Very unpleasant staycation experience. The employees at the reception are among the worst and unprofessional we have witnessed in any hotels. You can easily sense the unhappiness behind their masks and every time we wanted to ask something, the reception people would avoid looking at you, hoping that this will stop you from asking or something. Among the many factors why we do not recommend the hotel, the reception staff stands out the most as it sets a very negative first impression (and throughout the entire stay). Hotel atmosphere is good, surrounded by nature. Room amenities scream "cheap/economic!", even the toilet paper is one ply type. Breakfast is average, and staff attitude are so-so. We met a cleaning uncle and a luggage uncle and, the 2 elderly staff are probably the only friendly people in the hotel. Very disgraceful and shame on the employees; you should not be in this line if you can't even make an effort to smile and say a simple "hi"! Happy for the hotel management to contact me for more details, as will reserve more unpleasant comments to ourselves. Overall, highly not recommended unless you have no other choice!!

Cleanliness was good but couldn't help but have an unshakeable feeling that the hotel is cutting corners and not apologetic about it. Booked a standard king room but the "king-sized bed" was actually just 2 single beds pushed together to make a king sized bed?!! With the middle having a hard ridge. Electricity was suddenly announced to be cut without prior warning on one of the days due to "maintenance" from 10-4pm. No service recovery offered. That meant toilet use was in the dark. No hot water or air conditioning. Are you even serious?? To have this experience in a "hotel"?! If the management was serious maybe they would like to address this feedback that I feel needs to be shared in the public domain. For all future potential visitors - please beware

It's unsurprising to see during my most recent review submission on Booking.com, that the average review score to be 6/10. While the housekeeping & restaurant staff rocks, the front desk staff are dismal. They border with mindsets of bare minimalism & in being regimental. Alysa, in particular is caustic & throws her weight around with guests, which I noticed during my recent 2 stays. Such a personality is in no way suitable for the hospitality industry.

For those looking for a hotel near the Changi Airport, this is a good one with a very laid-back, relaxing environment. The proprerty is intermingled with an expanse of gardens and greens for a good distraction from the CBD. I stayed here in Jan '24 for an overnight transit before my next flight. The standard king-bed room is basic, comfy, and at the rate that I got, I have no reason to complain. And breakfast is included. Recommended.

Not sure how this hotel is a 4-star hotel. We checked in after a long flight and we immediately checked out and booked another hotel. First, the rooms are located in a labyrinth like many others mentioned. We had to go outside to take a service elevator up one level, then take an outdoor overpass to the next building, take another elevator up, and then find our room. All of this is mostly outdoors. Next, almost all of the hallways are outdoors like a motel. Once we got to our rooms, we decided to check out within 39 minutes. From the pictures of the rooms, it didnโ€™t look that bad, but in person, there are mold on the edges of the walls. The closet is also terrible with a musky smell. I wouldโ€™ve expected much better from a 4-star hotel. This is more like a 2-star.

Looking to escape the city buzz? Changi Cove, nestled beside Hendon Commando Camp, is the perfect hideaway. Surrounded by lush greenery, it's like a secret garden making you momentarily forget you're in the heart of Singapore. My 2-night stay was a serene break from the usual hustle. The rooms? Cozy and spotless. What stole the show for me were the drawable walls โ€“ a playful touch with markers provided, letting your creative side run wild. Late-night cravings? Changi Village Food Centre is a short 5-10 minute drive away, a bit challenging for those without wheels. On the bright side, free parking is a perk for hotel guests. Breakfast may have limited choices in the petite restaurant, but less is more here. The small variety ensures each dish is meticulously prepared, making it a delightful start to the day.All in all, Changi Cove offers a tranquil escape. If you're seeking a staycay away from the ordinary, this hidden gem amidst greenery is worth the visit.

I booked a 3 days 2 night stay. And definitely not worth the money and time. In picture it looks nice but when you are there presently the room just doesnโ€™t match. Letโ€™s begin with walking from the counter to the room. Itโ€™s super not convenient you have to take a life to certain level and walk over to another building and take another lift. Can you imagine if you have a lot of things to carry or with kids? Super not convenient. All the places is cordoned off. then why do you design the place like a garden so spacious when all is cordoned off. I canโ€™t even feel the room air con. Even after Checked in 4hrs later and waking up in the morning you donโ€™t feel the air con at all. Super not worth the money per night and not recommended at all. Paying for a 4 star hotel this is not what you should be getting. Even ST signature which is. 3 star hotel has way better service and comfortable.

