👍👍 Shout-out to coach Landy Mao in the MobBuild class. She has been paying attention making sure I activate the proper muscle group since I have issue with my shoulder. She would recommend alternate movements that will help to prevent further injury of my shoulder. People often mention coaches, classes, friendly, Great, good, class, great, Singapore, time, kids,

Good gym in a good location. Tons of open platforms make Olympic weightlifting easy. I came around lunch time usually and have had no issues getting a platform. Male bars are pretty average. Spins OK not great, knurling is there but not sharp, and I don't lift enough to know the whip

I visited Singapore for about 5 days recently and I think dropped in to Crossfit Mobilus almost every day. I can’t say enough good things about the people and coaches and facility! Not to mention they were so flexible with open gym hours and drop ins. It’s not everywhere that will allow me to just bike for an extra hour before class. I really enjoyed myself there and should I return to Singapore will definitely come back.

One of the best if not the best gym / crossfit box in Singapore - programming is top notch and the coaches are the best in their field! Have trained here for Hyrox Singapore as well - their training program is super comprehensive and challenging at the same time. This has allowed us to do very well at the first ever Hyrox Singapore. The energy at Mobilus is amazing and of course very encouraging - people are very friendly! Equipment is very complete/ comprehensive with lots of erg bikes/ ski / row and the space is huge! Shout out to the amazing coaches who have been there thru out our training journey! More power!

Fama is the first martial arts gym I ever trained at. after going for a trial to several martial arts gyms Fama really stood out with their friendly and helpful coaches , and outstanding staff. The facilities are very clean and I definitely recommend it for all newcomers. Fama has helped change my life and it has really help foster a love for Bjj and muay Thai in me Thank you FAMA team

Been training here for ten months - excellent facilities, clean bathrooms/lockers, even have a service to have your kit washed and folded so its ready for your next lesson. But most of all - people are great, from the receptionists all the way to the instructors. Very patient, excellent at motivating, always happy to see you, and very aware of your injuries so that they don't push you hard on something you'll struggle to do. Other students are also friendly and its a very non-aggressive environment (well as non-aggressive as a martial arts school can get). Track record in competition also speaks for itself. They also have lots of guest seminars with workshops from top instructors from around the globe to seminars on how to train without injury, etc. They have good payment options for the casual student (1-2 times a week) as well as the addicts (unlimited pass). They have classes early in the morning (645) which is excellent for people like me who need to get to work early and dont have time in the evenings. Full disclosure I've only done jiu-jitsu here, but I hear good things about the muy-thai classes as well. Also hear kids classes are very popular/well run.

Visited FaMA for the first time while in Singapore and glad I did. From the warm welcome at reception to the instructors on the mats and the mat culture of all the students everyone was warm, friendly and helpful. Great mat culture for any BJJers visiting Singapore FaMA has high level instructors coupled with a great mat culture for anyone including visitors. FaMA is located at a very convenient position at Clarke Quay just a short walk from either Fort Canning MRT or Clarke Quay MRT stations. Uniforms or gis are available for hire thus making it convenient for travellers to Singapore.

Awesome box in Singapore and very well equipped. Great fun environment to work out when you're in Singapore. Easy online booking system for drop ins (just book a session with spots available and rock up no need to call ahead). Very easy to get to on the MRT (train) and about a 2 min walk from the Clarke Quay station. Took me about 10 mins from staying on Orchard Road. MRT to Dhoby Ghaut station, change line to purple and one stop to Clarke Quay. Check out their website for up to date pics as it's just had a major revamp.

worst crossfit intro class ever. maybe I'm just a yokel with high expectations but i paid $30 for a 1 hr intro class and I got 4 mins warm up 7 mins interval training and 10 mins of crossfit BS spewed (with plenty of conviction so kudos on that front.) been introduced to burpees cycling and squats before. no need to pay $30 for it. save ur $$ and go elsewhere. i left the place cross. but definitely not fitter or more informed.

Probably the best crossfit box in Singapore + well located, central + good team of quality coaches (Shawn, Aidan...) + good community, diverse and friendly - no natural light - flooring worn off - some corners can be a bit dusty

Wow....this crossfit is amazing. If I lived in SG, I would train here for sure. It's not huge but very clean and has a lot of good, new equipment. The programming is excellent. But the best part is the people: I've been to boxes all over the world but never have I felt so welcome. I got so many tips and even got invited to events. Drop in is 35SGD which is a lot. But they have an awesome deal: You can train 5 days in a row for 100 SGD. You are probably not gonna go every day to avoid overtraining...but still...great deal. Also they have a good online sign-up system. So you don't have to call or email ahead...just sign up.

