Really no complaints. The walk to get to the treetop walk is very pleasant. The treetop walk itself is free and high enough to get a little bit of adrenaline pumping without any real fear if heights aren't really your thing. You'll get a nice view from the bridge and may even encounter some friendly monkeys as you cross. Defibetaly recommended for anyone looking to escape the endless concrete jungle that is Singapore city.

This one-way 250m path starts off above the forest canopy of the MacRitchie Central Catchment Nature Reserve with varying heights up to 25m from the ground. It's a suspension bridge offering a beautiful vantage point of the surrounding area. If you are not fearful of height and the narrow bouncy bridge, you will enjoy the view and occasional visits from monkeys and birds. At the end of the bridge, you will continue on several steps upward and then down back to the dirt path. Do note that the bridge closes on Monday.

A hidden highlight of MacRitchie Central Catchment Area, this long, highly suspended bridge would test if you are faint of heart. It is generally stable but you may feel a slight wobble depending of the number of people walking on it, or if anyone decides to jump on it for fun. The views from the bridge are simply spectacular. This bridge runs one-directionally, so ensure you check the maps to hike up to the correct side to enter. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated, and wear comfortable protected shoes to prevent your feet from getting sore. I came across a primate sitting relaxed along the rail at the entrance of the bridge. They are mostly harmless as long as you leave them be and not tempt them with snacks or drinks.

If you are looking for a good workout, a nice natural view and place to drain the kids energy, then this is the place for you. And yes it is free. I would not recommend coming with a pram or wheelchair to see the treetop walk as this road to the side is about 2km of walk uphill, and there are steps with water steams/ ducts to cross to reach the side. Other wise, not seeing the treetop walk, there are plenty to see and discover on really good walkways at the bottom for previous mention group. Overall this is a great place with a effort required

My favorite hike in Singapore! The have diverse terrains - dirt path, stairs, slopes, suspension bridges, and more. We spent 4-5 hours here and enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend!

Well built trail for the Treetop Walk at Macritchie Reservoir Park. The bridge built in the secondary forest offers a terrific and elevated view of the surrounding area. It felt as if you are walking on top of trees while on the bridge. The hike took 2 - 2.5 hours and was not difficult. Be mindful and avoid the monkeys as they may be aggressive if they feel threatened

Nice place to go hiking for a few hours. Macaque are a common sight, but take caution around them and don't carry plastic bags. Can see various other wild animals and insects as well. Mosquito spray is recommended. Expect a 3-5 hour walk to tree top bridge depending on route chosen. Multiple entry and exit points. Take note the tree top bridge section is One-way only.

Pretty cool view of the top of the jungle. It is a suspension bridge that stretches around 100m with some nice views. It is a climb to get up to the entry point and a lot of stairs coming down. It is also a one direction thing, so need to start at the entrance. Free to enter. Worth a stop if you have some extra time during your hike around MacRitchie

The walk from McRitchie Car Park is not that interesting, and the tree top walk is a bit anti climatic. It is a straight bridge at tree top height, but it is not like there is a whole lot to see, at least mid day. Maybe earlier or later hours are more interesting. Gets really busy on week-ends.

Sad that this is the best bridge SG can offer. Like always, if you have money, I suggest going Taiwan as they have way more bridges and breathtaking views. Compared to Taiwan, treetop walk only has trees to see, and if you squint your eyes, you can see the golf course at mac Ritchie. The scenery is quite boring in my opinion as it’s just green. Walk here from Mac Ritchie Trailhead. It’s a one way route. Beware that the roads are muddy. Your shoes will turn from white to black.

The walk to the tree top is around 3-4 kilometers. I started from tree top trail head and its good concrete road for first half of it. But later half is a trail with lush forest and lot of trees and some monkeys. Tree top walk itself has a beautiful view and is really worth it . You can see the reservoir from it. It's at a good height and cold winds will make all of your sweaty trail walk worthwhile. Return journey will again take you around an hour . Tree top trail closes at 5PM so I will suggest to start from tree top trail head before 3PM.

TreeTop walk was my end goal destination starting from the MacRitchie National Park entrance. I like the idea of having a bridge on top of the trees, it has a good view and also informative spots where you can read about what you see. If you are near this place I would recommend you to visit it, and say hi to the monkeys around :P

The tree top walk was a wonderful experience. Completely isolated from the busiest Singapore and a person can feel the silence & sounds of birds. Completely surrounded by the trees😍😍 so peaceful. Can't explain in words, experiencing the place is the best option... The tree top walk is free of cost. Best place for hiking in Singapore. If you prefer for a hiking experience within Singapore then Mac Ritchie reservoir is a best option where this tree top is located. Escape from the city, go there spend some time with your friends or family to get a peaceful experience.

