Written date: 20/12/2020 Nice Park for a stroll especially if you are in Jurong West area. It is behind the JTC Jurong Innovation District. When I went there around there was hardly anyone in the evening. If you are someone looking for a less crowded area, this could be an option. There are water fountains and washroom. Next to it is the Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle. For evenings, it would be helpful is you carry an insect repellent spray or something of that sort. Also, good to carry some light snacks if you plan to take time out there. However, the nearest bus stop is far and would be about 1 km. Some of the views in the park is very scenic, especially the small creek. But it is a small one, so one can easily cover it quickly, unless one plans to explore the pottery too.

Very calm and quiet place. One thing I want to mention there is no Anywheel parking QR near to the park. Recently blue eared kingfisher is sited here, so you can find many big cameras 📷. One big potter shop is also there adjacent to the park.

There's generally three parts to this truly Eco-garden: a pristine, easy to walk around lakes and ponds lined with tropical florals, faunas, boardwalks and sculptures with a good facility resthouse at the center; then there's a 1km safe hike thru' a natural, tropical jungle forest; and craft workshops on pottery that dotted the area, one that features the only Chinese traditional dragon kiln in Singapore. Must slather exposed skin with traditional medicated oil to ward off mosquitoes in the forest. Expect to see birds, koi fishes, occasional wild boars, monkeys, bats and natural habitats of our forest. Currently, the noise from the neighbouring building constructions do mar the otherwise serene atmosphere and so is the BIG around about walk next to a noisy highway before getting to the entrance of the park.

The park has been around since the infancy of Woodlands New Town in 1986-87. The pond, lush greenery, stone bridge, and Oriental pagodas set a very serene environment for leisure walks or jog along it's winding path. There have been a handful of enhancements made to the park over the years, including the addition of playgrounds, exercise stations, paths, and additional broadwalks allowing visitors to get closer to the pond. The park feels more open than before but still has ample shaded path and resting areas. There is also a coffee shop on site.

A sparsely visited garden with a rustic charm on the edge of a clean tech industrial park, with accessible paths and boardwalks to the edge of a small lake. Quietness is interrupted only by noise from adjacent construction site. For a park this size, its plus point is having fairly well-maintained and modern washroom facilities and a fitness corner for calisthenics. Parking is the greatest issue- there are free lots at the very end of the road at a research facility that require you to skit down a grassy slope and cross a (usually dry) stream bed to access the park, or otherwise park along double yellow lines on the main road if you need to get to the accessible entrance (wheelchairs, baby strollers).

Formerly known as Woodlands Town Garden, the Marsiling Park was constructed sometime in the 1980s. That was much earlier than the construction of the BKE. The park has more activities going on back then. There was a floating restaurant and small outlets for handicraft such as making of leather products.

I used to visit the park rather often a couple of years ago, it's a nice and peaceful place. Tried to go back last weekend but barely took a few steps on the path and saw a family of wild boars....

Nice park hidden away from the neighbourhood at Jurong west. Nobody was there when I went there in the morning of a PH. I walked there from the jalan bahar road, followed the map and walked a big round through JTC cleantech. Place is under construction, the summit is blocked but other areas are ok. Probably a nice place for birdwatchers too! Very nice swamp area, got romantic vibes

It used to be very peaceful, good for macro, birds photography. However as there is development going on nearby, the quiet nature is disturbed. The nature trail will be gone in 2019.

Nice place to visit. Once. Not much to do there either. Construction ongoing. So might have some sound pollution occasionally. Not recommended to bring bicycle or wheelchair as its not that wheel-friendly at the inner part of that garden. Can bring them in till the first part.

