Went
to
A&E
at
8PM
with
my
3
yr
old
son
who
had
fallen
off
the
swing
while
playing
and
was
complaining
of
neck
pain.
He
had
vomited
also.
The
A&E
doctor
on
duty
wrote
the
diagnosis
as
head
injury
even
when
the
child
told
him
that
the
pain
was
in
the
neck.
Finally
they
advised
me
to
admit
the
child
for
overnight
observation
and
I
was
shuttled
to
the
admissions
desk.
After
struggling
with
holding
the
child
in
my
lap
and
giving
various
details
to
them
I
was
told
that
only
a
"double
bed
room
was
available".
I
accepted
and
after
all
paperwork
was
done
I
was
told
that
the
room
was
a
shared
room.
I
refused
to
stay
in
a
shared
room
on
account
of
COVID
and
then
the
staff
suggested
to
call
a
specialist.
The
specialist
came
and
woke
the
sleeping
child
and
asked
him
to
do
various
things
like
walk
in
a
straight
line
etc.
He
also
suggested
to
keep
the
child
under
observation
overnight.
instead
of
consoling
me,
he
kept
telling
me
how
they
had
lost
a
4
year
old
around
the
same
time
last
year
because
the
parents
took
the
child
home
and
other
similar
stories.
NO
Parent
wishes
to
listen
to
these
things
especially
when
the
child
is
not
well.
They
need
support
not
emotional
bullying
so
that
the
hospital
can
make
money.
All
this
while
someone
or
the
other
kept
telling
me
the
expected
costs
involved.
Finally
the
child
was
admitted
and
all
night
the
nurses
checked
up
on
him.
Early
morning
I
asked
the
nurse
regarding
discharge
since
the
child
was
feeling
better.
At
first
I
was
told
doctor
will
be
in
between
9-10AM.
However
at
11AM
when
I
asked
the
nurse
again
I
was
told
"
We
admitted
you
last
night
at
11AM,
we
will
keep
you
for
at
least
2-3days.
This
was
shocking
and
I
demanded
to
talk
to
the
doctor.
After
a
while
the
specialist
came
on
the
line
and
told
me
that
he
would
come
after
lunch.
Finally
he
arrived
at
130PM
and
checked
the
child.
He
found
him
to
be
OK,
however
still
started
to
tell
me
about
the
children
that
had
fallen
and
died
since
the
parents
took
him
home.
I
just
wanted
to
get
my
child
away
from
him.
Finally
they
agreed
to
discharge
me
and
then
he
started
to
talk
about
packages
they
could
offer
me
for
the
next
few
visits.
I
refused
and
ran
out
of
the
hospital
as
soon
as
i
could.
Saddened
to
see
that
the
most
noblest
of
profession
has
succumbed
to
greed
and
genuinely
hope
that
no
parent
has
to
deal
with
such
a
traumatic
experience
again.