An awesome place to visit at MacRitche. The experience is definitely worth the 2km plus hike. You need to take quite a long time to reach there though, and there is a high chance of people visiting the suspension bridge too. Overall, a place worth visiting that boasts spectacular views. It is closed on Monday, so do plan your hike.

Would recommend that you take enough water with you as it is quite a hike to get to the place with a lot of up and down. Also wear good shoes to not hurt yourself. On the way you will probably see a lot of monkey and other animals. The bridge itself is closed during thunderstorm (and maybe rain). They will also turn on some sort of siren when it is dangerous to cross. Be aware that it is a one-way bridge which means you will take another way back than going to the bridge. We went from east to the bridge and then walked south towards the golf course which was quite the right choice as this route (towards south is easier walkable).

Great for a lovely weekday morning hike! 👍 To me this bridge just acts as a symbol that you have reached the peak of your hike, if that makes any sense 😂. To be honest there is nothing much to see when you are here. You just walk in a single file, there’s also not much scenery or whatever to look at, and before you know it it’s the end of the single file trail lol 😅. Having that said, it’s always nice to be surrounded by nature and loads of greenery! In the end, we need nature more than it needs us. 🌳💚

The Treetop Walk is a suspension bridge that allows a hiker to walk through the treetops of the forest. It is some distance from the nearest carpark but worth a try, especially for kids who will be thrilled walking above the trees. Do note that the walk is one-way only, so follow the instructions and do not try to enter from the back.

it’s open now, not closed, and just fyi only 30 ppl are allowed on the shaky suspension bridge, and it’s one way only because it’s narrow so you can’t turn back. anyway, a refreshing experience for me. newly opened so not much ppl know about it yet because google maps still say closed. beautiful and stunning views on the bridge, so high off the ground you can perfectly see the canopy and even some hdb in bishan, not to mention the beautiful macritchie reservoir. definitely worth the walk all the way here from venus drive although it was about 3 kilometers away.

I had wanted to come here but it was closed for upgrading during the Covid-19 pandemic. So glad that it’s now open. Plenty of parking space at Windsor Nature Park. We followed the map to get to starting point of TreeTop Walk entrance. We are not allowed to U-turn on the suspension bridge. So all hikers have to follow the ‘one-way’ direction. There are monkeys, squirrels and wild boars. Not suitable for young kids or someone with walking problem. The terrain will be steep in some places, lots of stairs, up n down slopes. It rained today and it’s muddy in some places. Take about 3 hours for this shortest trail.

Such a fulfilling and amazing experience to cross one of the highest hanging bridges in Singapore. The weather was perfect that day. The cold breeze that touched my skin was so calming and relaxing. I loved it so much.

Recommended if you love hiking and nature. Can really feel like an escape from the busy city. There's a couple of friendly monkeys roaming around the trees too. The tree top walk can be very crowded during the weekends but almost close to no one during the weekdays. Put on sunscreen and bring a bottle and you be fine.

I walked there from the mushroom cafe and it was about 3 hours, though admittedly I walked pretty quickly. Very enjoyable walk, it was 1 way and the the views were GREAT. It was quite high, so those who have fear of heights, it may get kind of bad towards the middle of the bridge, but completely doable since it's quite short! Just close your eyes and it'll be unforgettable

Went to TTW with some friends on 5/1/2022. We walk from Venus Drive via Venus Link. Weather was not too hot due to some clouds. Humid and certain path can be muddy. Remember to bring and drink water. Not recommended for visitors who are using mobility devices. Child in pram as well. The tree top walk itself is a just a short segment above the trees and Upper Pierce Reservoir can be seen. One way only. Total round trip back to Venus Drive is about 7km. We took 2 hours (casualwalk) to complete. Heard that the distance is longer from MacRitchie side. According to my friend, carpark at Venus Drive is free.

It is very far if you try to enter from McRitchie or Windsor Park. Better to enter from Rifle Range Link (about 2.5 lm) albeit a bit more muddy. Couldn't see any birds or any other animal during my visit. Southern Ridges canopy is much longer and easier to spot birds actually.

A breath-taking and immersive nature experience that's perfect for anyone seeking a break from the city. The spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding rainforest canopy along the bridge is a truly unique perspective that allows you to appreciate the beauty and vastness of Macritchie Reservoir and the forest surrounding it. Despite a large number of people walking on the bridge during my visit, it felt remarkably stable and secure. This aspect might be reassuring for those who might be apprehensive about suspension bridges. While the TreeTop Walk itself is an easy stroll, be prepared for a considerable climb up many stairs after you cross the bridge. This final leg can be quite strenuous, especially for those with limited mobility or young children.

