Great place for a day out with kids. The Forest Ramble and the water play area are a must go. Very well equipped with toilets, water coolers, and even vending machines that serve hot food. Do download the brochure of the location for easier navigation. It's a go to place for those living in the West. Very well designed open space for joggers, cyclists and families with children.

Had a nice walk here during weekday evening, it was pretty quiet and tranquil. The paths are very wide and spacious, while there are many trails at the same time. I love the views around the lake as it overlooks Chinese and Japanese gardens. This place is perfect for families to come to spend some quality outdoor time, there are plenty of benches to rest as well. Good photo spots are also all over, also good place to come with friends for a nice walk.

The landscape is a breath of fresh air, with its lush greenery, calm waters, and well-maintained walking paths. It is an ideal location for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and indulge in some much-needed peace and tranquility. As I strolled through the gardens, I couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over me. The serene atmosphere is perfect for activities such as reading, meditating, or simply sitting down to enjoy the picturesque views. It is also a great spot for a leisurely picnic with friends or family. However, it is worth mentioning that, despite the peaceful setting, it can be somewhat challenging to have a completely quiet experience at Lake Gardens. On my visit, I encountered a few individuals who were engaged in loud video calls or watching videos with the volume turned up high. This was somewhat disruptive to the otherwise serene environment, and it took away from the overall experience. That being said, my advice for anyone planning a visit to Lake Gardens would be to choose a time when there are fewer visitors around. This can greatly increase your chances of having a more undisturbed and relaxing experience. Early mornings or late afternoons during weekdays are usually less crowded, providing a more peaceful atmosphere. Despite the occasional disruption from other visitors, Lake Gardens remains a stunning and calming retreat that offers a much-needed respite from the daily grind. The beauty of the landscape and the soothing ambiance make it a location well worth visiting.

Fantastic nature park to rejuvenate the soul. With edible garden displays, beautiful boardwalks and the picturesque green hills, it’s a treat to take a stroll in the evening with your loved ones! Ideal for families and kids to picnic and try out the mini flying fox and trampoline!

The South end of the park is very very scenic. It's easily the most scenic park I have been to. Many people taking photos at the one tree hill and its surrounding grassland. There is a community garden where people rent plots and plant whatever they want. Very interesting to walk through it to see different types of vegetables, flowering plants and even banana and pineapple plants. The North end of the park consists of PA Water Venture, playgrounds and the entrance to the Chinese Garden. Fun place for children to be at. All in all, Jurong Lake Park is a huge place with things for everyone to see and do. So go there and explore the little tracks off the main pathways, you might find some interesting wildlife. There were many joggers, cyclists, walkers, families. It is very crowded during the weekend evening so if you were looking for a quiet park, or a nature spot, go there during weekday mornings or afternoons.

Such an amazing place for a late evening/night stroll. The wooden seats along the lake are well placed to just sit and look at the mrt trains pass by with the moon in the backdrop. Visited when the light installations were on display. It was amazing. Hope they repeat something similar this year as well. Very peaceful and well maintained.

It is a beautiful park with different types of flora and fauna. I love the butterfly maze. There are beautiful butterflies flying around there , just be careful of wasps and bees.

Awesome new park in singapore... can't wait for the Japanese and Chinese gardens to be completed so we can do a complete loop around the lake. Take time to check out the variety of flora and fauna there!

Jogging, brisk walking or even cycling, this is the go to park open to public. Quite recently,Jurong Lake Garden has also initiated AV for those who prefer to tour around the lake. Significant development and upgrade took place since I last visited this nature park. It was a pleasant surprise for me to bump into a “monitor lizard” look-alike, swimming near the lake bank. New year new me new exercise regime to keep myself healthy!

Went after circuit breaker lifted and it is nicely renovated and redesign with new look in 2020. The running path is wider and bicycle path clearly marked out. There is also Active Sg at end of the park with standard size pool. Certainly a cozy place to jog and run

This place has revamped so much that it was beyond recognisable. The added a lot of features for the public to come and soak in the vitamin Sun. There’s a place for everyone. Joggers, families, cyclist and even diners. The a far contrast from what it used to be. Back then only the young and adventurous would dare to come. Now it’s like one of the best nature parks in Singapore. Yeah!!

