I've been admitted twice in this hospital and made diametrically opposed experiences within the same week. First one was excellent! Level 8 staff was always ready, going the extra mile for a bit of added physical an mental comfort. Medicine (painkillers) was always delivered on time, for extra treatments, they'd do their best to reach out to doctors and get their opinions or approval in the shortest time possible. The most notable quality of this experience besides the professionalism, was their genuine KINDNESS and politeness. A greeting first thing in the morning, a "sleep well" in the evening and a caring smile each time you'd pass by, making this entire undesirable experience a bit more enjoyable. For my 2nd admission (level 9) after lung complications within the same week, I have made one of the worst experiences in my life AFTER the most traumatic night of my life. I couldn't do much due to my breathlessness and shattered thorax so for the first 3 hours I was left shivering, thirsty and without medication even though I asked for a blanket, asked for water and medication was already prescribed. There were no answers to my "good mornings" nor any other form of response. The smiles and caring attitude turned into dismissive looks and unprofessionalism throughout the day again when left this time without medication for 4 hours. I have ended up dragging myself out of the hospital, to a pharmacy and buy my own painkillers. Doors were slammed, lights switched on during the night and forgotten on, talking in the loudest voice, new patients brought in always included hitting my bed or loud telephone calls. To make things worse, when asking kindly for a bit more consideration towards other patients, I was literally dismissed by a porter (Roslan) with a "go away" like gesture. And yes there are cockroaches, bathroom cleanness is definitely not there, both bathroom sinks were clogged, towels sometimes stained. Food is fantastic though! Doctors are really among the best on the island. Very professional and attentive. Have I mentioned that it is one of the most expensive hospitals in Singapore? The same experience was made unfortunately by my good friend and colleague who's wife got admitted at the same time with me. Diagnosed with measles, incapable of eating nor drinking, forgotten for 12h without intubation for hydration nor medication. Which turn her situation from a bad one to a Intensive Care Unit one by developing pneumonia and a general drop in her state. Level 4 staff, was just as brutal, dismissive and uncaring just as level 9. When asked for blankets or water or minor tasks the answer was constantly "we're very busy" or "I don't have time for this". The pressure of an ICU unit is understandable because it's "intensive" but at the same time there's a "CARE" in it too.

2nd Post on 6 January 2022: I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism fro Dr Low Chian Yong. This is a change of mind when I decided not to publicly mention his name in my first post. For the record, I was given the understanding from a nurse in Ward 8 West on 12 November 2021 that Dr Low was the attending doctor during my mother’s admission to Gleneagles Hospital in November last year. My simple question on how can a Covid-19 patient who had become more infectious on Day 9 based on her CT values be discharged? The answer that Gleneagles Hospital was merely following MOH protocol is unacceptable. It does not answer my question. May I request Dr Low Chian Yong to have the basic courtesy to answer my question please? It does not reflect well on Dr Low if he chooses not to!!! Thank you. 1st Post in November 2021: Zero star for my personal experience with the attending Infectious Disease doctor (whom I shall not mention name) of Ward 8 West and MoH Covid Hotline staff! Three stars for the nurses looking after my mother during her 10-day stay. Hence 2 stars overall. Read on for the details. My elderly and non-English speaking mother was admitted not by choice to Gleneagles Hospital for Covid observation. Her CT values on Day 6 and Day 10 worsened. Based on MoH guidelines, the patient is infectious if the PCR CT value is 35 and below. My mother’s CT values are 19.5 and 18.5 respectively. I need assurance from the attending doctor that my mother is good to be discharged and for the well-being of my elderly father who is living in the same household as her. I am simply doing my part as a responsible child and to the greater community! I requested multiple times to speak with the attending doctor but to no avail! The nurse manager even lied that “someone would call soon” at least twice! I was also told by another nurse that the doctor doesn’t wish to speak with me at all. When I asked for the reason, she could not answer me. The default answer I got from speaking to the nurses to MoH Covid hotline staff is they are merely following MoH protocol! This is an easy but unacceptable answer! Despite the disappointing response to my unanswered questions, I wish to thank the hospital staff who is looking after my mother during her 10-day stay. Before I pen off, please allow me to suggest following areas for improvement: 1) Attending doctor to address the patient of her family member’s concerns. Even if the doctor needs more time to check. In my humble opinion, the delay in my mother’s discharge is caused by the doctor’s refusal to address my concerns. 2) Nurses not to mislead or lie. I rely on the nurses to help address or convey my concerns if they are unable to answer my questions. Citing they are following MoH protocol is an easy answer. 3) MoH staff to handle all enquiries with empathy. 4) Last but not the least, May I request the hospital to have patient’s well-being at heart. Everyone recovery journey is different. To both hospital and MoH Hotline staff members, do not look at every case with a standard procedure/protocol like robots/messengers. We are human beings. So, please treat every one with empathy and compassion! Thank you for reading my feedback.

Having heard so many good things about Glen Eagles, I opted to have surgery there. From the very get go, the clinic, hospital and staff has been underwhelming at best. The clinic/ hospital admin have been very inconsistent and unorganized. Clinical staff overlooked numerous medical billings and had to resend the LOG payment 3 times. Day of surgery, they still forgot an important piece of equipment. Hospital admin staff, ohhhh boy. One word, Awful. Admin forgot to take my food order. Sooo went 24 hrs before eating a plain tuna sandwich. Someone forgot to bring a patient food 🤦🏻‍♂️. Overall, staff is professional and courteous. But incredibly unorganized leaving many important aspects to slip through the cracks. I would look elsewhere Update: The doctors are FANTASTIC.

