This place pays for reviews. You get a 10% discount towards your next booking if you leave a good review. We booked this place because it was highly rated but it's nothing than a dirty dormitory. There is no reception, no elevator and you have check-in using their app. To get into your room, you have to enter a 9 digit code but what if your phone runs out of battery? The room was dirty especially the floor. They only change your towels every 3 days when you explicitly ask for it. They never cleaned the room but they did get in and stole all my cash in the room. We booked through booking.com that did not mention of any construction going on but as soon as we booked we were informed there are constructions inside the hotel. The hotel would not cancel our reservation claiming the information was available on their website. Woke up every morning to the sound of drilling. The breakfast is just a coupon for 2 different meals in a cafe outside the hotel.

Convenient app, great approach with the electronic key, no cards needed. Everything is intuitive. It's a great option if you don't need to work remotely, but only sleep overnight. The rooms, of course, are small and there is only a desk and a bed on the bottom. The air conditioning in our room was blowing right on the bed. This is a minus. The room is humid and the carpet on the floor smells bad. But as long as the air conditioner works it is not noticeable. The kitchen is comfortable and has all the little things you need. There is a common hair dryer and iron. Showers and toilets are carefully cleaned, always clean at any time. Upd: The rooms still have ventilation problems, dampness. The team's help has improved, thank you for the quick replies in WhatsApp

We only stayed here one night but were very impressed with the hostel. The room was very comfortable. The hostelmhas everything you might need and it's in a great location. I'd stay here again!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Would leave negative stars if I could. They reel you in with cheap prices but conveniently do not mention that the sheets and towels are replaced every THREE days. For travellers coming from colder countries (ie. almost everywhere) this is unacceptable and the room is quickly filled with the smell of sweat. Staff are unhelpful when issues of hygiene are brought up, and the stay is non-refundable because they quickly found out that once travellers realised that this was a poorly maintained and dirty hotel, they would want to leave. This hotel left a horrible impression on what was otherwise an amazing stay at Singapore.

The rooms are small but it is really nothing to complain because it is shown as is in the pictures. The showers were clean and modern. There’s hot and cold option for when showering which is good because I feel like some hostels have a misleading temperature. The only thing I am not a fan of is the self check-in because my phone died on the way to the hostel and I still had to open it up and check in for the access key. So it was just a huge inconvenience. Other than that it was a good stay for a fair price.

Ok for 1/2 nights but not for longer. Use the room to sleep, shower and use the bathroom only. Con - expensive for what you get - facilities are basic - effectively no common areas, very isolating hotel experience. - room was clean but stained floors, tired appearance. - noise from building works next door make the place virtually uninhabitable from 9am-5pm. Pro - responsive staff - easy check in - very central location

Perfect location. Near bus stop and mrt station as well as lots of wonderful food court in Chinatown. Staff is very friendly. However, room is very small and during my 4-day staycation, I did not see any housekeepers clean my room and collect trash. Toilet is a little bit dirty in the evening after staffs finish their shift. Price is expensive. Besides, be aware of your food and drinks when use fridge. I lost my drinks twice (still new, not open yet) even though I labelled it as guided.

Super location for the city explorers. Kitchen and bathroom are kept clean. Nice point: self check-in and no key room access. Stuff reacts very fast via WA and longest time of solving my issue (including the room change) was just 20 minutes. Sadly that's forbidden to dry shoes with the hair dryer (after the rain). Just kidding. But what to do with your shoes after the rain -- still a question to think over (check the weather in advance) Keep in mind that outlets here are Asian, so with your euro devices charging might be a problem. Solvable, but with your own efforts.

Pros: Friendly housekeeping. Common areas are clean, unless guests are not mindful about hygiene. In-app response is quick and friendly. Cons: Common areas are covered with outdated signage. No action is taken based on in-app feedback and staff may forget to follow-up. Rooms are poorly designed. One of my rooms had such a low ceiling that I couldn't sit up in bed, and I'm far from tall. Steps for double-bunks are the length of half your leg and uncomfortable to climb. Lighting is inconsistent, good in some rooms but dim in others. Clothing hooks are only accessible for tall people. Coffee machine is frequently not usable (see photos), and no replacement is offered (staff suggested buying coffee elsewhere). On the whole, I would recommend staying elsewhere unless you're getting this for cheaper than comparable hotels.

You get what you pay for and I mean that in a good way here. It's a hostel, but you get your own room. The room and facilities were adequate and got the job done. Electronic check-in was a little clunky, but the WeChat support was excellent and navigated me quickly. I did notice some ants on my desk towards the end of my stay and that is why it's not 5 stars for me, but this is totally a great bang-for-buck option and the location is fantastic. Paid $70 a night as there was a discount for staying 2+ weeks.

Clean and minimalistic hotel. Itz a steal considering the price and look of this 2 star hotel. Very good service, staff is nice and polite, provides good service for others. Positive experience πŸ‘πŸ‘

Stayed for two nights, a room with window and shared bathroom. All good except the musty smell. Could not get rid of it even the door and windows were opened everyday. Ladies bathroom was clean and the bed was comfy.

It's like being in a dirty cage and you can't ask anyone for help. Online reception only. The rooms, toilets and shared kitchen are not clean, we could not use the coffee machine. The only good thing is the location.

