even half a star for such rude and terrible reception!!! I believe others might encounter such incidents as well and I do hope that such incidents don't persist.

went for a day surgery. doctors staffs facilities all are good, none of these are my concerns. My concern here is data security. they are collecting credit/debit card details in a printed paper as a hardcopy which is a very critical security flaw. the staff said it is safe but it is not. Somebody can easily breach and it is against the law.

One of the best hospital in Singapore for medical treatment and operation, all is handle by professional staff. Hospital is clean and safe, also they are strict for regulations. Their doctor, nurses, and staff is handle with care to my son, after operation procedures, and they are keep intense to do regular checking Total medical price treatments you still possible to do negotiation for medical bills with them, at least with quality services they are served its worthed of money.

I was extremely unhappy wth the service I was provided today at my Health Connexion Screening for an Annual Screening. You spend 3 hours doing all these tests and then they say they won't give you the results for another month! They do tests but there is no specialist to review the results (unless you make another appointment and pay extra). Avoid this place.

This used to be my go-to place a few years ago. Credible and assuring doctors. Fast services and thorough too. As of late, this year I think they have replaced many of their staff, the service is horrible. The wait is ridiculous all for an exorbitant charge. The wait is somewhat equivalent to a government hospital. 4 - 5 hours. I have also turned away this year when I had an injury at home and needed immediate attention. The nurse simply told us to find a government hospital. It is sad. The specialist clinics are still of high standards though, just the A&E clinic.

I do not feel that the doctors at the 24 A&E Clinic has the patient's best interest at heart. They tend to pressure the patient into making impulsive decisions by manipulating the injured patient's fragile emotions during the medical consultation, instilling fear by magnifying the severity of the injury and the consequences of not obeying their recommendations for a much more expensive treatment just because they realize you are covered with insurance although such expensive treatments may not be necessary at the moment. I am very disappointed that the medical doctors in this hospital are treating their patients in this manner.

I had a very good experience here. All staff, from pre-registration to check-out were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I canโ€™t remember the last time I had such a perfect experience. The hospital is modern, has a feel-good hotel feeling and is super clean. The food was nice with a good choice even for me as a vegan. There is one critique I have: Upon registration, one is asked to provide credit card details on a hard copy. I am sure they are treating this data with upmost care, but really there are better, safer ways to store this data. All in all: 10 stars out of 5. If you need a hospital in Singapore, this is the one.

Simply appalled with the services provided at this hospital. Inexperienced nurses with poor house keeping habits. Simple blood test need 2-3 nurses to try. Leave open packets and used alcohol swabs and surgical tape everywhere in my room. Best is one of the nurse told me to use the scented body lotion on my sore when I told her that Iโ€™m itching and want a cream to apply. Appalled. Being a patient already makes oneโ€™s mood bad enough but having inexperienced nurses makes everything worse. Wouldโ€™ve given a 3 stars as some of the nurses are good and food decent. However I wrote a feedback and the customer service who called to follow-up made me so angry. I wanted to feedback for improvement but he called and tell me what the nurses wrote on their log book against my feedback ๐Ÿคฏ failed basic customer service - when a customer is upset, you try to appease him/her first. Instead he kept reading like a robot from his note even though I told him itโ€™s not necessary because Iโ€™m talking about my feeling and experience as a patient there. Kept saying that he understand but he still has to go through point by point. What is he trying to drive at? Zero customer service.

My family member was admitted into hosp here. Overall only the food was nice, but i come here not because it is restaurant. It is because other popular hosp is full. Otherwise the rest in this hosp is not so good. The worst is on the day of discharge. We saw a group of hotel guests under stay home notice also got just discharged. Feeling very unsafe and dangerous here if potential COVID 19 spread to us. They should just focus on one area either hosp or hotel especially during this COVID 19 time. It should not take guests for SHN in hotel as both hotel and hosp are in the same building. How if potential COVID19 spread to weak patients in hosp as all of them are in the same building and i believe they share same staff in the back. During this COVID19, i think better visit other hospital as it is safer due to other hosp does not attach to hotel with potential COVID-19 hotel guests.

It is a bad hospital to visit as I had bad experience with the doctor there. I have regretted to go there. A random search from internet has shown that some of practicing doctors in this hospital were convicted by singapore medical council due to professional misconduct. There are also practicing doctors in this hospital who were suspended by singapore medical council. I feel very unsafe and dangerous to visit this hospital again.

