We came all the way from Melbourne, and this is our first stop for coffee. It was an amazing experience. Love the hospitality from all staff, Agnes brewed my filter and it was so delicious. Simple space yet so serene. Very recommended if you’re ever in Singapore.

Day off visit for a cuppa. Very simple place with friendly service. Brew was good as well. The only bite they had was cinnamon bun but was pretty good. Could do with more pastries but no complaints. Most customers were there for the brews anyways. Felt like a lively place without the noise.

Very warm and friendly baristas and the environment was perfect on a Thursday morning. Music wasn’t overbearing like some cafes which tend to be too hurtful for my ears. Coffee was smashing! I do wish they would consider offering a decaffeinated coffee option. Please note they can only do takeaway coffee if you have your own cup/tumbler.

Honestly deserves more than five stars! We went there everyday for the week we visited Singapore. Coffee was always brilliant and the staff friendly and polite. Can’t wait to visit again.

I love my coffee.. but I know nuts about them. I can't tell the type of beans, I won't know the geography of their origin, the science in the preparation, nor able to describe how they taste. To me, its like a lever switch - "Good" or "No good". I this case, it's the former :)

Design-focused review: This is as simple and minimalist as it gets. The coffee shop is dedicated to good coffee with a paired down menu focused on single-origin coffees and not much else. Delicious brews combined with a convivial atmosphere in an open space. Design notes: Bright white minimally-decorated walls, kraft paper menus with elegant black typography, natural ceramic coffee cups, selection of tropical plants, heavy use of light/maple Scandinavian-inspired furniture to give the space an Apple-store like feel. Highly recommend on your next visit to Singapore!

A really cool coffee place. It gets packed and often a long queue, as well as limited time you can stay. They have very simple menu and good coffee. The atmosphere is really good and calming that you can really chat and catch up. Love the furniture and the big communal table. They also sell coffee beans but often sold out. They also have tea menu.

My brother loves Apartment so much that he’s slowly re-decorating our house to look like this place. The coffee is fantastic drunk there and at home, my bro regularly buys back the beans and they taste great. The baristas here make the coffee really well and are kind and welcoming. The look and feel of the space adds to the experience, makes you feel calm and you do feel comfortable even though it’s so well designed. I like the plants. And the cups! Came here for the 3rd time and will definitely be back.

A friend highly recommended this place and I decided to try it out today with a few friends. Boy, was I really happy we did! When we arrived ,this place was already crowded .We took a seat outside and waited. This guy came out to acknowledge us and also passed us the menu. Don’t be disappointed with their small menu offers cos if this coffee joint can survive so damn well without selling any cakes or bites and just solely on selling what they do best- coffee! You know this is the place! Coffee was SPECTACULAR! Besides this, the two guys inside the shop are very polite and friendly, which really added to the whole joy of this coffee joint! Great service staff and awesome coffee cannot go wrong. I spilled my water and one of them came right up to have it cleaned and even asked if I was ok. Now, that’s a score right there! Keep up your stellar work guys! So happy I found you and will be happiest when i I share the joy so others know you too!

Very interesting café. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us. From the counter you can enjoy your coffee and watch them doing their hand brew. The coffee was very nice with a decent range of different roasts for filter coffee. One of my favourites in Singapore and worth a visit.

A champ in specialty coffee in Singapore! Delicious well-brewed coffee; the baristas and servers seem to be very passionate and know what they’re doing. The service was beyond excellent. We were welcomed and served pretty quickly. This is the epitome of a coffee shop that not only serves great coffee, but offers excellent service and makes customers feel welcomed and warm. The atmosphere of the coffee shop imbued in vibes of earthy and zen, somehow a perfect merge of scandinavian and minimalist Japanese. There’s an open coffee bar where we get to see our coffee being made. The coffee were served in lovely rustic ceramic cups which I love; great coffee experience, great branding and great great service —would highly recommend stopping by!

Visited the cafe / coffee house for a catch-up with friends. The ambience is pretty unique and minimalistic. There are also art pieces on display. The service staff is friendly and the coffee tastes great too! The place is spacious and there are many seats available. The interior of the cafe is unique as well. Overall, this is a good place to relax, get some work done, and also just catchup with friends.

Been wanting to come here for a while now, and had high expectations after reading the reviews. The place lived up to all of our expectations. Great decor, friendly service, and stellar coffee. It can take a while for your pour over coffee to be served to you, as it appears they only have 3 stations setup for making coffee in this way. In any case it's well worth the wait. Prices were not bad. AMEX not accepted. Count yourself lucky if there isn't a queue.

