On public holiday on Sep 1st 2023, there were no many clinics opened. So I visited to this clinic. Due to fever, consulted with GP doctor for around 3 mins. This is first time in Singapore, so i am not sure the culture here but i feel like the consultation is just “Question and Answer session”. I had to answer. i wish the doctor tried to diagnose closely rather than asking patients. Anyways, i paid 228SGD. Sigh… Receptionists were kind. Thanks.

It's a below average service. Nurses can't explain basic concepts, they don't listen properly, you have to repeat yourself several times before they understand what you are asking for, make errors recording information, say they will call you back but never do. Just poor and stressful to deal with them. Better training needed with more switched on personelle as it is a waste of time and money coming here as you only have to go elsewhere to get the information you need.

It took 1 hr to be attended by doctor, having fever, and only 1 person a head of me, so I was quite in pain. The nurses and front desk seems more like paper pusher than anything else, and managed to get the doctor’s instructions wrong and overcharge and unnecessary testing. I just went a head and paid at first, but if it wasn’t for diligence in questioning the charges while sick, I wouldn’t have gotten the refund of 180. Not a terrible place as I got what I needed from doctor. It is at premium pricing compared to neighborhood GP due to it being inside a hospital, but because of the overcharge of 180, I can’t give the 5 star review.

Our queue number was just 4 away. Waiting time was advised as 1 to 1.5H, and that numbers may not be called in sequence. Each consultation averaged 15-20 mins with a gap in between. After 1H15M of patient waiting, we gave up! Thomson should really look into the process and beef up the support. It’s not our first time. We never had it this bad.

Agree with the comment that the doctor doesn't listen to the patient carefully and cancel to consult. Main reason we went to see the doctor is because my child was having fever for more than 48 hours. Then when I mentioned to the doctor that my child's eye had a bit of swelling, and he kept rubbing his eyes, doctor dismissed it, even asked now it's ok right? Like er you're a doctor and you're asking me? And the doctor didn't ask if there's any other symptoms. He was rushing through the consultation and had no patience. The swelling in my child's eye worsened after that and we had to see another GP. Waste of our time and money at Thomson 24hr clinic.

I recently visited Thomson 24-Hour Clinic and had a concerning experience with Dr. Loo han woen. Unfortunately, I found the doctor to be very impatient, which left me feeling dissatisfied with the overall care received. During the consultation, Dr seemed rushed and didn't take the time to thoroughly address my concerns about my baby . This lack of attentiveness made me uncomfortable and diminished the quality of the medical care I expected . I ask doctor is there any ulcer observed for my girl , then he said got ulcer or not also need to take medicine .. what the …at the end of the consultation, he said that my bonjela gel is not good then he will prescribe another one for me .but nurse prescribe bonjela for me over the counter as no stock , then I asked the nurse (Christina) for the medicine name so I can buy from pharmacy before it closed , but the nurse keep said doctor is seeing a patient now and can’t give me the name . I just need the medicine name so that i can buy it as soon before pharmacy close but they just ignore me and keep me waiting ! I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism, and I encourage the clinic to address such concerns to maintain a high standard of patient care.

I came today with my sick daughter on 15/2 at abt 740am and I was attended to almost immediately by the on duty nurse, after ushered by friendly staff at screening centre. The wait time was negligible which was a pleasant surprise due to the current pandemic. I was out of the clinic by 830 am. My daughter consulted Dr Penny Tan who showed empathy and was excellent in her communication skills. She was very clear on what I should look out for in my daughter’s condition. The art done by the nurse was also quick and painless. My daughter was very suprised ans pleased as well. Overall, the whole process was well coordinated and efficient.

I went to this clinic because I hit my head and I felt giddy. I told my feelings to the nurse, the first thing she said was :'' why don't you just go to hospital as we do not have enough equipment to check your head condition" Well, i can totally understand what she said, but i insist i want to see doctor see if i really need to go hospital. The nurse's face was like "why are you in so much trouble? Why just get out of here?"When i saw the doctor, the doctor said the same thing as the nurse, i should go to the hospital instead of their clinic. Then the doctor only took less than 5 minutes to check my condition.I am really disappointed with this clinic, during this pandemic time, I know I should feel grateful to the doctors and nurses, but this clinic just made me feel how selfish these people are. They don't even want to check my condition and obviously I know they just don't want to bear any responsibility. First time visiting this clinic and definitely will be the last time.