Last month, I had my mom surgery here. The hospital asked you to deposit a maximum fee (hospital+doctor) before the operation, and they said that they would return the money if the fee below the deposit you've made. The hospital said that they can't give you the final bill after discharge from there (they need 5 day to collect and finalize the bill). This is where the scam is possible to happen. After the bill is finalized, you will never know if they put any "additional fee" and you can't do anything about it because you've already paid the full amount at the admission The hospital promised to return my remaining deposit (because the final bill is less than may deposit) 1 day after I received my final bill. But what actually happened is i need to call the hospital every day to ask about the refund (after i waited 1 week and haven't got the refund). I received my refund at day 12 after I got the final bill The only reason 1 gives 1 star for this hospital is that the room is nice and I can't give 0 star. Please avoid this hospital if you have another option to go. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

bad experience . They dont bother to reply to questions we raised on the billing and to explain the overcharged bill upon discharge. Fully agreed with the other reviewers' bad comments. Sub-standard services. No use to go through the contact centre for complaint as they will re-route to the same department . Definitely will avoid.

I can't trust this hospital at all, especially its doctors. I have filed complaint to ministry of health. It is too late to know from other reviewer that this hospital has practising doctors who were found guilty by singapore medical council, who were suspended by singapore medical council. For me, the quality of doctors in this hospital are questionable and poor quality.

second time here and i believe it's time i left a feedback. Experience was terrible. was here at 8am to do an endoscopy, and was told there was no single room available (like seriously? the hospital was so quiet and empty) they told me that they would lodge me temporary at the endoscopy centre whilst the patients will discharge during lunch time. My scope was at 10am and i woke up around noon. I felt terrible because not only was it noisy, they also left the lights on and i couldnt rest properly. After lunch the doctor came to see me. the reason why i came here is also because of him. after explaining to me the medication and so on, i asked if the room was ready, but was told that the patient just discharged and they had to clean the room. so i went back to sleep but was awoken round 3pm. I asked the nurse again and she said it still wasn't ready and probably needed another 30 min. I packed my bags and waited till 4pm. My patience was wearing thin. I called the admissions and asked why it took so long to clean 1 room since lunchtime. If I were to pay $600/night (my insurance didnt cover 100%) for a single bedded room but to only go up after dinner time, i might as well not pay for it. It's not worth. I then asked if there was a 4 bedded room available. I wouldnt mind moving there. She then told me she needed to check but asked if i could wait till evening as the hospital was full. Outrageous. I told her yes pls check, then she even had the audacity to ask me to inform the endoscopy staff myself! I hung up the phone and told the nurse but the nurse said the room was actually ready and could bring me up in 10 minutes! Seriously?! I mean the admissions staff service is not only horrible but did not even bother to check properly. The moment I called her she just said everything was full. What's worst is when they brought me to the wards, IT WAS EMPTY. The 4 bedded wards were also EMPTY. At least HALF WERE EMPTY. I was fuming. The nurse was very nice, he apologised on behalf for the long wait but I'm sorry I have to leave a feedback. The hospital needs to do something about it. Like I mentioned, this was my second visit. I came here 6 months ago and a similar thing happened but I was moved to the single bedded ward the moment I ended my scope so it was okay. It was still a better experience then.

Was admitted for a night. Admission was smooth and fuss free. Staff are very friendly. I was admitted into the deluxe room. It was very spacious and comfortable. It even had a small corner for any guest to accompany me. For breakfast, I was served chicken, scrambled eggs, cherry tomatoes, mushroom and kale. It was flavorful and delicious. Not something you'd expect hospital food to be. I felt like I was on a staycation.

Very disorganized check in and admission procedures. I'm here to do endoscopy and was told to goto level 5 for admission but there wasn't enough staff and being asked to go to level 2. At level 2 there is no queue system and is based on random / lucky draw/ staff memory to be the next in queue. Updates: Ward side and operations are still professional. 5 stars for that. The only thing that they need to improve is the admission process. It is the first impression (touch point) the patient has with the hospital. Clear instructions are very important. I don't really buy the idea of can't hire people, it all depends on how much you salary u offer for that position.

Itโ€™s a pity we canโ€™t rate zero or negative star here. The admin team of this hospital is a total disaster. On my day of discharge, by mistake they didnโ€™t pass one receipt to me. After I tried to call five or six times I finally got one of the staff email me the scanned copy; on the call she also said they can pass to me the original receipt on another occasion. 3+ weeks passed and now when I called in asking if I can go down and collect it, they now say they had given it to me. ?!?! Sheer lie. Not to mention how they were hounding on the insurance LOG.