Nice and friendly service. The design of the cafe is minimal and almost feels like a daytime cocktail bar. I am not super particular about coffee. My friend's comment is probably more accurate, as he felt that the opening of the cups used is quite wide. Hence, the coffee cools down quite fast. Prices range from SGD 5+ to 7+ per cup.

I like the spatial arrangement and the quiet ambience of this cafe. Great quality coffee. In fact, one of the best third wave coffee I've had in Singapore. I had iced handbrew - Nicaragua La Virgen. Loved the aftertaste of a tinge of milk chocolate. Special shoutout to the friendly service staff who are attentive to their patrons' needs. Note: There is a one hour seating time limit.

Revisited this cafe again and was blown away by the uniqueness of the cold chocolate drink. I thought it would be just chocolate drink served with ice cubes but the entire drink was served chilled with no ice cubes. This resulted in a very rich drink although the staff took awhile to prepare it. Staff were friendly and it was also good that the cafe limited patrons to 1 hour so that there would not be seat hoggers. Overall I would patronize this cafe again.

Definitely one of my favourite coffeeshop in Singapore. Smooth milk froth & interesting beans. Japanese style no frill interior design which is very comfy. Tea was nice too. Friendly and attentive service. Will come back here everytime I’m going to Singapore. Their black lab is definitely a plus point.

Have been wanting to try Apartment out - the hand brewed coffee are the winners for me! Have always been captivated by the coffee aroma when I walked past, and now that I’m in the cafe, I feel so relieved! It may get crowded on weekends but the wait should be reasonable. If you need a coffee break in between, look no further! Try: El Salvador & Ethiopia blends. El Salvador has a stronger aftertaste and it’s well paired iced. As for the Ethiopia one, imagine every sip to be smooth on your palette (I had it without iced), and there isn’t any acidic aftertaste at all. The place itself is a vibe on its own. Sitting at the counter top and sipping on good grade coffee just makes everything move in a much slower pace. Enjoy while you’re there!

Best coffeeshop experience in SG so far. The people are so welcoming and the coffee is excellent. It's a nice place to chill, talk, or people watch. We came on a Saturday morning, there was plenty of seating and not crowded at all. There are no signs on the storefront, so it's easy to walk past it. They also don't have any food options.

Very well made manual brew coffee - we personally liked Panama Gesha a lot - very light and smooth with a tinge of citrus. You get to see the staff preparing your orders too. Your coffee will come with a little paper detailing what you ordered as well as other details such as place of origin and how it was prepared. The place was very clean and we really loved the ambiance. Nice place to relax and have a chat with friends. The staff were amazing and made our experience here so enjoyable! They were very welcoming and offered to refill our water very often. Amazing service and definitely well done to the crew!

Love the ambiance and coffee here. Decor is minimalistic and leans to a Scandinavian design. I went a few times but the first time I went was the best, so I am guessing there was a difference in skill between the baristas.

Good coffee from this local roaster. Consistently good service. Default for the white is a double shot. Rotates single origins for espresso-based drinks. Uses Meiji milk. This latest cup of double shot white (Colombia Jesus Salcedo) had a nutty, milky flavour though could be more robust. From earlier visits, the double shot white (El Salvador Finca Santa Rosa) had a milk chocolate flavour and raisin aftertaste but was too foamy at the end; the double shot white (Colombia Victor Gutierrez) had a fruity, chocolaty flavour; the double shot white (Guatemala Finca San Agustin) had a chocolaty, dried fruit flavour and great aftertaste.

Chances upon this top rated cafe while searching for an after-meal stop in the area. ✅ Minimalism inspired design cafe ✅ Good selection of coffee beans ✅ Service level from the staff Regulars are seen strolling in during our short visit there, and although there is a maximum time you could occupy each table, there are people seen working there due to the environment itself! Will definitely return to try their other selection, and bring along those who like their coffee black! ☕️

Highly enjoyable ambience with very comforting and uncluttered setup, personable service and curated coffee beans. Overall experience is superb with only few coffee and one pastry to choose. This promotes undisturbed experience with my coffee and a pastry that helps to balance acidity and sweetness. Simple and focused experience of taste bud and mind. This is really something no other cafe have... 👏👏👏👏👏

Lovely corner-coffee space with a gorgeous aesthetic! Varietals are plenty. Coffee is 5/5. Good initiative with no take away cups used - eco friendly. Must visit if you’re in this hood or just looking for a good cuppa. To note - seating is limited, despite COVID safe distancing so be prepared to wait for a seat!

