I used to stay at this area in the since 1988. We use to do jogging and spent time chit chat between Chinese Garden & Japanese Garden. Bring back memories. Beautiful place to do walking , cycling and just have picnic in the evening. 👍👌🧧🍸Now some the the signboard creative coating was done by us. 🤭🙏🙂

A very nice garden and park for a stroll or some exercises. Great place to spend time with your family. Lots of spots for picnics and games. Many playgrounds with good facilities. There are also broadwalks that take you right over the water.

Love this place ! Ideal place for kids to play, spend their energy and sleep fast and well in the evening. After going there once, my daughter wants to go there every Sunday 😀 We didn't do picnic in the park but we would love to for our next time here. Then a full afternoon of play at the playground: trampoline, slide, monkey net, balancing on a wooden trunk... There is a place at the entrance of the playground to park your bike or scooter. There are toilets with drinking machine, a good shelter when it rains also.

I kind of forget that I have been here since primary or secondary school until my friend reminded me of the "chinese garden" term. Then memories of that crushed upon me oh I used to come here 20+ years ago! Although the chinese monuments are under renovation, this place is still worth visiting for garden stroll with your loved ones and friends! I didn't really like west side as I am more of an east person but until today it appears that getting a housing near this lake could be a possibility! There is a special plot of land that you can rent for hundreds plus a year and you can grow all you want! Cucumber, chillies, bitterguord, potato 🍂 and many more. Strolled for 3km from top to bottom on a sat morning with wife and good friend who stayed nearby then had breakfast at taman jurong before walking back! Amazing experience. Cheers

I love it but because of some issues the lake point was closed. From my house I can see the lake. And if I go th the other part it has a different one.

Have to say I’m very impressed by the view even on middle high floor. Not much such views in Singapore where u stay direct to greens and lake without crossing the roads!

You will feel like you are very close to nature. Very near to lakeside MTR, 500 meters. If you are able to walk, then very well otherwise rented cycles are also available. Lots of things are there for kids. They will love it.

Beautiful place to stroll, rest, hangout and get some fresh air. With many play grounds, activity areas and hangout spots. A few areas are quite scenic. It's a bit big ( but not huge) so you should cycle or scoot about to enjoy it fully.

Beautiful garden in the west. It is different from other parks in Singapore with the beautiful lake that gives plus points for those looking for a different side of Singapore, away from the hustle and bustle, crazy built up areas and traffic. You will feel rejuvenated here.

Jurong Lake Gardens is a place full of a wide varieties of plants, animals such as birds, squirrel, lizards, etc. It is an ideal place for family outing, couples dating, solo's trekking, cycling. There is also a swimming pool found within, and a gym nearby too.

Enjoying my Mr. Bean’s Oatmeal with Rice Ball and my Egg Mayo Pancakes after a quiet stroll at Lake Gardens. Was too fascinated with the view that have to stop, eat my snacks first while looking at the beautiful lake. Very affordable and of course good to have some hot oatmeal with this non-stop rain. As Mr.Bean’s said Life’s Simple Pleasure😍 Enjoy and let’s stroll again later🥰

The light up was worth travelling to the west! However, it can get crowded and there are some trees that block the light up from taking good pictures. But, for the fact that it is FOC, it is worth it! Do be aware that the light up will only be around till the 3rd of Jan 2021.

The beauty about this Garden is that it is on the lake side. I went to a garden after so long. The fresh air near the lake refreshed my soul. Rest, it have everything what a garden have but having this lake on it's side increases its value.

Nicer than I expected with all the displays! Feels like mid autumn festival all over again. Can't travel overseas nevermind, can come here visit the small small world to bask in some iconic scenes from overseas! Nice place to spend 30-60min stroll. Nicer than botanic gardens due to the spaciousness in my opinion.