It was like a 5* hotel from check-in to check-out. Food options and quality were like those from top restaurants. ACL reconstruction was done well without complications. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The cost is understandably high given the quality of care. Nevertheless affordable with private health coverage and co-insurance under Medisave. No complimentary parking available. Stayover bed a little too small for comfort. Location is better compared to MT E - less jam, easy to find parking, serene. I will definitely visit again - only if necessary :). 20 Feb 2024: I am still waiting for the final and itemised bills required for claims reimbursement. Op was on 7 Dec 2023. Seems taking too long. Hence, demote to 1*. 22 Feb 2024: I called in to enquire and I was told that bill was mailed and emailed on 2nd Feb. But after checking my mailbox, I could not find the bill. 23 Feb 2023: I called in to confirm if the bill was indeed sent only to find out that final deduction on credit card had not been made. Hence, bill had not been sent out. Which means, the info given on 22nd Feb was totally wrong. As of 26 Feb, I did not receive an explanation for the misleading information, but at least I finally receive a copy of the final bill. The billing experience was definitely a knock off the reputation.

Hospital and staff were efficient with my care. Despite being pricked over four times to find a vein, I was nursed back to health in no time. Quick diagnosis, quick treatment and was on my way. The single room I was given for my stay had a nice view but the bathroom needed some extra attention i.e Visible mould in the shower area. Had to take off two stars because of the poor attitude given by the catering staff that would bring meals daily. Some simple bed side manners could go a long way. All in all, doctors and nurses were great but will likely go to a different hospital next time

Stayed in room 919 Room Amenities: 1) Seating area by the window 2) Wooden chair 3) Cupboards with ample storage 4) A kitchenette with a sink outside the toilet 5) Private ensuite toilet 6) A safe in the cabinets 7) Mini fridge 8) A android pad you can use to go online 9) Controls for automatic blackout/filtered blinds 10) Toiletries 11) TV with controls Food: The food here is halal. There are 4 choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 1) Chinese 2) Western 3) Vegetarian 4) Others - Miscellaneous You also get a cake/bread for afternoon tea and a small snack with a drink for supper. Food here in general is ok. Not fantastic but not too bad. Room: Room wise I would definitely prefer Mount E Novena for their amenities. Mount E feels a lot cosier and homey. Farrer Park feels sanitized and looks a lot more like a hospital. I did like the cove lights for FPH. I switch it on in the evenings before bed. Views: Hands down Farrer Park is better. Waking up every morning to the views of the flyer and the city hall buildings in the distance was nice. Also it was great to have such big windows and unblocked views. I was staying a floor above the gardens and that was a nice view too. Medical equipment: I have to say their MRI took me by surprise. It was a lot less noisy than those at Gleneagles and Mount E Novena. It was the first time I ever slept through an MRI. Their tunnel is not dark at all but brightly lit by a light at the other end. There is a picture attached for your reference. And it looks really futuristic compared to all the MRIs I have done before. Physio centre: I would say their physio centre has the most equipment I have seen. They have 2 reformer machines and 2 cadillacs on top of the normal equipments you will see at a physiotherapy clinic. Convenience: It is very convenient for people to visit as there is a direct exit from the MRT. Exit C and it is sheltered the entire way to the hospital. A great plus point. Also nearby there is City Square mall with lots of food choices like Don Don Donki as well. Staff: In general most of them are friendly but I did meet a few not so friendly ones. In terms of service I will give it to Mount E Novena because Farrer Park hospital service staff can still do better. For the price of the stay each day, I would expect the same if not much better service from them compared to Mount E Novena.

If you are used to the kind of service at Mt E, then this place would be a great disappointment. To begin, service at registration feels very transactional, staff were not very friendly/welcoming. There were not butler who would direct you to the ward from the level 2 service desk. Had to do a second admission paperwork once we reach the level 10 inpatient wards. Staff at this registration was also not smiling/welcoming. Room lacked basic things like coffee and tea. Nurses are ok but not the most attentive. They forgot about our lunch and only served 1.5h later (after we asked). 2 stars for the relatively new facilities and pleasant environment (view from the ward is great).

Hospital located in Little India area that is very convenient due to the faculty being connected to a hotel. Staying at the the hotel allows you to access the hospital without having to step outside. Many services offered from major testing to typical out-patient needs. Three weeks ago I had written to the two service quality staff to feedback about a nursing practice by their locum nurse. Separately the feedback was addressed to the Chief Nurse. However, so many days have passed yet we have yet to hear from anyone from FPH. Will our feedback be looked into seriously and get appropriate attention when concerns are real and disturbing?