Finally visited Apartment Coffee which I have heard about from some people and seen it on my rides home. The interiors of the cafe is tall and filled with natural light and most of the seating faces the counter where the action takes place with the baristas at work. The best seating is probably in front of the huge picture, a table with two benches which provides some privacy compared to most of the seating. The coffee I had, a Colombo Familia Gomez, coffee with milk is excellent. The foamed milk is thick and consistent. The coffee's very balanced : fragrant, flavourful and doesn't sour even after being left to cool : which is great for slow drinking. It is easily one of the better coffees I had. On paper there is an hour-limit for seating at the cafe. I probably overshot that while sketching and drawing at the seating along the window facing the counter. If you are looking for privacy and somewhere intimate and cosy, I find the interiors of Apartment Coffee a little too exposed and serious like a tea room or an art gallery unless you get the table near the payment counter. The ceiling is high and the seating is all facing inward towards the baristas or other diners, you can also hear the conversations going on at the counter as a result which can feel a little invasive or annoying : not particularly comfortable for solo diners who prefers some privacy. Apartment Coffee is a place to appreciate and see how coffee is prepared rather than a place to hang out. Nonetheless, really good coffee.

We were here on a weekend. The service is friendly. The timber chairs provide some warmth to the space, the interior gives vastly a stark feel. Still, it's a decent place for a simple good coffee to be finished in an hour.

Beautiful space, great quality materials and chairs. If you like arabica coffee (sourish taste with different notes, freshly grounded in store, they do a good drip coffee, water temp kept at 95 degree Celsius, few times of pouring, brewer will taste the coffee in a small cup to ensure quality) If you like robusta coffee (difficult to find there) They have a coffee with milk , which was the peru beans (in the menu) which was strong enough to be noticed above the milk but not fragrant enough for me. Their hot chocolate is great. I feel it was a little sourish also, but very very fragrant. Not thick, but the fragrance I’ve not tasted in any other place, so great. Got the Honduras hot chocolate. So, in conclusion, go for the hot chocolate if you like hot chocolate, it’s 70% cacao. No worries about the sweetness, it’s not. And the coffee with milk is decent. Although I prefer more fragrant.

Great coffee. Great ambience & way to really immerse, enjoy your coffee time. Some of their coffee comes with a small "intro" card to remind you what you're experiencing. They don't do take aways, strictly drink on the spot which is a good way to ensure quality is controlled. No food served, just simple, yet awesome coffee (and some tea which I have yet to try). If you are around the area, why not slow down for a while and trully enjoy your coffee time.

In capital cities like Singapore, what makes you choose a specific coffee shop over another when you have hundreds of excellent choices? At that point, I believe it comes down to the barista. Apartment coffee was recommended to me by another barista in the Jalan Besar area. I have been used to the individuality of having your own table, so having seen it from afar beforehand but somewhat intimidated by the large table that allows for exchanges with the barista and the customers, it is only after the barista's recommendation that I decided to give it a go. Right as you are seated, you are treated as an individual and not just a customer. There seems to be quite a few people that are regulars, and I understand why. The barista and I exchanged a few times throughout the drink and gave me another coffee place to try. Coming from Europe and having access to a specific roasting style and palette, I gave the barista carte blanche for a filter coffee. I had a perfectly balanced, somewhat fruity Brazilian coffee. The price was 6.50 SGD. Apartment Coffee is a real coup de coeur, and a must visit for anyone in Singapore.

Spacious layout, good coffee - but, would I probably wouldn’t come back specially to have their coffee. Price is average. Considering this is a specialty coffee cafe, there isn’t too many variety of beans to choose from - I saw 4 on today’s menu. Also, I’m not a fan of sour and acidic coffee beans, and that left me with pretty much only 1 type of bean to choose from.