Good place for early morning , evening exercise . Day time tends to get a bit too warm . There are vending machines that sells food and drinks in the area as well as toilet and water coolers. Do watch out for bicycles and small buggy in the parks. Large variety of plants and some pathway along the lake for walking . Also might catch occasional sighting of otters playing in the lake.

  • 5/5 Ñôòř Ąźmî . 3 years ago on Google
Well made park after the "make over" from the old one. Very scenic. Nice park for photography. Good playground for kids and family. Theres kids waterplay as well, with toilets nearby. Might spot a family of otters in the lake too. Best park in Jurong for sure.

This place is good spot for strolling and spend qulity time with family. You can do cycling also here, the route is quite good. The roads are wide enough for pedestrian and cyclist. View is like usual park. It is supposed to connect with Chinese Garden (which close for renovation until end of 2021). Park is family friendly, not so hard to find vending machine and toilet. Toilet and vending machine are located in each building that can be seen in map. The only restaurant I can find here is Fussion Spoon. To explore all of area, it will take approximately 2-3 hours.

Lakeside Garden is one of our favourite places to visit. It has lots of greeneries, spacious and beautiful garden. There is a section of playground for kids too with sand play. We normally see people roller blading, scooting, jogging and riding bicycle. This must be one of their favourite place to exercise while enjoy the greenery. Not forgetting there is a big grass patch for people to play frisbee etc... Overall, a good outdoor garden ?

  • 5/5 piqued w. 3 years ago on Google
Superb place to go! If u r feeling down and out, have a walk slowly around the place. Although not all is open, the place will still mesmerize you. The nature smell from the plants, the beautiful fountains and such will definitely leave u in awe. Currently, entry is free and worth every $ of travelling here even if u r from the east side if SG.. If you are a nature lover, then this is the place to go. Fyu, there are vending machines inside for a short snack/drinks if you are tired. ??. Dont just take my word for it, try and take a look.

Park facilities and landscaping has been improved a lot over the years and it seems more development works are still underway. Great place to chill out and get away from the hustle and bustle, especially on a weekday when there are less crowds.

  • 5/5 Ron WZ S. 3 years ago on Google
Had brunch at FUSHION SPOON @Jurong Lake Garden or Lakeside Garden. I ate the Nasi Lemak Rendang Beef, while my wife ate the rendang chicken. Food pricing was above traditional hawker centre's, but to me, slightly below touristy rates. Took a walk after brunch to enjoy the lake view, and watched the dragon boat competition... A nice place to relax although it can be very sweaty under the scorching sun...

What can families do here? Top 5 fabulous outdoor activities for children in Jurong! 1) Try out the playground of course! The flying fox and and swings are definitely the first place my kids run towards. These facilities are fairly new and well maintained. 2) Cycle! Compared to other parks nearby, lakeside park offers a more scenic and friendly route for kids and families. It can still get a little crowded on weekends but nothing like in Bishan Park. Can rent a bicycle near BLK 353 at around 8 bucks an hour. Company is Gocycling. But do be warned that there are certain parts in the park that you cannot cycle. 3) Send your kids for a rollerblading classes while you work out! Didn't know skating was so popular in Singapore! We started to become regular visitors of this place now ever since the kids and I decided to take up rollerblading classes here. These rollerblading lessons come highly recommended by our fellow expat friends from Canadian International School. We were really excited to learn that kids as young as four can actually start to learn skating here. This place is particularly friendly to skaters due to the nice big space to practise. There are weekend holiday camps organised by two skate schools here. Try inline fitness and skate with us. Fees are reasonable and group sizes are alright. Do check out their websites for class schedules before you go down. 4)Bird Watching - we spotted a kingfisher while cycling and there are always waterbirds wondering around on the morning. Best to come on weekdays morning for this. 5) Fishing! This is another surprise for us. Spotted some friendly gentlemen fishing here. That really caught me by surprise! Do check out the fishing spots and do your homework before coming down e.g. wheretofish and fishing kaki forum.