Disappointed! My wife came in for routine knee surgery a(October 1) I placed her in a private room. Hardly anyone came in to check on her. She had to ask for her food. My wife had to ask for assistance to urinate, at one point she accidentally wet the bed and they did not change her sheets; slept in it all night. Water to drink came late. There were no extra blankets in the overly cold room as I slept in the sofa-sleeper. Honestly, $600 for a private room begs the question, "Why?"

Very good eye doctor here. That is why I visited. However, the hospital is a big disorganised mess. Parking is difficult and expensive. Full of loud and noisy mainland Chinese patients who shouts in the waiting area and talk very loud on their phones. If I have a choice. I won't come here. Rather go to Raffles or Novena. More civilized.

The billing department is really sickening! I have called them several times requesting for the final bill to be sent to me but they just never do it! The hospital received our payment promptly and yet a simple task they cannot attend to it!

Horrible customer service. I made a phone call to seek advise on importing a stroke patient from JB and even specified a neuro surgeon. I was told by the customer service officer she cannot do anything and I have to call MOH myself and the clinic is closed and I can only try again on Monday. I called MOH and MOH said the protocol is for the hospital to make the necessary arrangements. Its a stroke case and this is how Gleneagles serve.

This is my first time to do some medical check up and also some a little surgeon in Singapore. First I asked the Parkway Agent about the recommended doctor for Indonesian at the hospital, especially for my GERD and Gastritis disease which is gastrology. I booked with a doctor named Dr. Dede. At first I consulted with him at the hospital. From the conversation, I can feel the different between indonesian and singaporean doctor which is he asked me several questions in detail and there's no need to hurry, if you have problems about your body just tell them. At this point, I was charged one consultation with a full payment of USG. After that I've got recommended to do endoscopy and USG since the doctor need to know what already happened inside my stomach. Then for tomorrow I do endoscopy and USG at the hospital. In brief, I did endoscopy in different room with the doctor and his assistant. Before doing the endoscopy, I have got my medical status checked and injected anesthesia. I have got a nice experience in doing endoscopy since it's so neat and very good management. After doing the endoscopy and USG, I paid the total amount of endoscopy treatment + the biopsy to be analyzed. Then I went to see a doctor, and he said to wait for 24 hours since the biopsy need to be confirmed whether it has a bacteria or not, so the doctor told me to meet him tomorrow. At this time, I didnt pay any consultation fee to the doctor which is different than in Indonesia. Then tomorrow I have got my result bout the detail of my disease then the doctor gave me some medication and need to email to him about my progress every 3/4 weeks to adjust the medication. This feature doesn't exist in Indonesia to email the progress to the doctor. When I paid for my medication, I only paid the medication and hospital facility fee, and there is no consultation fee again. This fact awestruck me and rates the hospital in singapore is very great in doing the service. Overall, I suggest for all foreigners who want to do some medication in Singapore, you can visit this hospital!

Entire family comes here for medical! Excellent doctors and nurses! Clinics are good as most of them are specialists, definitely worth the money. Carpark is too small and not enough lots for the amount of patients Gleneagles have! A big plus point is the valet! Definitely one of the best hospitals. Newly opened Starbucks is good as well

Came to one of their clinics located here. Given wrong station exit info by Goggle maps (had to wait and cross the traffic junction twice), and exit 1 is the correct exit that leads up to the hospital. Staff at the front desk should be more attentive in the morning when patrons approached the desk. Had to "interrupt" to get to the right building.

My doctor here was great. Though the entire experience in the hospital facilities and customer service was not the same. Not all the staff are well trained in their people relation skills. They get the job done, but you don’t necessarily feel relieved after. Feels more like an in n’ out hospital. Nothing good to eat here as well while you wait.

I was in this hospital from 5th October/16 to 11th October. I was digonosed with cancer in my right kidney. I got admitted for immediate right kidney removal surgery. I was in St.Dominic ward in room St. Jacob. OT is excellent, room is excellent, very clean. Doctors are very expert, except one nurse I found all the nurses very caring, humble and highly professional. Though it is Christian missionary hospital and I am a Muslim patient from Bangladesh, hospital served me Muslim food. But office seemed little beat lengthy.

Utterly disappointed with 24 hour clinic. Brought my baby to this hospital due to fever. However, Dr Lim Jie Sheng who attended to us did not take a look at my baby (not looking or touching) then told us that admission to hospital is necessary for baby 3 months and below as per hospital's guideline. If this is standard of a professional medical practitioner in a highly reputable private hospital, I urge all patients to think twice before visiting this hospital.

Nurses in the VVIP ward (10 West) were always seen gathering at the nurses station chit chatting and gossiping loudly to one another about their colleagues in inappropriate comments. Poor infection control when handling patients. No empathy when addressing patient's concern as well. Now I know where the good services came from. Not from the nursing staffs but the concierge staffs. Really disappointing . Drs here aren’t empathetic towards patients compared to government hospital drs. The care and concern from public health drs are commendable

I visit Gleneagles Hospital weekly to monthly for years. It's flabbergasting that a fully operating hospital has only one go-to place for food and drinks. However, you must have the luck of nine lives to be able to get a seat in the cramped Delifrance where hospital staff flocked in and queue in desperation for rations. If you're a patient reading this, I truly hope you're not allergic to gluten, eggs, and lactose intolerant – you know what I mean. When I check with the two clinics I visit about this, the staffs were in grievance as many staffs plead for food but was no avail. To the management that will potentially read this, I urge you to facilitate the basic needs of all lives. Please also leave the names of the people in charge of hospital facilities – I'm happy to endorse your profiles on Linkedin.

