A quiet place serving up coffee, simple and good. Had standard latte and its to expectation. Have both indoor and outdoor sitting areas and usually not too crowded. They do serve waffles and some quick bites and also T2 tea (perhaps another time)!

Premise - simple and unpretentious. Staff - smiles that warms Coffee - let's dive into what matters, the brew. I had the 7oz White. Whilst the artwork can do with improvement, the coffee taste is a nice wake-me-up. The cup tastes well balanced and light but yet with every sip, the light touches of berries and flora collides in your mouth. TBH, the Meiji milk would be the biggest hack for cafe owners - being "naturally sweet" - that could have been a factor that made the cup sweeter than normal Whites. Nonetheless, the beans play the largest part and the artisanal brewing of the cup ensuring that the coffee and milk are not overdone. Loved every sip! Food - ooooo-lalaaaaaaaa Señorita. Mi amor ❤️ delicioso. This is as sexy as how cafe food should be like. The fluff of the egg, the creamy guac and the cheeky tangy salsa - OLÉ!!!! Pricing - say hello to value for money. Say greetings to pocket friendly. Coffee + tea + grub at 19! What sorcery is that!? Verdict - in the famous words of Arnie Schwartz.... I'LL BE BACH-K 👍🏾👍🏾

Nice little cafe located in a HDB area. The staff were nice, environment was great and the coffee was very nice. But I was a bit disappointed about the food. The bread was normal soft white bread not sourdough which make it lacked of some flavour. And for the waffle, it was simply soft not crispy.

Coffee is well balanced. Really love the creamy mushroom eggs. very creamy and we'll seasoned. I personally think sourdough bread can be used here, but not much complains. It's reasonably priced. Shakshouka is decent. Really love the addition of minced bell papers to give it a mild kick. Everyone there was very polite. Enjoyed my time there!

Made an effort to come down to this neighbor hood coffee shop and I’m glad I did it. Ordered a Magic (Latte with double espresso ) and the foam was creamy and heavy, I really enjoyed it. They also have a great selection for the filter coffee fans. Highly recommend this place for some serious coffee enthusiasts.

Nice and clean cafe, with enough seats indoors and outdoors. Iced Long Black ($4.50) I was recommended the long black and I chose the iced version because of the unforgiving weather. Definitely one of the best long blacks I have tried in Singapore, and I would want to try a hot cup of long black next time. Classic Waffle ($7) Honestly it is just an above average waffle. Perhaps I will try the other signature waffles, which hopefully taste as good as they sound.

Second visit to the cafe. Shared a takeout iced mocha with the wife. She felt that it wasn't sweet enough but I had to correct her that mocha isn't meant to have sweeteners other than the chocolate. It was good that the aroma of the coffee is distinct. Quite a good cup of joe. But not so good for me now with a wife annoyed at me.

Search where to use CDC voucher and find this cafe. Iced white and iced mocha latte are great and balanced. Foods are tasty but portion could be more. Also, price is a bit high. Staff there are friendly.

This cheery boutique coffee and waffles joint is quickly becoming my favourite in Singapore. They offer a rotating range of roasts from Nylon and elsewhere, brewed with panache and served with a smile. Their buttermilk waffles are light and crispy to boot. I try to avoid them during lunchtime, not just because they get busy, but also because the aroma of caramelised onions (for their brunch sandwiches) is just a little too much temptation to endure. Come often enough and they'll know your preferences when you walk in---and they may even offer you under-the-counter specials they're saving for their own pleasure...

Friendly staff, nice ambience and flavourful coffee. Cafe does not have much indoor space but there were quite many outdoor seats. Burger was yummy. Recommend to pay a visit if you are nearby. :) Visited on 13 Oct. Will be back to take the waffle and matcha drink (P/S: the burger is Ms. Sunrise) Update: tried their waffle with ice cream and its quite good! Recommended!👍🏻👍🏻

Cute little cafe that specializes in coffee! I tried their white coffee with soy milk (extra 50 cents) and it was quite good! The coffee wasn’t too bitter nor overpowering and it blended smoothly with the milk. Was pretty refreshing! The place/decor also looks nice and ambient, would recommend if you’re around the area!

