Interesting varied exhibitions which are certainly worth a visit. I really enjoyed the Vietnamese painter's exibit, portrayed through a war time lens on the 2nd floor. Also the combined Chinese dynasty and Singapore artefact laboratory on the Ground floor.

Pretty good and varied exhibits. Not crowded. Only annoyance is the silly check in and registration process on top of the regular TraceTogether. C’mon NUS, at least make it less onerous. Thankfully the staff are very helpful.

Quiet museum with 3 levels, take about one and half and hour to finish. You can enjoy peace of mind to see the display. And specially thanks to the staff: John, very friendly and willing to share his knowledge, really a fruitful journey. Meaningful exhibitions that really gives a good glimpse into histories.

Super cool motorcycle museum ever. Don't miss. You need more than one hour to see all of a thousand bike and stuff. 😁

It is located in NUS. Of course because of its name. It has 3 level and each level has different theme. It is a small museum but I recommend it especially when it has an event. It is free to visit too.

A lovely academic museum - i.e., with a focus on the art history of the region and exhibit curation. We saw three very interesting exhibits, but I would say only one of which was geared towards the "general public"; the other two were more appropriate for artists / art historians, although there certainly interesting material even for the casual browser

Located opposite of the NUS University Cultural Center (NUS UCC), the NUS Museum is a nice place to visit if you are in the campus. This museum distinguishes itself from the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) by focusing on the art and history in Asia rather than its biodiversity. Museum is small and can be fully explored within two hours. Staff are courteous as and will help you navigate the museum if you ask. Being a university museum, the exhibitions within the NUS Museum do not have clear narratives. Unlike other museums, you are expected to form your own narratives as the objective of the NUS Museum is to invoke critical thinking and inquiry in students.

Very nice museum. The best thing about this place is the low number of crowd / visitor. My kids feel very free walking around and staying for a long time at any exhibit

Ironically, a poorly designed museum to display information on award winning design products. There are way too many posters! Whoever manages this place needs to rethink design and interaction of its audience.

Some of the write ups are excellent. Exhibits are not bad as well. However, information brochure given to me was outdated and place was way too quiet. (I was the only visitor in the entire museum.)

It's free for NUS students. It's not a very big place, only 2 levels.. But it has amazing specimens.

  • 1/5 Josh K. 1 year ago on Google
The NUS museum had this video projection part on the 1st floor which showed inappropriate scenes which are completely inappropriate for all ages. People should not be coming to this museum. Children should not be brought to this museum.

Quite an array of Asian/contemporary art pieces on display. I enjoyed my time here and was pretty impressed with the museum despite it being a part of a university. Easy to access by public transport.