Unimpressed Pay through the nose. You’ll be seen quicker than at KK, but only because there are so few people. While Gleneagles A&E services a dozen, KK will see hundreds - and do a better job AND charge about a tenth. Gleneagles’ waiting room is nicer though. Gleneagles: Tried to charge me $40 for ointment I didn’t need. Wanted to email me the final charges… so I wouldn’t see the ridiculously overpriced ointment? While repeating doctor’s instructions he interrupted me & said they would give me a card with the information. The card had no after care instructions whatsoever. The “waterproof dressing” they put on was coming loose already immediately after applying and it was the same cheap thing I can buy at Guardian. I wonder how much I paid for that? And I almost forgot, when we went into the doctor’s office, he had a video game up and running on his tablet. Makes me wonder why I was waiting so long. When I went with my daughter last time: Tried to sell me on thousands of dollars of plastic surgery for a small cut on her chin - because it will affect her beauty. Seriously?!? It’s barely visible now. After today’s visit, I don’t think I’ll be back.

Visited their A&E at about 2am on a Thurs night. Efficient service with friendly staff. Doctors and nurses were professional. Waiting time was around 30-45minutes as promised when I dialed before going down. It’s easily identifiable and you can navigate the space rather easily. Parking also available in the compound itself or at the A&E section of the building. Thank you team.

If i could rate 0 i would definitely do it. Nurses are so rude and impatient when we asked them questions as it was our first childbirth. Especially the night shift staffs. They rarely check on you and delay the treatments. Paying more than other private hospital but receive rude treatments.

There were only 2 in front of me. Yet other than triage which attended to me swiftly, the wait was awfully long. I was in so much pain in my abdominal otherwise I won't be here. Why term the place emergency if the hospital has no intention to respond as expected of an emergency?

This grand old dame of private hospitals in Singapore has a long history of life-saving anecdotes in many families, including mine. Yesterday, it was that of my wife's ex-colleague. Something never changed. Yes, including the insufficient car parking capacity, the never-ending traffic diversions, and renovations. But hey, who cares when life matters

Very undesirable environment for some of group of the employees with no SOP from HR. Without proper protocol for meal time duration. Limited food variety in-house for the group of employees. Shift/annual leave schedule planning with non standard protocol and left it to department in-charge with unequal treatment subjected to their whim and fancy. Management may need to review to provide a better positive work environment to all.

Doctor Koh Tat Ngee Excellent Ear, Nose and Throat doctor! I was on vacation in KL and had ear wax stuck in my ear. Very uncomfortable and made traveling unbearable! I was recommended to go see Dr. Ngee. He took me in without an appointment and took car of my ear and gave me medicine. He was a God sent! Pleasant, professional, and so reasonably priced!

Their accident and emergency (A&E) department is not the best place to take children. Took my infant daughter for a respiratory infection and was referred to a paediatrician as there was none available on site. I had also taken my son there for a mosquito bite which lead to swelling and redness on the skin near his eyes the next day. Having worked in healthcare, I was concerned about the possibility of cellulitis and whether he needed antibiotics. I brought up my concern to the emergency room physician. He stated it did “not look red enough” to be cellulitis and to apply a steroid cream to the site. I asked if he needed oral antibiotics, he said “no.” Well, the next day, the swelling was even worse. I took him to KKH and he was diagnosed with periorbital cellulitis! We had to follow up with an ophthalmologist to make sure the infection did not progress to his eyes. After a course of antibiotics, the swelling and redness has thankfully resolved.

A&E at Mt Alvernia are a bunch of incompetent people. From the nurses to the doctors. My mom almost died last year when they were delaying treatment and the doctor wanted to send my mum home. Good time we insisted on keep her there despite their reluctance. Saved her life as she lost an organ the very next day and had to undergo major surgery. You all should be ashamed of your lack of professionialism and incompetence. The nurses and doctors at the main hospital are great though, just the A&E personel who were absolutely useless.

Never head to GLENEAGLES, at least not the A&E. Had a midnight emergency which required some minor surgery. The surgery was conducted well, but ALL staff, especially the attending doctor, were rude and unsympathetic of the patient's situation. Worse, they were condescending and even slightly insulting. And it gets worse. Insurance claims later required a doctor's note. The doctor then wrote a letter exaggerating the situation and blaming the cause on the patient's negligence. He also makes his own assumptions as to what happened, and prevented the insurance claim from going through. That was a bill of a few thousand dollars. And you thought it was just the attending doctor? All follow up appointments, with different doctors and nurses/staff were ALL rude and standoffish. We never got the answers to our questions pertaining to the injury. Basic questions like: How long would it take to heal? Would it leave a scar? Completely brushed off. Please. Do yourself a favor, and go to some other clinic if you are able to. No one deserves treatment such as this when you're already in pain. We're all humans. Don't go to a place that doesn't treat you like one. Even a public hospital would do better.

Service at a reputable, private hospital that charges premium is sadly below expectations. I was admitted for a day surgery on my foot. Each time for assistance, the button has to be pressed 3 times before I’m attended to. I have to even risk falling to go to the toilet myself when no one came to my aid after more 3 times on the same “press for assistance” button. I’m glad I chose not to stay a night. Even till to-date I can’t get any assistance for my fully paid bill! Maybe I should not have paid fully to get some help.

Definitely, I don’t recommend this hospital. I went to the emergency today with my child and he has been attended at a kind of outside area of the hospital because he had fever, explaining that it was a protocol due to covid. They kept him there for all the consultation even after they have performed covid test on him. He was complaining about stomachache , so anything that justify this kind of isolation. After a fast examination the doctor said he had an infection and should treat at home, but didn’t request a more detailed test to identify weather it would be caused by any bacteria of something like that. I will never go there again!!! Despicable service!!!

