overall a really nice hostel! Beds are comfortable (2 lovely pillows, a blanket & towel provided) with a fairly decent amount of space to store things. The pod designs makes them very private and i personally didn’t find it got too hot at any point (the ac runs all the time). Everywhere is clean and the staff are very kind and helpful. The only issue i found was the shower area, only one has a working lock and although the glass is frosted, you can still see basically everything. It’s a female only shower area so it’s not too bad but i didn’t feel overly comfortable as a younger girl

The only thing good about this place is the staff who are available 24/7 and do their best to make one's stay comfortable. However, the rooms are like chicken coops and too warm. I stayed here for 3 nights and was not able to sleep for even one night because of heat and suffocation. The hostel should not accept bulk bookings because there was a family with approximately 30 people, including infants. Hence, the washrooms and common area were almost always crowded. The washrooms were not very clean either. Overall, it's the best place if cheap price is the main factor and one can adjust in suffocating, crowded places.

Location is great but it seems like they don't have enough staff to properly maintain the property

The employees are nice and helpful but this is the most uncomfortable place to stay while in Singapore. 8 people cramped inside a room divided only by curtains and thin plywood. You can hear every movement of everyone around you even their whispers. Hardly any room to place your luggages. You sleep with your bags. We're not able to sleep well here.

Best option to stay in Singapore where everything very expensive. This price quite busy every bed were booked. At first, I didn’t get my towel, I need to ask for it. However, the staff there pretty nice and friendly. The location is good to observe the city, pretty close to metro.

The shower room was poor and smells. No usb charger so you will need to bring the international charger. Staffs are friendly. Short distance to mrt

Very good location, modern & clean hostel. The double bed is also really comfortable but the rooms are very small (there is just a small storage place under the bed for the luggage). It was also really cold in the room so i would recommend to ask for another blanket. It’s also noisy (you can hear the people outside the room) but with earplugs it’s ok. I would recommend it for 1-2 nights when you are on budget.

Horrible experience I ever have! The Underwear, towers are hanging everywhere at the shower room just like a refugee camp. The room are totally dark and no handle in my capsule, I almost fall down from the upper deck when I wake up at night. I found most of the staffs are living there, maybe those backpackers stay there paid by working for them. Maybe that’s why many good comments about staffs!!

Staff very friendly, very clean and rooms are very good and have lots of privacy, rooms are quite cheap for the area. The location is very easy to find if you know where you are going. Temperature is very good, not too cold and not too hot. Rules are enforced but not very strict and can have alot of freedom. No curfew either which is a great addition.

The hostel is okayish, the staff are helpful. It's one of the cheapest and best options if you're staying for a couple of days. Separate rooms for male and female guests. I think they also have some family residency options. Overall nice one, super clean.

Stayed in a 6-pods room. There are limited public space in the room to keep your large luggage/walk around. Electrical locker with password system is available for your small & medium bags. Shower rooms (male) are pretty small and need more improvements.

Great stay at wink. The location was at the center of the city with access to all other parts. The rooms were tidy and washrooms were very clean. Seshagiri at the counter was a pleasure to hang out with and provided a very warm environment to stay. Overall a great place to stay for a couple of days.

Location is the only okay thing with this hostel. It’s very old, smelly and dirty. Not enough stuff to help you out, constantly playing loud Indian music. Unorganised and dirty.

The place was located on the third floor, there was this tiny little door leading to the stairs (right next to the coffee shop) —> so it will be hard if you had a giant luggage We need to take off our shoes before entering the place, the main door and rooms was secured by card that was given when you checked in. The service and hospitality was amazing, i was came in around 9.00 am and the staffs was kind enough to let me do early checkin :’) There were common bathroom and separated men and women shower room (4 cubicles). One time, It was around 12.00-13.00 pm i caught a middle aged men was just finished taking a shower in women only shower room ( i hope he was new and have no idea that there were separated shower room). For the location, there were convinience stores and coffee shops literally nearby.. and restaurants as well. It was also a walking distance to the famous Lau Pa Sat. The nearest bus stop was 2-3 min walking, but for the MRT station, it was a bit far (maybe around 15 min cmiiw). Overall, it was worth the money if you’re a solo traveller who seek for comfort 👍🏼

This is a really great place to stay when travelling solo. The room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable and cosy. The lockers provided are good and fit a carry on suitcase with some space leftover but will not fit a bigger bag so keep that in mind when packing. The location was also excellent and I appreciated that it was not a 'party' hostel but one where guests did their own thing and respected each other's space. My only issue was with the female shower room which was quite unpleasant as there was mould in the shower and it felt generally unclean. Note for travellers with accessibility concerns - there are three flights of stairs up to the hostel so I would not recommend it for those with mobility issues.