Big open spaces, green all around. Playgrounds and water play areas. A general lack of high rise buildings within eyeshot. It's hard to find places like these for the kids. We lived in Melbourne city some years back, near the Royal Children's Hospital, and Jurong Lake Gardens allowed us to relive some of those memories. We went around 10am on a sunny day, so regrettably, we didn't finish exploring everywhere. In fact, we only managed 1.5h before the kids overheated. We will be back, especially once the Japanese and Chinese gardens re-open fully. Bring: Umbrella or sunhats - there's precious little shade Water bottles Good shoes if walking, slippers if expecting water play. Insect repellent optional (but we didn't go in the evening, when insects get more active).

Visited Lakeside Garden at Jurong Lake Gardens on a Saturday morning. Seems like 80% of the park is ready and there were alot of new interactive elements in the park. Children above 5 and adults will enjoy the fly ground. There are different types of swings, seasaw, inclusive play. Saw many joggers and people walking their dogs too. The view is not bad but punggol and gbb does have better view. We had great fun and it's accessible, 5 mins walk from lakeside mrt.

A really beautiful park with a lot of greenery and free space to move about. There are different landscapes such as lawns , walking paths, cycling tracks, swamps, lakes, small green hills and ample broad space to walk about with your pets and even kids. It’s such a family friendly place and a great place for picnics. The picturesque views give a good opportunity for some instagramable pictures. The place is wheelchair accessible and baby friendly. Ample parking space is available and the wait time for taxis is also less in that area. However, there could be mosquitoes and small insects after around 6pm, so better be prepared with mosquito repellent.

Lovely gem of a botanical gardens with ample walking and cycling space! Gorgeous plants, lake and activities for children. Less crowded and more scenic than many other parks, which sometimes seem claustrophobic with too many eateries around. Beautiful spots for birdwatchers, photography enthusiasts, exercise geeks or anyone who appreciates the huge well-planned expanse of tropical plants. Don't miss out on the Lone Tree, which is actually made up of recycled twisted iron rods. Amazing sculpture, as you can see in my photos!

I loved it here. I went with my cousin and he is from Australia so it's his first time to Jurong Lake Gardens. We love gardening and agriculture, hence we visited the community gardening pots. I have to say it is so beautiful and open to everyone, with different variety of plants and flowers, to fruits as well.

Great park here in Jurong. A bit sunny when we arrived but not crowded at all. A lot of monitor lizards in this area and we even saw some of them fighting 😅. Overall a big park and easily accessible by MRT. Great for cycling and jogging especially in the morning and evening. Would come here again.

What an amazing space! Lovely and tranquil. Many different trails to take and lovely views too. And they have a great area for kids and doggies. Really fun. There’s a section of the garden where the public can rent plots of land to farm. What a great idea! I see a lot of salads! The restrooms are equipped with baby changing tables and hot water for milk. And drinks and food (hot, halal noodles) machines can be found at rest areas!

Huge, huge park. The recent rejuvenation of the park was done well. Kudos to NParks. Great place for both kids and adults. Play areas are aplenty including mini flying fox and wading pools. There's also several BBQ pits and dog runs. Two carparks serve the park. Highly recommended to visit.

This is definitely one of the better parks that I like in Singapore. If you ask me, I prefer to be there during night time compared to the hot weather in the daytime. Its so cooling and I like the night scenary. Tips: Best to bring your own water bottle and umbrella during the day. There is Starbucks and a restaurant in the park. I am sharing pictures of Lights in The park.

Went there for this year’s mid autumn LIGHTS BY THE LAKE. The light ups were nice. Without this event, it is a nice spacious space for the kids to play, cycle, scoot with a very fun playground and water area. There’s flying fox too! Children will love it!

Depending the time of the day, you might see different wild life in the park (by Singapore standards). The park is amazing that you can arrive in parts of the park where you don’t hear the sound of the city. A good place to chill and relax

Either go early morning before 9am or in the evening. Otherwise, it is going to be very hot. There are a few shaded area with toilet, water and food dispensers available. It's quite a big garden with few children play areas like trampolines, slides etc. Be prepared to walk a distance from MRT. Bus stop is nearer.

This is a huge park by any standard. It has many family friendly facilities to cater for all needs. My particular attraction to the park is for the huge amount of trees and vegetation that makes it a bird watching paradise.

A nice place for evening walks but may be too big to be covered solely by foot. Having a bicycle or roller shoes would be nice if your aim is to explore the entire garden. There is a portion for family and kid to enjoy as their playground as well (with trampolines, artificial(?) sand, etc). You get to see some nice flowers when exploring the place too, as well as the neighbouring Chinese garden structures.