Update 29/11/20 - updated to 4 stars. I would say that the brewing here is better than at the actual Nylon outlet and must commend the staff for proper extraction. Definitely a more aromatic flavour this time around, possibly because the first time was a single shot, although I remember requesting for a double shot so I think it might be the roast this week. I think improving the quality of the takeaway cup would help to keep the coffee hot longer since it's being steamed to ideal temp. I drove for 15 minutes before drinking so it was definitely a left in the cup for too long. Will come back again to try the food, hope to upgrade to 5 stars! Coffee not to my taste, but I can understand what they're trying to go for in terms of concept. Even with the expanded space, seating is very limited so had to sit outside. Outside a bit warm in the day, but then again today was a pretty hot day. In terms of brewing, definitely a correct ratio and use of nylon's beans is a good choice. Will come back again and try since Nylon always changes their beans around, probably will revise and give a higher rating next time around.

Bought the iced white, which I felt was a tad acidic and bitter. On the contrary, the Magic my friend got was excellent.

One of the best coffees in Singapore!! Really must try. Order the Magic for more intense taste or a 5oz Balanced for a smooth aromatic sensation. Food menu is slightly limited but still a good selection for a light & hearty meal. Will definitely be back to try the food. 😋

A great chill place at a nice location. They have an indoor aircon area and also an outdoor alfresco area. The outdoor concept is great for people to bring their pet dogs or to cycle there. The cafe is also near to a park connector which links beyond Buona Vista and down to Bukit Batok. I may be nitpicking, but I guess it would be better if there are lesser ice cubes since it dilutes the coffee or use mashed ice. Nonetheless, a great place and I'll definitely be back when I cycle this route. The food is great as well!

Tucked away in a quiet spot of Clementi. The atmosphere was really nice and quiet. Small tables lay outside the shop and trees provided much needed shade from the afternoon heat. The store is nestled within this shaded pavilion next to a few bakeries and a gelato store. Definitely a cute meeting spot for friends and family. They had an assortment of cafe style food that looked pretty tasty and were decently priced. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. I asked for a coffee recommendation and was recommended their ice white. Note: their coffee is served unsweetened in order for you to savor the coffee flavor. I did let them know that I enjoy my coffee sweetened and they offered to adjust after i tried it unsweetened. The coffee is quite nice and something to try. It had a nice blend of both bitter and sour notes. The coffee aroma is very prominent throughout the drink despite the milk and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. If in the area and having a coffee craving, i believe the atmosphere, location and drinks would pair for a nice afternoon pick me up.

We always get the Sunrise burger here when we are in the area. The bun is buttery and flavourful and tastes amazing with the hot sauce and scrambled eggs. I just wish it was bigger. The beef rigatoni and shakshouka are simple and homely, but again.. I wish the portions were bigger lol. This is a proper coffee place that serves quality coffee. The mocha is well-balanced such that you can taste the slight bitterness of the espresso and just a hint of chocolate.. exactly how a mocha should be done. Can’t stand a sweet mocha…

Thank you to Hee Wei and Eve for creating such a nice cafe and great coffee and making our sunset way neighborhood that much of a more relaxing place. Also congrats on your 2022 championship! The staff, including the baristas such as Jonathan are always very warm and endearing to me and make me feel welcome. I look forward to my iced hojicha latte, whites, chocolates and mochas. For weekend brunches, I recommend the Mac and cheese and light and tasty beef rigatoni. Just make sure to come before they close kitchen at 2:30 usually. A bit pricey for the more frugal customer, but always worth it to me. Olla also doesn’t have a phone to make advanced orders so please take note to come in person and enjoy the atmosphere they’ve created here. Olla prides itself on great coffee without needing sugar or additives to taste great and I think it lives up to that, but the staff are nice enough to add sugar if you ask. Although they’re more suited for coffe enthusiasts, for someone who doesn’t take strong coffee like me, they’re also willing to do single espresso shots rather than the regular double, but take note that there’s no decaf! Their waffles until 4pm are crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside and soak up ice cream nicely to taste great. Of the 4 or 5 options for waffles in sunset way, Olla closes waffles the earliest, but overall has to be the best. The ondeh ondeh with Pandan ganache and gula melaka ice cream really is something special. They also have a slight discount on takeaway drinks if you bring your own tumbler or container for drinks, so if you’re regular bring your own cup! Hope your second Olla branch does well too. From a regular and satisfied customer, Ethan

Lovely coffee place at Sunset Way. The staff are really friendly and the coffee is great (I ordered a 7 oz White) Do note that the prices on the menu excludes GST. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to chill, this is the place for you. Would definitely come back here again for coffee and try out their brunch menu.

Tried ice latte with limu esspresso. Was searching for light roast coffee, they suggested this. Will not say it’s close. It has strong bitter taste which a light roast would not give. Service crew is v helpful in choosing the beans.