Very clean and comfortable bed! I normally don't like staying in a dormitory type but this is very clean and comfy. Other hiccups would be other guests where they stay out very late and talk in the toilet where it made very uncomfortable to use. Also they allow to use shower after checkout is a big plus!

Would not recommend this hostel at all. They intially had me in a bed next to a leaking AC. Floor was all wet and could not get to my bed without stepping in the puddle. They moved me to a bed with stains, hairs, and dirt. Very disorganized and chaotic environment. Cleanliness of everything was about a zero.

The location was excellent. Walking distance to many MRT stations, food markets and iconic streets. The male and female showers are separate which I loved! Also they provide free drinking water which I appreciate. One negative is that it is not very social so you don't get to meet other guests unlike other hostels.

Heartwarming employees, easy in contact and communication. When in trouble they are thoughtful, understanding and helpful. Since breakfast is included, and there’s great food and a supermarket all around, it’s a real pearl in the middle of the district. Also there are metros nearby to travel all through the city and sightseeing options around the corner.

It’s hard to find a not so expensive stay in Singapore. Travelling on budget and hostels like these are amazing! The price is nice, the hostel is clean, hot water, drinking water and it’s perfect located just near Chinatown. Helpful staff always available. Very luksus for a backpacker 😁

A very pleasant stay here at the Wink Hostel @ McCallum Street. Stayed during the grand prix weekend, need to be at the F1 track before the checkin time and the staff are happy to help store the luggage before checking in late in the night. The staffs are super friendly and very helpful. Things to note: bathroom area is quite small, need to plan on things to bring into the bathroom + there is so sinks in the bathroom area (only in the toilet). And would be helpful if the staffs prepare some flip flops to be used in the toilet & bathroom. All in all, a very nice place to stay if you’re on a budget. Near to two MRT stations and a very nice location. I would give this place a good recommendation 👍🏻💯

This hostel stay is good value for the price. I stayed in the female-only dorm for one night. The hostel staff is very friendly and the vibe is positive. There is a female-only bathroom/shower, and free hot/cold water for drinking. there is a counter with stools in the common area and free wifi. The hostel's check-in/check-out is convenient, and the location is close to 7-11, a Chinese buffet, a hawker market, and many restaurants/bars at different price points. The nearest MRT is 5 min by walking

Stayed as a family group with 3 kids in a 6 bed dorm. Rooms and facilities were great, location perfect for exploring Chinatown, temples and various food hawkers. Also a few minutes walk to MRT to airport. Jeff is a great host to the extent when it was raining one evening he supplied our family of 5 with an umbrella each so was much appreciated.

We stayed for a total of 4.nights. it's really for travelers who are out most of the time. The bunk beds were comfortable... Pillows, blanket, bath towels clean. Air-conditioning was constantly cool and comfortable. It can feel a little tight since we got a private room with 6 single pods... Little space for large luggage. But location was excellent 👌 near Amoy Food Center, 711, cafes and other restaurants.. MRT stations and bus stops within short walking distance. I'm sure to book again with Wink@McCallum. Staff friendly too.

Stayed here for only 1 night (for a layover) . Finding it was a bit tricky, but nothing to worry about. When I got there the front desk staff looked really young and I thought he was a guest. (maybe he lives there) After writing down my informations, he showed me the room and the bed I was going to stay in. All bedrooms need a key to go in, which was great. In the bedroom, there were also lockers which didn't need a lock. There was a bathroom only for female and the restrooms were for all guests. The breakfast food was good and simple enough for a hostel. The others guests are not sociable, and since there's no lounge to relax it is a bit hard to get to know other people. Great for a short stay, but if you want to make friends this is not the place.

Amazing folks! Melvin and Giri are amazing hosts to have. It was one of the cleanest places I’ve gone to. The hostel is better than most 4-5 star hotels you go to in terms of service and cleanliness

Wonderful stay at Wink Hostel. It is really well situated, in Chinatown, near several hawker centers. Rooms and common spaces are very clean, and the breakfast is included. A special thank to Melvin, who is an incredible host, I really felt at home thanks to him.