I went there in the middle of the night for a small emergency. No other patients were there, so I literally had two nurses and one doctor attending to just me, that's a luxury. I came out of the place in under 2 hours and had the time to see the doctor two times, do an X-Ray and get the results, receive treatment and remain in observation until things got better. It's a record. I went there with the fear to get admitted and almost came out with the regret not to have been! I'm kidding, but you get the idea :) Great team, caring and knowledgeable. I read other reviewers reporting that the staff pushes you to carry invasive treatments. For me it was the exact opposite, and they knew I had a very good insurance and a night in the hospital would have been more than justified. Instead, they gave me a very conservative treatment and some very sensible advice in the case things wouldn't get better (things did get better). Thanks to the emergency team again then, if I could give you 10 stars I would.

Initiated and run by a group of old doctors who are rejected by Mt Elizabeth hospital. While other hosps have banned the doctors who have been convicted under disciplinary tribunal inquiry in the singapore medical concil (the lists are available in the website), this hosp will give privilges for these doctors to practise as this hosp needs doctors to generate revenue. In summary, the hosp has difficulty to adhere to its mission of value, fairness and comfort due to its poor financial account and incapable management leaders. Therefore, it is advisable to visit other hosps which have doctors with good track of records.

The ward was not very clean, the sink in toilet was very disgusting. The hospital doesnโ€™t want to help us do the claim submissions and wanted to charge us additional admin fee only for helping us send some docs to our personal insurance company. The staff here is not consistent, one staff told us one version of process and on the next day the other staff said they canโ€™t do it and said all hospitals in singapore are like this - only helping submit a claim once to one insurance company. Ridiculous service. Try not to come to this hospital. Seriously.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a world of unparalleled comfort and care. The facilities at Farrer Park Hospital are nothing short of exceptional. The room was a haven of luxury, boasting amenities that exceeded anything I could have imagined. From the expansive widescreen television to the two immaculate toilets with shower facilities, every detail was meticulously designed with patient comfort in mind. The living room area, complete with a pullout sofa bed, provided a welcoming space for both relaxation and recovery. The automated blinds and adjustable lighting added an extra layer of convenience, allowing anyone to customise their environment to suit my needs perfectly. Beyond the lavish accommodations, what truly sets Farrer Park Hospital apart is its commitment to exemplary service. The staff members were not only efficient and professional but also genuinely caring and compassionate. Whether undergoing a medical procedure or embarking on the healing process, Farrer Park Hospital provides an environment that is conducive to both physical and emotional recovery. The combination of luxurious amenities and attentive care makes it a standout destination for anyone seeking top-notch healthcare.

Went yesterday to the emergency for a minor health issue. I was expecting long wait and bad service from the reviews I read. But actually it was the opposite: very efficient staff, good organisation, everyone was kind, the doctor was also very good. They gave me the documents for my travel insurance and my pills straight away and the whole thing only took like 1 hour!

This is a full service hospital that is new and still unknown to many of our visitors. It may be relatively small in size considering the limited plot of land granted, that doesn't make it a lesser hospital that provides full range of medical and healthcare services. If you want to receive treatment and enjoy unparalleled nursing attention, this is THE ideal place to come before it gets crowded like any other more familiar hospitals. We have super wonderful experience both in ICU and Inpatient Suite (general ward) as a patient and as the patient's spouse. Sweet memories!

The hospital is highly recommendable. The facilities are very impressive and very clean. I was attended by Dr Paul Mok and Anesthesiologist Dr. Longathan Suresh Babu. The nurses were so kind and very caring namely Ryan, Patma, Vanessa, Anna, Corazon and Marnel. I will not forget the beautiful Butler Marianne. All the nurses in chage in operating room, were so bubbly and nice that a patient like me will not really feel anxious . Keep it up the good services and more power to everyone and to.the management.๐ŸŒท

stayed for a few nights for my nasal surgery, private suite is very comfortable with a city view. in suite bathroom shower amenities by trussardi. food is not bad, not as bland like what we thought of hospital food. there are butlers that come to take your pre order meals, there is even high tea and supper snacks. there is a small garden where you can take in some fresh air. nurses are friendly and will always check how am i doing, any pain or any issues.

I just want to say thank you to the wonderful nurses ,hospital staff and Dr Kan , I was admitted last week and had surgery straight away. I was looked after extremely well by every person I came in to contact with from A and E all the way to the ward. The staff are working more hours than they should as not enough workers yet at no point was anyone rude or tired . I was welcomed with warmth and care by everyone. I just canโ€™t thank them all enough .