I got to the A&E early yesterday morning because I was feeling badly after returning from Bali the night before and wanted to rule out COVID ASAP. There was only one other patient besides me when I came in, so I was hopeful it would be a quick one. But I should’ve known better. After manually filling forms, surrendering my IC to them, also declining to manually type in my credit card details into a separate form (what kind of archaic process is this??) I was ushered into a cow shed located outside the hospital - am assuming it’s a makeshift pop-up “dorm” for patients suspected with COVID. Nurse took my temp (no fever) and BP, then I was asked to wait. After some time, I asked the nurse to “swab” me. Negative. Great. Since that’s really all I wanted. But I had to wait for the doctor to clear me, so I waited again. When the Dr finally came to see me, he said he suspected I had a viral infection. But he could not see any inflammation in my throat which doesn’t really explain why my throat so painful and scratchy? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Later, I was given 2 bottles of antiseptic mouthwash, some Ibuprofen, a throat spray and sent home. The bill was emailed to me (because I didn’t give them my credit card details and they couldn’t process the payment straightaway). The BILL was the most ludicrous part of this entire form filling, cow shed waiting, zero diagnosis process. The total cost came up to almost $340, which included a hefty $150 doctor’s consultation fee (I might feel better about this if I was charged a pro-rated fee based on the actual time spent in “consultation”, actually) + a separate $43 nursing fee, + $33 for the ART, + $70 for meds that I could’ve easily bought from any pharmacy but wasn’t really given a choice to do so AND - - - a $13 “A&E Infection Fee” (what is this??) AND a “kidney dish” for $0.60 (do all patients have to “buy” their own kidney dish when they visit a hospita!, but don’t get to take it home with them?) I’m taking the time to write this review because I feel like I was just taken for a really good ride. $340 for a below par experience, being charged for what?? is ridiculous. If my throat wasn’t so painful and I wasn’t so anxious about getting COVID ruled out at 7am in the morning, I would have waited a bit longer to get the same experience (maybe a better one) at any GP or polyclinic near me. But I’ve learned my lesson.

Customer service of the hospital are close to non-existent. Lacks professionalism and empathy to the extent of being on a power trip when you’re tired of explaining the matters, and obviously helpless when said personnel insisted that it’s done this way instead of what we were trying to say despite having all sufficient documents and bills from both the clinic and our insurance. Went on to be condescending towards us by saying “no no no if you’ve no private coverage then it’s a no no to come here.” Even though we have insurance coverage and it’s claimable. Sure, not a full 100% but doesn’t 70% counts for something? It isn’t as if we chose this hospital without any insurance coverage. And it isn’t as if we expect to not pay a single cent when we did in fact prepare the 30% payment as confirmed by both our clinic and insurance agent. Only that this particular service staff kept insisting we pay 100%. And when we clearly couldn’t, (do you carry tons of cash around or have card limit set in the mid 100k range?) ridicule us. Then she went on to play the waiting game by saying we will have to speak to an officer about this, to see if an exception can be made for us, because you know, that’s not how they usually do things. Only to call us back after some time to process the billing with no further acknowledgement, as if we didn’t have had any conversation prior; please note that we didn’t speak to any officer nor was she seen speaking to anyone else - she was handling other customers all this time. Right from the start we know that we only have to pay the 30% and leave with our family member who has just been discharged, but this personnel was making things difficult for us and for god knows what reason, made such unnecessary derogatory remarks here and there, as if we are begging for free treatment. Like lady, please be kind and do better. This is a hospital, not a high end luxury shop. People come here for treatment not pleasure. And we all are wanting to leave and bring our family members back home after payment, not try to scam the system for free treatment. There’s no reason to doubt our words either or be skeptical as if we are trying to hard sell you insurance. The customer service of the hospital really leaves much to be desired. It kind of explains the need for signs placed all over the counters along the lines of “violence or aggression towards our staffs are not tolerated” and the irony or the best part of it? It also says “treat our staffs how you would like to be treated”. It’s ONLY one sided apparently. Private clinics based there however, their customer service, are splendid. You wouldn’t be finding any of those signs on their counters.

I wanted to take the time to thank you again Dr Julian Wong from The Vascular and Endovascular Clinic and Gleneagles Hospital for everything you did for me during my recent surgery. The nurses on the 10th floor, operating room and the one who sent me there, you guys are amazing.Thank you so much for taking such good care of me. I appreciate all the time and effort into making sure I felt as little pain and easy as possible, to keeping my spirits up and for giving me a safe and pleasant surgery experience.  I am happy to report that all went very well. My gratitude is limitless! I am comforted to know that I was in your hands. I was super terrified as this is my second surgery ever.. but it’s all behind me now. Thank you. Will for sure post in all my social media and spread the word for the excellent service- post COVID times.

Very bad services from Ayu at the reception. Yes we came late for the maternity tour, but she didn’t even bother to explain their packages since we are already here, and hinting us to leave. Wasted our effort to come all the way here. Do not recommend given it is a private hospital but lousy services.

Very very disappointed with the service and its quite shocking how its a private hospital. My friend was warded after a major surgery in the general ward and had difficulty with mobility. However, she was not sponged for 3 days and also her bed was not changed. Its absolutely shocking how there's a lack of initiative and no sense of hygiene, in terms of cleaning the patient's back wounds aft the surgery. What if she gets an infection from the lack of cleaning her wounds? Not sure whether the money is worth it and definitely I will think twice about getting any of my close ones being warded here again. Please establish better protocols to ensure that nurses are doing their jobs well.

