Fantastic facilities. Impressive team of coaches. However this is a BIG marketing machine! Every classes are EXACTLY the same. Barely 1 round of pads per class (sometimes none). Classes are packed with sometimes 30-40 pax at the same time! (evening schedules) They created this system of arm ribbon (Pra Jiad) for what is supposed to be levels of fighters. Regardless of your level you MUST start from level zero; which means NO access to advanced class, and NO access to sparring classes. (and do not count on sparring session at the end of the "regular" class, there is none) Been training muaythai for over 10 years, did their so called "trial" or "assessment" where they confirmed me verbally access to advanced & sparring classes before signing up. Ended up stuck in beginner's class for several months til I eventually decide to change gym. If you really love muaythai and want to actually train muaythai, this is definitely NOT the place! Might be good for fitness training, yet still at this price, many other options available. Fanciest gym and most impressive group of (pro) trainers, but sadly MOST DISAPPOINTING experience! (and BIGGEST waste of money.)

The instructors are good (hence why I'm giving it a 2 star instead of 1). Very pricey. There are better options. The are not upfront about their prices on their website makes. I came here 2 years ago and they had a totally different price. The sales manager only cares about signing you up and pushes you to pay on the spot.

The club is very odd. On direct email request for prices, they answer absolutely everything, including free trial offering, except actual rates. When you tell them that it is not what you re looking for, they will say to you that accepts debit giro or credit card installment. I definitely will not join this club and will not recommend the club with such level of service to anyone else.

Right now, its getting a star(or 2) knocked off due to the restriction of capacity, cause, covid. To get to a class, you would have to fight with hundreds of students to book for classes the moment slots open up. To get a sense of things, a typical avg Muay thai class can hold up to 20 students and half that for BJJ and wrestling. The facilities and coaching itself has always been phenomenal even pre covid. Its just the lack of available classes and inability to switch between gyms despite paying a premium for the membership that doesn't justify the price point right now. Further more, suspension of memberships isn't available either (totally get it cause businesses got to feed itself, nothing wrong with it). But a price discount would justify me continuing paying for a membership that I may or may not be able to access even if I have the time for it.

Similar to other reviews I am knocking off a star (or 2) due the restriction of capacity, of classes, and subsequently not being to attend the weekday evening classes as it is often booked up instantly when the booking slots open . The facilities, coaching itself is top notch. But not being able to get a class due to the capacity restrictions and too much demand with the current supply of classes makes it expensive at the current price point. Suggest Evolve perhaps look at restricting membership numbers at FES ( based on the current supply of peak hour classes), or look at optimising class capacity, or allowing cross gym training at current membership rates so members can move around gyms. Edit: enhancement of booking system has improved waitlist logic

Being a flight attendant gave me a chance to see and compare different gym facilities when I fly to different countries. I’m personally very particular about hygiene and cleanliness, I would say Evolve MMA is really impressive. Due to my job nature , I’m always not around and training regularly is a challenge. However , everytime I stepped into Evolve I will always feel welcomed . The staff, the students, the world champion Instructors are friendly and humble and always willing to share their knowledge with the students. I learned what is perseverance , respect and being humble. On TOP of that, they have a gym corner with weights, machines etc. Do I need another gym membership? No! Evolve is 2nd Home, my place to go to whenever I come back from my flight. 💖💖💖

If ZERO star is allowed, I will rate for their sales! When you consultant to buy their class, the sales is quite quick response and happy to support anything you concern. BUT once you paid for it, it will be very hard for after-sales services bcz even you can get response. When I pay for my class, I’ve been told it allow refund, but now the sales Gerald even ask for my personal information or reject the refund. Disgusting sales I’ve ever met in sg. shame

Top quality gym with very professional trainers! Good for those really looking to hone their fight skills. Special shoutout to the staff like Asyiqin who is a excellent and member relations! And also to Drian and Danial with their excellent boxing coaching.

I’m surprised that they don’t have a poster of Xi Xinping on their wall because of how authoritarian their rules are This is the first gym I’ve been to that has mandatory warmups and rolling/sparring, which makes it impossible to take back-to-back classes The Muay Thai is a joke where they make you hit the bag for the entire session, never teaching you a single technique. If you do pad work, they just try to exhaust you by doing 50 kicks even if you have dangerously poor form The instructor at the MMA class doesn’t take any questions because “that’s not my job, just learn this.” Incredible. The smaller BJJ classes sometimes have better instructors, but you’ll often get turned away as a lower belt if the classes have more than 10 people. This is a money-grab gym. Don’t go here unless you have to. Your time and money are better spent getting private sessions at your local gym.

