This church is in the middle of the Bugis-Bras Basah area. Very accessible. You won't miss it. Confessions from 11:30 am to 1 pm (or so) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I forgot the other schedules. They have masses at 1:15 and 6:30 pm on weekdays. Saturday anticipated mass at 5 pm. Sunday masses at 8 am, 10 am and 5 pm.

I studied at St. Anthony Boys’ School in the 1980s and this church had been there since. In fact built in the 1890s (I guess), this church has been around for a long time! The restoration was completed this July (2022) and definitely worth a visit. Even the drain where I used to brush my teeth remained, but unfortunately the Angsana tree is gone.

Very beautiful church, especially the sculptures inside. It also has a rich history, dated as early as 1825. Anybody can visit.

The recently renovated St Joseph Church in Bugis, Singapore, stands as a testament to the rich heritage of the Portuguese and European communities. Located within the Raffles town plan, the cathedral serves as a spiritual haven and gathering place for both communities. Meticulously restored, it showcases historical charm and reflects the architectural preferences of the European settlers. With its soaring ceilings and beautiful altars, the cathedral continues to host religious ceremonies and cultural events. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant spirit of these communities, experiencing Singapore's multicultural tapestry firsthand.

I wish I'd made the effort to visit this church, as I was later mesmerized by the 2 nightime pictures I'd taken of it after leaving Raffles. Looks beautiful.

One of the most beautiful Catholic Churches in Singapore. There is one more St. Joseph church in bukit timah area. St. Joseph church on Victoria Street now is on temporary closure from 1Aug 2017 for 1 year or longer.

A charming old world catholic church that has underwent a recent restoration. Filled with relics and statues of saints and stained glass windows that tells of a story of a bygone Era. A wonderful place for contemplative silence and thinking. Even comes with two ancient confessional booth for the wretched to confess their sins to an ever attentive priest during Sunday mass. The perfect place for the peaceful and the not at peace alike.

Beautiful Church where Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 2pm. Latin Rosary at 1:30pm.

Been restored so while the art and decor looks like it belongs to a bygone era, the structure is 'born again'. I understd the old floor tiles which were hand painted have been re-hand painted for those that were not damaged to not too damaged. Those in disrepair were handed over to Vietnamese artists to replicate so they are a match for those that cld be restored. Lighting cleverly set up at night to truly enhance the ambience and look but inside also received same careful attention & restorative works. Attending Mass there must be quite an experience but see for yourself !

Stepping into this beautifully-restored church is akin to stepping back in time. After the weekday evening service, I sat down for a little quiet time in prayer. A leisurely tour was a must to take in the grandeur of this beauty. I left on a spiritual high with an added spring in my step albeit the drizzle. Easily accessible by train and a short walk away. 🙏🏽

This is the Church that my brother and I were baptised in . So well restored and beautiful. Its now air-conditioned and they were even able to find the original floor tiles and benches. Wonderful. I would only like to suggest that the sound system be improved and we were unable to clearly hear the priest during Mass. Excellent 👌 👌 👌 job

What an outstanding church! Beautiful!! Magnifico!! And very peaceful!! This church was near our hotel in our visit to Singapore and it is a very quaint and tranquil place. Such a very nice place to talk to God and whisper your love and prayers to him. I will remember this place and revisit it again once I get back to SG. Truly a wonderful and outstanding place!

A beautiful church. We visited during a weekday on a mid day so there were no people. We went inside, said some prayers then took pictures outside. Love this church.

Beautifully restored. Peaceful place to be for a quiet time and for Mass. Outdoor view of three children at Fatima looks like a miniature of the real one in Fatima, Portugal.