Beware of going to this hospital. First time doing MRI and I was trying to tighten the earplugs but nurse told me it's unnecessary and will be given extra earmuff for protection. During the session, I was having earache and asked to stop. She paused it and said I'm disrupting the test and had to re-do the whole thing if I stop. She also said it's normal to hear loud noises because the ear protection devices couldn't block all. Immediately after the scan, I asked her to check what was wrong. Then she said it was because I didn't fit in the earplugs tightly so I experience the earache. I'm not sure why at the first place she didn't check properly for me and even said it didn't need to fit in tightly. It is totally irresponsible and negligence. I have developed tinnitus and hyperacusis after the incident. I am very regretful for choosing this terrible hospital.

Thoroughly impressed - great patient experience! I went to the A&E on Saturday noon because of chest pains and I was almost immediately attended to. Nurse ran an ECG immediately, and shortly after I spoke to the A&E doctor who then referred me to a heart specialist who was available on-hand. I was quickly attended to by Dr. Eric Silvio Chong who ran some tests and quickly and confidently made diagnosis. I was quickly warded - Dr. Eric himself escorted me back to the A&E. The A&E staff offered to let me rest on one of the waiting roomsโ€™ beds, and allowed my friend to wait in the room with me. Not long after I was warded. Farrer Park did comprehensive tests & scans on me to not only ensure an accurate diagnosis, but also took extra initiative to ensure there were no underlying issues that may have contributed to my condition. The nurses, housekeeping staff and everyone I came across in the hospital were genuinely helpful and kind. I think itโ€™s safe to say the staff are treated well and this translates to their genuinely pleasant service to patients. I am thoroughly impressed by the sheer efficiency & speed of things at Farrer Park. My CT scan was scheduled for 2:30pm, but they were flexible and squeezed me in for an earlier slot as soon as the opportunity arose. Meals and daily routines ran punctually like clockwork. Even admin staff were efficient & pleasant. Kudos to the staff of the A&E, Ward 9 & Dr Eric Silvioโ€™s ESC Clinic. I am definitely sticking to Farrer Park Hospital for future medical & emergency needs. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

I was not feeling well and took an ART which confirmed to my disappointment that I was stricken with Covid. As I was having a severe sore throat, high fever and cough, I was looking to some prescriptions that would make me more comfortable. It is Sunday so I had very little choice and I don't want to go too far though I drive and therefore ended up at FP Hospital A &E. The initial protocols were alright and then I was told to wait in an isolation room for the doctor. Its the right thing to do but what follows confirm to me that compare to the doctors of our time (I am 63), the medical profession is just another job rather than a calling. This is what happened: Numerous times the lady doctor after she came in, had asked me whether I want to do any test. She did reply when I ask what test does she meant. It appears that after checking my lungs are clear, she never really determine what are possible causes of my high fever. She never asked if my cough has phlegm which I do, green mucous in fact. Then after putting down her stethoscope she again ask verbatim "you really don't want to do any test". Here I am, hoping an early consultation will give me a speedier and less painful recovery but there she was pestering me to do some tests. Instead of giving me assurances which is half the battle won in battling an illness, all I hear was "any test". This is what makes me think that it is just another profession. The hospital has spent big money on an equipment and the voice from the top is to achive the ROI. Unfortunate. I end up paying $280 just for Panadol, a bottle of Procodin, a box of lozenges and a slab of antihistamines, 3 of them I already have in my own medical pantry. Notwithstanding that they validated the "positive" ART results, checked my blood pressure and oxygen level to justify the charges, not aware that I have the complete kit at home. The money is fine since it is a private hospital, I supposed. Interesting to find out are what are tests and how much those tests cost so much so to make a young doctor pushed so hard. I guess it must be a big KPI. I must be at the right place and at the right time. My throat is still painful but I guess there is so much lozenges can do. GOD willing I will recover to put in a few more words. Daniel Ow

Avoid at any cost. Terrible morals of their revenue team. Get this: i came in for their 24 hr help (ENT), they said only in-patient support is available, so i got admitted for one day. After all the procedures were done, my corporate insurance received the total claim and only paid SGD4k out of SGD6.5k due to a technical mistake. While i was working with my insurance company (and it is a lengthy bureaucratic process , I admit, Farrer Park hospital team was in touch with me. Finally, the insurer paid them the remaining sgd2.5k, but that same date my wife got a call from FPH team ... They told her that while i was not available (i was not online for a couple of days, it is true), she should pay the outstanding amount ! My wife who did not know a thing about this issue did pay them the sgd2.5k immediately. Well done FPH Finance team ... Now i am scratching my head how to get our family money back... Avoid

