An Open Letter To Dr Sylvia Ramirez: Dear Dr Sylvia, I came to your clinic years ago when I was teen to treat my acne and you encouraged me to undergo a strong chemical peel (VI Peel). After 1st treatment I saw some bad side effects and quickly made an appointment and came to see you. I waited 2 hours in your clinic while the nurses pandered me and told me that you refused to see me because my concerns were not real. When you finally saw me, you assured me that my skin was fine. After my 2nd treatment I developed cystic acne and I was so traumatised that I never saw you again. During this time I developed depression for about 2 years and barely left the house. I saw more than 5 dermatologists after, who all told me my acne was so severe that I had to take Roaccutane. I spent at least 3 times the amount at your clinic to try and recover my skin to how it was before. I’m in my 20s now and till this day, I still struggle with severe acne, acne scars, and not least my confidence. The truth is, looking back, you knew it wasn’t necessary for me to undergo that strong chemical peel. I know this because all the dermatologists I’ve seen after you had my best interest at heart and would tell me when a treatment wasn’t necessary, even thought they would earn a lot more if they hadn’t said anything. I felt like you took advantage of my naïveté to earn more money at the expense of my health and the irreversible physical and psychological damage you have caused me as a teen still shakes me till this day. Meeting you is one of my biggest regrets in life. I hope that you would one day consider placing the well being of your patients above financial gain because no one should have to go through what I went through.

First, they left marks on my skin after botox. Then on the next visit, I tweedle thumbs for an hour waiting to see the doctor for a peel. Finally, they want to reschedule my appointment made 4 months ago.

I am pleased to share a glowing review of Dr Sylvia. She is an expert in her field and I have been taken care of by her since 2016, and have been consistently satisfied. Everyone in the clinic is friendly and seems genuinely interested in what I have been up to since last time. I am happy to pay a premium for treatment at Cutis because of the skill, care and focus on the look I wish to achieve/maintain. They will not over-do you (unless that's what you want) and are not at all pushy. You often have to secure your appointment at least a month in advance, but that a testament to how good they are. A+

Severely damaged skin and confidence. I came here to see Dr Sylvia for very mild acne. I followed her instructions closely but under her supervision, I developed cystic acne, enlarged pores and acne scars all over my face. I have never had so many blackheads before and my skin has become extremely sensitive. This devastates me so much because I’m only 19 and I have loss so much confidence. I’m currently seeing another doctor to treat the damage.

I have been going to Cutis for my regular Botox (and more recently filler) treatments for the past 2-3 years and have nothing to but positive things to say. I have referred a number of friends to the clinic, so I figured it was about time I left a Google review. In fact, I will be repatriating soon and I really do think one of the top things I will miss about Singapore is the lovely Dr. Sylvia and her friendly staff. Prior to finding Cutis, I had been to a couple of other clinics in Singapore and found the lack of transparency around pricing and constant push toward to buy packages or additional services really offputting. Discovering Dr. Sylvia at Cutis was like a breath of fresh air! She really takes the time to listen to your concerns and/or appearance goals and works with you to come up with a plan. She does take a softer, more “natural” approach and she’ll be straight with you (but in a gentle, compassionate way) if she thinks what you are asking for is unnecessary or will look too unnatural. It would be to the benefit of her pocketbook to sell treatments you don’t need or more than what is needed so that you walk out looking like a Kardashian, but I really respect that she places your appearance first. If I had but one negative thing to say, it would be that you have to book well in advance because it can take months to get an appointment. I think this speaks more to just how sought after she is though - and for good reason!

I have been a patience of Cutis Medical Laser Aesthetics for the past decade. They are the best aesthetic by far in Singapore. I would never go anywhere else. JO is the BEST. I’ve been seeing her for facials for 6+ years. I book ahead whenever Im visiting! Between New York, Melbourne, and Singapore, Cutis is the best. The laser Genesis with Dr. S also seems much stronger (in a good way 😉 ) than when you have it at a normal spa with a dermal technician .

She is nice. She recommand number of units you need to do and also give good quality service to you. She do it slow so that you will not feel much pain. Cutis has really transformed my skin. I See both Dr Amoudtha and Dr Sylvia for different treatments. Dr Amoudtha is kind and caring, she will make sure you are comfortable throughout the process. I originally went to Cutis to remove freckles, then Dr Sylvia discovered I had melasma. Dr Sylvia was so patient and understanding throughout my journey. I never felt rushed out. She explained everything. She always responded with an answer that was easy to comprehend and NOT some Dr Linggo mumbo jumbo that baffles the patient even more. The staff have all become a part of my life, some a lot closer. I am recovered now and have slight separation anxiety! I know I will come back for other treatments Bec there is no one I trust more. Dr Sylvia and Cutis really saved me. People ask if I wear makeup, and seriously - it’s just suns-screen!! The only advice I can give is book well in advance! The slots are always booked out. That’s a testament to their skill and craft and how sought after they are in the industry. .

This clinic is a real scam. Dodgy practices and dodgier doctors. Would definitely avoid. No proper COVID practices in place and surfaces aren't even sanitized regularly.

I went to Dr. Sylvia for hyperpigmentation and she took her time to assess my condition, and prescribed the solution/treatment that would be the most effective for my sensitive skin. I'm hyper allergic to hydroquinone - the go-to treatment for hyperpigmentation - so she proposed the VI peel as a work around and I have seen noticeable results. Her staff are also knowledgeable and take the utmost care when dealing with clients. Every session involves pre and post photos to track progress over the course of treatment. I will point out that Dr Sylvia's book is always full and you have to schedule in advance but aside from that, I'd highly recommend them.

Simply the worse Botox treatment I’ve had in 20 years of Botox injections with other clinics all over the world. I have zero reduction of lines. Literally, I look worse after treatment than before. This is the 1st negative comment I have ever posted about a Botox treatment. DO YOU SELF A FAVOUR and go elsewhere. These photos here are 5 days post treatment. Is this the result you expect? I very much doubt it.
