Amazing! Didn’t expect to see a Butterfly Garden in the airport. Thought it isn’t a big area, it is just nice to do a quick visit. You can have the opportunity to see the butterflies feeding on the flowers and the slices pineapple pieces. The number of butterflies was perfect; you will have ample opportunity to stroll and view and also to take pictures with the butterflies. Thankfully, the number of butterflies wasn’t too many to create a scene in a horrible movie. Great place to drop by! Excellent!!!!

This Butterfly Garden at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 air side and is free for all travelers. Only problem is you have to find this as there are very few signage, still ask for the smoking room to anyone, and its very near to that and the second landmark is its near to the Koi Pond. Few says that it’s the first butterfly garden in an airport and you can find many species and thousands of colorful butterflies and the star attraction is two-story grotto waterfall. The entire garden is two-stories — entrance is on the upper floor and the exit is placed on the floor below. A staircase which follows along a waterfall leads from the second floor to the main floor. After entering the glass doors and then passing through heavy plastic strips curtains, to help ensure the butterflies don’t escape, you will reach the garden. Though it’s not very big in terms of footprint, although with soaring ceilings, giving the butterflies plenty of altitude to fly, although most of course hovered around the flowers, to drink the nectar. You can also see a butterfly incubator to showcase the various stages of development of a butterfly. It is a great spot to get away from the hustle of an airport for a few moments. The greenery, the waterfall, the beautiful winged creatures and the fresh air all seem to refresh you as you explore, especially if you have young kids and you need to pass some time waiting for your boarding..

A fluttering feast for the eyes, this unique 2-storey garden houses various species of butterflies of vibrant hues. It is quite an experience to be in the same space as these creatures as they fly around you harmlessly, often landing and feeding on the nectar on fruit such as pineapple. There is also a chamber on the lower floor containing cocoons in progressive stages of metamorphosis, which is quite a wonder.

The butterfly garden is located in Terminal 3, it is situated near the FREE movie theater. The butterfly garden is 2 levels with a spiral staircase. Therefore if you have a trolley with luggage, consider the luggage storage service so you can explore freely. This attraction is great for children, families and adults as well. It is a very relaxing environment and also very educational too. This butterfly garden is FREE, so worth checking out if you are in the area.

If you need a moment of zen/wonder between flights, this is the place. The multistory waterfall was beautiful and the place feels like a lush mini-oasis in a large airport. You can find it next to the huge food court in Terminal 3. Don't miss heading up the spiral staircase.

Had a fantastic time at the Butterfly Garden area at the Singapore Changi Airport. You can capture some great pics of the butterflies, just watch your step as there are many fluttering around on the floor. It's a pleasant spot to explore before catching your flight and spend a few minutes out of your layover. We Spent half an hour soaking in the butterflies and the atmosphere, despite it being a small area. There are a lot of butterfly varieties, it was a wholesome experience admiring them. The best part? It's absolutely free for all passengers! A brief but genuinely enjoyable encounter with these wonderful butterflies. Definitely recommend taking a moment to check it out! 🦋

Changi Airport is one of the best airports. I usually transit through Changi Airport. There are so many things to make yourself useful especially if you are on transit. Every time I visit there is something new to explore and therefore I do not mind the layover. Had a great time visiting the butterfly 🦋🦋🦋 garden at the singapore airport✈️. So many varieties. Take your kids if you do visit. They will surely enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and the little creatures 😍

A lovely place to kill some time at the airport. You can walk around and look at the various butterflies flying around the garden. Lots of information on the different types of butterflies and the many plants in the various tropical regions. Definably worth the visit!!

Definitely worth visiting and it's better than some of the other butterfly enclosures I have seen in other parts of SE Asia. Like Singapore, there's a large number (of butterflies) in a small space, but the butterflies are very pretty. It's amazing it's free and the pineapples look tasty too (but don't eat them of course). Located in T3 and be accessed from main floor level or upstairs.

This is a unique idea to take a tour to nature. I must say Chengi Airport is one of the cutest and wonderful place to spend time . Garden is small place where you can take a time off for 10 minutes. Wonderfully placed and organised.