Quite far from the airport, might not be ideal for first time visitors of the country. However, it has beautiful greeneries, the double rooms come with coffee, tea and some chocolates. The rooms are also very clean. The after service, however, is horrible/will trigger your trust issues. We went there and paid using a debit card. Before leaving, we asked them when we would get our room deposit back, and the staff at the concierge told us we would just have to wait for it; their bank will release it to our bank in a few days. Come three weeks later, NOTHING. A month in, and we left them a message via the booking app which we used for reservations. We got no reply, no explanations, whatsoever. A few days later, our message to them no longer appeared in our app inbox. We reached out to the app's customer service and waited weeks more before we FINALLY got a response. If it wasn't for the third party booking app, we might not have heard from them anymore. Lesson for first-time visitors: PAY IN CASH; GET YOUR DEPOSIT IN CASH, TOO. If you don't, and you are told to wait to get your deposit back via the bank-to-bank process, make sure to get the name of the staff who promised you so.

Free breakfast was a nice touch. Hotel is basic, no frills, don't expect carpeted floors and bathtub. Its more like an upgraded chalet without the bbq facilities.

The front desk and cafe staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful. The room & bed is comfortable. Simple breakfast but satisfying. I like the board walk area as can view the vast ocean and yatches. Changi village is 10 minutes bus ride ( 4 bus stops away ). There are plenty of local favorites and busker singing. Nostalgic. I like Changi Cove very much.

Nice little hotel tucked away from the bustle of the city. Overall appearance of the hotel was great. The food served during the wedding was good too.

The place is not accessible easily by public transport. After checkin they give you a map to reach the room which is quiet far and complicated to reach. They don't help you with luggage or have an usher to help you reach your room. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom shower head was faulty. Smoking area is far away. Breakfast was ok. There is no room service, no one to even fetch you anything, you have to take the long walk to the reception if you need anything. Swimming pools are not on the property have to take a shuttle for that. We waited for the shuttle to the MRT and they did not inform us where to wait for it and we missed it. Not worth the money spent. Service is not 4 star standard.

Staff needs a lot of customer oriented training to be more hospitable and professional. They need to ensure the guests get a little flexibility and make their money spent worth it. This will help Changi Owners and itโ€™s business with a little shape up on their approach even if the amenities are not great.

Clean and quiet environment. Ideal for a retreat or a short getaway from the hustle and bustle. Short walk to the boardwalk entrance at changi sailing club. A pity that the entrance nearest to the hotel to the boardwalk is still under maintenance otherwise would be more convenient. Frequent shuttle service makes it easier to go to other places for food and to explore.

Expected more green scenery but our room came with road side view and very far from lobby. The way to guest room was complicated. Maybe more on hotel for seminar cause many meeting rooms along the way and got easier access. Amenities is normal. However, they provide free breakfast from 7-10am.

I love the location as it's only 15 minutes drive from the airport. So peaceful walking distance to Hawker Centre and the beach. The room is bigger than most hotel rooms in Singapore unfortunately no fridge. Bed is comfortable. Service is excellent breakfast is better than most 4 star hotels that offer breakfast in Singapore. Bit far from the city.

I can not rate this hotel enough! Especially the staff that went absolutely above and beyond... especially rescuing my dropped mobile phone. They were amazing and so very accommodating - I just wish I was staying longer then one night. Easy and quick to get to from the airport. Close to amazing waterside areas and the bird life around the hotel and local area is amazing. Will definitely be back when next in Singapore. Thank you so much!

a nice hotel nestled into the surroundings. the room was clean and well maintained, however you can tell the amenities and walkways are getting a bit dated. itโ€™s around a 20 min taxi to the airport. seems like a place designed for conferences and events and itโ€™s probably a good place for that.

It is very good hotel, but there restaurants are far away and the metro station. I thought to give this hotel 2 stars, however, the there is very funny shower in the bathroom, so it will be 3 stars. Me and my cousin laughed all the time about the shower so it is good thing I donยดt know what is normal shower in Asia but i know its different from Europe.. Dudes can I get one of these somewhere :)

Went for a wedding reception. Serene atmosphere. Quiet and beautiful sight. Green with beautiful birds chirping. Uniquely design with nice slopes to view the building. I am so stunned and amazed that for many years pass by this area but never actually landed here.

The place is quiet and peaceful. Didn't get a chance to take a photo of the room, but it was clean. They give you free shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush. They also provide towels and nespresso coffee. The free breakfast was equally good and delicious. No complaints really. It was a good stay.

A quiet accommodation surrounded by trees, close to the water front. We explored the area and strolled along water front board walk. A perfect location to relax and be peaceful with the environment. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Rahin at reception who couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. So glad we found this place.