The best gym one could ever ask for. With World champions to guide you along every step in your martial arts journey, mistakes can easily be spotted and rectified before it becomes a habit. With state of the art facilities provided by the gym, one is assured that they are in a fun, safe, and enjoyable environment. Not only is the shower room spacious and clean. The towels provided are in tip-top condition. The instructors here are amazing people, each with their own story to share how they have conquered insurmountable adversities. I enjoyed training with Drian Franciso, Panpayak Jitmuangnon, Kru Aek, Kru Aa, Papa Daorung, Kru Non, Nong O and much more. Evolve mainly features warriors e.g. Chatri Sityodtong and Singtngnoi Por Telakun and many others overcoming insurmountable adversities inspired me and gave me hope when I was at the lowest point in my life. The other students at the gym are willing to help each other out. If you are new, do not worry! The instructors and other more experienced students will be there to guide you. Furthermore, you can forge strong bonds with your training partners and your instructors. A massive shoutout to both Gerald and Shukor for their excellent customer service. Last of all, the classes at Evolve run from 6.30 am to around 11 pm on weekdays, and 7.30 am-7.30 pm on weekdays. They are even open on Public holidays! With three classes running simultaneously in different gym rooms, you do not have to worry about not being able to get a slot. With such an extensive timeslot, you can always book your places, No matter how busy your day is.

Really enjoyed the training here when I was visiting Singapore. They have a huge amount of World Champion trainers who take great care of their students. The BJJ program there is very good and their Muay Thai instructors are super friendly. This gym is good for beginners but professional fighters as well. Really felt comfortable training here with the friendly coached and excellent customer service! Will definitely be back to train again when I'm in town.

Contacts & myself have made intermittent visits to the gym since it’s opening 13 years ago & ALWAYS had our queries answered to make supported decisions on membership. Occasional run-ins with headiness & attitudes, but nothing overboard. Asst GM ASYIQIN, in particular, was unhappy about being asked for a pen & paper to jot down deets from the start. She later adamantly refused a ballpark figure of gym’s membership, even when I gave valid reasons. Her insistence included she is the only one to deal with, with no alternative staff nor higher-ups. Follow-up call was made by the “Director of Ops” the next day, who taunted my affordability status. He did not follow through with the text he promised. Texts to TRISH on unkept word (above) were twice refudiated. Joining Evolve is a no-go on diverse levels.

Member for 5 years and initially resisted signing up because of cost, but the locations and sheer number of clssses makes it convenient for working professionals (and those with family commitments, young parents - you know what I'm talking about!). Shout out to the FES team (Asyqin, Syarifah, Natalie) and all the professors for making this a great place to train and learn BJJ.

  • 5/5 R Y L. 2 years ago on Google
The trainers here are top-notch. I’m particularly thankful to my trainer, Drian Francisco, for his patience and guidance, especially when I was just starting out. A quick shoutout to Gerald for introducing me to this MMA with a fantastic free trial, and the friendly staff who will always greet gym goers with a smile even at the crack of dawn. I never regretted taking a leap of faith and joining Evolve for its boxing classes, even though I was very new to boxing. Now, my boxing techniques and footwork have improved within three months of joining. And I never felt fitter. Thank you.

No pricing available on the website, No day passes available, they are charging 55 dollars per class! Arrived mid day, very few people around was thinking of training for 3 hours that would be around 170 dollars! I regularly train at the world class gym in London and I am used to paying a lot for training but this is a joke.

Great environment and shower facilities. MT classes can be overcrowded and is basically do whatever you want without much supervision. Coaches are probably overworked and that's the reason why. You only get 1 round of 3 min pad work each lesson.

As soon as i walked in to Evolve gym, i knew i found my training place for the next two months. The staff is super friendly, the facilities are clean and so easy to use, you pay for the extra to have state of the art facilities and coaches. What warmed my heart the most was that many days i had my 4 year old daughter with me and they didnt have any problem for her to come there with me :) I cant wait to come back

Very friendly and patient in teaching their classes. Not to mention the service crew at the gym, Shukor and Gerald. Their service is top notch, you can always rely on them to solve your administration issues! Kudos to the both of them