A small and clean sanctuary for these butterflies 🦋 there’s a little vertical fountain to add moisture and things to do for these colourful creatures 🩷 just wondering if anyone asked the butterflies if they can handle the noise of the airplanes since it is an open-air environment? Or at least have research done before placing them there 🤔 nonetheless it serves humans well as a short touristic spot

Located in T3, we took the airport shuttle train from T1 to come and see the Butterfly Garden. It is beautifully set up with numerous varieties of plants and butterflies and lots of insightful information about it all on display to read. There are two levels inside the garden, so keep that in mind if carrying large suitcases. Small carry-on bags are easy to navigate as you walk around the Garden. There is a continuous flow of people coming and going, so be prepared to navigate around people and children as well while you’re looking at butterflies. That said, it’s well worth the visit and definitely recommend checking it out if you’re at Changi airport and have time to spare :)

Beautiful but also disturbing visuals. Heard about this garden so many times and finally got to see it. It was beautiful with lots of different butterflies. The Butterfly incubation pod was very educational showcasing the stages of larvae to butterfly. BUT the biggest disturbing visual was seeing so many dead butterflies stuck in boundary walls and ceiling as if they were trying to escape. I'm not sure if it is not being maintained correctly causing the death of so many butterflies or if it is just a natural cycle. Entered in an excited state but left with mixed feelings.

Beautiful!! Had some time on hand to check this garden out before the next flight. The view is fantastic. So many butterflies of all kinds, greenery, and larvae. A very good information on the life cycle of butterfly and its growth. Definitely go there to soak yourself in the chirpy yet calm and relaxing atmosphere.

It is a amazing thing, for a airport to have a butterfly garden. It's a good place to visit when the people are waiting for their flight. The butterfly garden is inside the departure area. When we enter the garden, we are excited because we directly can saw the butterfly were flying in a natural view. We were watching the butterfly flying all around us which we were walking around. Unfortunately, the place is small so it's hard to walk around when too many people inside at one time. If the space is bigger then it will be more nice to visit. But overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful place at Changi Airport Terminal 3 departure, highly recommend to visit whenever you are in the area. The Butterfly garden is an enclosed greenhouse accessible from 2 different floors, located behind 7 Eleven on level 3 and Hudsons Coffee on level 2, inside the garden there is a waterfall flowing from the second level down to the first, there are many platforms for the butterflies to land on and also a pupa cage. Bringing in food and touching of butterflies are strictly not allowed.

Lovely little place to visit. This is however a very tiny garden with a few butterfly species and a good variety of plants. Plan 15 minutes for this place at most. Well maintained and clean... and not extremely humid as most butterfly gardens are.

I am impressed with the efforts of Changi Airport to incorporate such a space like this. While you are waiting for your next flight, take some time to immerse yourself in nature for a few minutes. We go through life too quickly and often times fail to enjoy the simple things. The sun has set during my visit and therefore the butterflies are not as active. But I believe if given a chance, coming in close proximity of these fragile and beautiful creatures will be a treat.

Butterfly Garden is located in Singapore Changi Airport’s terminal 3. Which can be accessed easy by tram or 10 min walk from terminal 1 and 2. The garden has various specie of beautiful and colourful butterflies. Airport authority also created habitat for all in one place with continuous water flow in hot weather to prevent overheating inside glasshouse. They feed pineapple 🍍 slices to them keep healthy and active during daytime. During visit I have also observed incubation chamber located inside glasshouse providing glance at various stages of butterfly life cycle including, eggs, 🥚 larvae 🐛, pupae, and adult butterfly 🦋. Nice place for people interested in biology and entomology. Enjoy some slow motion videos and photos captured by me.

So much of a surprise to find a butterfly garden, free of entry, in an airport terminal! Area isn't big, and no staff in sight. But plenty of pretty butterflies and even got signboards and incubators to let kids learn about the growth cycle. Am a bit hot inside, so if you're in winter clothes ready for a cooler place, probably can't stand it for more than 15min... But I'll surely return with a proper camera!

Beautiful butterfly garden. I'm not much of a butterfly person but I found this place to be nice. You can spend time looking for the butterflies some in plane sight and others you have to look for. It can get crowded in here depending on the time, but if you have the time and patience it's worth a look.

If you're waiting for your next connecting flight, this is one of the many attractions within Changi Airport that you should visit. Two floors of lushy decorated interior gardens with many different species of butterfly. A lot of little panels full of information too if you're looking to learn a bit more. Do note though that it does get quite busy, and the somewhat cramped design here is exaggerated when larger crowds visit.

Very pretty. It was almost dark, but the lighting and ambience was surreal. No real butterflies in my photos, but the view more than made up for it. I know it's necessary for the butterflies, but I couldn't stay in there for long due to the humid heat. Still 5 stars for the amazing garden.