If you enjoy nature/hikes this is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This was a relatively easy hike with awesome views and lots of monkeys along the way. The monkeys are friendly: if you don’t bother them they won’t bother you. Please don’t feed them!

Very nice park! But the hike is a loop so sadly you cannot leave halfway. The treetop walk is the highlight! It rained the day before, so the hiking terrain was muddy, recommend to wear appropriate attire for that.

Having chosen the blue route for the hiking, if you're in good shape, you're looking at roughly two hours. If not, it's advisable to have someone accompanying you for that mutual boost and to take a leisurely pace. Do remember to bring along your water and protein bar.

The hike to the Tree Top Walk brings us away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In a small city state, it is not easy to find a space where nature is not disturbed. We don't have nature scenary but the park is very well curated to give a relaxing walk.

We went on a Monday public holiday , walking in front Marymount and by 9am there was a long queue at tree top walk entrance!! I’m guessing from the look of it at least 100 people in front of us waiting to enter and cross the bridge But well worth the wait as the views were spectacular, thankfully we didn’t encounter monkeys while ON the bridge. We did see a few while in the queue. Exit wise there is one car park close by around 2km walk so total distance that day was around 9km.

Great views. Definitely worth a visit if you’re hiking here. The bridge is single direction and only fit for walking in one file, so if there’s people around you will need to be considerate and not take too long for pictures to avoid blocking people from moving across the bridge.

It's now open to public after it was closed to undergo maintenance for a year. We can visit this while doing a MacRitchie reservoir hike. We can start either from the carpark or from paddle lodge. It's closed on Mondays and public holidays. Recommended going during week days when crowd is less.

Alboslutely the best place in Singapore, beautiful nature, you can listen to the jungle, may find some forest creatures. The walk itself to reach tree top walk is not difficult, but take same snack and plenty of water. You can make it within a half a day, even faster, but the best is to walk there the whole day, listen to the forest and look for creatures. You can take several trails and enjoy more of the pure jungle and trees and plants. So nice.

It’s probably a 2 to 3 hour round trip hike from the Venus road car park. Did it with the 2 kids with some complaints towards the end. Take some snacks and water and enjoy some of the sights. Some steps and rocks along the way some might be best with some walking boots. Well sign posted and generally good sun cover from the trees. Car parking is ok but it it was busy on Saturday morning when we went and had to wait for a space

Had a great hike at TreeTop Walk. We collectively hiked around 5 miles I believe. Bring water as it is hot and an umbrella if visiting during rainy season. We spotted a small snake, a turtle and a couple of water monitors.

A one way 250 meter path that passes over/on the level of Singapore’s central water catchment rainforest area. The views are great, as you are able to see the trees below you and on your level (as the bridge is over 100 meters above the ground), some things include giant plumerias, a drainage basin in the distance. It is possible to see some tropical birds, butterflies and rarely snakes, but we did not see any this time.

  • 5/5 Alyssa S. 1 month ago on Google • 19 reviews New
We did the long walk (2h) to cross the park and we stop by the bridge. Great view but if you just go for the bridge take note that's only about 100m long and some parts of the parc dont have walkway and can be really muddy. If you dont mind that, really beautiful scenery and ambiance.

Visiting the Treetop Walk on a weekend is an experience that seamlessly blends the thrill of adventure with the serenity of nature. Nestled amidst lush forests, the elevated walkway invites visitors to a unique vantage point, offering panoramic views that stretch over the canopy, providing a bird's-eye perspective of the vibrant ecosystem below. The engineering marvel of the walkway itself, with its sturdy construction and thoughtful design, ensures safety while enhancing the immersive experience of being amongst the treetops. The tranquility of the environment, punctuated by the sounds of wildlife, creates a soothing backdrop for a leisurely stroll or an introspective journey. The walk is accessible to people of all ages, making it a perfect family outing where even the youngest adventurers can marvel at the wonders of nature from an elevated position. The informative plaques placed along the path add an educational element, enriching the experience with insights into the local flora and fauna. However, the popularity of the Treetop Walk means weekends can be bustling, with larger crowds and possible wait times. Early arrival is advisable to fully enjoy the serenity before the busiest periods. Despite this, the sense of community among fellow nature enthusiasts adds to the charm of the experience, making the Treetop Walk a must-visit destination for those seeking an escape into nature's embrace.

The park is very beautiful, you definitely need to visit it, but it’s worth considering that the park has only 2 entrances, located next to each other, and if you go deep into the park, you won’t be able to get out of it quickly, plus there are a lot of ascents, descents and stairs on all routes. We went there for the suspension bridge and the path to it was difficult for us, but it was very beautiful. Be sure to take water with you.

