One of Singapore Landmark building with 927 colourful windows. Very beautiful from outside. Inside seems to be used at office for one of the ministry. Didn't go inside but it was seemed to be opened during my visit. Colorful windows has a meaning that Singapore respects multi-racials at the country - according to the tour guide.

I took this photo while passing , not knowing much about the building . I thought it was just stunning . The bright colored windows made it stand out so much. And TikTok eventually gave me all the answers I was looking for … so beautiful ..and I hear it looks even better at night .

Nice Rainbow-colored Windows.. that's all. If you are on the way, take a short break to make pictures. It is opposite of one of the best venue places of Singapore, so no waste of time to just go there for some pictures.

This eye catching building is a police station turned government office. In the day, you’ll be lured by the colorful shutters and white building. In the night, the building lights up, and the colors are accentuated by the orangey spot lights.

Truly one of the most heartless building management around. There was an injured cat at the building and security insisted on chasing us away instead of letting us attend to the injured animal. When asked if they would want the cat to get knocked down by vehicles as the road is nearby, the old man had the gall to say that’s not his business. I was NOT trespassing in the building.

The old police station now the ministry of culture. It's a stop for it's architecture beauty. The colours represent the multicultural blend of Singapore.

Visited here in 2021. It’s a colorful building. Don’t risk your life to take iconic photo of the police station. The road is very busy and too many vehicles.

One of the must visit SG landmarks . This historical building is beside Clark quay. Its mandarin name is classical and old school. Thus building and former police station has 900+ colorful windows. It was set up in 1934. From the artitecture style, one can tell the Choi Hung estate style is really nothing to SG travelers.

Saw this on a walking tour of Singapore back in early March. This landmark building used to be a police station and jail, but it's now government office. It's hard to imagine it's former use with its neoclassical architecture and colourfully painted windows. If you're visiting Fort Canning or the equally pretty Central Fire Station nearby, it's worth a detour.

It is a really picturesque building I came across when I went to Fort Canning Park. It is worth visiting if you hunt for some nice photos in the area. The building is huge, with a lot of vibrant colors on windows. I believe it also has nice lights on those windows during night time. I was in a rush but next time I will definitely try to get inside the building, it looks really nice too.

This police office is historical building with art deco style. In fact, there is a very small exhibition to introduce this building’s story on the first floor. The appearance of daytime and night are different. I recommend you can go to nearby “song fa bak kut tah”, sit outside to enjoy both signature food and this beautiful view! If you love cooking, you can buy their “soup” and try at your home! 👍🏼

A building with probably the most character and history in downtown Singapore. The colourful shutters are visually striking and in stark contrast with the dull grey granite architecture. Once the colonial police headquarters, now it's home to a handful of social youth and family outreach offices.

Also known as Balai Polis Hill Street Lama and (Chinese: 旧禧街警察局) in Malay and Chinese respectively, the name was changed from Old Hill Street Police Station to "MITA Building" in 1999, followed by "MICA Building" in 2004. After the change of ministries in November 2012, the name "MICA Building" was reverted to "Old Hill Street Police Station".

Nicknamed the ‘Police Skyscraper’ in the past, the Former Hill Street Police Station is prominently located at the junction of Hill Street and River Valley Road. The building served as a police station and also housed accommodation for officers and their families. A monument to the police force in Singapore, the edifice was once the largest of its kind in Malaya. The Former Hill Street Police Station underwent a major renovation in 1999 and officially reopened as the new home for the then Ministry of Information and the Arts (MITA) on 1 November 2000. The renovation increased the floor space, and a glass roof was installed in the central atrium to create an area for exhibitions and art installations. It became known as MITA Building and, later, MICA Building when the ministry was renamed the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Arts (MICA) in 2004. The building was later renamed as the Old Hill Street Police Station again in 2012, after MICA became the Ministry of Communication and Information. The OHSPS currently houses the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth as well. The building has a total of 927 windows and they are painted in the colours of the rainbow. Passersby will notice that the windows on the first four stories have the same vibrant intensity while the colours for the fifth- and sixth-story gradually intensify to accentuate the cantilevered balconies which are interesting architectural features of this historical building.