Good coffee, great ambiance, friendly and cheerful enthusiastic servers. The spread of food options is limited but tastefully prepared, may have a little longer waiting time during peaks, but enjoyable place nonetheless. We do visit the place often and love to entertain friends there when there is a need for a different setting than a home, though it’s just a short 2-3 minute walk away☺️

Great coffee, folks here are serious about coffee. Good balance of milk and coffee, just enough to complement and not overpower either way. Can tell they take special care in maintaining consistency of the coffee making process

Excellent coffee, food, service, price point, ambience, presentation. Thanks for putting these altogether. Thoughtful and enjoyable :) My only input is, no need to address customers based on gender (sir, mdm etc) because it's not possible to know pronouns without being informed ;) be inclusive!

Excellent coffee. This latest cup of magic (double shot 7 oz), made with Ethiopia Buku Sayisa beans roasted by Nylon and Meiji milk, had a robust, balanced, nutty, fruity flavour and good aftertaste was. From an earlier visit, the avocado scrambled egg toast was above average. The toast itself was good.

I felt the need to share my encounter as I had been a service staff before and I am also a person who is able to exercise flexibility when situation calls for it... And I felt that one particular staff here did not and it tainted my first experience at this place. It was a very sad day for a good friend of mine.. Her husband passed away from battling cancer and we just got back to Clementi from the crematorium. I had a late lunch at Sunset Way and decided to get a gelato as it was a rather hot day and I guess I needed that to lift up my spirits a little. My husband has been raving about Olla's coffee and I thought I'd surprise him with a cup of his favourite 'Magic' before I head home. As I was about to check in with Safe Entry, I saw my friend and her sibling seated at one of the tables. Suppose they needed some caffeine before heading back to collect the ashes... I thought I'd just grab a cup of tea myself and my hubs' coffee to go but I'd join them for a bit. But I'm not even half done with my gelato in hand. So I told the service staff (whom I can describe as a pudgy bespectacled young lady with long pony tail) that I was going to get my drinks to go, but I bumped into my friends here, and if it's fine for me just to sit with them for a bit but I've got my gelato with me. She immediately gave a curt reply and said "No outside food and drinks allowed". Now, I totally understand it, and I get it. So I tried my "luck" again by explaining that it was coincidental and I'd only stay for a few minutes and my drinks are to go anyway. She curtly repeated again that I'm not allowed to and proceeded to ignore me after I replied that I'm going to order anyway (frankly, if not for my husband I would have made a dignified exit and not proceed with my purchase given this particular staff's attitude towards me). I supposed on hindsight, the experience was salvaged as another friendlier staff attended to me instead. She told me I could wait at my friend's table (which is what I proposed to the pudgy one earlier???). 3 stars because my husband had so much praises for the coffee. I ordered a Hojicha latte for myself but pudgy girl spoiled it for me- 0 stars for her. No flexibility and horrible customer service. Would not patronise this place again.

Really like the "Sunrise" sandwich (recommended), latte (must call it "white") is good. Shakshuka took a long time to arrive, eggs overdone. Out of good intentions to support small businesses, gave the feedback to the staff when I was leaving, but felt snubbed. I guess their business is too good.

The coffee and waffles here are really nice. I like the fact that they serve coffee without sugar (unless requested otherwise) as it brings out the true flavour of the coffee. To add on, the staff here are very friendly and service oriented. I wish they could extend their operating hours though 😅. Anyway, I strongly recommend Olla coffee. Do patronise this cafe and experience it for yourself!

Had been eyeing for this little new cafe at sunset way but didn’t make it due to crowds. Finally at 9am today, we manage to get a table for 4 while walking around this neighborhood. We got ourselves a couple of classic pancakes, an avocado scramble egg toast and mr sunshine, with cups of 5oz (balance) white coffees. The classic pancake is excellent, even simply with a slide of butter. Highly recommended. The toasts are not bad either. However we do find the price for the pancakes and toasts are at the high side. Coffees are great. Smooth and rich, with a great balances of black and white. Friendly staffs and nice minimalist deco, and the crowds keep coming in and queuing…

Was in the area and decided to try out this famous cafe. The moment we opened the glass door, the aroma of their coffee beans flooded us and we were eager to try out their offerings. Ordered the mocha and waffle with ice cream (yeah not so much coffee), and was thoroughly disappointed.. ☕️ the mocha - I didn’t know what I’m drinking really.. it’s not bad tasting, perhaps it’s just that the coffee is a heavy kind that overpowers the entire drink 🧇 I have never eaten any waffle like this, there’s a taste that I can’t put a word to - same thing, it’s not bad tasting, but I just can’t appreciate it for what it is Probably won’t return as it really didn’t suit our palate..