Delayed billing, wrong MediSave billing under another name, and the reason given was that the staff had resigned. I was a patient who stayed a few nights and also did a CT scan here at Farrer Park Hospital. The hospital stay was great, the nurses were friendly and helpful, and the food was good. However, the billing or finance department seems to have an ongoing issue with delaying the issuing of invoice, as seen from the other reviews. Though I did the CT scan on 14 August, I only just received the reissued invoice for my insurance claim after the previous one had a big mistake containing the word 'pending' on it, when I have already paid up in full on the day of my scan. Therefore, I could not claim with the first errored invoice. It took multiple calls and visits to the hospital to get them to send the correct invoice to me, when it is long overdue from the date of claim given by my insurance. It was only after I called another two times yesterday and threatened to go down again and speak to the higher ups, that everything was done efficiently and the invoice was emailed to me within 20 minutes. All this while, I was told through the calls that they had to wait for the imaging department to get back and they had to verify some details with me as the previous staff that did my errored billing had resigned. However, when I received the correct invoice today, there was no call to verify any details whatsoever. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience with the finance department, and I hope that something can be done to stop this ongoing problem for other patients. Please stop with the excuses or lies telling me that this will be settled by end of the day or I will receive a call when I never did, and I had to call back many times in order to finally receive the correct invoice.

I came to the Medical centre. Impressive at first glance-they posted a reminder "Mask required at our Medical Centre and Hospital" but their own staffs DO NOT PUT ON MASK! From the front counter at level 1 to their staffs with red lanyard that I met in the lift wasn't with a mask. It should be MASK REQUIRED regardless staffs or visitors in health-care environment.

One thing I realised since 2018 as I was here for scope back then and today. Level 5 admission staffs will let you wait and keep attending to those idiots who come late for admission. To me, a simple 10mins paper work and I have to come 2 hours earlier just to facilitate for those idiots who don't have, or rather, do not bother to have time management skills. I do hope the hospital management look into this as this is only encouraging bad behaviours! The nurses and Drs are great๐Ÿ‘ Special thanks to Staff Glenn Goh at level 1 admission office for his excellent and super efficient service.

This is the best hospital I've stayed. The staffs at level 8, their TLC overload, attentive and alert to ur needs. Next changing shift team will come in say halo and they are taking care of me โค๏ธ minor gestures shows alot. But their food is kinda bland. Highly recommend this hospital ๐Ÿ‘ Just discharged today, it's been a great 8 days stay well taken care by them. But I find that they like to add on 'fees' like eg my lymph nodes swell, ENT doc came feel n explain in 3mins. Bam! I was charge over $400 for less than 10mins consult. Then my blood test shows I low blood, then a blood doc came as well. Seems like the docs will upsell other docs services ๐Ÿค” I would rate for services 1st Farrer Park 2nd Gleneagles 3rd Mount A 4th Mount E orchard (over rated)

Waited very long for my turn on a Thursday 10.30am (low peak). Iโ€™m B011 but they skipped my turn and prioritise B012 - disrespected. There were two counters open but one counter managed by the lady in black was stuck with the same group of customer for 30mins and counting. The lady in red did not accept new queues either.

I would like to highly commend Aaron Gan whom is an executive with Patient Service Centre from this hospital. My son was admitted for a major surgery at this hospital. During discharge, there were some issues regarding my insurance guarantee of payment for the hospital bill. Aaron provided me some very good advice and financial counselling on how I should go about claiming from both my corporate and personal insurance. I would say he went above and beyond his duties, and has even helped to defer my payment while I seek supersede LOG from my insurance company for the hefty bill. His services is highly commendable esp. during this trying time for my family. Great job Aaron!

Thanks to his efforts, I was able to be discharged on time. Aaron's genuine concern for patients like myself truly made a difference, and his compassion and dedication reflect positively on the hospital. Great hospital. Clean and new. The ICU lounge is also very new and refreshing. However the price is expensive since it's private (as expected). The nurse is friendly too. It's a very conveniently located hospital, being connected with Farrer Park MRT station. It's also a very new hospital, with its suite of medical clinics and specialists who have since set up shop here. Wouldn't consider it the best hospitals in Singapore, in the midst of all other legacy-named private hospitals. Personally my ear nose throat doctor is here, and my family and I have been visiting him for the longest time now. Besides that, my guess is as good as yours!