Overall nice experience here. Check in and check out was fast. However, if you check out at peak hour, there will be some wait. It’s still faster than Parkway East as there’s more than 2 counters. The ward and room goes by name instead of number so it can be a little difficult to locate. Service from doctor and nurses are good. Food menu selection is good and food is tasty too. 2 bedded room is more spacious than Mount Elizabeth. However, they also do not provide headphone unlike Parkway East. So expect noise from your neighbour’s TV. Plus point is plenty of parking spaces.

This was by far my best experience as an inpatient at a hospital, from admission to the doctors, nursing staff, coffee ladies, cleaning staff, everyone is professional, caring and compassionate. What was potentially a stressful time was made into a smooth experience. Special thank you to Dr Timothy Lim and Dr Germaine Xu, their teams, and all staff at St Clare Ward for being amazing!

Very bad experience with Dr. Vivian Lim..Firstly I went to raffles clinic. They took my 1st blood test and told me that I did not rest well before they took the test. I went again to give the same test after resting for 30 minutes.. I had to pay again to repeat the test. From raffles I was suggested to go to Dr. Vivian. She made me repeat the test again.. For the 1st consultation and blood test, I paid 600$, the receptionist said I had to pay in advance. So I paid everything. I was called to collect my report and meet the doc. Everything was normal this time and the doc said she sent to 2 different labs for verification and both showed normal. Not sure why will each lab show different results.. I had to pay for both..After collecting the report I was asked to pay 120 $ again. The reason being this is a follow up consultation.. Why should I pay for this? After collecting the report I have to meet the doc and why is that considered as second consultation? That is something basic right?? The receptionist asked me to get the report mailed and not to meet the doc next time. This was not informed prior.. I can directly go to a lab and get things done instead of going to a hospital like this... Very bad experience..

Old design, room sound proofing especially poor, probably due to long build history. I’m staying in a single-bedder room. Doctors and nurses are great. Unless your dedicated doctor uses this hospital or maybe because of whatsoever reason or maybe rusty feeling is preferred. I propose not to choose this hospital. I was here due to my doctor and it’s nearer to my house. Oh, I waited 2 hours for medicine during discharge and I’m rushing for an appt.

Really bad Attitude , rough handling even when patient complained giddy, takes a very long time to answer callbell, have the audacity to ask via intercom instead of attending personally. NO wish to stay a second longer to make sure patient has settled!!! Patronizing voice, insincere. Lots of fake smile .... Utterly Unprofessional the lot of them!!!!

Brought my daughter to A&E on a Sunday due to high fever for 4 days. After basic check up by the nurse, she said the GP doctor on call questioned why I was bringing her in due to fever “only for a few days”, and insisted they page in our paediatrician (whose clinic is in the next door medical center - but closed until Tuesday due to PH) without even looking at my daughter to see if her conditions warranted a page (which would probably earn them a lot more money). The receptionist was visibly unwell and unclear on how to direct patients to pick up prescriptions so we ended up walking around the premise for no reason. The whole time we never knew what we were waiting for even though overall the wait time was not long. Those who’ve been here would know the facilities and everything is due for an upgrade if not overhaul - apparently their services are too. To be fair their doorman was delightfully helpful but everything else was a disappointment. Would not recommend bringing your kids here.

not recommended. Doctor was not professional at all, even though he is quite middle aged and expected to be more experienced. The staffs that assisted with the measuring of height and weight, blood pressure were nice and friendly (thus the 2 stars given). Would def not recommend this hospital in general and suggest to go to other hospitals for a better experience.

Not impressed by the service. Had a day surgery and the nurses had different versions of whether should I take any painkillers or not when my doctor already informed them. Nurses should learn to be proactive and give specific instructions to patients who are in great pain and help them through rather than just standing there and expect patients to sit up/ move to the side on their own

The Executive Health Screening division has some unprofessional doctors who don’t understand that they should respect the patients, not scolding them or judging patients by the patients’ race or country of origin. If your insurance covers other health screening providers, avoid Gleneagles at all cost.

Just delivered here on 27 June and would like to complain a staff which is the afternoon shift OIC of labour ward. Very unprofessional. She ask me whether I taking epidural and I said I have TENS machine then she obviously don’t what’s TEN Machine her looks gave it Iike I don’t care and ask what is my pain threshold? Like I have a measurement for it. What kind of question is that? So unprofessional. Doctor check me on how many dilate she say I know doctor just came but I would like to check. Every check is painful and after that I ask to go toilet and went then my CGT monitoring moves and not connecting awhile as it was wireless, it’s normal then she came and say I need to check u again as the CGT no movement. I just chased her out and ask her to never ever step in my room and I don’t want to see her.

I would not recommend this hospital. My dad was hospitalised for about 1 month in their single room, and developed Stage 3 - 4 bedsore on his second week there even though the nurses were supposed to clean my dad every single day. Granted that it was Covid period when my dad was hospitalised, I highly doubt the capability of the team. While the nursing team was courteous and kind, the actual nursing service that was provided to my dad was way below par.

I see a lot of people complaining about this hospital and it is all true. They don't care about you, most of the staff are just as rude as possible. If Singapore wants to keep its position as a global city they should be thinking about better training those people that work at Healthcare...it is a shame. Aside of the rudeness which you can just stand as there isn't another option they need to work on how to better manage capacity, which for sure poorly managed as you just need to complain and you get to see a doctor. Facilities are a disgrace for such expensive particular place...and nurses and staff oh my they need training like a lot on who is the customer. No one will respond or it will be a genéric "we would like to hear more..." but those companies need to understand that the customer is in charge and that the staff is not doing this as a favor...another bad experience in a Singapore hospital.