I tried both and the one called “Peru Piura Blanco” was way sweeter and because of that its my favorite. The other one is called “Haiti Acul du Nord”! We went on 4 Nov, Sat, 4pm thereabouts Service The lady that served us was very friendly and on the ball / attentive (she constantly observes the customers' cups and refills them when it's running low & when we were heading to the counter to pay, she has already prepared the payment machine & our bill even before we reach the counter) Coffee The shop only sells coffee / tea & is very fuss-free because they only had two pages of menu. We got to choose from 4-5 different types of coffee beans & between black/white. We ordered a cup of iced black hand brewed coffee & a cuppa white. (The white had only one choice of coffee bean or so I thought. I think you can ask them to prep black + milk cause the guy opposite me had a different drink from mine 😂) The iced coffee had different layers to it without being too overpowering 😍 and the white is also very smooth! We loved the coffee! Atmosphere Quite spacious and comfy (everyone has their own space & isn't too close to one another)

This might be the best coffee shop in SG I’ve ever visited. Started with the sleek spacious and clean place. Various beans and they made marvelous manual brew coffee. Service was superb, barista was very helpful helping deciding what to order, she even took a seat next to us and spare time to explain about the product. This is the kind of service you dont get anywhere in SG. I will definitely be back and recommend this place!

Always hoppy 💃 to try specialty coffee. And this is Singapores champ so we wont let the chance slip~ we came in 10 mins earlier before they open and they assist us immediately, letting us sit indoors while waiting for them to finish their prep for the day. My friend loved their lattes. I got my single origin (Myanmar Gar Naing Yar)pour over and even bought beans to take home to 🇵🇭

It's my first time here after delaying for months, and I can say that their coffee is totally not disappointing! Though I can't remember the name of the Coffee (with milk), I like that the bitter taste of the coffee isn't long lasting unlike the others that I took. It has a very unique fragrant with nutty taste. Understandable that they serve in small cups to allow customers to slowly appreciate the taste of every coffee they made. Will come again next time!

First, about the coffee: I have only tried the filter ones and they are very well done! From the taste to the aroma the coffee is really good, hit all the right notes. The barista was also very willing to share when I talked to him about the V60 method I did at home and he even tried to help with troubleshooting my setup. Interior: bright, beautiful and minimalistic. I drooled at their coffee setup, and equipment! I’m not exactly a coffee connoisseur, but I think they did a good job at making filter coffee!

Also special mention to the staffs as they are always on the ball to provide excellent and attentive service 👍🏻

Our number one coffee place in singapore! You HAVE to try out the coffee here - whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or casual drinker~ I especially like the milk coffee 😍 If you’re into complex flavours, you have to try the filter coffee. We also had the cinnamon roll to go with the coffee. It was the perfect afternoon tea. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait long as there was no queue due to the rain. For coffee connoisseurs & lovers of good chocolate drinks. Tried their Philippines Rehoboth estate, Malaysia semai & Ethiopia Gedeb Boyefi & my mouth exploded with flavour - for the hot chocolate options. The sour-ish, nutty & sweet flavours mixed into the hot chocolate cup made the Philippines Rehoboth estate my favourite. The Malaysia semai was great too, with a sweeter chocolate taste. I'm no coffee fan so the Ethiopia coffee option didn't move me. Service was swift & the guy attending to us was charming & really knows his stuff. Ambiance was a chill one with light music and minimalistic white & wooden tones. Would go back when they introduce light bites like cookies or something to go with their drinks👍🏼

Guatemala Finca San Agustin with Ice is just nice with a little strong coffee taste. Ethiopia Anasora Anaerobic Washed hot black coffee without sweetner is the best with a little sour taste of orange and barries. Overall, it is one of the best cafe with minimalist shop interior design in a row of old shophouses.

Clean and simple environment. Just for coffee and tea lover. Ice coffee with milk is good, don't taste like coffee but has very unique taste like non sweeten dessert drink. Columia coffee is not my favourite, tasted spur and acidic. Will try others types of hot filter coffee next time

Great ambience! Neat, tidy, simple. Coffee aroma can be detected before u turn the corner :> had a black coffee and hot chocolate which were both nice. The hot chocolate is tasty, not too sweet also, portion is about a big chinese teacup size. Hence too thick for my liking, feels like drinking melted quality chocolate. Perhaps chocolate lovers will enjoy.

*Bring your own cup for takeaway, they don't provide disposables. Don't expect syrups or such. This place provides quality coffee brews by people who really know coffee 😊

The cafe interior is just pure white color, adapting the minimalist design. The special mix of coffee is very special and strong. However, the taste isn’t for everyone.

One of the best cafes in Lavender. My go-to whenever I visit the light shop down the street. Good coffee, kombucha, nice ambience and lovely barista. Grab a bar seat and watch them work their magic. ✨

  • 5/5 Kevin K. 2 years ago on Google
Very interesting place- minimalistic and the coffee tastes very special. Hard to describe the taste but I think they use unique blends which is definitely not like any other coffee shop in Sg

  • 4/5 Bryan L. 2 years ago on Google
A place only for coffee, no others. 簡單的一杯咖啡提醒你勿忘初心。 Love their concept. Strongly recommend, their coffee can rate is one of the best in SG. For non-coffee lover, you can try their ice chocolate drink and I can say is another highlight in the shop.

