The membership fees I paid is for all access for 4 clubs. Then pure decided to closed down the outlet at ocean financial Center. But I’m still being charged the same fee. Today, they decided to close down suntec outlet. So from 4 clubs access down to 2 clubs but I’m still paying the same fee. It’s totally unfair for us. The price of the membership fee should reduce by 50%!

They closed a branch at ocean financial centre and Asia square became the only branch at Raffles Place. As a result, super crowded. Had to squeeze like sardines at the sauna and because of the frequent usage and large number of patrons, it stinks. No compensation made to the customers for those locked in contract even though quality of service and number of options have dropped overall. During evening, ran out of towels and exercise attires. Used to be worth the premium over other Brands but not now. The branch at Suntec City also became noticeably more crowded. Often have to wait for equipment at both branches. Don’t even dare to visit Takashimaya at this rate. Hopefully they will open one more outlet at CBD area or drop their rates. Contacted customer service 3 times about contract changes and no reply. So not recommended. Head somewhere else pls. Their contracts and customer service are really bad. Don’t bother signing up with them. Can see that they are money grab. Desperate need for cash flow. Beware.

I had my first session at Pure Fitness Asia Square today (7 September 2023). My personal trainer, Hafiz, guided me well with the exercises. The group classes are very simple to understand, and the instructors are patient. Another personal trainer, Vanessa, smiles at me every time I am at the gym. The atmosphere is very hype. My customer service representative, Ruby, is attentive to my needs and clarifies my doubts quickly. I would highly recommend it!

Just a warning for others, it took +3 months to cancel my membership. I chose not to be on a fixed 1 or 2 year contract, to give me flexibility to cancel anytime, and I was okay to pay the highest monthly rate which was around 30% more. I initiated my cancellation mid-June, and was redirected to +5 ppl to delay the cancellation process (e.g. pls email this person, wait a few days for a response, I get a WhatsApp msg "are you sure you would like to cancel?", yes confirmed, okay, wait a few days, I get a call again to persuade me to stay, then I need to email this other person, wait a few days, email gets forwarded to multiple departments.) So almost 3 weeks later, they confirm the cancellation, but they tell me I've passed the cut off point to cancel my direct debit by a few days, so they charged another month. Then they remind me that when I first joined, I already paid the first and last month of my membership, so they obviously will not refund that, and my membership will need to extend another month. (I didn't realise at the time of joining this was a tactic to keep you on a bit longer when you try to cancel - so just take note of this!) Then, with the mini lockdown, the gym was closed for 4 weeks (understandably, this part is not their fault) but they would not consider sticking to the original end date and refund me the difference; they just extended my end date by another 4 weeks. My membership finally ended on Sept 28th. I don't necessarily blame the staff, this is just a company-wide adopted approach to delay ending all memberships. On a plus note, the instructors are great here, and I will miss the classes.

I rarely use the gym anymore since the OFC location (which I originally signed up at) closed down. All the other locations are out of the way - they add a 10-15 minute commute time over the original location which might not seem like much, but there are similar or better gyms which don't add, or even reduce, commuting time. The last minute notice about the closing down of the OFC location was NOT appreciated, nor was the withholding of a sizeable chunk of the PT fees I had paid the week prior to the announcement (I had signed up for PT with the expectation to go for sessions at OFC). Most of the gym staff and managers are nice but I do not care for the VERY entitled and VERY greedy attitude of upper management which show little to no respect for both gym goers and their own staff. When dealing with the issue above in March, I was threatened in a very kind and polite manner (but make no mistake, it was very clearly a threat) with "legal action" if I were to pursue a full refund when I tried to negotiate the refund of my PT fees. This is echoed by the years of Google reviews on your locations that it's all good until one runs into money/billing-related issues and has to deal with upper management. Get your shoiiitty upper management to pull their heads out of their arses.