Had a lovely experience at gleneagles in the Paediatric department, as good as one can hope for given the circumstances... Nurses were attentive and often would appear within a few seconds of pressing the call bell. The food was decent, surprisingly tasty... The cleaning staff were excellent... Rooms were very spacious and facilities very clean, much cleaner than other hospitals I had visited in Singapore! Thanks to the staff for making our stay as pleasant as possible whilst my daughter recovered.

Stayed for a night in the Executive Suite and were treated with care by the nurses and butlers. The room is well equipped and clean, very pleasant stay overall. Less 2 stars for the narrow and limited space carpark, and for the price of the ward being slightly more expensive than other hospital with the similar standards.

My family frequent this hospital often over the years. But this 2024 Idk why the hospital is very understaffed. One of my family member was admitted for ercp and can’t get any bed. Then we finally got dayward, but they charged me for $8000+ just for the dayward. I don’t even understand why you need to collect 8000+ when per hour rates is around 100 ish. Because last year with ercp also they collected around $2000. The doctor is still good don’t get me wrong. But communication on handling patients are very lacking and also with that kind of price?! They kept you very long waiting for confirmation. After the ercp they didn’t even know what to do with the patient and would loudly quarrels on their own. I need to call the doctor myself with my phone to faster connect them with the doctor. Please better your service and give us details on your billing upfront. Because from my experience, I’m certainly gonna consider to just move to another hospital for a better asisstance.

This hospital has great outpatient clinics. Since this hospital is very crowded, you’ve got to make sure to set up an appointment prior to your visit. Appointments can be made up from several weeks to several months in advance. The building is a bit old in construction but still well maintained. They have great food court at the ground level but in badly need of more seats. The most professional hospital brand, but it means the cost is not cheap also; this is a very expensive hospital; they have good doctors but you’ve got to pay for it. The hospital has good site, but parking is a big headache and isn't cheap either.

I would recommend Dr. Fong Kee Siew for bilateral lower eyelid surgery. She is very patience and skillful, and I was referred to her by Dr. Chan from Atlas Eye Specialist. For the ward admission, the waiting time to get paperwork completed is longer than expected estimated 30-45 mins while waiting for the room confirmation and in the end didn't get the single bedded room as stated in note due to their priorities. I was given a double-bedded room. Besides the negativity, nurses are quite friendly and accommodating, food was average and served on time. Thank you.

Medical system in Singapore is over rated. Too expensive n not sufficient enough. Especially big hospital like gleneagles you would spend lots of time waiting. If injury is not serious it's better to go to GP near by. Service is also bad. Gernerally no customer service in singapire but big hospitals are the worst. Registering takes ages as they often chat n passing time. The hospital put me in a&e first but there is a long waiting time. So I requested to see specialist directly. No point waiting 1 hr to see GP and another 1 hr with specialist.

Nurses were fast to attend to me whenever I press the call button, most of the nurses also puts on a warm smile and were patient towards me while I was bedridden after surgery. Both aunty that delivers food and cleans my room were very friendly, diligent and constantly encouraged me. Was literally looking forward to see these 2 aunty everyday. (Translated by Google) My 2-year-old son had a fever and went to an emergency hospital early in the morning. First, the scales were inaccurate and weighed three kilograms, which increased the amount and frequency of medications prescribed. I only accompanied my husband, but even if I told him that he was too heavy, he never remeasured it. After that, a pediatrician was in charge of prescribing two types of antipyretics, and when I inquired by phone that I had allergic symptoms that caused my eyes to swell after taking the drug, I was told that I could continue to take it because it was not an allergic symptom. As a result, my son's eyes were further swollen. I was told to stop using it as soon as I went to another hospital. First of all, when I made a complaint to the clinic, the nurse told me to tell the hospital because the hospital and the clinic are managed separately. There are no words of apology. After that, the doctor contacted me to apologize. I don't want to get involved with this hospital anymore. It's painful just to remember when my son was taking medicine and crying and groaning and suffering, and he was cured in 3 days but his allergic reaction opened only half of his eye. How much burden was it on the small body being over-prescribed? My son still can't put into words what he wants to say, and I was really worried when I thought about the burden on the internal organs that did not appear. can not forgive. My son got high fever and brought him to walk-in emergency center. First, the scale was broken so they weight him + 3kg than usual, and then prescribed too much medicine. They prescribed 2 types of fever medicine, and he got light allergy Of one of them after 5 minutes from taking. After that we could find it was because of Ibuprofen and asked doctor whether we should stop. Doctor said "you can continue to use" so he took medicine again. Although his allergy got worse. Then We went to other hospital and doctor said he needs to stop taking medicine. We claimed about what happened but nurse didn't apologize d to us. Then doctor made a phone call to my son and said sorry. Very awful experience. We don' t recommend this hospital. My son got high fever and brought him to walk-in emergency center. Not able to book a maternity tour due to the restriction of COVID 19. Called the hotline, the person asked why is there a need to do the tour... I replied, at least I need to know where to go when I’m on labour. She replied just walk through the main door... What customer service is this, I had only been to Blk A for my gyne appointment, don’t even know where is the main entrance! Understand many hospital had make to a point to let their patients do the tour first and rejected those that are not booked with them. Seem like mount a is not doing anything to help their patient. This round, had not choice but to give birth there... I swear I’m not going to that hospital after this birth!

every seem fine until the bill comes and it is expected to pay at full despite giving a deposit and being told the next payment is weeks later.. and at last day they will give u the child upon full payment. and when u see the bill, they make it sound like its a norm. The only reason i chose this hospital was on the grounds that it was a religious hospital and not welfare of patients. if i had known you were out to glorify details and make a bill so high for a 2 room patient i wonder what it would be like for a single room. If this is the way singapore allows hospitals to delibrately use high charges and delicate moments, you give the wrong impression on the religious group you show at your hospital. that too has medusave included. Your public meals are limited and to pay the bill takes over 30 mins and final blow is to pay in full.