I actually like the check-in and check-out process because it is easy (as long as you have SG SIM Card) and no need to queue. However, when you have an issue during your stay, it can be quite troublesome to contact their staff as there is no stand-by staff on the premises. You have to call them via Skype or use chat feature in their apps, which can cause some confusion from either side. Some guests, including me, have proven this during my stay as there is a serious problem at that time where we need a clarification from the management. I stayed here for 2 weeks in December. I actually quite like the room even though it does not have a window. But, I think they need to clean the carpet more thoroughly as it smells musty. During Covid, no daily cleaning service provided. You have to book it one day before. Then, I thought that I could not use any kitchen appliances during my stay, except for water fountain and sink. However, I see that some guests are able to use fridge and coffee machine. So, better check with the staff. No washing machine and dryer provided. Hair dryer is only provided one unit on the 3rd floor. If you are a female guest and not afraid to climb some sets of staircases, do ask the staff beforehand to assign you a room on 3rd floor, as the female toilets and bathrooms are located on that floor. I found it inconvenient to climb a deserted staircases on odd hours to use the toilet. Lockers provided are not enough and they are almost constantly full. PS: The 3-star rating is unfortunately given as the construction noise during my stay is unbearable. Maybe if it's a 2 or 3 day stay, the noise would be totally okay for me. But, as I stay for 2 weeks and I also need to work sometimes during the day, I cannot tolerate the noise after several days. Forced to leave the hotel during the day to work somewhere else.

The room itself is adequate, but the room that I was assigned was not very clean, with visible dust and some slight stains on the dark colored tabletop. I had to walk a long way to the shared bathroom as well, which is extremely inconvenient especially when you need the toilet urgently, or if you've just woken up and haven't washed your face etc. If you drink lots of water and need regular access to the toilet, it's better that you go for a room with an attached bathroom. All in all, it's adequate for its price point. Good for solo travelers or backpackers who just need a spot to crash for the night.

There’s no drop off area here, you have to drop off the passenger opposite of the hotel at Nanyang Old Coffee. There’s no smoking area. They use Bluetooth to lock n open the door room. The toilet n shower was clean. There’s no lift in this hotel but the staff Lun is so helpful and friendly, help me to bring my luggage to 3rd storey, Thank You πŸ™πŸ˜‡ πŸ™.

I chose this hotel for my small 3-days trip in Singapore and I didn’t regret! Location 5/5, everything you need in a walk distance. Room is really small, but I use it only for the sleep.

The rooms are small but clean. The 4th floor bathroom is shared and very nice. There isnot a lot of chilling spots other than the cook lab and the meeting place in the middle. The balconies were empty when we stayed there. Check in and out was smooth and we didn't encounter any staff as this is a self check-in place.

First off, everyone knows how expensive Singapore is. For this pod-like property we found the rooms to be well small. In addition since we're active senior adults we found the self check-in challenging to say the least. However once we got the hang of it it was okay. The facilities common areas were actually nice which we participated in and enjoyed. The property's location is very convenient in Chinatown near two different subway stops. If you're cool with a high-tech self checking experience by all means stay here.

The room so smelly and tiny at the same time. No toilet in the room you need to go out and use public toilet in the hotel. The toilet is so dirty.

The small rooms are offset by the hotel's unbeatable location close to the MRT station, ensuring easy travel convenience.

Location is really good. Close to two metro stations, close to nightlife and many food places. The room however, smelled really bad. Also AC directly to the bad is really bad. Bathroom clean.

Stayed here again this week. This is my 3rd time staying here. As usual, enjoyed my stay. Was luck to get a room on the 2nd floor next to the 'cook lab' which is their fancy pantry with stoves and ovens. This time, I made new friends from Germany who was planning a trip to Tioman Island..this is why I love staying here.. get the chance to meet new people with all backgrounds..while eating my favouriye maggie at the pantry!

One star is too generous for this one. First i was sent a wrong address to their other branch. I then found the place on my own. Self check in with low battery after a flight is stressful. Only to find a 4.5 feet by 11 feet room with no shower. 200 sterlings for two nights in an Asian hotel with all that? I have seen pig pens with more comfort. And i will not be leaving any valuable while im out.

It was super great at this price. The room was comfortable, aircon is strong enough, no weird smell. Absurd furnishing and design. The shared bathroom and restroom is bright and clean. Definitely will recommend to my friends.

luxury hostel. the sleeping space is small but the linens are lux. the showers run steaming hot. the kitchen is clean. i would stay here again, although i don’t like sleeping in a tight overhead space so i would upgrade my room next time.

I liked the chat in/chat out and for younger people it flight work very good. Moreover, the staff was very helpful and is always available when writing, at least for my stay that was the case. Bathroom is clean and nice, just like the overall style is. Prices are fair. Badly experiences the noise level, so basically you hear everything. Bends are too short, so if you are 1.8m or longer that might not fit very well if you sleep in a long position. No window, which makes it kinda depressing as well. No elevator, so carry the bags.

Great modern hotel, the single rooms are small but it’s affordable and clean. Toilets and showers are shared but always very clean too. Kitchen and fridge available too. Super well located in the hearth of Chinatown next to the Buddha tooth temple and Maxwell food court.

Not bad for a budget hotel, clean rooms but space constraint was an issue.Quick and easy check-in using the app.
