👍 Many Thai stores here from groceries, snacks, restaurants, etc. Parking seems to be cheaper here compared to few buildings beside it. The sign for toilet was missleading and made me turned one whole floor to find the toilet. People often mention mall, shops, shopping, Thai, shop, good, Nice, nice, Good, condo,

This used to be a quiet small shopping mall with connection to Nichol Highway MRT station across the street and Bugis MRT a couple blocks away. The recent closing of the Golden Mile Thai complex brings a few of the shops and restaurants to reopen in City Gate. There seems more life to the place. Especially the Golden Banana shop which has a long line on a recent Saturday afternoon.

City Gate is a unique establishment that combines a condominium and shopping mall, offering a range of amenities and services. The shopping mall spans three levels: B1, Level 1, and Level 2. These levels house a variety of establishments, including eateries, skincare and face care shops, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinics, beauty salons, hair salons, printing services, mobile phone accessory stores, and more. Notably, the air conditioning system at B1 and Level 2 provides a cool and comfortable environment for visitors, while Level 1 maintains a standard temperature. This ensures that shoppers can enjoy a pleasant shopping experience regardless of which level they explore. One aspect that some may find disappointing is the absence of major supermarkets such as NTUC, Cold Storage, or Giant within City Gate. However, there are still numerous dining options and smaller retailers available to cater to the needs of residents and visitors. In recent times, it has been observed that several stores from Golden Mile Complex have relocated to City Gate. This influx of businesses brings new offerings and adds to the diversity of services available at the mall. Overall, City Gate offers a unique blend of residential and commercial spaces, providing residents and visitors with a convenient and varied shopping experience. From food and beverages to skincare, TCM, clinics, salons, and more, there is something for everyone at this bustling establishment.

Fire testing at 9am for more than 30 mins is extremely ridiculous. Customers cannot get to the carpark or they are either stuck at the basement or upstairs because the air curtains were all down. No proper announcement to say when the testing will end. They were testing the air curtains, elevators, generator. Shoppers cannot get into the toilet as it is at level 2. Security guards also mentioned that the fire testing will take more than an hour. This is my first and last time visiting the mall

A relatively small shopping mall at the junction of Beach Road and Jalan Sultan. Across from the iconic The Concourse building and close to the shops and eateries of Arab Street in Singapore. It is the new home of the reliable Thai resraurant Diandin Leluk (5 stars) and also a number of small Thai specialists amongst others. The new Golden Mile? Not quite, but worth a visit if you like your Thai food authentic…

The Good: - Great views from condo - Very well maintained and polite cleaning crew which I believe is managed by an external vendor. Impeccable cleanliness - Facilities and vibe of condo is peaceful and relaxing - A lot of potential w mall integrated living. A random mix of shops in the mall despite it having a bit of an identity crisis. The Bad (which needs fixing bad) - terrible one car drop off point which means that your grab will never be able to wait - lift system is horrible. It's split lift between level 1 to 6 and you'll need to swap from 6 to your floor. It takes about 6mins to get from ground floor to your floor. The algorithm is also super bad. Lifts are always congregating on the same floor instead of being dispersed (low and high floor). Delivery personnel are always lost. Guests will also find it hard to manage - condo security is rude and management office is very unresponsive. The management office is slow to pick up calls and the room is always locked or out for lunch which makes it hard to book facilities. - there's no proper condo security desk. It's a makeshift table someone decided to move to the entrance

This is supposed to be a high end shopping mall but the feeling is like old school shopping arcade. Full of coffee shop and hair salon. Very confusing. There is a denim shop anyway.

A spanking new, minted shopping plaza having the marbled tiles scented with detergent. Half the shops weren't open on the day I visit, but for those that were, they rang of brand new~ness and that distinct sense of having just opened. There's little to no crowds on a weeknight and adjoining the building is city gates residences.

Make sure to visit KODA's cafe at lvl 2. They serve amazing bacon melt sandwich and portobello mushroom sandwich. They use quality bread (olive bread and sundried tomato bread), soooo good I go there 2-3x a week haha. Amazing coffee, good wi-fi, AC, friendly server/owners, and to my surprise, super affordable price too!!

Nice building , but too much short stay guest in and out the condo, no security check and they can just access to the condo from the mall fire lift. Is very unsafe for the condo resident. Not much shops are occupied, mostly some massage or beauty outlets in buisness.

Relatively small shopping mall as part of a condominium project. Didn't get to see much since I was only passing by. Easy to reach via Nicoll Highway MRT on the Circle Line.

  • 4/5 Rachel 1 year ago on Google
One of the several newer concepts of a mall at the lower floors and private residences upstairs. Super convenient location as it is linked by a bridge from the nicoll highway mrt station all the way to the second floor of this mall. Has a nice variety of food and service retailers, and even more food options right outside along the main road!

  • 5/5 Teresa L. 1 year ago on Google
Easy access from mrt station! Might be a little out of the way but there are hidden gems here for crafters or self pampering

  • 2/5 Upstairs F. 1 year ago on Google
This is really an odd place. Developed too early for the growth potential of the new "orchard road" in the area that's going to come up. It's an odd mix of shops, like a landlord who just wants to rent out places, but has no marketing insights into how to capture a desired target audience. A lot of shops also use it like a storage/office/production place but don't actually open the shop. As a result, the place feels already half dead. It's more half dead than say, peace centre.

  • 5/5 Clement N. 1 year ago on Google
Nice residential place with walking distance to nicol highway mrt station. Good bay view from some stacks as well

  • 4/5 Luann S. 11 months ago on Google
It's a place of convenience for me as I am in the area often. Mixture of interesting restaurants. You'll find some good Thai food here - shops that moved from Golden Mile. I would recommend the Thai restaurants on the 2nd level. There's also a Portuguese restaurant on the ground floor and the chef is very friendly. Quite a number of hair salons. I see new cafes opening up. The place is finally shaping up with the new tenants.

  • 2/5 Anna I. 11 months ago on Google
A shame that such a prime property that's conveniently situated is wasted on mediocre and unnecessary businesses/ shops. Too many "salons": nail, hair, spa/skincare, massage, etc. It would have been nice to see a big super market or other useful shops in this complex.

  • 4/5 TYP 9 months ago on Google
This Thai restaurant not in the Google map. It's located at the 2nd level, left side facing the road direction. On the left is the cafe and on the right is another Thai restaurant. Food wise, pork collar is fat and juicy, taste alike in Thailand.