Ok this is really a hidden gem. It's so well hidden away I didn't even know this place exist. There are a lot of effort and heart they put into this place . You could feel it. Staff very courteous. I was limping on day one due to a bad foot, the staff direct me to a handicap toilet right away when I ask him where is the gents. He did so because it's way nearer and more safe for me to use. I love the room. Spacious and tranquil, while you could smell the greens and hear the birds chipping when you open your window. Many natural sighting of hawks ,birds and greenery all around. Room are clean and bed is good. We had catering by the hotel and the food is fantastic. Great variety and standards. However breakfast could be improve. It's a safe haven for folks who wants to escape the city for a short trip. Good job guys.

Lena and I enjoyed the staycation very much! We loved your ambience of your lounge. Comfortable seats that feels like home. Space created good for personal reflection, in the midst of the nature! I was disappointed that I am unable to have a refund for Dorothy's breakfast! She was unwell to join us of which later confirmed she was Covid-19 positive. Above all, this is a wonderful stay!

Worst scenario, worst Christmas vacation, it will remain the most unpleasant moment of our life. Unable to stay, after turning in round in sort of giant labyrinth, we found our room, open the door and decided instantly to run away. The room was evoking a jail cell with a king size white bed stuck-up in a corner, a disgusting rising smell resulting from an extreme humidity, the perfect nightmare. Of course, we lost our booking and probably our incomprehensible deposit at the arrival considering that everything had been paid before reaching the hotel. In short, my advice, don't book, don't come there.

The greenery and quiet is awesome. If you wish to detox from the city, this is a good place. You can hear crickets. My daughter liked the doodle wall. I think the far walk to the hotel lobby is ok. If you are staycationing and have a car, it's a good place. You need a car to drive to eating places. The hotel cafe is passable. Cafe prices. The only drawback are the mosquitoes. Venture outside at your own risk. We always make a dash to the lobby and close our doors fast.

Enjoyed my stay here! Feels in between a chalet and a hotel, probably feels like a chalet because the corridors are open air. Peaceful place. Clean, although the room toilet is not very nice-looking but itโ€™s fine to me. Love the activities you can do nearby, staff are generally nice, breakfast is a good small buffet spread :) no mini fridge in the room though, wish there could be! Good to drive here, otherwise a little inconvenient. Changi Boardwalk & Hawker Village were closed, would be awesome when they reopen.

Hotel is okay, but feels a bit outdated. There was a smell in a room (some fragrance), windows are blocked so there is no way to get rid of it. Overall feels more like 2-3 stars, not 4-star hotel. Greenery outside is nice.

Had a good staycation experience here. Great place to get away from everything. Rooms are a little basic and the bed is not the most comfortable but overall itโ€™s clean and has a good shower and cold air conditioning. Staff are friendly and breakfast food is decent. They lend board games for free too so thereโ€™s enough entertainment for a rainy day. Itโ€™s a distance by foot to changi village so might be best if you have a car otherwise think thereโ€™s are buses that run there.

  • 5/5 Angela T. 2 years ago on Google
Nice stay, easy check in, simple breakfast which was tasty. Boardwalk is closed till next year. Not much around hotel but 30 min walk to changi village was pleasant. Can also take a 10 mins public bus ride or their limited shuttle bus service.

Was here for a staycation. Room was average, walls were stained, wish they could look into it. The surrounding area was lush and green. Breakfast was not good, we wish we headed elsewhere instead as the food lacked seasoning and we never received our pastries (we ended up leaving breakfast, not sure if it would have arrived by then). The picnic food was really yummy though, so that was a plus.

It was a nice and cosy staycay, felt like we were in Bali and a good escape from Singapore. Just definitely was quite a dated place, and rooms were pretty basic. Breakfast was not bad, been a while since we last managed to have hotel buffet breakfast so that was a nice change. Location is far out though but you can walk to changi village close by.

The staff were very friendly but on the day I stayed were extremely busy because of Formula 1. The reception staff were very helpful and obliging. I did not enjoy the meal, not a lot of thought had gone into their menu. I feel this needs to be improved as there were no restaurants handy to the hotel and if you didn't want to go out or didn't have a vehicle than you had to eat at the hotel. The cleaning staff need to be reminded to wash every part of the floor, my bathroom floor had marks on it behind the door which was where the rubbish bin was located.