Poor support at the A&E from Staff Nurse Liu. Told my gf to go to KKH as there is no one here to assist despite being told she's pregnant and experiencing unusual pain in her stomach. Worst hospital A&E ever. We have been to Raffles, Parkway, TTSH, SGH and have never been turned away like this.

Great emergency department. Came here very late at night (3am) and received prompt and professional attention. We saw a doctor within 3-4 minutes and had received doctors orders within 7-10. Less than 20 minutes after arriving, we had medicines and were on our way home. Price was fair for the quality, speed, and professionalism of this private hospital. We live across the street from Thomson Medical Centre, but have had terrible experiences there. We’d travel out of our way again to go to Mount Alvernia. It’s worth the trip.

My experience with Mt Alvernia hospital is a smooth and pleasant experience. The nurses are more attentive and the facilities are good enough for me. If you are an in-patient, suggest you bring a jacket along as it can get cold at night due to AC. Otherwise, food is decent and I felt well taken care. Thank you Mount Alvernia team!

I find the nurses in the ward more attentive and caring and have more time for patients than some other private hospitals. 4 bedded ward is surprisingly good as each patient has a corner to himself in a large room. Feel cared for when sick.

Was admitted here a few months back. And after seeing my friend being admitted in NUH. In comparison, they are way more professional. Hence I decided to write a review for them too. Came in to A&E on the 3rd day of CNY. And I can see they were under staff. But the waiting time was about 4hrs before I got admitted. Kudos to their laboratory staff too, for working very quick. As I got my blood drawn and did a urine test, within 2 hrs, you get your result. I was having serve abdominal pain that time, and they were trying to diagnose what is causing it. But couldn't find out and I had to be admitted. The admission was very smooth as told by my mum everything was settled in like 15mins. Staff was very detailed too. Kudos to your staffs for their professional standards and going the extra mile too.

Won’t suggest going to A&E here. Very Unsympathetic staff even that we had 4 year old child being a patient in emergency. In emergency that’s the last thing you need so highly disappointed. Building is worn out along with vending machines they have. Charges are ridiculous and service and facilities are poor.

Was there a weekend ago to accompany my relative who was admitted for 2 nights for observation and diagnostic tests. I must say that I was impressed right from the moment we stepped out from the lift. The staff from concierge, clinic, ward and even food court staff was friendly and helpful. The encounters throughout the 6 hours I spent there was pleasant to say the least. There was no doubt waiting time for admission but the wait was nothing that was inconvenient and inefficient. Commendable efforts put into making the environment and experience as comfortable as possible for patients and visitors. At least it was for us. P.s. There are limited carpark lots hence be prepared to pay extra for valet service unless you are willing and able to wait. Not the cheapest rate too, but it shouldn't come as a surprise too ;-)

A special thank you to Dr. Reuben Wong and all the staff at Level 6 ward, especially Sister Maggie and Bi Cang! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Last Saturday, I was diagnosed with an intestinal virus and admitted due to dehydration and abdominal discomfort. However, I was very fortunate to have crossed paths with so many angels in scrubs. Dr. Reuben of Gutcare was super friendly and professional, he was able to quickly point out the root cause and prescribe me the necessary steps to recovery. The nurses at Level 6 worked round the clock to constantly monitor my vitals and change the IV drips, especially Sister Maggie and Bi Cang who went above and beyond to assist me with my daily movement and cheered me up with their warm personalities. Words are not enough to thank you for your strength, courage, and dedication, especially during these trying times. Being on the frontline isn't easy, and you have my heartfelt appreciation for all that you do. Praying for your safety and protection as you do your job helping others. Once again, thank you, Dr. Reuben, Sister Maggie, Bi Cang, and all the staff who took care of me at Ward 635 this week! You are amazing! ❤️

My doctor was fantastic but the customer service and billing is really bad. I got mail saying I owe $40 but no explanation of why. - their IV drip, they will do a numb injection over the hand like very mini ant bite before putting the IV injection. Literally no pain for the IV drip. - they will put a thin cushion over the arm for the BP monitoring so arm also no pain not tight and skin will not be sensitive - the operating theatre, got heater below the body so your body literally feel very cozy and warm - I woke up to 2 blanket and they keep checking on you Very awesome experience. Win novena mount E for sure. Very satisfied.

Been waiting since 10.30am , post X-ray, for a doctors stamp & note on one of my documents. It’s now 4pm. First I was told on the phone it can be done within the day and I clarified and theysaid it will be couple of hours so I came early. Was expecting to be done by 12 as it’s a super simple check up. Then when I came in, doctor said it will only take 1 hour. Great. Then close to 12, no news yet, so a male nurse said come back at 3pm. I had double checked with him that 3pm I will have everything ready and he kept on saying yes. I came at 3.30pm and they said it’s still not done. The staff were joking with each other, laughing, etc rather than following up on my case. Only after I complained to one of the nurse, he called the other department. I asked him why is it taking this long, that I was told it’s within the day and doctor said only an hour etc and he had the cheek to be all snarky and tell me “well it’s still within the day right?”. I mean… what kind of customer service is this…???? Luckily there were some other lady nurses who came and helped , physically went to the other department and kept me updated while that guy nurse is just sitting there. She told me actually the doctor got roped into an emergency etc and wasn’t able to tend but he will prioritize it now that he’s out. I mean if that guy nurse had explained it properly and done his job then all good. I can totally understand. But not a sarcastic reply like that! Will Never come again!