Waffles - crispy.. Flavourful. Velvety. Senorita - mashed avocado w salsa and scrambled egg on toast.. Make it a good combination.. All the food are made ti perfection. Service at their TOPs. Parking sufficient around the estate I will definitely drop by again.

Edit: The bagels and sandwiches are superb!! Frequent this place more than twice a week yet haven’t grown tired of it 😬 “Superb coffee especially the magic, matcha lattes and houjicha - missing the 5th star because the hot chocolate was a slight letdown”

  • 5/5 Samirah M. 3 years ago on Google
Went here last weekend for a quick breakfast as I had a craving for waffles. Ordered a cup of matcha latte to go with my classic waffles. The waffles were light and crispy, and the matcha latte had a nice subtle bitterness to it. Will come back again some day to try other items on the menu. Wish there were more seating areas though, as this cafe does seem popular.

Buttermilk waffles is crispy on the outside fluffy in the inside. Topping off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Woolala.. Coffee is great, coffee bean was roasted by nylon roaster i have ordered 2 shots of espresso for my latte. A strong hint of chocolate notes appear after taste. craving for another slip. Ice mocha is just to the correct taste, not too sweet, its a great drink in a hot afternoon. I have order a baby cino, for my boy, slight disappointed for a mini mug of warm milk. Not much of frofting.

Elegant coffee served here and I make my own drip coffee. I had the Magic milk coffee but the beans here have depth, layers of complexity which isn't masked by the milk. Perhaps due to the double shot. Excellent cuppa though!

Wow, huge size serving of ice cream on the waffles. It was delicious and hits the spot. Enjoyed it too much, I forgot to take a picture of it. 😅 Even though I sat outside and dine Al fresco, the temperatures were forgiving as it was shaded. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Coffee comes in different intensity levels with options for additional shot and milk alternatives. We ordered magic and 5 oz white to try out the intensity. Both were great and nicely done. We also had the waffles with a scoop of Belgian chocolate ice cream. We liked the ice cream which was rich and not too sweet but waffles could be better.

The Magic (intense) white coffee is perfect drink for me! It lives up to its name. Shiok to the max! 👍🏼 The balanced white with oat milk no kick for me. I wish they have more enticing dessert options to go with their award winning coffee.. especially if it’s from Fredo’s which is just next door..

Was unpretentious and simple, but good. The coffee (Magic) hit the spot and the sourdough was fresh and tasty. The scrambled eggs were cooked well but could have a bit more flavour (i.e different, richer eggs). Would def go back. The (I assume) owner was lovely and welcoming.

Excellent coffee in a somewhat unusual location; the Sunset Way mall is a slightly aging building with a perfectly fine hawker center and casual stores. This coffee place serves fairly high end coffee but there's clearly a demand for it as the place was bustling during this visit. Space was limited but the staff were friendly and efficient. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Visited Olla Coffee on 15 July 2023 and bought a cup of White (Magic) Hot at $6 and love it! Recommend both non-coffee and coffee lovers to try if you’re around the area!

Been here 3 times already... After all, barista champion made coffee!... Coffee is good, undeniable... with options like magic and turmeric or chai for good beverage range. Cosy place with nice Al fresco of big open space.. place is pretty quiet, nice to chill. Food is generally decent. Would have wished for a more extensive food menu and that their hours can stretch longer like 6pm at least. Sunrise burger is highly popular here for good reason. I would generally recommend that too.. the rest of food is decent. Love coming here for the environment atmosphere and great coffee.

Very good coffee, I love how the staff explained that the larger cup is simply more milk. If I like my coffee more intense, the 5oz is sufficient. Honest way of doing business. We didn't the food so no comments there. $5 for 5oz milk coffee. Place nicely done up, limited seating.

It’s quite pricey. We had the ultimate breakfast ($21) which includes the basics. Affogato was nice and able to choose from Belgian Chocolate or Vanilla ice cream. Opted for chocolate this time as it’s not usual. It’s bitter and hint of sweetness from chocolate ice cream. Service was ok..

13.80 before GST for this extremely underwhelming cheese toast which came late n burnt. Served late as other customers after us got theirs first. Likely forgotten in the oven. Regardless, ~$15 for this is quite a rip off. No picture so expected something more substantial or visually appealing. Taste was so so.

Coffee was great but I hope they can add more food to their menu. The ice cream on top of the waffle was quite tasteless.

Coffee was pretty good, highly recommend the mushroom mac and cheese. Service staff was friendly as well. Reasonable prices at the neighbourhood!