Had a good experience during my 2 nights stay with family in April 2022. The staff were generally friendly especially the trace together check-in uncle (did not ask his name). One who enjoys nature will have a good time here. I find this as a good place for personal/group retreat because of the nature within the hotel premise. The shuttle is generally ontime. However, there are bus stops nearby to go to MRT station or nearby food court (about 4 stops away). The swimming pool is not in the hotel compound but at Civil Service Club Changi. We either took the bus no 29 (4 bus stops) or the shuttle (it stops at the place) to go there. We also played bowling in here. * Update May 2022 * Stayed with another group of people. Had good experience. I want to especially mention Ryan, the assistant manager, who was a ready help, as well as Debbie, the friendly girl who served breakfast

We stayed at Changi Cove for a staycation again. Loved the greenery around, was able to catch a glimpse of hornbill pretty close by! The doodle wall is still there (markers are provided) and it is fun to doodle away some time :) we loved the peaceful all-green calm environment! The restaurant menu is bit basic but okay for a brunch or a dinner on a rainy day. Breakfast is complimentary and is a basic buffet - nothing extraordinary but ok for a start of d day! With regards to improvements, the staff at the Reception could be more friendly with their guests, maybe smile a bit more! The staff in charge for housekeeping and staff at restaurant were polite and very responsive!

A lovely quiet getaway from the daily noise and grind. I came for a much needed quiet retreat and it was a lovely stay. The staff were friendly despite all the negative reviews written. Thank you all for serving so well. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ I especially want to thank the front office manager (July 21, 2022 - 1225pm)(didnโ€™t get his name) for being so super helpful in retrieving my forgotten items from my room and standing at the driveway to pass it to me when the bus pulled in! Iโ€™m super super appreciative! Thank you so much!!! The morning wait staff at breakfast were also very attentive and helpful indeed. I enjoyed the walks around the vicinity and was very blessed to sight the hornbills, white cockatoos, Sea Eagles and Brahminy Kites. All in, a lovely restful stay. Thank you to all the staff on duty July 18th - 21st, 2022!

We spent a night between flights at Changi Airport and we had lovely time. The location is great. About 15 minutes by taxi from the airport. You can also take a walk on the boardwalk nearby. The breakfast buffet include a small selections of western and Asian dishes. Delicious!

Stayed here for a 3D2N staycation and recently again for a 2D1N with friends. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The rooms were very clean, there is a wall to draw on (like a magnetic board drawing). Bathroom shower area is quite big and water pressure was strong. Bed was so comfy. Service was good. Room has a coffee machine, 2 disposable water bottles, kettle, TV with many channels. Only no mini fridge. Had trouble operating the TV and the technician was really nice and helpful. Housekeeping staff was a nice smiley lady. Feel very relaxed after my stay here. Looking forward to coming back for my next staycation

location i gave a 4-stars is because this place is out far away from city, it is a good place if you want a moment of peace and is just next to the sea. service i would give a 4-stars is because of the hospitality of the manager, Alicia. she had arranged a handicapped toilet for my mum but at different level with mine (i came 1 night before my mum), which came to my surprise as her staff told me otherwise. thus, she had politely check with me do i want to change my room to the same level. she earn the 4-stars, minus 1-star because of the staff that receive me was unfriendly, and as a senior staff do not know the room well which sound amazing to me.

Nice decent hotel near the greenery. You can hear the birds singing and trees cheering. Value for money as we stayed 3 days 2 nights for church retreats. Foods wise ok. Bed a bit small for twin sharing. All else ok.

Changi Cove is a great place for retreat and meetings. The meeting rooms have nice bean bags and tall chairs. They have pens and paper for us to use. They also provide coffee making machines. The air-conditioning is on the hot side in the morning but in the afternoon it's cooling. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Price is affordable as well. They have a cafe at ground level as well. The lobby is spacious with good seating area. During the afternoon, the sunlight does get in and can be a little hot. They have huge area for eating on the ground floor. There's also space to put catered food outside the meeting rooms. The facilities are well kept. Area is very clean and green. Carpark is huge. They have a big umbrella for us to use when it's heavy rain. You can get there by driving or grab. #ILoveChangiCove

    1. Came back to the room from our activity at around 4pm and found out the room is not locked. Maybe due to the cleaning up the room, chambermaid did not check if the room is locked before leaving. It lacks of security issues and guests may not have confident with the hotel management. luckily no items went missing. 2. No mini fridge provided for some rooms. However I feel that hotel should provide for every rooms. 3. No indicative of hot/cold shower. Water has to run for quite some time on my 1st day of stay before I get my hot shower. However the water pressure is good. 4. Bed was soft and there seems to be like a hollow on 1 part. 5. Snack platter was part of my package deal. the satays were serve cold. 6. Breakfast - nothing fantastic and not much choices.