Quite a relaxing place to meditate, jog/run/skate/cycle and pretty much every form of exercise. Calm soothing nature surrounds you and envelopes one from the adjacent city noises. You can either pack your picnic and enjoy in the many dedicated picnic and relaxing spots or grab a bite from the eateries inside to rest and settle down to wind down the day beside the water body. Recommend to go after 6 to enjoy the sunset and cool garden air.

This park has many fun facilities for kids and all to play with. The waterplay cove area still remain closed due to covid. Need to check the weather before coming as this park lacks shelters in the event of rainy weather.

The last time I was here was about 50 years ago when I was in secondary school. It is now much larger with Chinese and Japanese Gardens added. It is a nice place for morning and evening walks or jogs. Each section of the Garden has it's own unique character. Good that gravel paths are created to allow the public to explore beyond the pavements. Maintenance could of course be better for the lake and the children playground.

This is a good place for a short peaceful walk or picnic. I think there are nicer, bigger and more beautiful parks in Singapore but if you are bored of the same ones, then, Jurong Lake Gardens can be a nice change of pace. The Gardens are quite small and can be done in a couple hours or more if you stop a lot for pictures. As others have mentioned, the Japanese and Chinese Gardens are not open to the public due to construction.

Very beautifully landscaped. Jurong Lake Gardens cover quite a large area. However, adjacent Chinese gardens and Japanese gardens are still under reconstruction. Bicycle rental available nearby, has a large play area for children and lots of spots good for observing / immersing in nature

Nice and large park with plenty of paved walking paths. Some are near to the waters edge, while others are more into the tree area, offering a bit of shade. From the top area just off Lakeview MRT stop to the bottom and the circle turnaround and back is a good exercise distance. Some small disappointments: lots of areas are off limits or under construction, and the park just feels unfinished. It's too paved over already to feel like a wilderness area, but on the other hand out doesn't have the amenities and character of nice urban parks - Lumphini or Central Park as examples. Still worth a visit if you haven't been or need some variation for your run.

Love the easy , pleasant trail. Most exciting to see Fusion Spoon at the park which offers inexpensive meals and drinks.

Go for trekking with family and this is what i found bunch of beautiful flowers and encounter some creatures along the way. And also there have a playground for kids.

A huge park with wide paths and different features for young and old. Like the children's playground and the lone tree area. Suggest to park at the south car park. Bonsai exhibition required prebooking when we were there. So proceed there to book a slot first before exploring rest of the park.

Love going to Jurong Lake for my slow jogging, walking and taking beautiful scenery to brighten my days! A very beautiful park with peaceful feeling and also area for kids to have fun as well as area for dogs run. Cafe in there for us to take a rest and have some drinks and foods too. IG @mommyserene

The place looks quite nice, see plenty of people trying to take photos. It's doesn't look typical Singapore. I was there for the dog run and the ratings are bias towards the dog run. My biggest complain is lack of large trees or shelter, probably it will take time to grow but it was really hot. It's also kind of small compare to Bishan or Sembawang.

Nice place in the west. No need go east coast park. Still under development after so many years. Can be quite crowded in the evening.

An interesting garden located next to the Jurong Lake. Cool and breezy, nice morning walk. Highly recommended. Conveniently located next to MRT. Free early morning parking too

Nice greenery and gardens. Good for kids. Will be better once Japanese and Chinese Garden are open as they are linked to it. There's a cafe, Fusion Spoon which serves up decent international cuisines.

Best place for one to jog and play in the playground. People are nice there, and overall experience is very enjoyable. Just remember that there are A LOT of mosquitoes, and we need to apply mosquito repellent. There is a very nice light show during mid autumn this year. A lot of people there and it is very good for everyone to celebrate this special day for everyone.

Lived nearby but don't visit often, only when there's an event i.e Lights By The Lake 2022. In addition to the lighting displays, there also a concert, Music Under The Moonlight. Stayed only for the first part of the concert. Performance by band 2, 4 & 6. Very good performance by 3 talented performers. Will visit again next year.

Super peaceful place to walk rest or exercise. Has swimming pool although the staff are quite rude and unhelpful. It seemed they mostly wanted us to leave so they could go home early as well as seeming to be annoyed at every question we had even though it was mostly machine software problems. Still have to give the park 5 stars as it was simply beautiful and full of life and of general high quality. Well kept.