Architecturally a beautiful church, designed in the shape of a Cross like most old churches. You really have to walk round the inside of the church to see all the beautiful statues of the Saints, the beautiful stained glass looks stunning from the outside when the church is lit.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting St. Joseph's Church in Victoria Street, Singapore, and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. As soon as I walked through the doors, the beautifully restored church's stunning architecture and intricate details struck me. The grandeur of the high ceilings and ornate columns made me feel like I was standing in a place of great reverence and spiritual significance. I was in awe of the beautiful stained glass windows that bathed the church in a warm, colourful glow. However, the highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the fantastic choir. The music that filled the church was simply divine. The harmonies were so pure and ethereal that they transported me to another world. Overall, my visit to St. Joseph's Church was a truly incredible experience. The sheer beauty of the architecture and the spiritual energy of the place struck me. If you ever find yourself in Singapore, I highly recommend visiting this magnificent church.

A majestic cathedral with a 115-year history - some say it's longer. Many parishioners are not aware that there's another church of the same name on Upper Bukit Timah Rd. St Joseph's on Victoria St still maintains the traditions that set apart from the other catholic churches. I've been attending the Good Friday procession almost every year and it has never failed to attract hundreds of locals and tourists including non-Catholics.

St Joseph's is an old church that has recently been beautifully restored. The statues of the saints and angels are the original ones and nicely retouched. The arched ceilings has been repaired, retaining the unpretentious wooden slats. The stained glass windows were simple and beautiful. Overall, the church had been beautifully restored and there is a sense of calm when one is in the church.

One of Singapore's historical Catholic churches. It was under renovation few months back and still ongoing I believe. Was fortunate to hear mass here years back. Would love to visit & hear mass here again once this church re-opens following its renovation. A very beautiful church with rich history. Posting some old photos taken in 2017.

Very beautiful church with reverent liturgies. Home to the Singapore Latin Mass Community, which worships every Sunday at 3 p.m. Magnificent sacred art and architecture, with exquisite stained glass and countless statues, plus little Portuguese scenes relating to Our Lady of Fatima depicted in blue and white tiles on the outer walls. Conveniently located near Bugis Junction. An important part of Singapore's history. My grandma had her funeral wake here, and it was a good resting place, convenient for mourners to come and pray. Also, being near Sts Peter and Paul, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd and Our Lady of Lourdes, easy for Catholics to make a mini-pilgrimage through all 4 churches.

Saint Joseph's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Singapore. It is located along Victoria Street in the Rochor Planning Area, within the Central Area of Singapore's central business district. The church was constructed from 1906–12 with its foundation stone laid in 1904. The building was built in the Gothic style by the Portuguese Mission. Saint Joseph's Church is noted for its Portuguese-inspired religious traditions, such as the annual Good Friday celebrations

It’s very quiet and wonderful place to calm yourself down here. When I visit here, it’s very hot outside but when the wind blows, I felt cool a bit and comfortable. It opens for public so when you happen to be here, you can have a look inside:) *the opening date, you need to search on the internet or contact to check.

Beautiful church with an amazing priest, Father Christoph. Its architecture is unique in its Portuguese style and this reconstructed version has remained largely true to its initial form. The church is fully air-conditioned and the acoustics are still incredible. Have to agree with some of the reviews here though - some staff members are quite rude. But still visit Father Christoph, who really does embody the fundamentals of catholic inclusivity, humility and fellowship. Two annoying issues which made attending mass quite unpleasant have recently been solved: there was an incredibly rude elderly usher (a Caucasian lady) with a penchant for unnecessarily barking at church attendees who genuinely had no idea where to sit or place their stuff in an often overcrowded space. I guess most didn't tell her off for being discourteous out of respect to the mass, which is nice. But the expression on some of these poor people's faces afterwards was pitiful. The other thing is the cathedral choir, which really is phenomenal, and a must-see. Problem is the conductor seemed to prefer the sound of his own voice to that of the cathedral choir; thus many a moment was spent waiting for the aimless rambling and awkward phrasing to cease, and the hymns to commence. Thankfully, both the rude usher and the conductor have since moved away to the Cathedral which reopened recently, and St. Joseph's has regained its conducive environment.
