Update: tried their breakfast sets and its a waste of calories unfortunately. Yakun has better kaya toasts, and the prata looked like one of those Fairprice frozen packs. We were also surprised that the set only included one prata, instead of what was advertised in the pictures. Order the $11.90 curry chicken with bread, and it was sooooo good. Bread was served warm, soft and slightly sweet, which paired very well with the thick and savoury curry chicken. They gave us another bowl of curry for dipping too. Portion was just right for 2 people, or 3 if you order other dishes. The drinks however, was a little lacklustre. The kopi c and yuan yang was not very strong and kind of sweet even though we ordered less sugar.

I happened to bumped into this coffeehouse by OCK (Old Chang Kee) at Tampines Hub. Went in to have a laksa, Blue Pea Nasi Lemak, Coffee with milk. My laksa came in not exactly hot, just warm. Can't smell the aroma of coconut milk which is the soul of this dish. Tasted the laksa soup and boy.... am I disappointed. I don't feel the body there inside the soup. I think the chef at the central kitchen should go around tasting different famous laksa, up his tuition on how to get his laksa soup right. The noodles and ingredients are ok but for the price paid ($6+) consumers are expecting a more decent bowl of laksa lah bro! The Nasi Lemak is ok (for the side dishes like, egg, chicken wing, peanuts and otak. Chillie is ok. The main issue with it is the rice isn't fragranced enough with coconut milk. Is it OCK afraid we will all run into heart attack and get out blood vessels stuck with lemak juice? Boss, don't worry, more coconut milk won't kill us. In all honesty and fairness, I couldn't comment on the rest of the foods cos haven't got the time to try it. Will review again after trying. Nontheless, coffee with milk is good but doesn't hurt to increase the cup size Mr Boss of OCK. LOLL... BTW, we (myself and my partner) hate to waste food, so it's almost eaten up. Usually for me, my laksa soup will be dried up like Sahara desert. Overall, food (those tried by us) in the coffeehouse is good for those non fussy eaters. For fussy buggars like us, still have room for them to improve on. Will need to give them time. Will be back to try again sometime later. Chiow and Bon Appetite.

Food is tasty. Staff are very friendly. Prices are above market prices for similar items but it's understandable given the air conditioned setting. It didn't get the full 5 stars from me because of the cleanliness of utensils.

First time trying out the food. Ordered blue Pea Nasi lemak with dry curry, curry with bun and prata with egg and onion. Serving portion is small with only 1 small potato with a spoon of peanuts and ikan bilis. Curry gravy a lot but chicken only 2 or 3 small pieces. Price is not worth for it. Food 6/10 Ambience 6/10 Service -/10 ( order via phone and it’s self service )

Affordable HALAL option that we definitely love.. Old Chang Kee really upgraded themselves and made us fall in love again. Yes, this Coffee House is by Old Chang Kee (OCK) and it is located just at the entrance of Our Tampines Hub. To be precised, it is at East Entrance beside Crave. There are basically 2 ordering points at this location. One is the external facade where u buy the takeaway food that are like those standard OCK stands. The other ordering point js actually inside the store itself. We avoid sitting in due to the current situation, thus ordered takeaways. Ordered the Chicken Rice Balls and the Blue Pea Nasi Lemak thingy. Lets talk bout food first ya, the menu is rather long and there are variety of food to choose from which we got spoilt for choice😅😅. Taste for the food we ordered would be placed at 8 out of 10. This is actually not a bad score. But, each to its own la eh😊😊. The price for the food is still acceptable and looking at the quantity we had, it is worth. Not very very generous but d portion is slightly more than other places. Ok, in terms of location, we would say that this is definitely the best place out of many locations we been to. Those working around d area can just grab food through the external point and leave within 5mins.. it is that convenient. Well, do check it out and judge for yourself. For us, we really are glad that OCK is located in OTH 😊😊 Cheers!!

Honestly the food here isn’t good. It is well presented, yes. But falls short on almost everything else, no wonder there’s no Q to have lunch here. Iced Kopi is good, and the eggs are great. Now the bad, Kaya toast was among the worst I have ever taken. Bread was tasteless and hard, Kaya was bland and the butter tasted more like margarine. I can’t find anywhere that can make it any worse. Butterfly pea rice is mushy, dry curry chicken is bland, you can taste abit of the spices but there is no heat at all. Sambal is also forgettable and not spicy. Honestly it looks good but never again.

Laksa served is lukewarm, therefore not as shiok when eaten hot. But ingredients are generous. Curry Chicken Nasi lemak taste good. Container for drinks are huge. Good and friendly service. Will return to try again when we passed by here.