Very kind and nice private rooms if you have good insurance. No waiting time. But the communication between nurses and the patient is bad. They don't tell me when and with what I should take my medication. For example they gave me antibiotics with dairy products and with pro biotics. I asked if that's correct and they said sorry no. You should organise better. Plus I had to describe my symptoms 20 times to different nurses and doctors. Just assign a nurse to the room.

I am writing this review while I am inpatient. Right now, in this very hospital. I am not sure why there is so much negativity towards this place, and whether there is some kind of internal cultural issue/conflict among the team working here. In any case, I hope it gets worked out soon. But from a patientโ€™s perspective - I encountered smooth processes from admission and until now. There is smooth communication among the staff from shift to shift that I am not able to communicate verbally (because of a voice condition) and the nurses were ready to step in and help when necessary. The admission staff were also very proactive in assisting when they saw me with crutches and helpful with answering my queries (even though it took longer because I had to communicate by typing on my phone). The nurses in Ward 9 (Or IPS 9 - in their terminology) were also really sweet and friendly. One even told me to โ€œbe careful! please donโ€™t fall down!โ€ when she saw me hobbling past the nurses station with my crutches because I liked to walk around... to spin pokรฉstops on Pokรฉmon Go. ? Even the F&B staff were really helpful in pin-pointing what food is safe for me when I told them I had a nut allergy. Rooms wise, I must say that their rooms are the most well designed for UX and usability optimization (sorry, tech jargon here because I am a UI designer). The bed controls have a hook so they can hooked on the side rails without taking up valuable space on the bed. Thereโ€™s a reading lamp that can be curled or twisted inwards so you donโ€™t knock your head into it when itโ€™s not in use. You can control the lights and blinds with a remote control right by your bedside. Thereโ€™s an additional sink right by the bed so I donโ€™t need to hobble too far should I need to wash my hands/my face. Even the side table is moveable so I can shift it forward so that I can reach my things better, especially when my bed is in an upright position. And the large airy windows provided great views. I have nothing to complain about, except that my knee is still painful (but itโ€™s an injury that will take time to heal anyway). Donโ€™t expect miracles.

It was my first visit to Farrer Park hospital. I was admitted at 6 am on a weekday morning for a surgery for 8 am. Main admissions counter is closed at that time, lights are dimmed in the lobby and you are redirected by a notice posted at an admissions desk to go to the emergency clinic. The emergency clinic is manned by a single admin staff on duty who has to do everything- your admission, answer queries from staff, attend to other patients being admitted. The admission staff was a bit confused, after photocopying my IC, entering details, taking my surgery procedure details and consent letter etc, which took about 15 minutes, then asked me if I was here for a procedure! I confirmed yes but was a bit rattled as this should have been obvious with the paperwork and the hospital should have known this. And to add to my sense of unease, the place looked desolate and dark so I thought that I had come on the wrong day or wrong time. Then she checked the online system, which showed that the surgery suite was booked by my doc, then she double checked with the ward on this. However my doubts remained as I walked to the ward, as even in the ward, I could see just three nurses and everything was dim and quiet. I was worried that the hospital had overlooked the booking but the surgery would proceed anyhow with anyone present pulled in to assist and it would not end well for me. However I was told that the night shift ended at 7 am after which there would be more staff and it would get busier and a call with my doctor assured me that all was indeed in place, that he had operated here at this time and he found it to be a good hospital. After that things went smoothly, met the doctor, the nurses, anesthesiologist before surgery and after surgery, there were regular checks by the nurses, physio and assistance was readily available. Food was tasty, lots of options. Superclean and new facilities, room, bathroom. Looks like a nice hotel with a desk and chair, a spare bed, wardrobe sink, attached bathroom and a large window with a nice view in the single room. The 4 bedder room where I was warded pre-surgery (so I learned no matter what type of room you ask for or your insurance covers, if they are all occupied you may not get it even if your surgery was planned in advance) was large and had two large clean modern bathrooms. Discharge procedures included a lot of waiting in the wheelchair for the documents and to find a porter to wheel the chair to take me to the carpark. One other concern I had was doc gave me some instructions which seemed to confict with what the physio asked me to do so I had to message the doc to get an answer. The plus, I could message the doc and get a quick response. Minus- do I need to be the go between, shouldn't the physio and doc communicate directly? As an immobile patient heavy on pain medication post surgery and without access to writing materials all important instructions should be given in writing. Written discharge instructions to the patient would be good to have: like caring for your wounds, how much to move about, what is abnormal, how many times to ice the area and for how long, exercises to do and how many times to do it. Positives: The hospital was well staffed with competent , attentive nurses and plenty of good quality new facilities at both the 4 bedder and single room. Very clean and modern looking facilities. Areas for improvement: Admissions and discharge procedures need to be improved and better staffed. Better training for admissions staff needed. More documented instructions/information needed between the doc/nursing staff and physiotherapist, and between healthcare staff and business office so the patient needs to leave the room only when the bill is ready and not have to wait long. Written discharge instructions for the patient. These will result in better patient experience and outcomes. Overall I did leave with a positive experience hence the 4 star as most importantly the healthcare staff were good but also thought a few things could be better.

