Delightful slice of history. Seems all of the famous of Singapore families are buried here. There is a lot of history so make sure to read the signs posted besides the graves. There are some places need you to hike to so come with hiking boots and long trousers. And bug spray. But highly recommended and suitable for all ages.

Getting here is a little interesting what with construction going on nearby but it is worth it. Step into a long lost forest of this nearly a century old cemetery and pay your respects to the forefathers, foremothers and their descendants as you learn more about Singapore's dynamic and fascinating history. Wear sturdy shoes, bug repellent, and carry your own water. Also remember to pack out any trash you bring and maybe pick up any trash you see (though there's not a lot of it laying around, thankfulky). This cemetery is full of art, stories, spirits, love and loss and the circle of life. You're surrounded by vines upon vines entwined amongst the barrel trunks of trees, wrapped along the facades of gravestones, trailing all, reminding us of our own roots, our own twisted journeys. A place for discovery of ancestors, of wildlife and wild woods. Highly recommended.

It is really worth a visit and take a walk along the road and you will get to see tombs of different group of Chinese (Teow Chew and Hokkien). There is no toliet nor shade in case of rain so do come prepared for all kinds of weather.

This is our heritage cemetery. It has famous poineers buried there. Some of the graves looks very huge and grand even have statue of guards on duty. Most of the graves are very old , even over 100 years old. This cemetery faces near destruction, luckly through many efforts of all concern citizens most parts of it is saved.I sugguest the cemetery can be turned into a national heritage in honour of those great efforts contributed by those poineers buried there. Dated :12/06/2017 (Monday).

The talks (conducted by All Things Bukit Brown and can be found on Peatix) were very nice (I attended the ones by Darren and Fabian). The research material is meticulous and thorough. The stories shared are not only about the history of this cemetery and its residents, but what connections they had with Singapore at a time when the island-nation was very much in a state of flux. In addition, also shared were architectural features, concepts of Chinese tombs and the social stories of those buried here, which really helped form an intimate picture of Singapore, that goes much beyond the glitzy skyscrapers and air-conditioned malls that most visitors tend to associate Singapore with. A few pointers about the cemetery. It can easily be accessed by public transport and taxi. There is significant construction activity, so it might take a while to get oriented. The place itself can be slippery after overnight rains, so visitors do need to keep an eye out for where they step. Although it is not exactly physically challenging, it should be noted that there is considerable undergrowth at some places and the tours are usually three hours long, which could be a bit draining under hot and humid conditions. Also there are no benches, drinks vending machines and washrooms nearby. So it is better to not attempt these walks on days when one may not be feeling up to his/her normal self. Do dress up in long sleeved clothing, reliable footwear and perhaps bring along a cap and mosquito repellant.

I visited this place with my family. My children found this place very much interesting. They took all the adventure rides. I loved the snorkeling. There are lots of exciting rides. Please take extra dress and towels with you and keep sufficient time in you hand to visit this place. You may need to take a locker to put your bag inside, so make you bag small so that single locker is convenient for you. And you need only the entry ticket rest of the rides are free.

Bukit Brown Cemetery n Kopi Sua - are they the same? No they are not the same. But both are equally forested n very interesting to hike. Lots of flora n fauna to see n definitely lots of photo opportunities Do hike there but please be safe.

Best access points are either via the entrance closest to Lornie Road, or nearer to MacRitchie and the main visitor's centre there. Many well known families in Singapore have relative's graves here, the vast majority of which are not immediately obvious so do take some time to read the signs and info. available as you walk around. I personally found the stories amd details incredibly fascinating, so well worth taking it all in whilst here. The temple, abandoned cars, "avatar trees" and other sights are all visible and accessible if you know where to look. Enjoy your visit!

Went to BBC last week. We took grab from Kheam Hock Park as we were unsure of the place and even the driver was unsure of the place too. Anyways we wanted to see the famous graves which were in the google but we didnt see any of those. Maybe we enter in by another way.It was more to the highway side. Anws the cemetery was peaceful. And there were nobody except us and a cyclist plus some construction workers. We saw a dead baby snake(super bright green)Such a sad thing to see.Hope it RIP. Anyways we tried to find the abandon cars and the temple. (the entrance is quite near to the KHP). We could not find the abandon cars which was seriously disappointing as I was looking forward to it. But we manage to find the temple.😊Do wear long pants and comfortable shoes and also dont forget to bring insect repellent and water.