I cannot express how much I love being in Evolve MMA. I joined exactly a year ago and I have to admit that it has been one of the best decisions I made in my life. I got fitter(almost superman strong hehe), made so many new friends(some that are not only gym buddies anymore) and learn so much from all Professors, Krus and Instructors(obviously with bonus meeting all the professional fighters and champions ). First of all, the trainings are very fun. That was main goal while looking for a gym. In other gyms before, I have experienced many times that the training sessions became boring after half a year or so. But this is not case by Evolve! I came here 6/7 days in week and everyday somehow unique and fun. All instructors are very friendly and try to help everyone in improving. They also make the classes very fun and challenging at same time. They know how much they can push your limits. When you arrive everyday, the Evolve stuff knows your name and always says hi, ask you are you doing and chat with you abit(right Kaii?). They are always very happy to help you with any issues. And even during this COVID situation that we are all dealing with, the Evolve is doing their best to provide as many classes as possible and make the daily experience as enjoyable as possible. So, thank you very much everyone in Evolve, love you all so much!!

removing 2 stars - during covid the prices are jacked up (or at least the one i am offered) and the service is less. Higher price, Less classes, difficult to book, and no more multi-location.

As someone who has no experience in any sort of MMA background. I would like to commend the friendly and accommodating front desk staffs(Asyiqin, Syarifah, Natalia), special props to the mentioned names as they were willing to answer my questions patiently and informatively . Good facility and clean environment to pick up MMA training for beginners.

I have been at Evolve for about 15 months now and I always have a great time there. The atmosphere there feels amazing as everyone there is focussed in training martial arts. Not only can you learn something from the coaches, but your fellow peers as well. As someone who only practices boxing there, my coach, Drian Francisco, is always willing to help you improve and gives practical advice too. If you are someone who is trying to pick up something new or continuing practicing martial arts, definitely give Evolve MMA a go!

Joining evolve has been the best choice i've ever made in my life, I'm in the best physical shape I've ever been in, mentally its helped me so much as well, the staff and coaches are all super friendly and absolutely incredible, if I could only be at one place for the rest of my life, It'd be here, the sessions, while tiring, feel extremely rewarding after. Theres so much more I could write about but for now, I'll stop writing here. Hope to keep training here for the rest of my life 🥊🌯 <>

Evolve MMA at Far East Square is centrally located in the CBD, has excellent facilities and a huge class schedule, which makes it easy for busy people to fit training into their day. I have been training in Evolve MMA for 9 years now. I believe that as of today, no other MMA gym in Singapore has such an extensive class schedule, or so many knowledgeable and experienced instructors who are highly decorated professional fighters (i.e. World Champions). Staff are always friendly and available to help. A shout-out to long time staff like Shukor and Gerald, as well as newer ones like Khai and Inez, for their unflagging good cheer and efficiency, even throughout the dreariness of the Covid pandemic during the past 2 years.

I couldn't be more happy to come down to Evolve Mma. I was planning to visit another academy in my short stay, but after the first class with Professor Sarafo and Teco I didn't want to train anywhere else 😀. The staff on the front desk was super helpful. Hope to come back in the near future. Thanks again, Evolve Mma Ivan Voronoff

Evolve FES offers rather efficient front desk service, decently maintained facilities and most of all, professors/ krus who customises the intensity of training regardless of one's fitness capacity, while maximising members' potential in overall personal growth- both mentally and physically by constantly pushing one's stamina, igniting passion and instilling self-discipline.

Look forward to many more of these :)

Mostly world class and friendly coaches. But inflexible pricing (couldn't get 6 months contract which I could get in other gyms) and termination policies. Ask for trial classes before committing to a contract. Oh by the way, I was often insulted and mocked by a certain associate trainer and receptionist for my anxiety. Here's how it went.. Associate trainer: "he's got mental issues" Receptionist: "oh really? He's got mental issues" Associate trainer: "oh really?" I mean what do you people gain by stigmatizing and violating us minorities having such issues. I still provide jobs to your locals and train them. I'm not less valuable than you. I have diabetes too. Will you insult that as well? Singaporeans need to change.

Being greeted by KHAI my new bff from the time i enter and to world champion instructors whose willing to guide me even after class time is worth mentioning. 4 stars because the bjj professors are really good teachers. Being world champions themselves, every professor will have their own methodology of their craft. How they teach the techniques is also different. This is the only reason why I signed up with Evolve. As for the management, they are the least favourable. The booking system is not great. Slots get taken up in 30 secs after it opens for booking. Not to mention that apart from paying a pricey monthly membership, we aren't allowed to use other locations, instead we have to pay to train in other locations.