Went to A&E this Sunday(23/7) at around 11pm with a twisted ankle. All 3 nurses and the doctor were very caring and patient. One nurse in particular spoke fluent chinese and helped me adjust the crutches as well as taught me how to use them, very commendable on her part.

Worst of the worst experience ever! I suffered a fall and had a concussion on the 26th Oct 2023 along Race Course Road on and around 8:33pm . The nearest hospital(Farrer Park Hospital) happens to be the nearest one. I directed one of my colleague to wheel me in a wheelchair to Farrer Park Hospital. From the moment I was wheeled into the hospital, I was questioned on my ability to pay the bills by the nurse(An Indian) โ€ฆ I am totally annoyed that even prior to accessing my medical condition, the Indian female nurse and the medical officer in charge (A Chinese doctor) were more preoccupied with my ability to pay their hospital bill even prior to accessing my medical condition! What happened to passion for the medical profession? Did they enter their current profession for the sake of money or for the sake of the passion for their job? Sad state the affair of this Country! Sadder still the Good people who profess to work for their passion but remain slaves to their love for โ€œMoneyโ€!

This is a review I wrote on their internal app. Really come to this hospital if you are really dying. If not try to stay away. The first review was in the afternoon I wrote. Despite the horror I saw in the operating theatre, I thought that would be all to it. Oh yes and admission at 7am means you see their staff comes in at 7am. So just come at 730am if you need to be admitted. I wrote the review yesterday and to add First red flag: in operation theatre, nurse don't even seem to understand what surgeon wants, in the end, doctor does it himself. Aftethat, it was a down hill experience. 1) improve training on your night shift nurses. - How to find a vein and insert IV gently 2) learn to knock door before opening 3) open door gently, and push tray without hitting wall 4) inform nurses that 7am is not the timing that all patients wake up and stop making so much noise outside. Either nurses or food service staff yeah 5) I brought my own medication, why insist on supplying me and then charge me for one full bottle of fish oil when I took only 3 capsules?? 6) One whole night in ward, I recieve only 2 jugs of water. Why doesn't hospital provide one everytime they serve a meal? 7) When admission took 30 min to go through my daily medication. Next morning can still miss out one Allopurinol. Then waste my time to explain my, brand etc for what when I got my own ?? 8)night shift nurses all no name tags, why? 9) patient bleeding, nurse seem to be more keen on leaving room. Is this medical care?? Frankly the list goes on, I just can't be bothered to go through further. Really feel like a 3rd world hospital. Photo shows 3 insertion. First one broke coz I accidentally hit against the table. That's when it bled when the nurse took it out. I am a patient taking aspirin hence it takes longer to clog. Nurse don't seem interested and was in hurry to leave. Next nurse comes to give me anti biotics. And this shld be quite a senior nurse, took almost 6mins to examine my left hand then my right hand. From the pictures it clearly shows my viens yet she poke right and say wrong. Took out and say will call doctor. Doctor don't come then come 3rd nurse, examine my left hand, without any 1,2,3 or those prep lines you always hear., she just force it in. Tie. Duration for it to enter fully, 1sec!! Yes 1 sec!! The fastest ever. And damn painful. Finally the first nurse comes again to administer the antibiotic. This whole process about 15min. Guess who showed up? The doctor on duty. Can't imagine if someone had a cardiac arrest. So 3rd world hospital ? You judge Hospital bill for one night. You think shld stay here or other private hospital?

I had an unpleasant experience with Dr. Chia Kok Hoong. The operation done on me was a total failure, on top of an unexplained 3 cm permanent dark scar on my left leg occurred during the surgery. Few months after the operation, my symptoms returned even worse than before the operation. A subsequent CT scan showed what was supposed to be fixed by Dr. Chia was not done at all. Before the operation, Dr. Chia did not inform me of the choice of procedures. He only convinced me that it was a simple surgery. He took my compulsory general anaesthesia lightly despite I am a senior. I had no choice but to consult another surgeon and had to do a second operation on exactly the same problem and same spot. As a result of the first improper operation done by Dr. Chia, my second operation became more complicated and required double the time than was estimated.
