Summary:
-
DO
NOT
bring
your
baby
or
young
children
here.
Just
go
to
other
private
hospitals
24
hours
clinic.
I
will
recommend
Mt
E
Novena
or
Mt
E
Orchard
where
I
get
very
consistent
good
experience
The
GP
here
didn’t
brother
check
on
the
baby,
just
asked
us
to
bring
our
6
month
old
baby
home
and
wait,
after
we
told
him
baby
has
not
drank
milk
and
has
worsening
fever
lasting
5days.
Later,
my
baby
had
been
diagnosed
RSV,
Bacterial
Pneumonia,
dehydration
and
low
oxygen
saturation
level.
I
can’t
imagine
what
will
happened
if
I
have
trusted
the
GP
advice
and
bring
my
baby
home
and
waited…

update:
Dr
that
attended
to
us
is
Dr
Benjamin
Chew.
Wanted
to
write
it
to
be
fair
to
other
GP
at
Thomson
Medical
24hr
clinic
who
may
be
good.
Full
story
as
follow:-
Our
2nd
kid,
a
6month
baby,
is
down
with
fever
for
5
days.
The
fever
has
worsen,
getting
more
lethargic,
only
drink
one
bottle
of
milk
for
around
15-20hours
and
had
barely
any
wet
diapers.
Given
our
experience,
baby
must
be
dehydrated
and
likely
even
bacteria
infection
as
fever
has
worsen.
It
was
sun
evening,
so
no
PD
is
readily
available.
Thus,
we
decided
to
go
to
Thomson
Medical
as
my
baby
was
previously
in
their
NICU
and
was
attended
by
one
of
the
PD
at
the
Pediatric
clinic.
So
we
thought
the
GP
may
do
primary
screening
and
advice
if
we
need
administration
and/or
get
an
on-call
PD.
Once
we
met
the
GP,
the
GP
don’t
even
brother
looking
at
the
baby
and
listen
to
her
lungs.
He
is
dismissive
of
what
we
told
him
even
after
us
raising
our
concerns
twice.
He
said
us
to
go
home
and
wait.
Did
not
even
say
on
what
condition
should
we
bring
baby
to
seek
treatment
again.
After
we
question
again
as
worried
parents,
he
very
unwillingly
say
in
a
very
lazy
tone
“I
can
get
on-call
PD
if
u
want”.
Making
us
sounds
like
unreasonable
customer.
I’ve
lost
trust
in
this
doctor.
I’m
like
is
not
what
I
want,
I
come
here
to
seek
professional
advice
from
you.
My
hubby
then
asked
can
u
check
if
my
daughter
is
dehydrated?
He
unwilling
look
at
my
baby,
said
yes
and
asked
us
feed
her
more.
I’m
like,
how?!
Baby
refused
to
drink
and
how
do
I
force
it
down
her
throat?!
We
gave
up,
pay
the
bill
and
rushed
down
to
the
private
hospital
A&E
down
the
road.
Total
waste
of
our
time.
At
the
next
hospital,
during
triage,
the
nurses
said
likely
she
need
to
be
admitted.
The
doctor
at
24hr
clinic
(also
a
GP)
attended
to
my
baby,
listened
to
baby
lungs
and
check
her
vitals.
Advices
on
admission
and
called
up
PD
for
advice.
Did
all
the
tests
etc
and
got
admitted.
Processes
were
all
smooth
and
comfortable.
In
summary,
my
baby
had
been
infected
with
RSV,
eye
infection,
secondary
bacterial
infection
of
lungs.
Confirmed
dehydration
by
blood
test.
Low
oxygen
saturation
level.
IT
WAS
SERIOUS.
In
my
opinion,
Thomson
GP
is
very
unethical
and
unprofessional.
He
should
have
given
more
sound
professional
advice
with
proper
timeframe
if
he
thinks
we
can
go
home.
something
like
“if
baby
still
not
taking
milk
for
another
12-24hours
with
high
fever
and
no
wet
diaper
please
bring
back
for
treatment”
I
can’t
imagine
what
will
happen
to
my
baby
if
I’m
a
first
time
mum
and
trusted
the
GP
advice
to
go
home
and
waited.
Mind
you,
even
the
nurse
at
the
counter
was
worried
for
us..
I
can’t
get
the
GP
name
as
it
is
not
written
in
the
door
or
the
receipt
of
the
bill.
Bad
practice
and
where
is
the
accountability?