Total scam of a company. When I had signed up for a 2 year membership for the Suntec outlet I had paid upfront as the membership consultant promised me a discount. I did question him how long the lease for the gym was and if they would move away and he assured me this would not happen. I had emailed the club several times with no response. I also went to their front desk and asked but again no proper replies just saying they would call me back. I am now considering a class action given this poor behaviour. You can't just scam customers of their hard earned dollars. This needs to be brought to Singapore's consumer watch dog. If they atleast responded in a proper manner I would have had some respect but this is not the way to treat customers.

UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE: This is a lie. I spoke to the sales staff but they were unwilling to adjust my package despite the closure of Suntec (and OUE). I had a multiple location package but they were unwilling to reduce to single outlet package. _______ Had been a loyal customer for a few years but terminated recently. Initially signed up for 4 outlets, reduced to 2. No compensation whatsoever and the attitude of the employees is ridiculous. In stead of compensation they asked me to pay upfront 4K+ for another 2year contract which is even more than the initial amount I signed up for. Have communicated this via email and personally with one of the managers which gave as response that they have a backlog 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️ Do not sign up!

BEWARE! If you prepaid in advance you might get charged again without being notified! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I paid up in advance but found out I got double charged TWICE, without being informed or receiving any invoice, until I checked my credit card statement. I am not sure if this was unintentional or purely dishonest act. I did not get an explanation from the team, despite I requested for a call back, they didn't even have the courtesy to do so!! It was a very poor handling and disastrous customer experience as they kept denying I paid up till the end of the year and I had to provide all the receipts. The CS team tried to make me accept the over-charging as the upcoming months' fee and refused to refund, but I did not accept their proposal. They reluctantly processed the refund and told me to wait long(for weeks) since I didn't agree with their suggestion. That was a horrible handling. I did not intend to continue once my contract is up and they gladly terminated my contract. Guess they really don't care. Not apologetic, no service recovery, no retention effort. They have good equipments, classes and the gym is spacious. But their locations are not the best. Especially after they closed down OFC branch (the most convenient location), all-club members only have 3 clubs to go and it's crowded, no discount to the membership and they did not allow members to terminate if still within contract, even though it is their fault to reduce from 4 to 3 clubs. Overall, I joined Pure because it felt like a premium brand, but the customer service is really sub par, especially after the double charging incident happened, so I won't stay and recommend to friends. I would suggest you re-consider other options as well, for the monthly fee that you would be paying for Pure there are a lot of options with better locations and facilities like swimming pools. ALWAYS check your bills and credit card statements to make sure no double/over-charged from them.

Really awful service from sales people. My friend who I referred to the same sales man holds the exactly idea that their service is beyond imagination: 1. No reply in WhatsApp. 2. Delay sending the invoices every month. 3. Very unprofessional when explaining the upgrading/transferring / cancelling policy. - Horrible policy and communication. I ask for an upgrade to get access to 4 stores, which will naturally cost me additional 27 sgd per month. However, to my surprise, they ask me for 214SGD upgrading transaction fee and if I only want to update the current package for the rest 4 months( not to extend to another 12 month), I have to pay another 214SGD. I thought to myself are PURE at such a desperate stage, it’s just like robbing! - During COVID when we cannot join the GYM for months and asked for a termination, the salesman just said no, they don’t accept the termination, only on the condition that the expat is relocated again or can not work out due to medical reasons. And every time I ask for the policy and seek for help, the salesman just delay delay delay as if they don’t expect us to extend for another 1-2 years. I just don’t get it how the management team in PURE thinks on such Low service level which could not be associated with The brand. It’s incredibly unacceptable and our friends won’t consider extending the contract !!!!!!!!!

Most spacious gym since I joined in 2016. However has been rather mismanaged especially over the past year or so since closing ocean financial centre and the Suntec branch. Seems the management is unable to handle the combination of the crowd that’s spilling in from Suntec gym which had 3 extra group fitness studios. Right now it’s one cycling studio and one group studio with nightly waitlist of 20+ people even if u book 4 days ahead. Gym floor is now also extremely cluttered with haphazardly placed machines that eats into existing space. Agree also with other comments that due to cost cutting, the number of sanitizing wipes/solution stations are so sparse now and you have to walk half the gym floor just to get to a sanitizing station. Very disappointed in the sharp fall of quality.