Came here to train BJJ at a lunchtime whilst visiting Singapore. Counter staff were friendly and professional and changing rooms were clean. The instruction was given by a teacher who’s been a black belt for 20 years under Carlson Gracie so was of very high level. The other members of the class were friendly and welcoming. Got in some good technique and then plenty of rolling including with a purple belt world champion. The only reason it looses a star is that it is a little pricy at S$55 PER CLASS, not even for a day pass.

I've been training BJJ and Muay Thai at Evolve for 2.5 years now having trained different martial arts in a number of different countries. In my experience Evolve in general, and FES in particular are as good as it gets. 1. The instructors are world class. You can see from the bios of even the junior guys there is great depth in quality and experience. The trainers are dedicated and focused on improving their students. I've trained at other gyms where instructors will demonstrate something and then spend the next 10 minutes playing with their phones. Does not happen here! 2. The facilities are top notch. Huge dedicated floor spaces - plentiful bags and dedicate sparring spots. Everything is cleaned continuously (extremely important if you're spending a lot of time on the floor). FES also has a really high quality dedicated gym space with great cardio and weights equipment. Changing rooms way better than anything I've seen at other martial arts gyms. 3. Vibe - Martial Art gyms can be intimidating, but from the second you step in through the door all the staff are friendly and welcoming. This rubs off on the students and its got the feel of a social club

Good trainers. Good facilities. Good equipment. My resting heart rate improved within 3 months of attending classes. I generally don’t like to exercise but this is one place that doesn’t make exercising feel like a chore. Love it here!!

SUCH A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! EVOLVE MMA is such a life changer. It brought discipline into my life and improved my cardio, health and strength. Taught my wife and me self-defence in a class full of enthusiastic like-minded individuals. The instructors are professionals who are fun, friendly and official world champions. Thank you Evolve!!!

My home away from home every time i fly into Singapore. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Evolve for looking after me so well there again. My second time flying to Singapore purely to train at Evolve and all ready planning my third! Syarah at Far east square was a wealth of information very helpful every day I saw her, so was Kristine. Fifi at Orchard was also lovely and very friendly. And please thank Kevin for me from Clark Quay branch for going above and beyond to accommodate me long before I got there and even after i left. Very helpful I really appreciated it. All the instructions so many world champions teaching there can be quite intimidating. But just like the first time I trained there . They were all very down to earth. Helpful and very patient . Did my very first wrestling class there with no prior knowledge and Eko Saputra was a great teacher taking his time with me. From all 3 branches all the Muay Thai Instructors were easy going and helpful. I really enjoyed training at all 3 branches. But without a doubt Far East Square branch would have to beu one of the world's best martial arts gyms in the world. 5 star facilities along with so many world champions teaching there. Thank you for another wonderful experience at Evolve. See you next time!

I've been going to this gym for awhile and I have to say, it's been an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help out with any questions or concerns. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. What really sets this gym apart, though, is the sense of community it fosters. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging, whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out on your fitness journey. The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable, and they really take the time to understand your goals and help you achieve them. Overall, I can't recommend this gym enough. If you're looking for a welcoming, supportive environment where you can reach your fitness goals, this is the place to be.

I joined evolve MMA 5 months ago and it has been an overall amazing experience. I train Muay Thai and strength training at the gym. Firstly, the coach, staff, and team at evolve is spectacular. We are being taught by world champs who put a lot of effort into making us all better athletes. The team and staff at evolve are also very caring and friendly making a positive atmosphere that keeps us all coming back. Secondly the equipment and changing rooms are all kept and maintained at a very high quality. Makes it a very comfortable experience at evolve. Lastly it’s a great place to meet like minded people who consistently show up. I have a found it wonderful to make friends and train with the many regulars at the gym. Overall a great place I’ll keep training at and coming back to!

I started Muay Thai 4 months ago at Evolve - Far East Square - and I love it. The staff is very welcoming and supportive, the masters are very skilled and caring as well, the facilities are well equiped, very easily accessible and well maintained. They propose large operating hours every day with many courses. I really do appreciate this flexibility which allow me to enjoy my subscription despite of my personal /work constraints. Hightly recommended!

😠 Misogyny. Over the course of my trial week, I took 2 beginner Muay Thai classes with Kru Yo, the head MT instructor, and a strength and conditioning class with Kirstie. The one star review is for Kru Yo; by contrast, Kirstie was an adept and welcoming instructor. My first class with Kru Yo happene...