A gem hidden away at the back of Terminal 3 its well sign posted once you reach the shops. The butterfly garden is a lovely respite for anyone that's either on a transfer or departing Singapore as it's on the departure side of security. It can get quite hot and there is a limit to the number of people permitted in at one time. Once inside there are low feeding trays to bring the butterflies down to you and the open canopy allows the butterflies to fly freely creating beautiful colours in the air. There's also a chrysalis area so you may see some butterflies some emerging if you're lucky

It’s such a lovely garden to see the beautiful butterflies while waiting to transfer. It’s amazing that they can create a botanical garden inside right inside the airport, and it’s just like a real outdoor butterfly garden. Butterflies are happily flying everywhere around you. It definitely worth visiting, and I would suggest to come to the airport earlier so that you can fully enjoy walking around this garden.

Located at Terminal 3. It's a lovely garden. Free admission. A nice place to hang out before boarding time. No solid cover. No air conditioned. Unfortunately, It's raining heavily when I visit. Unable to stay there longer. Not many butterflies flying. Only saw 2 butterflies on the pineapple slices before the rain.

Incredible to see a place like this inside an airport terminal. Brilliant set up with unique butterflies as well as the national Singaporean butterfly. Many of them just chill on the pineapple slices. Takes around 10mins to visit but can take longer if you want to read about each butterfly type. Located in terminal 3 after the immigration gate. So if your flight is at terminal 3, go to see the jewel at terminal 1 first before coming back to T3

Terminal 3 houses the butterfly garden. It's a really cool idea, but then we visited (mid may) there were few butterflies, so it wasn't overwhelming. It's also incredibly humid, more so than outside sure to the lack of a breeze. But it's a really cool idea and I'm sure when the butterflies are hatching, it must be amazing.

Small but nicely built. The garden is beautiful like a butterfly. Visiting it in an airport terminal is a refreshing experience for an air traveller. Children will definitely enjoy it. Spending some valuable time is recommended.

Talk about in-transit entertainment and Changi airport has it all. There are many beautiful places for spending time, but the cherry of the cake surely goes to Butterfly park. The interior decoration is a piece of modern art. You will be greeted with live butterflies flying around you, while some lazy ones keep still on the pineapples kept for it. This place offers detailed information on the life cycle of these magical coloured winged creatures while demonstrating how each of the steps of their life cycle takes place. Fun place to bring your family, and partner for a quick get away from the boredom of transit. Magnificent experience.

A small wonder in the busiest airport. Kids enjoyed alot. Was free to use. It's near the Terminal hotel. It's easy to find. My suggestion is to make such places wheelchair friendly, let all enjoy their travel.

A small butterfly garden at Twrminal 3 near Departure gates 3 past Immigration. The garden is of course quite small but there definitely are a lot of butterflies inside. Garden is at two levels, level 1 and level 2 but main area is at level 1 only. There is also a waterfall inside and an enclosure where pupae develop into full fledged butterflies. Lovely to see this transformation at various stages. Entrance is free and kids will surely love this place. Kudos for maintaining such a small space so nicely and still keeping it interesting. Whole trip will take 15 mins only.

It was great to have at an airport. I thought it was cool but don’t expect a botanical garden. It’s just a good small place to walk around and kill some time.

Amazing experience - simple beautiful, this nature full blissful experience is a class apart. It takes the feeling of being in between long transit away. Well done Changi Airport 🎉🎉

This is the most accessible part at Changi, but less numbers of butterflies 🦋 are there and not more cleaning required as most of the people used to visit this cabin.

I visited this palce by the endo of january 2020, just before the pandemic started. I have to say at that time it was IMPRESSIVE, it was well organized, clean, qith propper information about butteflies and host plants for caterpillars, it was not crowded at all and you could enjoy looking at very interesting buttefly species. It was totally free and easy to locate.

This is an amazing place to be at while waiting for my flight. I had spent over half and hour enjoying the butterflies and atmosphere despite being just a small area. Not a lot of varieties of butterfly but had a wholesome time admiring them. The best of all, this place is free of charge for all passengers to enter and have a short but great experience together with all the amazing butterflies!

👍👍 A beautiful garden at the Singapore Changi Airport in the T1! So many species of cactus to admire. It’s a beautiful idea and execution to have this natural space in the chaotic busy airport to rest and take a moment of peace! It’s also a smoke area and it’s in an open space from where you can have a...