  • 4/5 Sampath M. 4 years ago on Google
This is a small garden and completely isolated from residential estate. So, there were no much visitors when I was there. However, it's a good place for those who want relax. I saw a guy was sleeping peacefully on a bench! , a girl was doing exercise and a old lady on her wheel chair was sight seeing and relaxing. There is a toilet for man and women seperatly, but please watch the signboard carefully. Since the hand wash area is open, you enter wrong toilet. Other than that I never see any wildlife as stated on notice board there. This may due to some ongoing construction works around that area. Don't forgot to buy a bag of bread if you like fish feeding. There are plenty of them.

It's a quiet garden with few visitors, and it's difficult to reach. But for local people it is a nice place to hang around for the early evening. Many people bring their dogs for a walk. The only downside is the mosquito.

It is a very big garden as there is all types of flowers and there are different type of water sources and even my school did cross country over there! We did an water investigation there too! The place has alot of things to do and it is an clean area but the transportation is quite hard as the garden is very inside so you have tk walk for a few minutes to get to the bus stop! You can even get lost easily so prepare your data to use the google map :)

Lovely garden and nature trail. No dedicated carpark though - we parked at Thow Kuan Kiln but you can also park at either of the CleanTech buildings. We entered the Nature Trail by the Rock Sculpture side and there is a stream there, and the terrain itself is rather easy but note that the other end of the trail isn't as connected to the park. We ended up by a roadside somewhere that didn't have signs. There's some construction going on, hopefully they are further developing the Nature Trail side.

Decent but very small park. However, if you do not have any insect repellant with you, good luck. The mosquitoes attack in swarms of more than 10 and there are clusters after clusters of sand flies. Going there after the sun sets is probably a very bad idea since you won't be able to spot the sand flies. I went there, stopped for a minute, got attacked, took out my repellant and started spraying generously all over myself. Took about 2 mins in all but counted 17 mosquito bites hahaha. If you are visiting, kindly remember to bring insect repellant and keep your eyes open for the sand flies. 🙏🙏

Forgotten by Nparks? A whole troop of at least 10 mosquitoes descended upon me when I stopped under the tree outside the restroom area for a quick stretch - and followed me relentlessly even as I moved at least 10 metres away. Reported this to NEA who responded and claimed to have removed the breeding source. Let's see if the situation improves thereafter in this small park, a situation I don't encounter in the other nature parks in Singapore eg. Macritchie, rail corridor etc. Broken fixtures eg broken/ missing wooden panels can be seen all around the park which is centred around a lake filled with unsightly brown coloured water - the feeling one gets is that the place has been forgotten and forsaken by the relevant authorities after welcoming it with great fanfare a few years ago. I may be wrong but it looks like the ongoing construction works are disposing their waste water into the lake. What a waste of public funds - Nparks should be utterly ashamed to have allowed a park to slip into such a state.

  • 2/5 Alex L. 2 years ago on Google
Located at a remote area and the car park for the park is hidden and quite difficult to find. Relatively a small park with a pottery factory located in the park. I don't think is worth the travel just to visit the park unless you happen to be around the area. Be cautious, there's tons of mosquitoes around the park readily to attack you. You don't see one but swamps of them near your body. So please bring whatever you have to go on war with mosquitoes.

It was a clear and windy day for a walk to Jurong Eco Garden. From Boon Lay Mrt station, a short walk to the bus interchange to board bus service 199 for Nanyang Ave. Alighted after seeing CleanTech building. Took the pathway across the building, cross the road for a short walk to CleanTech3 building. From there, there is a link to Jurong Eco Garden. Passing the Dragon Kiln is the Eco Garden. The entire walk is quite short, it took probably abt 1 hour. There are still construction works going on and some areas are blocked out. The water system in the restrooms uses recycled water from the garden. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant walk and a visit to the Dragon Kiln was quite an experience if one is interested in pottery.

👍👍 I was here in March 2021. It was such a lovely sunny day so I decided to come there by bus. When you get off the bus, you might need to walk for around 10 to 15 minutes as I recalled. But don’t worry, just follow the arrow, you will reach there soon. At first, I thought it is just a outdoor display...