People are very friendly on the hikes, lots of monkeys (who keep their distance, thankfully) and even spotted a pair of boars and a young boar. Wish the routes could be marked a bit more clearly, as not all of them are displayed, but a really beautiful location.

highly recommended. we visited yesterday and tried the orange trail. it's a nice hiking experience, even for my wife who barely exercise. we selected orange route and took us 3 hours to finish. The treetop walk is a bit scary in a windy day like yesterday. be mindful if you have acrophobia, it's one-way hanging bridge which you can't return once you step on it.

Well it's a long long walk in the forest but every step is worth taking and experience. It's a totally out of this world experience to walk above the trees or along the top of the tree. It gets humid at point do carry water. One should be energised and enthusiastic to take a 7 to 10 km walk into the wild

My second review cos Google won't let me combine 2 accounts: This walk is quite hard work but very rewarding. A word of warning - watch out for the primates. They can be quite aggressive. The view from the suspension bridge is breathtaking. We were drenched by a thunderstorm on the way down but that was a welcome relieve.

Walked about 11 miles total around the area. It was definitely worth it, great views, lots of wildlife, and a good work out. There were a couple water points and restrooms a long the way. The terrain varied, I wore flip flops, but would reccomend comfortable shoes.

One of the most boring walks I have ever gone...the bridge was crowded but nothing much to see and the bridge was so short...recommend people to go to Hort Park/Henderson Waves for better views

Hello this place is very amazing. I suggest this trail to everyone! The whole trail about 16 km. It is very good to runners also.

Love the suspension bridge! There's an awesome view from there, and if you're lucky, there might even be monkeys! (Saw one on a nearby tree).

Awesome! Go on a weekday when not as crowded. Good to spend a half day walking all the various trails.

Nice One of the few remaining extensive "green areas" in Singapore. Lots of shade, not many animals if you are walking in the middle of the day. The walkway can be quite high in some places, so you can get some nice views. Definitely bring water if walking during the day.

Good morning mini hike surrounded by greenary and fresh air. Has multiple trails and tracks to try, everytime there is one new thing to see in this place. One thing I definitely miss is if a few guards would be implanted in every mile or two in case of emergencies would be great.

There is really a mesmerising view at the top. You can have a three-sixty view of the entire forest and you could see buildings far away from you. There are usually monkeys there so when you visit there, be sure not to take out any food or drinks, even mineral water, as the monkeys might snatch it away. Also be sure to guard your phone when taking photos. A good spot to hike with your loved ones and an outing with your friends!

highlight of several hiking routes of different lengths in the nature reserve. On the free-standing suspension bridge you have a great view of the surrounding nature. A round trip including the tree top walk is about 7 km to 10 km.

There is jungle in Singapore. If you like nature come to MacRitchie reservoir. I walked from the rail corridor and back to rail corridor, estimate this is abt 12 km round trip. That route is longer than from venus drive, but very beautiful and worth the longer distance. The road is slippery in or after rain, remember good walking schoes and LOTS of water. Nice view of the jungle from the tree top walk.

Nice place for hiking, but be careful with monkeys, they will follow you if they see you have food.

Nice and pleasant views of the tree tops from the suspension bridge. Note that in order to get up here you have to walk up a steep hill. Also it's only one way on the bridge so you'll be stuck doing the boardwalks going all the way down, a much longer than the trek getting up the hill to the bridge.

Nice and love it... Good place for those who love hike and nature... Fresh air and short escape from hectic life... There's plenty of routes to choose... Please be careful with monkeys...

Really cool treetop bridge/walk it's bigger than I thought and looks very well made!! Monkeys are free to roam across the bridge and we were lucky enough to have one join us up there, all be it very briefly. You cannot turn back once committing, so if you have a fear of heights like myself you have to put on your 'big pants' and brave it, as it's strickly 1 way and that is forward! Something worth noting Certainly worth it though, views are great and makes for a very cool part of a nice hike through MacRitchie.

Treetop Walk was pure outdoor awesomeness. A trek through nature with lots of beautiful forests and cool animals.

This is an awesome hike and you get to walk on a beautiful draw bridge above trees on top of a rainforest. The complete hike takes 4-5 hours. It can rain all of sudden making the hike tough so be prepared. Also if there is lightning risk they would close the bridge walk at moments notice. So be prepared. We were fortunate that the rain cleared up soon.

Fun experience with family and friends. Tough walk but it was worth it! Get to see some friendly turtles while going to the treetop. Just beware of monkeys, when they hear plastic wrappers monkeys will come to you! BEWARE!

Nice walk through the nature reserve, the bridge has nice scenic views. Make sure to have at least basic cardio for the stairs.

Probably the best Place to experience singapores local nature and animals . After a nice hike up to the tree top bridge you get rewarded with a breathtaking view over the rainforest. Definitely my favorite memory of the whole trip.