Poor handling post CB with little awareness for customer service. We appreciate how difficult it is for gyms but it is so badly handled, systems are ridiculously and bottom line is that there is a clear breach in terms of levels of service (pre Vs post CB) and yet Pure isn't allowing suspensions.

Just started to come to this fitness studio in September and I love the atmosphere here. Feel relaxing while doing my stretching and strengthening. Even after my workout, I love to idle at the place before going back or having Noods food here. The counter staff, Sheau Qing and Veronica always putting on smiling faces which let you feel welcome. They are helpful and attentive to your needs. The housekeepers are friendly. They keep the place clean and tidy. The bathing area and changing rooms are clean. A good place for exercise and relax.

Terrible customer service and management. Had a 2 year contract for Suntec gym only as I work there. Half way through the contract, Pure Suntec closed. With no approval, my membership had been transferred to the other locations with no compensation. As these locations are inconvenient to get to, I asked for a reimbursement however Pure is refusing any form of compensation. I have attempted to contact Pure 3x times via email with no response to any of them. To make it even worst, my only option to get out of the contract is to pay even more money (over $200) to transfer it to someone else. This company seems to be all about the money with no respect to their customers. Would never recommend this gym to anyone.

Top-notch facilities, unbeatable location and amazing views. Vast range of equipment that is well-maintained, and I love LOVE the spacious steam room, sauna and showers to wind down after a long day. Everyone is super friendly, from the friendly front desk team greeting regulars by their names to the cleaning lady Badariah who always has a smile on her face and ever so prompt to help out! Kudos to trainer Titus whose boxing skills are unparalleled, and the Nood food staff who always remembers regular orders. With its world class facilities, this is only gym I'd recommend in the CBD. Pure excellence indeed! (Gains guaranteed)

Easy location for CBD workers. They also have a Ngee ann city branch. The all gyms including yoga package is well-worth it if you like a varied routine. They also have a boxing area. It’s a big space. Good gym. They also sell food - salads, protein shakes, protein bars etc. Free wifi. Free clothing provided including socks to use at the gym. They also provide complimentary apples. Makes working out easy! All you got to not forget to bring along is yourself and your shoes.

This is not the most clean gym around. Worse of all, management decided to remove away the disinfectant spray, hand sanitizers and wipe down cloths from the public gym area. They only place these things INSIDE 2 studios. So if there is a class ongoing, people using the gym area will not have any sanitizing equipment to wipe down the dirty gym equipments covered with dried up sweat. Management pls exercise some common sense and place at least 1 or 2 sanitization trolleys at the public gym area. This is not the way to cut cost especially when it’s basic hygiene and cleanliness involved.

It was blind luck that this Pure Fitness location was right next to my hotel during my stay in Singapore. Even though Westin had a more than decent gym on site, I ended up using that hotel gym just once and I worked out four times at Pure instead. Pure was surprisingly large in a space-restrained city like Singapore. The cardio area was well equipped and had a variety of equipment. The weight area had all the usual benches and plenty of plates. Pure had more than its fair share of strength training machines as well. I do not usually participate in group exercise but I did at Pure with my companion as it was her favourite class. The instructor was energetic and she led a great workout session. Given the fact that I went there four times (five actually since I worked out twice on one day) during one trip, it would be an understatement to say that I liked the gym. I wish my gym back home was that nice!