I had a day surgery at gleneagles yesterday and as usual I was extremely happy with how all the staff from check-in in to nurses preparing for my ward to the operating theatres staff to be extremely friendly and make the entire process pleasant although surgery is never pleasant. The check out night nurse were particularly caring also. I had a very through anesthesiologist who explained every step what he was doing and he calmed my nerves. When we are in surgery under GA it’s important to me that I feel comfortable and feel I am in good hand and i definitely felt so.

Highly Disappointed with Gleneagles Hospital's A&E Review: I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory I feel compelled to share my disappointment to ensure others are aware of the potential issues others may encounter. First and foremost, I strongly advise everyone to thoroughly review the costs associated with seeking treatment at Gleneagles' A&E. It was shocking to discover that a simple visit due to my COVID-19 diagnosis resulted in a bill of $1600. What's even more astonishing is the hospital's claim that I was informed and had signed a form acknowledging these charges. I had no knowledge of these exorbitant costs until weeks later when I received the bill via email. This lack of transparency and subsequent blame-shifting is both ridiculous and unacceptable. Furthermore, the way they handled my symptoms was deeply concerning. Despite clearly expressing difficulty in breathing and the need for further investigation, they dismissed my concerns and solely attributed my condition to a nose block. It is important to note that I never claimed to have a nose block, but rather explained my inability to breathe properly through my nose. This crucial distinction was overlooked, and as a result, I was denied the appropriate medication. It is baffling that a patient's struggles and symptoms were disregarded, especially after undergoing extensive testing and examination by two doctors on that day. To seek an alternative opinion, I visited an older rundown clinic after my disappointing experience at Gleneagles. I shared with the doctor what Gleneagles had told me, that my oxygen level test indicated perfection, but they were unable to determine the cause of my breathing difficulties. To my relief, the GP promptly prescribed nose block medicine, explaining that it was appropriate given my normal test results. Astonishingly, within half an hour of taking the prescribed medication, my nasal passages cleared up significantly, and I experienced a remarkable improvement in my breathing. The most frustrating aspect of my encounter with G A&E was the excessively long and unsatisfactory investigation process. It took nearly two years for me to receive any answers. Every time I provided feedback or sought clarification regarding the bill, I received repetitive responses without any explanation. The lack of accountability and the hospital's failure to address my concerns is deeply disappointing. Only after persistent questioning did they claim to have conducted an investigation. According to their investigation, the reason for subjecting me to numerous tests was that I appeared severely ill, and they wanted to determine the cause of my breathing difficulties. However, their justification for not prescribing the necessary nose block medicine was that I did not explicitly state having a nose block. It is unrealistic and unfair to expect patients to communicate their symptoms with absolute precision, particularly after undergoing multiple tests and assessments. Furthermore, if I appeared so sick that extensive testing was warranted, why did they expect me to leave the hospital and obtain medication from a pharmacy? They even asked me to purchase Panadol and sore throat medication myself, citing stock unavailability. They were the ones who initially claimed I had a fever and sore throat, yet they failed to provide me with the essential medication. This raises serious doubts .To add to my astonishment, they provided me with gargle throat and relaxant pills, completely disregarding the fact that I was struggling to breathe. Fortunately, I followed my mother's warning and refrained from taking them, as it could have had severe consequences. In conclusion, my experience at Gleneagles Hospital's A&E department was deeply disappointing. The lack of transparency regarding costs, the misinterpretation of my symptoms, and the extensive and inadequate investigation process highlight significant flaws in their approach to patient care. I strongly urge others to consider these factors before seeking medical assistance at Gleneagles Hospital.

I was admitted into Gleneagles on the 7th of Jan 2024 night for my left mandibular resection and reconstruction using my right leg fibula bone graft operation that was scheduled on the 8th of Jan 2024 at 0800hrs. It was a 12-hour major operation done by Dr Fan Tai Weng Victor Maxillofacial surgeon and by Plastic surgeon Dr Pek. Operation turned out well and I was placed into ICU for close monitoring on the 9th Jan 2024. Since I was intubated, I woke up at 10pm, but one of the Indian Staff Nurse named Banumathi saw me opening my eyes and told me that operation is over, and you are in ICU. I wanted to pee, so I told her to get me a paper so that I can write on it and show. She went and brought another staff named Ramli to assist me. They gave me a marker and a paper, I wrote on it pampers and was too giddy to continue writing, they just ignored me. This Indian Staff nurse named Banumathi on the 9th of Jan 2024 night shift was busy with work, and she was mumbling in Tamil so much of work to be done, no help also, how to finish work. When I rang the call bell, she just comes after 20mins later and tells me to hang on and leaves.

If I could leave no star or negative star, I would. I arrived at their A&E at 17:45 for an ultrasound scan. Registration and triarch was fine. After 30mins, saw the doctor for initial assessment. I was told the sonographers have all left for the day and they would need to call one back and this would incur additional after hour charge. I waited and finally saw the sonographer around 19:30 and the scan took about 20mins (19:50 by now). I was then told I had to wait again to see the doctor. There was only 1 other patient with 2 doctors and 4-6 nurses/staff on duty but it still took until 20:30 and my complaining about the wait before I could see the doctor again. Over 3 hours just for a ultrasound scan and god knows how much they've charged my insurance company as they never give you the bill. My advice is don't come here if you can avoid it.