Had a horrible experience at a Sunday. Doctor did not even look up from his PC, 'consultation' took less than 30 seconds and then different medications and antibiotics were prescribed. Not the care you expect from a family clinic. Observed similar experiences of families with young children.

Visited the 24 hour family clinic. Only reason why we went there is because our child was born there. Due to Covid, they install a small container just next to the car park. Now, imagine you have 5 families inside that container, all the children who are sick are crying and wailing. They’re very inefficient as well. The admin staff (not sure if she’s even a nurse?! Seems more like admin staff) - this admin staff does registration, calling patients in to the room and calling another staff from inside the hospital to take meds for patients. Very Unprofessional and the PD who saw your kid only took like 5 mins? Ask yes / No qns then push for blood test and urine test. Blood test I think I saw a parent waited for more than 2 hours. Poor parents and the kid, waiting outside the container in a small area under the hot weather, with car whizzing by, pretty poor arrangement for kids to breathe in those toxic gas. Did I mention how the admin staff seems like a nurse? Yeah she was the one who put on the urinary kit for my kid and the thing got dislodged. My kid urine on the diaper and she asked me do you want to go to the toilet and ask her to pee? Instructing this to a 17 months old kid - which kid can follow instruction to pee as you ask them to?! Now I’m pretty sure she’s not a nurse but just an admin staff, like the whole team of old aunties sitting inside the office transferring paper works to one another just to do billing for customers and booking appointments. I’ll never go back again.

The physician was an old folk, he has tremors already and yet is still allowed to practise. What worst is, he diagnosed me with viral infection and wanted to give antibiotics which I refused. This is totally wrong medical practise.

I came in early Sunday morning on the 21st May after experiencing a lot of discomfort due to a bacterial infection causing severe facial cellulitis. Dr Loo who attended to me was thorough and had an exceptionally good demeanour. At that clinic on a Sunday he was dealing with all sorts of cases and with each one he was professional, thorough and considerate. The three nurses who attended to me during different times which included taking my blood pressure, taking my blood tests and administering medication were all wonderful. Truly caring people whom were warm, compassionate and caring. Extremely grateful as a traveller to have been under the care of these staff. I have been at the clinic from 7am until midnight receiving medication and medical attention. I can see how hard the team works with so many cases to attend to. Awaiting my third IV and hopeful I can return home. Part 2 My situation escalated and I was admitted in. My initial consult was handled by Dr Xue who was prompt to assist me and Nurse Tiffany who recognised me from her prior shift. I was promptly admitted and ENT Specialist Dr Lau and Nurse Felicia and team had a comprehensive assessment done including blood work and CT scan. All the attending medical staff are friendly, approachable and have an excellent demeanour ensuring, I was well informed, updated and felt comfortable. After my rounds of IV antibiotics and monitoring of my vitals, I was finally clear to go. The team here are truly wonderful people who go the extra mile to ensure patient comfort and care and prioritised to the highest degree. I cannot thank you enough to the team at Thomson Medical Centre for their care and ensuring my path to recovery.

Update as at 27 Oct: Despite asking for my contact details, have not heard from TMC. Wonder why asked to provide contact details in the first place. Went for a SASH. Terrible experience. First, waiting time was terrible. Was placed at a waiting area without any end in sight. No updates as to when will be next. Was told by staff will receive a phone call to go in the testing area but after a long wait, was told by a fellow visitor had to wait directly outside the testing area as first come first serve. Second, waiting area was small and cramped. Due to long waiting time in the cramped area, highly dangerous as may infect others or others may infect you. After all, those who go for SASH have symptoms that's why ended up there. Lastly, carpark was terrible. Small and cramped area as well with only valet service provided. Car came back super dirty (see photo). As far as possible, will avoid going back again.

Despite waiting for more than 1.5 hours at the temporary area for patients with fever, the nurse (Swabber) who attended to my daughter today at 3:40pm for the swab test was very professional. She was extremely good in handling children (age below 6 years old) and managed the situation very well! Unfortunately, I didnt get her name while rushing my daughter home immediately after the test. Sincere thank you for your gentle & excellent care today!

I have great experience starting from calling to schedule my COVID-19 test. The nurse, Ms Kim was excellent in explaining procedures over the phone. As soon as I arrived, she recognized that I called to get test. Her friendly smile and efficiencies saved me time. Also, she draw my blood for antibody test which I also requested. Her skill in drawing my blood is the best that I ever had. Wow! What an experience! Staff are also helpful too.