Cool space with a good vibe and convenient location on the north side of Chinatown. In addition to the passes they have on their website, they let me drop in for a certain number of days for a reasonable rate (I forget exactly what it was, but I recall it was worth it if I went more than 3 times). My favorite things about this box was the programming was great, and they had a separate annex and it was free most of the day for open gym. The only downside was that the classes do need to be reserved ahead of time, and class size was capped at 18-20 people - but there was only one class time I wasn't able to get into and I just had to do the class in the following hour.

I joined FaMA on a free trial in a bid to learn martial arts and become fitter. One of the reasons I chose FaMA, other than the good reviews online, was the fact that they had morning classes before I start work. Being new to martial arts, I was apprehensive but on the first day of each class (BJJ and Muay Thai), any of such lingering feeling dissipated. The instructors (I've trained with Professor Thiago, Kru Ping and Kru Jerel) are approachable and helpful. The more experienced students are willing to partner me, give me guidance along the way and correcting my form and techniques. After the free trial, the experience was pleasant as well. Nobody tried to pressurise me with a barrage of sales pitch - in fact there was none at all. I was able to leave and make a decision, whether or not to sign up, on my own. Overall, as a tl;dr, I would say that FaMA is not just a school, it is, if i may say so, a martial arts community of martial arts practitioners and enthusiasts on its own. I would recommend FaMA to anyone who wishes to take up BJJ and/or Muay Thai.

Loving Fama!!! =D Great ambience overall!!! From the time you walk in, you’re greeted genuinely and politely by the front desk staff. Always asking how your day is and the effort to always remember your name. The staff, Muay Thai coaches, BJJ professors, will treat you like family and will look out for you if you need any help. Such a family-oriented academy! I’m impressed with their way of involvement and engagement with their clients/members. The effort to set up birthday parties for the little ones, dressing up on Halloween with the kids and parents etc — you can tell they really care about making their clients happy and belonged. So glad to be a part of Fama! This place is a great place to start your BJJ or Muay Thai journey. 100% learning from these champions with multiple world-class experience/fights. You will learn and improve a lot as the coaches here will put in their all to teach with patience and ensure you learn the fundamentals and advanced techniques correctly. They are always making you feel comfortable making your own decisions as well! Thank you fama!

My two girls attend the BJJ classes here. Though they were apprehensive at first, after the initial trial session they couldn't wait to go back! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the instructors are passionate in their teaching whilst ensuring the safety of the little ones. I had thoroughly searched online for a suitable BJJ class for my kids, though FAMA isn't the closest gym to my home i am very glad that we chose to join them.

Simple but nice environment. Did a trial week (only had my first Muay Thai lesson) and experience was ok but I’m the only first timer so not quite up the the standards of the rest. The toilet and bathroom are both clean but definitely not big. There are also lockers for you if you need one. The monthly fee is not cheap (price quite close to the material art training schools I’ve seen so far so to be fair, almost the same) but there’s daily pass options if ur schedule don’t allow u to actually go so frequently, which is what o may take on if I feel like going ahead after the trial week.

Awesome BJJ school for kids: End of last year, we were sourcing for a BJJ school for my girl who was turning 4 this year. We ended up with 4 choices, with trial classes to experience what BJJ is like, and how the lessons are taught to the kids. My girl was frightened by the first school due to the amount of sparring she saw. It felt like she will not like BJJ eventually. We got her to give the sport a try, allow herself to ask the coaches to teach her where she did not know how to. It was heartwarming to see how she approached the coach and informed that she did not know and will like to learn how. Eventually she chose FAMA based on her own experiences during the trial lessons. The coaches here are friendly, and willing to impart their skills. They are prepared to take a step back if they did not know why my 4 year old sometimes suddenly gets cranky from the long time spent travelling to FAMA after school on weekdays or just shouting out when she is excited. The place is easily accessible (near to the train station) and is kept clean all the time. My girl has now spent over 7 months at FAMA and still loving the lessons and the coaches. She has learned how to do flips, rolls, etc. Thank you!

As someone who is involved in a customer-service business, I really appreciate the small things that tell me they understand what it takes to make a good gym experience. It's clean and it never smells funky. Clean towels. Reception always remembers you and greets you warmly. They're open on most public holidays cos they know enthusiastic students want to train when they have time. And last but really not the least, the trainers are encouraging, interested in your development, well qualified and know how to keep training fun. An added bonus are the seminars they organise around topics we are interested in to support our skills development and martial arts lifestyle.

FaMA is everything a fitness and martial arts gym should be: clean, friendly and professional. Everything from the locker rooms to the mats and exercise equipment are constantly sanitised so there is no funky odour. The counter staff and instructors are also very warm and are more than willing to answer your questions about a class or a certain technique. Furthermore, the instructors take professionalism to the next level through their keen attention to detail. Every technique or drill is broken down methodically into simple steps so it's easier for you to follow. Additionally, they are excellent at spotting and correcting minor errors in your form that make all the difference in executing a technique successfully. If you're looking for a clean, warm and vibrant gym to level up your general fitness or combat skills, look no further than Fitness and Martial Arts Singapore.

