Edited my review from 5 to 1 due to one bad experience. As much as I love their coffee in-store, I had a very disappointing experience with their online retail shop (should have read the previous reviews here as I’m not the only one apparently). I placed an order for beans on Nov 7th and I have never received any updates or replies despite my chasing emails every week (today is Dec 16th). We even went to their store to enquire about our order and they said that they had ran out of beans but that today they have just restocked in their roastery so they promised they would deliver by end of the day…. 2 weeks have passed since that day and still NOTHING and no updates from them either. I wish I could go down to their physical store every day to keep chasing them but unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of time to do that (that’s why online shopping exist, right?) This is such a shame as I truly think they have one of the most interesting beans but this whole experience is not making me want to patronise the shop again. To owners: please update on this order or proceed to refund it if you can’t fulfil it. And please bring down your online store if you can’t keep up with the orders. My original review: Hidden gem in CBD that I wish I knew sooner. Not many seating or standing area but the coffee here is one of the best you can find in the area.

The enticing coffee aromatics led us to this unassuming coffee stand at the lobby of an office tower. Coffee was smooth, non acidic and fragrant. Great coffee and service from the folks at Upside Down Coffee! Will be back!

Not bad but nothing to shout about. Had a burpple 1 for 1 so that was fab. Probably would head to parallel coffee nearby instead!

Excellent coffee. Choice of beans available for espresso-based drinks, rotated occasionally. Uses Greenfields milk. Default for the regular white is a single shot and the default for the large white is a double shot. This double shot white (Thailand Chiang Mai) had fruity, winey, milk tea notes. Excellent. From earlier visits: Double espresso: Colombia Quindio El Ocaso - intense raspberry, winey notes. Excellent. Double shot whites: Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelba - gin, winey notes. Colombia Quindio El Ocaso - sweet, winey, complex notes. Colombia Quindio El Ocaso - outstanding with its winey notes. Colombia Quindio El Ocaso - outstanding with its sweet, strong floral, fruity, winey, milk tea notes. Indonesia Bali Sweet Lakshana - chocolate, winey notes. Honduras Caballero Colinas - chocolate, rum notes. Indonesia West Java Frinsa - chocolaty, winey notes. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelba - berry, tea notes. Yemen Al Qafr Shaia’an - winey, chocolate notes. Kenya Nyeri Ichuga - currants, winey, milk tea notes. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelba - gin, chocolate notes. Yemen Al Qafr Shaia’an - papaya milk tea notes. Colombia Spice-Up Manantiales del Frontino - peach milk notes but could have been more robust. Colombia Coral Mallorca - woody fruity notes but could have been more robust. Colombia Coral Mallorca - blueberry milk notes. Laos Fai Mai Bolavens Plateau - fruity milky notes but not very pleasant. Colombia Coral - floral, fruity notes. Kenya Kiriani - fruity, milk tea notes. Ethiopia Guji Hambela - plum, chocolate notes. Kenya Kiriani - intense, fruit chocolate notes. Ethiopia Sidama Kilenso - chocolate, slightly fruity notes. But it tasted nothing like earlier visits and the aftertaste wasn’t great. Ethiopia Kochere Ambo Konijo - lime cola notes. Colombia La Cabana - pineapple chocolate, winey notes. Ethiopia Sidama Kilenso - gin/whiskey notes. Pretty outstanding. Colombia La Cabana - pineapple chocolate notes. Ethiopia Kochere Ambo Konijo - refreshing, sweet cocktail of citrus, berry and cola notes. Ethiopia Sidama Kilenso - strawberry and watermelon notes. Ordered two packs of coffee beans from their online website 3 weeks ago. It was meant for a Christmas gift, however I never received the order - even as of today. (The Christmas event has since long passed). Tried contacting them via email, via their Instagram, and via their website chat tool - did not receive a reply anywhere, and as of now my order is still in limbo. Extremely disappointed with the service quality and will think twice before ordering from their website in future.

“Hidden hole in the wall that is worth the hole in the wall status” Nothing pleases me more than finding a good coffee joint to satisfy my unhealthy addiction to caffeine. And Upside Down Coffee Roaster had me hooked from my very first cup. This place is literally a hole in the wall with two tables outside and that is about it, and they have been consistently great. Drop by if you are in the area to have a cup of really good coffee, but what do I know, I just drink too much coffee.

Hidden in the background of the busy Amoy street area, this gem of a coffee place will sure delight coffee lovers who work around the area. Flavorful coffee from their own roasters, they rotate the blends in their drinks quite often. Craved out from an unexpected part of the building, there's not many seats available but it was nice to stand around and chat with the barista and owners. Check it out!

Delicious coffee, full of aroma! I’ve come here periodically throughout the years and was happy to hear them celebrate their 5 year anniversary yesterday! The barista was so friendly and gave out free coffees to everyone 🥳☺️ Congratulations, team!

I love their Stasis blend. The coffee has been very consistent over the years! I ordered a bag of beans online and they processed my order promptly. Do note there is free delivery on the weekends!

Came here with a colleague who strongly recommended the place. It's a rather small space, with just 1 standing table indoors and some seats outdoors. Got a latte which I think was pretty decent. Will pop by if I'm in the area just for a cuppa.

I placed an order for coffee beans two weeks ago, but despite sending multiple emails, I haven't received any replies from the company. It's disappointing to experience a lack of communication and delay in my order. I'm eagerly awaiting your response to my emails and hoping for a resolution to this issue soon.

Nice quiet, hidden but not. Good for a quiet morning coffee. Watch the sun come up. Cold drip coffee is not bad..could be stronger but overall great experience! Pleasant surprise for this neighbourhood!

Happened upon this office lobby coffee place. Remarkably good cup. Normally I am underwhelmed by most of these small batch roasters that are popping up - roasting is a very very difficult thing to get right (I am in the coffee business). These guys seem to understand it starts with better quality beans, and have succeeded in not over or under roasting. The ‘Stasis’ blend tested. Needs a double shot to add power to the smoothness of their blend. I wlll be testing the rest.

Flat White by Upside Down Coffee - Probably the smallest coffee shop within the CBD area that has been around since 2017. They used to only have some simple plastic seats outside but have now upgraded to nicely decked out wooden tables and rattan seats. There are 2 blended roasts and 4 single origin roasts here offering quite a large variety for such a small coffee stand. We admire their commitment to serving up amazing coffee.

I have been waiting for my online order of coffee beans for weeks now. No response, no reimbursements whatsoever. Do be careful when placing online orders or perhaps don't do it at all. The last resort I have is to head down in person to check what's going on. Will have to do that soon. What an utterly unpleasant experience.

Small coffee store - tried for an iced white coffee ($6) and really enjoyed it, the coffee wasn’t too bitter but had a nice aroma. There are only few spots to sit - today there were two tables outside.

Amazing coffee! Small cafe with limited seats. Located at the first level of the shophouse and functions like an entry way to the rest of the levels. Coffee was aromatic and well-bodied.

5 stars for the white coffee, minus 1 star for the filter coffee. Tried both and I personally find the filter coffee too bitter, I would prefer my filter coffee with lighter notes. The small white coffee was done perfectly , well balanced and strong enough for my liking.

This place is a gem. Really love their coffee. Very balanced, smooth and fragrant (hint taste of wine). Awesome place to enjoy a cup of coffee. Super friendly barista!