My main goal was visiting the Chinese garden, but it ended up with me to this garden. The entire place is nevertheless a very wonderful peaceful natural environment, where you genuinely can spend some good time. The services are mainly everywhere, which is very practical for the pedestrians as well as the cyclists. Moreover, you may find some coffee shops on the sidewalk. It is recommended for the families, groups, and even though individuals to spend some wonderful time.

Excellent place with scenic views to spend time in the evening. Children can enjoy in the playgrounds in different areas, adults can go for a long walk, cycling, swimming. Still construction 🚧 works ongoing in Chinese and Japanese gardens.

A nice neighbourhood park to stroll. Quite scenic, fairly shady and some interesting plants. We lucked out this morning at this park, when we spotted a Great Egret in the water and a pair of Hornbills high up in the trees. It’ll be even better if there are more water coolers around especially in our hot weather.

Its fun and beatiful to walk around. Good to bring children, let them explore the gardens. Happen to have event that weekend, make it more meaningful.

Starts from Lake Gardens MRT, walk along the promenade to explore the vast greenery that takes you all the way to the Southern Promenade. The Southern part of the lake is tranquil and peaceful. Overall an enjoyable experience. Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden are under renovation at the time of this review. Lakeside Gardens offer a different experience as compared to Gardens by the Bay and definitely worth a visit especially during sunset.

We went to Clusia Cove, this place is perfect for family weekend hangout. Best to have the kids dressed up in proper swimming attire though. Plenty of carpark n a nice restaurant nearby called Fusion place. The Fusion Place has a wide selection from asian to western and service was AMAZING! Friendly staff and bistro prices.

This lake/garden is quite old but it has been regularly updated. The grounds are clean and adorned with many plants and some sculptures. It makes for a pleasant but brief walk. There are signs indicating local wildlife. We did see a monitor lizard and some birds.

Beautiful and tranquil gardens in the western part of Singapore, replete with cycling and walking trails for walkers, cyclists and exercise enthusiasts, with a massive playground and water play area for children and families... highly recommended...

Lovely place. Off peak days are the best to head there. Serene and calm. Some areas still under renovations but it does not disturb the serenity of the garden as a whole.

  • 4/5 Faiz R. 7 months ago on Google
Fantastic place to chill, exercise and hangout with fellow friends and family. The area offers multiple scenic areas (ponds, gardens, walkway, bridges) in which you can enjoy the view. Apparently, there are water activities (kayaking) that is possible as there is a docking bay within the park. The park also offers basic amenities and services (toilet, vending machines, cafe, shelters) where you can refuel after a long day. It is also situated near to a MRT (5 mins walk to Lakeside Garden). A new Starbucks has recently opened with fantastic view. With that being said, here are the cons, some of seats are unsheltered (artificial/trees) which means that it is exposed to either the sun or rain at any given point of day. The construction of Japanese and Chinese Garden is still ongoing and unknown when it is bound to be completed. It is rather unsightly to take photos with construction equipment and tools in the background. Nevertheless, it is still a great place to go to for any kind of activity.

The kids play area is quite good. Definitely 4-stars for a public amenity park. The equipment is modern and the gardens around them are well maintained. The weekends could get really cramped up with residents of the west. Thankfully there is a Starbucks and a food clique restaurant inside. Some food packed is better if you'd want to prevent walking all the way back once you've walked into the thick of the trail.

Was here for the mid autumn festival light up. The lights are nice and the decorations are beautiful. But nothing can compare to the Food Street. Having a food street among the decorations is beneficial so that our tummies can be fed as well!!

Me really enjoyed this place very much. It had bicycle track and bicycle for rent, river for kids to had fun, skateboard, got place for picnic, lantern festival event. You will love it if you are the nature lovers

Only went at night to see #lightsbythelake2023 but now want to go back to check out this lovely space by day. From what I could see, there are great paths for walking, cycling, or whatever your mode of (human-powered) transport is, cool playgrounds for the kiddos, and awesome views all round.

You will have a pleasant and relaxing experience at the Jurong Lake Gardens.Nice place to walk, exercise and breathe fresh air. A refreshing far cry from the dense concrete urban Singapore. Also food and drinks are available at the food court which has been set up there facing the lake. Jurong Lake Gardens is the main highlight of the Jurong residential and commercial region. A must visit place !!