  • 5/5 Xing Q. 2 years ago on Google
Not the usual instagramable Cafe sort of place but if you want a good cup of coffee, it's the place to go. If you get the bar seat, you can see the barista hand dripping the coffee in front of you. Sort of like a teppanyaki for coffee, good experience!

⁣ The cafe's decor is all white, in keeping with the minimalist design.⁣ ⁣ The cafe does not have a restroom, however you can get the keys from them to use the restroom near the building tower. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 - Has a bitter cocoa flavor. It had a very distinct flavor. I wish they could have provided us a larger cup instead Fun fact: A go to place for brew coffee place

  • 4/5 Lionel L. 1 year ago on Google
staff are very polite and hospitality is good. coffee is good. smooth texture and a little nutty. but the cup seems a little small at maybe 200ml for $5. the cafe isn’t as “white” as advertised in their google images (not that it’s a huge issue). good place for sitting down for coffee but definitely not for work. seats and tables were specifically designed to not be conducive for table-top activities, but just a simple sit and drink style. a huge downside of this place is the 1-hr seating time.

  • 4/5 Robert Z. 1 year ago on Google
Would return./ Have Returned A really interesting setup, dine in only, limited to 1hr, no food only drinks. $5-$8 per. Great ambiance and decor. Latte is very small for $5 but it was up to par with the best, in milk texture and taste. Feels like a 5oz. Doesn't take AMEX. Beans sell for $25/bag. Prompt service, may be a wait. 2nd: The only cafe I returned to during the 6 day trip. Consistency is what separates good from great and this place is among the best around the world. I really like the heavy weighted cups, warm to hold, perfect texture of milk. Their hot chocolate is worth trying, though ask for a mixing spoon due to chunks of chocolate at the bottom. Expensive but worth the experience.

Came here on a weekday afternoon and it wasn’t very crowded. Had a oat white with Costa Rica Aquiares beans. Great balance between coffee and milk, served in a ceramic cup that kept it warm for long time. Was able to taste fruity notes with sweet malt and chocolate finish. The wooden chairs are not very comfortable though.

  • 5/5 Narelle L. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely space. Calming. Invites a slowing down in every way. Coffee lovers have lots of options, and for us tea drinkers a couple of subtle offerings. Ceramics are too die for; simply amazing to drink from.

visited mid afternoon on monday, fairly crowded~ but still quaint and could find a quiet spot. only 2 staff on shift so they seemed abit overwhelmed and there was abit of a wait. but i enjoyed the coffee!! and vibes!! and decor!! just a walk from dhoby ghaut (ok like 15mins but it's ok...) would come back again!!

I absolutely love the coffee at Apartment! It's rich, aromatic, and always hits the spot. The Rwanda Gasharu is a delightful experience, with a perfect balance of flavors, while the Costa Rice with oat milk was simply lovely. The baristas are skilled and friendly. The cozy atmosphere and comfortable seating make it a great spot to relax and enjoy your cup of coffee. Highly recommend this cafe!

You can tell Apartment is serious about their coffee from the good selection of beans they offer on their menu. Prices were also pretty reasonable ($7.50 for a filter). The iced long black I had was not bad, but next time I would order it hot, as I think it got a bit diluted by ice. They don’t use disposables, which was a little unfortunate because I wanted to takeaway my coffee so that I wouldn’t have to finish it and endure a sleepless night, but I also respect them for that. It’s a bit out of the way but I’d consider coming back again, to try some of their other beans.

The atmosphere was very good, simple minimalist yet aesthetic. We came on thursday afternoon and it wasn't packed at all. Tried the Peru one in americano ice, I really like the coffee taste!! My most fav coffee during the trip!

Had the Hojicha on ice, it was delightful. The atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly and answered all my questions. The coffee menu changes every month, the tea menu changes every two months. They make their own kombucha and gave me a taster - it was spectacular. Will be going back.

I came here yesterday and I would definitely put it on my must-visit list on Singapore. It’s really a perfect coffee-drinking experience that combines: - Coffee is very good - Staff is super friendly and kind - Place is clean and comfortable Overall, I can say it is highly recommended, especially if you are into filter coffee.
