Peaceful and calm. It is a great place to hangout and talk with your family. I enjoyed the beautiful lake and of course wonderful plants. I really liked the way they presented the information to us.It is also a good place for fishing and hiking. Overall,I recommend this place.

Saw wildlife photographers tossing bread at fish to bait out kingfishers. But most importantly observed a monkey jacking off in broad daylight. Nice escape from the mundane repetitiveness of day to day Singapore life

1 of 2 quarry at this area, this is more picturesque compared to the other. Getting here is not difficult, there are signages place appropriately throughout so suitable for families to spend their half day away from the city. I like how this area is well preserved, pretty awesome for those coming here the first time. There is a pavilion at the side if you wish to seek shelter from the hot sun and take a break. Good place to come here for a different breathe of environment.

Closest entrance will be Jalan Asas side on Rail Mall. A short 5-10 min walk will lead you here. Along the way will pass by the dedicated mountain bike trail (ie not for hikers). Possible spot for bird watching

Dairy Farm Quarry was filled and the level surface is turfed, unlike the other quarries in Singapore which each feature a pond. The rockface is spectacular. Unfortunately I see many photos and reviews here which show the nearby Singapore Quarry instead.

A really great place to see the great quarry and away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. The place can get a tad bit crowded with all the birdwatchers but it gives it some life! Besides the quarry, the trail towards it has some nice fauna and path for you to hike! The weather can be quite punishing in the afternoon but the trail isn't that long. Overall, if you're around the area for the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, do take a trip down here to see Singapore's most popular quarry and you won't be disappointed

If you're hoping to be wowed by the likes of Guilin in China, you'll be sorely disappointed. The quarry itself is pretty small and unremarkable; the viewing stand is small, and there's really nothing much to see. The 4 star rating I'm giving, is for the walk leading to the quarry. It's a lovely hike, even on a hot day, and depending on your luck, you may come across all sorts of animals. The air is fresh, and is a nice walk if you want some peace and quiet.

A nice short trek will bring you to this amazing view away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was quite crowded on a Saturday morning when we visited. Many photography enthusiasts were also there hoping to catch sight of birds in the area. Do check it out if you wanna clock in some steps while getting close to nature

We have travelled far and wide to experience the vastness of nature in all its beauty - it never stops surprising. We stand in awe, even if its just a minute minute fraction of what we would experience in the nature reserves overseas in a matter of minutes, instead of hours. Keeping in mind that we are on our little red dot, we have to agree that it's inspiring experience, - it's like a carved-out art piece of nature, given the limited land resource SG has. Until you take just that one moment to soak in its beauty and appreciate it, everything in a blink of an eye is over... Put on your tracking shoes and experience it yourself... Perhaps over a quite weekday... Weekends tend to be crowded 🤦 it is Singapore after all 😊✌️ *Our photos are not representive of our experience. Wish we could have uploaded our video as well*

(Translated by Google) Interesting place. A wide asphalt road leads to the quarry, only a small unpaved area. Very easy access. There are no steps. You can start from Carpark A or from Asas entrance (there is a playground next to it). Pedestrians are not allowed on the mountain bike trail. (Original) Интересное место. К карьеру ведет широкая асфальтированная дорога, только небольшой участок без покрытия. Очень легкий доступ. Ступенек нет. Начать можно от Carpark A или от Asas entrance(около него есть детская площадка). По mountain bike trail проход пешеходам запрещен.

It is a small cozy place for a light walk. Over here, you can ride your bicycles here, have a stroll and even jog! This is a quiet and peaceful place filled with fresh air. From the start to the end it is about a half an hour walk. At the end you can see a quarry with a very stunning view. You can also see koi fish in the quarry and see dragonflies hovering on the surface of the water.

One of the best view point in Singapore. surrounded by high cliffs and high trees, you may feel you are not in Singapore if you are there. There are a lot of MTB riders enjoying dirt road riding and some passes are only for MTB.

Gd escape from the bustling city sounds. Monitor lizard, terrapins and fishes can be found swimming at the quarry

Nice walk to enjoy the views out over the old Quarry, which gives another lease of life to local nature in the area. A perfect spot to rewind and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. The cut-through to the Rail Corridor was a great discovery.