Impressed with how well the gym is laid-out and organised. 1) All equipments are clean and in-tact 2) lighting lux levels and colour temperature in workout area is comfortable for the eyes; stretching area was a tad darker for cooling-down - well thought out 3) free-weights are all arranged in their intended order 4) comprehensive fitness equipments and machines for all sports conditioning or body-building (e.g. kick-boxing area, resistance-band area, calisthenics area, etc) 5) clean, chlorine-smell free, spacious and elegantly designed locker rooms! 6) shirts, shorts, socks, bathing towel, workout towel, refreshing lime infused aromatic wet towels, biodegradable storage plastic bags, shaving cream, disposable shaver provided 7) hotel lobby vibes upon entering gym from lift 8) fruits and smoothie bar available for post-workout chillaxing. I highly recommend this gym, so far should be the best you can find in Singapore i think.. As of 2018 August 16th: Approx: SGD4,500.00 for 24months (paid upfront, 1 gym) SGD3,200.00 for 18months (paid upfront,1 gym) SGD212.93 for 12months for all 3 branches (paid monthly with a $200 something .. joining fee which can be waived if you are referred by an existing member)

A good collection of equipment, in one of the poorest managed gyms I've used in 20 years. If you want to see a bunch of finance people sitting on fitness kit whilst staring into their phones, this is the place for you. If you ask them to work in, or share, they mostly refuse to move, saying they'll be done in a while, and if you raise the lack of gym etiquette with management, they say they don't like to upset people.

I cancelled my membership in February as they wanted to charge me $50 SGD per month to suspend the gym membership during circuit breaker. 2 weeks ago they charged my card close to $500 with no explanation or apology. Only today they mentioned they would refund the card in the next 4-6 weeks. The gym is okay but terrible customer service, wouldn't recommend. Fitness First cheaper and better service.

HI Pure team - it seems this might be the only way after waiting for 7 weeks with emails, whatsapp and speaking to your front team to get your attention. I am pure member since 2008; ive always spoken everything good about PURE, but i have paid for 8 outlets in Singapore, and you have closed 4 ever since. You have not extended my membership or returned the money for the deficit of 4 outlets. However I am still paying for 8 outlets as my membership is 24 +4 months. I have even Msg your staff Firdaus to follow up - i have been ignored fully, not even a msg return. Your email system - I have been always told there is many emails to reply. I am a business owner, if my clients whom have paid me do not get a reply in 48 hours , the next business is gone and their lawyers would be coming after me. I am not interested to hear excuses as I have waited 7 weeks and all i get is service staff ignoring me. if this does not get your attention then, im not sure what will! You have my membership details , and my name is above. Please contact me asap.

Expensive and very impractical. They have a huge boxing ring in the middle of the gym which is very noisy. I think there can be up to 2 trainer + 2 persons doing high intensity boxing inside. You can think of it as having a bar fight next to you and trying to ignore it while you do your sets. And of course not being able to join, which happen to be the fun thing in bar fights. And you may not experience it when you first visit but, oh boy, when it will happen you will know. They should have called the place PURE boxing club And this come from someone who worked hard on himself to ignore with a peaceful inner happiness the power lifter continuously throwing their weight on the floor. But : 1) We are in a gym and I guess that's the correct place to do this 2) I happen to not be deaf for 3 hours when this happen, making me conclude is is not as bad as my main boxing problem. 3) I don't have to resist the urge of jumping in and boxing around with them 4) The foundation of this 43 floors building are shacking and making you feel we all gonna die but I'm sure someone took this into account while building this beautiful building ! Trust in our engineers ! Also back to that boxing ring in the middle. It is taking so much space. Why are they renting the whole floor and stuffing everybody in a corner while the rest of the space is completely under utilized. Why is that we cannot get nice things. And there is some guy running continuously in the corridor as well. Every day of the week. But that one is more like a fun fact !

Value for money with unlimited access to BOTH the gym and yoga classes. Doesn’t hurt to have a great and super helpful consultant helping you through the process. Thanks so much, Kelvin!

Hi, For a premium Gym the bathrooms stink. The team should clean them much more regularly and have the area disinfected much more often

Been a member since 2016, I do enjoy work out right at my office building. The facilities and space are good. Somehow I need to give true comment in order to help this place to maintain high quality in both hardware and service. Recent close down of few outlets has making ASQ venue overcrowded. We also found out the workout costumes, socks and towers’s quality are deteriorating. Steam room not working frequently… members are not disciplined (untidy) in many manners especially in changing/shower rooms. Paying first class membership fee, we deserve a better environment and service.
