Probably the nicest beach in Singapore. It is the best to me because it's clean, well sheltered with gentle waves and very clean water. Yacht may come into the bay and berth there for some fun. There is only a single sheltered pavilion near by and no fresh water supply here. So if u plan to spend a day or even a night, be well prepared. I have spend a night here and its a Great experience!

Went there with my colleagues during the March school holiday. The ferry going there was overcrowded (on a weekday), due to covid travel restrictions. We disembark at St John's Island. Surprisingly, it was not crowdes at the islands. We walked to Lazarus Beach, ard 10mins. Found a nice shady spot under a tree, we unpacked and set up a tent. Becareful with ur food as there are lots of monkeys ard. The white sandy beach (reclaimed) and quite clear blueish/turquoise water is inviting. Best beach in Spore. Check the weather forcast and tide time before coming here. Nearest toilet to Lazarus beach is at the Seringat Island pier. Abt 5mins walk. Need to queue. Only 1 toilet available. There's 2 more toilets at St John's Island. One of them is near the main lagoon, on top of a low hill. There's shower and WC. Waters around Lazarus and St John's are quite nice and clear during high tide. Would love to snorkel at St John's Island lagoon next time. Things to bring: food and drinks, ground sheet, sun block, insect repelent or mosquito patch

We took the first ferry at 10am on Thursday. It was filled up quickly even though it was a weekday. Heard that it is crowded on weekends and will need to queue for ferry. We reached St John island slightly before 1030am, took a 10-15mins walk to Lazarus and we were the first few that arrived on the beach so we were able to find a nice shady spot to set up our tent. So be there early! Water is so clear and calm. Canโ€™t believe this part of Singapore exists. Perfect sunny day for a swim, picnic and BBQ! Since there isnโ€™t any food or drinks available on the island, we packed our own lunch and water. And yes you can also bring your dogs here. There are toilet/shower facilities, just needa look up on the map. Please bring your own trash bags and refrain from littering this beautiful beach! We managed to take the 3pm ferry back to the pier. Will certainly stay longer next time!

As mentioned by the other reviewers, this has to be one of the best beaches in Singapore. White sandy beach, without loud music, or piles of rubbish. Civil minded crowd, they bag their own trash, keeping things clean for others that come. The beach has designated camp sites, which you can book at Singapore Land Authority website for an overnight stay. Do note that there are no toilets at the beach, but the nearest toilets are about 5-10 mins away at the Seringat pier. It's a definite place for those wanting to sunbath.

The water is quite clear but there's lots of rubbish and even oily debris in the water. There's only a single toilet at the pier nearby but that's still a bit of a walk. No shower facility here which is a big letdown too. Otherwise it's a very quiet beach especially during the weekdays.

This tranquil island is truly recommended for everyone to visit. At the start of this trip, you will be given a ferry schedule for island transfer and back to the port. First stop will be St. John then you just need to walk going to St. Lazarus. Schedule going to Kusu island is usually in the afternoon. Please be reminded that no washroom available in St. Lazarus. The beach area has a very clear/clean water and fine sand. Can just lie down under trees, relax and be free from the hustle and bustle life. I really had a great and relaxing time in the island and will visit again soon๐Ÿคž

Nice beach for picnic with family. The most inconvenient is there is no restroom/wc around. If you want, you need to return St. John island.

Amazing experience! Must visit if you can take out an entire day. On weekday the crowd is really low so you can experience a private beach. No food or water on the island so carry your stuff to enjoy the day

Always a fun experience at Lazarus Island. The beach & cove is definitely the best part of the island. Very clean waters and white sand beach; a rarity in Singapore. Great for picnics and a leisurely day out. Also good for fishing. Watch out for mosquitos and sandflies! Also spotted some monkeys, so be wary when picnicking.

The waters are relatively clean, and clearer than mainland Singapore. Be sure to bag your own trash and never litter at the place. Great place for a dip and some sun. Crowded on weekends but still tolerable. Lazarus Island is connected to St John's Island by a causeway. Short walk away, but unsheltered. Bring lots of sunscreen and water.

Peaceful getaway for the weekend. Need to get there by ferry from Marina south pier. Ferry takes around 20 minutes. The ferry drops you off on St. Johns island from where you can walk to Lazarus. Overall the island is scenic and peaceful. The beach is clean and nice and you can take a dip in the sea. However, it has a bit of an artificial feel to it. You can see the MBFC skyline from the island which is beautiful. There are bathing facilities also. The island has no shops to buy food and water so be sure to carry enough. Also, don't miss the last ferry off the island which is around 6pm.

The beach has has white sand and looks gorgeous in a bright sunny day. The water is really clean. If you take a large-angle photo of the beach from the rock embankments, I think it would be impressive. But when my friends and I came, there was too much seaweed covering the beach so it was not really comfortable to bathe.

Lots of trash on the beach. Lots of tourists leave their trash behind after they leave the beach. There are no trash bins here. There are signs telling people to carry their trash out with them but many still leave their trash behind.

Love the clear blue water. The beach is cleaner than the mainland. Avoid coming in the afternoon as the sea level goes down from Kusu, rubbish and seaweed will wash to shore. See the colourful coral right in front of your eyes. You might also like to enjoy a pleasant picnic on the beach or go dolphin spotting by the water.

This beach can be reached after about 15 minutes from the pier. As you can see from the photo, the water is clear and beautiful. Thereโ€™s not a lot of rubbish (although you can certainly see a lot of you walked to other parts of the island). I recommend that you do not set high expectations for the beach. Due to the popularity during this pandemic, there are many people and it is unlikely to be peaceful. The stretch of beach is narrow and you will have to sit on the grass patch if you want a picnic.

Nice and clear blue water in the morning. Avoid coming afternoon as seaweed and rubbish will come washing along the beach. Sad part is, as all beaches in Singapore, those foreigner workers will come to disturb the girls and kids on the beach.

Lots of people and boats over this long weekend. The water wasn't the best this season and weather was too hot hot.

  • 4/5 dankclee 4 years ago on Google
Nice beach though lots of seaweed and sometimes rubbish on it. Nothing much to forage and find. Bring/use a portable Trolley or Kart to move your barang - itโ€™s quite a walk to the beach. No cleanwater/washing points. No shelter from the rain - though we were wet from the sea anyway.

  • 4/5 Vincent T. 1 year ago on Google
Water is much clearer than the other side of the island. Beautiful sand beach. Beware of the monkeys if you stay under the trees, and the ants are endemic on the grass patches

Perfect place to get away from maddening crowd of Singapore. Its just a ferry ride away. Stop at St John Island. Walk to Lazarus and later stop over at Kusu island, which is the next ferry stop. Go here if u want a quiet time but dont want the hassle of going out of the country

This place is perfect for a small outings and picnic (after 2pm). Its so peaceful here though, although there a small toilet 5-10mins away (only water tap is useful). But if you like quiet and spacious coast area, here is a good place for ya.

Lazarus Island beach is a great alternative to Sentosa now that the latter requires advanced booking. The white (squeaky) sand beach is a good spot for recreational activities as well as relaxing. Heads up that there are no washrooms - the closest is on St. John's island.
