A fairly linear and shady neighbourhood park, along the PCN, connecting to various nearby parks (e.g. Zhenghua Nature Park, Chestnut Nature Park, Bukit Panjang Park) and various trails for hiking and cycling. Popular with families, joggers and cyclists. Very lush greenery, providing good shade in the morning. Nice scenic nature view along the trail. A sandy children's playground and a fitness corner along it. Seems narrower and with some steep slopes at some parts. So do look out for other park users when cycling. A little noisy with BKE just beside it, but this park acts as a green buffer for the nearby HDB and other residential developments. Will visit again, and maybe explore the Chestnut Nature park trails it is connected to.

It is a long park, and it is connected to Chestnut Nature Park and Bukit Panjang Park Connector. So, there are plenty of trails to hike! A haven for hikers. I like this park because there are tall trees lined along the pathway, making it very cool and shaded even when you are exercising late in the morning or afternoon. There are playgrounds and exercise corners located along the park, too. Do be careful as I have encountered monkeys and wild boars while exercising there. Just keep your distance and leave them alone.

Interesting trail from Hillview MRT station to Mandai via PCN. Too many reckless cyclists though.

Walked from Hillview MRT, Dairy Farm Park, Wallace Trail, made a left turn to Zhenghua park and ended at Bukit Panjang Hawker Centre. The entire 3.5km walk took me about 45mins. Though it was a Sat at 7ish in the morning, the trail was not crowded. You have the option of being in the shade but next to the expressway or you can choose to walk along the open grass area where you will be exposed to the sun. A peaceful walk before I headed to the hawker centre for my $0.60 coffee and $2.50 Nasi Lemak. For those who have not gone up the Chestnut Observation Tower, do make a detour to go up and enjoy the view.

Totally lurve this nature park, perfect for beginner hikers too. If you’re lucky, you can spot wild boars as well. It’s a well shaded park with a lot of trees, so you don’t have to worry about the scorching sun if you plan to go in the middle of the day. It’s connected to chestnut nature park, but be sure how to get there as I almost walked into the bike trail instead.

Nice park to walk even during the hot afternoon because the park is shaded by lots of trees. The path is well maintained and some part of the park can be a challenging because of the steep slope to walk up.

The long narrow Zhenghua Park runs parallel to BKE. Residence are blessed as the park serve as a buffer to the noisy BKE traffic, yet at the same time provide a green space for them to enjoy. The park is shady with noticeably tall trees.

Simple park on its own. The only downside is that it is just beside an expressway. Other than that, you can see wildlife in this small little park like roosters, monitor lizards, snakes, squirrels. It also connects to dairy farm trail for trekking to bukit timah hill

Went for a brisk walk around 8 pm and almost about to stamp the gold ringed cat snake along the Zhengua Park connector path and had goose bumps when saw the snake coiled up so close in front of me, with a small mouse held in its mouth. A Chinese lady was so scared to cross the snake area and I told her to hold my hand and helped her to cross by walking around the side mud area. The lady scared me again by screaming when I helped to cross the place where the snake was coiled up! Another goose bump created by her :-) Later I pushed the snake away from the walkway using a long piece of broken tree branch found nearby and the snake quickly moved away from the walk path, with its head held a bit high from the ground and smoothly gliding away with the little mouse in its mouth, which was making helpless screeching sound in its predator mouth! A bit scared to hear the sound at that hour with darkness surrounding that area. Later on as I started moving and on the way I warned the other people to look out for any snake on the pathway as the area was very dark with the lights being covered up by the tree branches. I would strongly suggest NEA to always lookout for such tree branches covering the lights and trim down the branches to have clear visibility for people going for a night walk / jog. This was the 3rd time I encountered snakes just in front of my shoes. Previous time was a few years back in the snake year (exactly on the day of CNY itself), while walking with my family in the evening time in the same pathway nearby, a black shiny snake slithered away in front of us. Another time it was near the Pangsua pond area, where there is a wooden bridge very near to the pond with rocks below in the wooded area. That time was a late evening time and darkness was about to set-in and a very long black shiny snake quickly passed in front of me (I almost about to step on it as I was jogging very slowly) and quickly it ran down to the rocky area. I remember it was the time period when the trees / bushes clearance works were on-going to build the current gym area along the pond. So believe the snake was trying to run for a better cover area due to clearance works. Anyhow the experience in and around Bukit Panjang area with snakes can't be forgotten easily and it is always etched in my mind and appears so vivid as if it happened now. Hope those reading this message will watch out for any snakes particularly based on my experience it is the evening time onward they may be moving out for finding food or going for their evening walk;-) Cheers! Kiran!

Zhenghua Park, my neighborhood gem, offers serene and scenic walks. It serves as a gateway to Bukit Timah and Choa Chu Kang, providing access to nearby attractions. I often use these routes to extend my walks or explore the neighboring areas. It's a fantastic way to discover new places and enjoy the beauty of nature in different settings. The park is perfect for exercise, family gatherings, and dog-friendly fun. It's a must-visit destination for tranquility and nature lovers.

Zhenghua Park is a park with hiking and biking trails that connect to a network of trails stretching to the Bukit Timah forest reserve. Because there are so many trails, you can choose how far to walk/cycle. While the trails are secluded at times, they are not too far from the main roads, so you won't get lost. You can see where you are on Google maps. This is one trail that I took, which took me about 90 minutes including stopping to take pictures. The Observatory is a nice place to go as it's windy this time of year. If you enjoy hiking, this is a nice area to explore.

Jogged at 11pm...very quiet. Not suitable for single females unless with additional company. Saw a wild boar and flying squirrel. Pretty awesome feeling. Overall not bad place to visit except that it can be really isolated during wee hours so not advisable for females alone.

Pleasant park connector, with many up and down hills trek. Shady and nicely maintained, unfortunately it is beside the BKE, making it a bit noisy from the expressway's noise pollution. There is a fitness corner and playground along the way, handy for those who want to stop for static workout. There is a side track underneath a flyover leading to the Chestnut Nature Park. Beware of a couple of stray dogs that have been prowling there for a few generation. Not threatening to humans but may charge towards you if you are walking your dogs.