For the price it’s the best! You know that you’ll get a capsule but it’s absolutely well sized. The check in process was easy and quick, same goes for the wifi.

The service is good, the receptionist is also quick response to help for my problems, solutive. Maybe for the room it's too small ya for 4 different people who ordered. For the location, at first it was quiet hard to find even i already following the google maps, maybe because there's no light sign at the edge street so its hard for me.

Had a amazing stay at Wink hostel @ Downtown. This hostel is brand new and has a modern and fresh look. The staff is really friendly and would love to help if you need anything. Location is absolute perfect. The metro station is nearby, but you can easily reach the most highlight by foot as well. Definitely can recommend this hostel!

As of November 2019, they are just 1 month old. Located at strategic places - near food, Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, 7-11 is just next to door.. Clean, and convenience You need do bit exercise to go to its lobby, located at 2nd floor by stairs... Breakfast super - bread, cereals, fruits, coffee, tea, and fried rice noodle.. Extremely happy stay here..

The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful in almost anything from finding the fastest routes to a particular place, things that you need buy, etc. The place is very clean and safe. I would like to recommend this place to those who are staying in Singapore for a long period of time, too. Kuddos to Jeff who has been very patient and understanding in all of my queries. Cheers!

It’s by far the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Super clean, always tidy and the staffs super friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient, everything and anything you need is just around the corner. The MRT 5mins away, and 7eleven just 2 doors away! Strongly recommended!

I recommend checking in at this hotel. They are friendly with all the guests; the rooms are clean; and there is a hot shower. Another positive review here is that they allow guests to use the shower and toilet even after check out.

Jeff is an absolute gem. He helped me out so much. I arrived pretty late on a Thursday night after missing my flight. I booked a room here before leaving the airport and it was all pretty quick and last minute. But Jeff was super helpful and made up a fresh bed in a dorm for me. Can't recommend this place enough. If you just want someplace quick and cheap for the night look no further. Excellent location. 10/10 will deffo come back.

They tried their best to keep the hostel clean and the Staff we're very good and helpful. However the mattress has a huge dent Which made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. I could only sleep for 3-5 hrs per night during my stay and i was really tired during the day. The girl in the next cubicle snored all the time Which wasn't helpful either. The room was too cold that i woke up at 5.30am due to low body temperature. I called the afterhour Number and was given another blanket Which helped. The next day i talked to the owner He said he will turn it up a bit. All in all this is a hostel, if you are After comfort and privacy. Definitely no go. But it has a very good Location at a very affordable price on the otherhand. if you ask me i Would not stay in a hostel again, Mainly because i was restless and i found that makes the next day's trip more taxing than it already is.

Great location, staff was very pleasant and accommodating, bed was comfortable, only reason I'm removing one star is because there wasn't much space in the rooms for luggage, same with showers where there was limited space for personal belongings but overall good stay

A really superb hostel right in the heart of Singapore. We just loved the boutique and high class feel of the hostel whilst it also maintained that communal feel which we love too. The rooms were really comfortable and the mattresses perfect for us. The pods had great curtains which blocked out light and added privacy whilst staying in a shared room. Also loved the touches like two sets of lights one brighter and one a bit dimmer as well as the plug and slippers too. Location was ideal for exploring the city being a short walk from public transport, varied places to eat, a 7/11 below and not far to walk to the marina too.

Wonderful hostel Quiet and peaceful at night for restful sleep. However The room doors ain't soundproof !! Hence any chatting and noises nearby can be heard loud and clear from inside the room !! Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed my stay in this hostel. 😄👍 Thank you 😊

I found this place when I went for a quick personal trip. The hotel is located in the city which is quite strategic. I think it’s a convenient place to chill over the too. Staff seems very welcoming and friendly. The check in process was smooth as well. There are places like a bar to hangout, hawker Center with varieties of food option to explore. The famous Lau Pa Sat is just around the corner. In addition to that, commuting wouldn’t be a problem as well. The hotel is located nearby a mrt station.

I was thrilled about everything at Wink @ McCallum Street. I had planned a short stay in Singapore City, which I could use as a base to explore. Wink was extremely central, from there I could pick up a bus pass from the Seven-Eleven below the hotel and easily walk to at least four excellent food markets. The bus could be taken from several local stops, and it took me all the way to Changi and back. I am recommending it to as many people as I can.