What a great surprise! The place has something wild and historic. Have a close look at the graves and the signs there, but keep an eye open for the monkeys in the trees. Away from the manicured gardens, get ready to have some mud on your shoes! Dogs are allowed.

I joined an introductory walk with "Singapore Heritage - Bukit Brown Cemetery" (Google for the fb group!). Very informative and walking in a bigger group makes it less "scary". Highly recommended! Remember to bring an umbrella for the unpredictable rainfall, if it doesn't rain, you can still use it as a walking stick to make your way through the undergrowth. Wear long pants and long sleeves and apply mozzie spray to any exposed area too!

Not a lot of rides I would say, but if you love the waving thingy you are in for it! The wave pools are like so huge once I almost drown luckily my father was there to save me haha.........For the food I wouldn't say is so good that you wanna jump in the swimming pool and kill yourself ,but I must say its the good old classic I used to eat in my 90s.

This morning, I took a bus and alighted at Lornie Highway. Then I walked for 20 minutes to my great-grandmother's grave in Bukit Brown. A big iron gate with its solid pillars marked the entrance to the cemetery. Along the way, I was immersed in nature. The air was fresh and there was greenery every where. There were elaborate tombs with intricate carvings while others looked ordinary. On reaching the grave of my great-grandmother, my father, brother and I swept it clean. We then offered our prayers and burn incense papers and joss sticks. Over all, it was a good experience for me.

Have visited this place entering from both the usual entrances before. It's well worth a half-day visit. Best to be armed with insect repellent and if hiking through the dense undergrowth, a stick of some kind. There are helpful guides available online to read more about the history and the architecture of the various tombs or you can just take a walk through and see what you see. Just be sure to exit before the sun sets as there are no streetlights farther into the cemetary.

Ong Sam Leong Tomb. Looks huge to show his prestige as a Peranakan business owner. Bullet marks can be seen on the tiles during the Battle of Bukit Timah in 1942. Recommend outfit: Sport shoes or shoes that are non slip, long sleeve shirt, track pants. If can, a hat.

Well, It was great experience to be there for second time. Best is the Adventure River that I can tell enjoyable and post then the Tidal wave 🌊 its pretty good. If you have children then must visit is Big Bucket Tree House. it’s pretty enjoyable for kids. Other rides i believe it’s pretty decent. yes, Go to Wet maze you can enjoy. Why one star less is its not that big and water ride option are decent not the best.

The staff is unable to see that the weather 30 minutes after we got in was going to be that bad, that the park would close for the rest of the day. So we paid the full price and were forced to leave all the attractions few minutes later. In addition you have to pay for everything in there: the locker is 20S$ for a day for example. I was glad that the showers were free. This places goal is definitely getting your money, not you having a nice afternoon. I am sorry for my little nephew...

Not that much good as I have expected. They are always on money and do not provide that much fun for us. The facilities are really not good and the attitude of the workers are not good at all. There is no good food there at all. As a tourist, I prefer Wild Wild Wet to Adventure Cove Waterpark. If you are willing to have fun, I would not recommend this activity eventhough it may sound engaging. Due to the current situation for now, there may be hardly anyone visiting that waterpark anyways.

I like the vibes and chilling atmosphere! always coming back! If you like water activities then it was made for you! I live to visit this place otw to sentosa beach! since I love the vibes over there! I have an abonnement for 6 month. So to cheer myself and friends up , we will always go there! I will start with a round river ride! It a very crowded sometimes so I will do it during weekdays! You can get an express pass if you dont want to wait! Give it a try!

(Translated by Google) A Chinese cemetery that has been around since 1923. There were 10,000 tombs in 1973. Unlike Japanese graves, it is interesting to look at it in various ways, but be careful as it is wide and has a bad footing and is attacked by a large number of mosquitoes. I don't recommend it at night as there was a hole on the burial where something came out (Original)