Brought my daughter to the clinic on July 1st for a minor injury. We were attended by Dr Krishna Prasad (sorry, doc not sure how to spell your name). I must say, he is the best doctor that has ever attended to us at this clinic. Professional with very reassuring manners. Managed to assure my daughter. He thoroughly examined and treated her wound. Zero signs of impatience. And somehow managed to make my daughter laugh even through a painful injection. I'm so glad he attended to us that day. Great job, doc! 5☆☆☆☆☆👍😁

I am starting holding my newborn but none of the nurses at the table are all busy serving everyone that arrives after me. And once everyone is done then the nurse left the registration point. Its take even longer and my newborn is crying. It's a private where we pay more and should the service be better?

Receptionist very helpful. Get drink for my friend to take tablet. But the malay security guy in green t shirt upset me and the patient in front of me. He has a stern face without smile. My friend was a thai who did not have a token. The way he helped customers, made me very upset. The form was not easy to understand. After we filled the response was a red light result. His tone of voice is like a prison guard, not a 5 star hospital. "Dont raise your voice". I agree i was anxious, but i expected empathy, helpfulness, not a prison guard fierce tone in a 5 star service medical centre. We pay $100-$200 for the visit. Pls replace the guard from front door duties. I do not think his temper is suitable for customer facing responsibilities. To verify, pls ask the patient 8827 in front of me that night. The receptionist agreed the form was hard to understand.

After handing over our information, we spent 10-15min waiting in the tentage to carry out pre admission covid swab test. The nurse at the reception then left the tentage. Nobody called us. We went into backroom n found another nurse there ready to take the swab for us. There doesn't seem to be a system in place for a speedy processing of patients.

Summary: - DO NOT bring your baby or young children here. Just go to other private hospitals 24 hours clinic. I will recommend Mt E Novena or Mt E Orchard where I get very consistent good experience The GP here didn’t brother check on the baby, just asked us to bring our 6 month old baby home and wait, after we told him baby has not drank milk and has worsening fever lasting 5days. Later, my baby had been diagnosed RSV, Bacterial Pneumonia, dehydration and low oxygen saturation level. I can’t imagine what will happened if I have trusted the GP advice and bring my baby home and waited… + update: Dr that attended to us is Dr Benjamin Chew. Wanted to write it to be fair to other GP at Thomson Medical 24hr clinic who may be good. Full story as follow:- Our 2nd kid, a 6month baby, is down with fever for 5 days. The fever has worsen, getting more lethargic, only drink one bottle of milk for around 15-20hours and had barely any wet diapers. Given our experience, baby must be dehydrated and likely even bacteria infection as fever has worsen. It was sun evening, so no PD is readily available. Thus, we decided to go to Thomson Medical as my baby was previously in their NICU and was attended by one of the PD at the Pediatric clinic. So we thought the GP may do primary screening and advice if we need administration and/or get an on-call PD. Once we met the GP, the GP don’t even brother looking at the baby and listen to her lungs. He is dismissive of what we told him even after us raising our concerns twice. He said us to go home and wait. Did not even say on what condition should we bring baby to seek treatment again. After we question again as worried parents, he very unwillingly say in a very lazy tone “I can get on-call PD if u want”. Making us sounds like unreasonable customer. I’ve lost trust in this doctor. I’m like is not what I want, I come here to seek professional advice from you. My hubby then asked can u check if my daughter is dehydrated? He unwilling look at my baby, said yes and asked us feed her more. I’m like, how?! Baby refused to drink and how do I force it down her throat?! We gave up, pay the bill and rushed down to the private hospital A&E down the road. Total waste of our time. At the next hospital, during triage, the nurses said likely she need to be admitted. The doctor at 24hr clinic (also a GP) attended to my baby, listened to baby lungs and check her vitals. Advices on admission and called up PD for advice. Did all the tests etc and got admitted. Processes were all smooth and comfortable. In summary, my baby had been infected with RSV, eye infection, secondary bacterial infection of lungs. Confirmed dehydration by blood test. Low oxygen saturation level. IT WAS SERIOUS. In my opinion, Thomson GP is very unethical and unprofessional. He should have given more sound professional advice with proper timeframe if he thinks we can go home. something like “if baby still not taking milk for another 12-24hours with high fever and no wet diaper please bring back for treatment” I can’t imagine what will happen to my baby if I’m a first time mum and trusted the GP advice to go home and waited. Mind you, even the nurse at the counter was worried for us.. I can’t get the GP name as it is not written in the door or the receipt of the bill. Bad practice and where is the accountability?