Nice experience. Nice walk along the Bukit Timah Rail Corridor to lead you to this quiet hide-out. On top of quarry is actually Bukit Timah Nature Reserve summit. Very thoughtful for Nparks to build a pavilion there for anyone to rest while enjoying the view. There's even an AED placed there for emergency⛑! Just a short walking distance away from the Quarry and you can shortcut through to The Rail Mall for your after-walk varieties of food and drinks. How cool is that 😋✌. Ps: gate to quarry opens only at 8am.

A very nice natural picturesque place to visit. 8AM to 5:30PM. One can see beautiful fishes, monkeys, Iguanas, flowers. Have to walk through forest for about 1 km. Enjoy the beauty of nature.

This place is really nice and tranquil. The water is green and dull unfortunately but overall quite nice. There's a sheltered spot at the Quarry that you can rest at. It's accessible from a pathway from Hillview MRT station. Its a bit of a walk so don't expect it to be near, but its worth it. Avoid weekends as it can get crowded.

This is one of the most beautiful place in Dairy Farm Nature Park to visit with tranquility, a pictureque view of the quarry. Very cool and windy to take a break as well as bird watching and fish lookout in the pond. There is a shelter to rest and avoid rain or sun. You can easily cut through to rail corridor via the Singapore Quarry Bridge

Opening time 8am to 6 pm. One day I visited very early in the morning, it was closed. So today I visited around 10.30. Nice views. Shade is also there.

I was just hoping to stop by after seeing Hindhede Quarry but it really does not open before 8 am so perhaps I will try another time. You can access it from Dairy Farm Nature Park or the Rail Corridor. The latter access point is via the quarry bridge, which then leads to a small trail. Quite a fun little discovery. (2nd photo shows the trail meeting the pavement within DFNP.) Note: you cannot get to Singapore Quarry from the trail within BTNR.

An easy walk from Rail Mall leads to this beautiful & scenic spot, now known as the Singapore Quarry. Along the way to the quarry, don't forget to look out for wildlife of this nature reserve such as monkeys, monitor lizards and birds

Really peaceful and scenic spot. The walk upto it is also very nice as it cuts through a forest.

  • 5/5 Chun Wui T. 5 months ago on Google
Often quiet spot that doesn't quite have the clarity of water, and thus beauty, as the Hindhede Quarry but is certainly more facilitative of the sort of pensive reflection one might wish to engage in when enjoying nature. That and Springleaf Prata and the rest of Rail Mall make for tasty snacks/meals nearby when you're done reflecting.

Nice trail for early morning walks. Gets too hot for me in the afternoon. Weekdays are quieter. Crowded on weekends and it’s noisy too due to the throngs of people. I only go there in the mornings. Check out my video to see what the place’s like...?? Oh yes! There’s a couple of really weird trees along the way... anyone knows the name?

The Singapore Quarry is a great place to come and relax during your stay in Singapore, as the water is surrounded by trees and makes for a calming destination. The Singapore Quarry is also a popular hiking spot with a number of walking trails around the quarry where you can enjoy a quiet stroll.

The finale stop after hiking from the railway. Away from city hustle and bustle. A relaxing walk under the shade of trees. The weather is hot on Good Friday! But the mind feels refreshed. #DairyFarm # SingaporeQuarry #Railway

An abandoned quarry - Singapore Quarry, hiding away in the Dairy Farm Nature Reserve area. Accessible from Rail Mall via an asphalt / Granite road formally serving the quarry. Quiet and tranquil. Will maintained access road affords easy accessibility. Look out for the monkeys enroute, as they may snatch food from your hands. So I would suggest that you keep food away from sight.

Rustic countryside, rugged quarry face, a huge jade-green pool surrounding us on the deck. There's always this light fragrance of the pandan plants all around.

  • 5/5 Samuel S. 3 years ago on Google
You can access this place from a trail. The closest MRT station would be Hillview. After a short hike over rocky terrain, you reach this expanse of grassland. It is a serene area, and perfect for a picnic, especially in the areas that are shaded by the quarry.