I’ve trained BJJ & Muay Thai for many years and in various gyms around the world. FAMA is the real deal. The BJJ coaches are top level and super cool guys and the Muay Thai is great too. I done the rounds when I moved to Singapore and found a home in FAMA. In addition to great coaching the vibe in the gym is ultra friendly and ego free. Also, there is no hard sell like the other gyms I went to check out. I got a 1-week free pass with no pressure. After that, I signed up for a year:) Top level gym, elite level coaches and cool training partners. What more could one want? Ticks all the boxes for me. Love it! 5-stars, highly recommend!

The one week free trial was very useful for us to find out which days were suitable in terms of schedule and how the flow of the classes went throughout the week. My child (aged 5) thoroughly enjoyed the little tigers (muay thai) and little warriors (brazilian jiujitsu) classes. Most kids were repeated faces even for different days and they were friendly and very helpful to new friends in the class as well. The classes were fun for the kids, mixture of physical training and games and basic moves, while the coaches/professors were also firm when the kids misbehaved sometimes. The gym is cosy, very open, so parents could sit around and watch the children’s class or join the famafit class at the same time. There was also a small lounge with free coffee and tea to wait in. The staff and professors made us feel welcome and were very friendly and easy to speak to. The locker rooms are a tad tiny but clean and comfortable and fully stocked with basic shower room amenities. A big plus is its location, next to the fort canning dtl station which is very convenient for us. Prices for the day passes and the monthly subscription were reasonable as well. Will recommend this place to other parents for the children classes anytime!

Happy I signed up a bit more than a month ago. Great mix of classes for beginners and advanced students with manageable schedules even for working mums. Gives peace of mind that you can freeze the membership for a week when things get too busy. Very professional and approachable teachers, you get pushed but they keep things fun and motivating. Simply a nice and friendly atmosphere to work out, learn new skills and connect with people. And... gooood music! :-) Keep it up, you're all doing an amazing job!!

Started out with a trial class which subsequently turned into a full registration. Have been wanting to try out bjj for some time but availability of Sunday classes were the exclusion criteria for some of the bjj schools in Singapore. I have tried out a couple of schools before trying out FaMA and I was impressed from the get go. FaMA is a great combination of excellent teaching/professiobalism plus great/clean facilities as well as the sense of community all in one place. Glad to have found this place.

UPDATE: I wanted to update my review to include the new classes during phase 2. FaMA has done a great job adapting to the current situation, every student get their own spacious workout area equipment that is disinfected before and after each class. Kru Yo’s Muay Thai classes are fun, technical and great cardio and even include safely distanced pad work which is appreciated. The BJJ classes have also been adapted excellently to the new regulations, I’m not normally a fan of solo drills but because they are so well thought out and explained and include the use of heavy bags you can really see how they will apply to your Jiu-Jitsu when grappling is allowed again. Super friendly and knowledgeable instructors and staff. The classes are well structured and on throughout the day so there is always one on when I want to train. Great community feel with the students here as well!

When they say Famaly, they really mean it. They make the effort to learn each and every member's names. When Covid struck me, Coach Kirstie, Zoro and Steve were so encouraging - sending me recorded clips and even an exercise routine to do during my stay in the CIF. Even during the CB period, they made sure to stay in touch with their members as well as the kids by having Live sessions with everybody. Instead of having exercises all the time, they took care of all the psychological well-being of members by having fun cooking, painting and costume exercise sessions. This really helped in breaking the monotony of the CB period. Fama Forever!

FAMA Singapore have been offering an amazing range of virtual classes since lockdown! I complete one/two classes most days from Muay Thai to Jui Jitsu Fit and then also the stretch/isometrics class. In the stretch class I explained that I was trying to train to do the splits and Thiago the coach adapted one of the session to give me hints and tips which I really appreciated! In the Muay Thai session coach Kru also adapts the workout for those of us that have tiny apartments!! In addition to that the social side of FAMA keeping in touch with us all through social media and weekend talks has been amazing! I would recommend FAMA to any martial arts newbies (like me!) to pros who want to talk and train with other fanatics missing the mats!!

Chanced upon FAMA Fitness from Classpass and took a trial lesson from Kirsten and I must say she is such a patient & knowledgeable instructor. I voiced my concerns over a meniscus tear in my knee and she was attentive towards it. Truly enjoyed the training and took on a 20-day pass and enjoying still. The studio is kept neat and clean at all times, and see smiling faces all around. Good vibes, good energy ! Keep it up !

Our son really loves learning BJJ and has been advancing in his skill level and developing a wonderful sense of confidence. I can't say enough about the multi faceted experience FAMA provides - we're so happy we got involved.
