I'm writing this review in the middle of the still live Covid pandemic. I've been going to McGettigans on and off for the 3 years I have lived in Singapore. There are only a couple of Irish/British themed places in SIngapore. In the past I might come in every now and again but if we had a small team event I'd usually suggest we go here. To me, a good indicator of enjoyment is if a team event goes on longer than expected. In McGettigans it usually does. Something I've noticed over those few years is that there always seems to be the same key people who are in McGettigans. Through thick and thin. The last 3-6 months of the Covid Circuit Breaker has been brutal for so many of the places we used to go to. Decimated the hospitality industry. Some places had to close for good. McGettigans was closed for a while. I was super happy when it was back in business. I was even more happy that the same people were still there when I visited. It is the closed thing to an Irish local pub at home. So, this is a shout out to Jass, Nadia and Kumaran. You guys are awesome. Such a bunch of lovely and genuine people. You make this place as good as it is. I cannot say enough good words. That is all.

I paid $37 for two beers on a Sunday afternoon. You do the math. Place had six other customers and I still waited 10 minutes to be served, seated at the bar. When I asked for the bill and suggested she advertise the price of their beer, the waitress raised her eyebrows and said "I don't set the prices, post a review on Facebook". Go next door, it's two for one. Very disappointed with my experience and feel like I have been completely taken advantage of.

A thorough and wonderful tasting session together with Tory Arquiza … Global Master Rum Blender, Troy Arquiza showcased his finesse on his knowledge of rum within the auspices of Bacardi with us at The Bar at 15 Stamford. During the sharing and tasting session and discussion, Troy shared the origins of the three expressions of BACARDÍ rum: BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro 4 year old rum; BACARDÍ Reserve Ocho 8 year old rum and BACARDÍ Gran Reserve Diez 10 year old rum…. We just loved the 16y Limitado .. as a finale.. amazing structure! A great time at the Bar at 15!

Standout cocktails 🍹, the bar offers an extensive range of rum varieties, cocktail classics and new artisan and bespoke creations amidst an intimate setting exuding a classic, heritage charm. The restaurant menu has now moved towards classic western instead of that “fusion” stuff is better suited to its decor, and the venue is buzzing! Our favourites are the Tuna Tartare, Crab Cakes and the Tenderloin, recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Fantastic ambience, great range of rums and very competent and attentive staff. Friend and I had the Jamaican rum flight which was excellently walked through with us by the bar staff, including leaving bottles on display for reference! The added touch of some dark chocolate was surprising but worked very well with the rums. We had the oysters and soft shell crab - both of which were spot on. I would only come here at night though as it is very dark and no real outlook. But the couches are very comfortable and music just right.

Perhaps it was a busy Friday night but service was kind of absent completely. Had to find staff multiple times to order drinks. Ambience is wonderful though, there are pockets of areas and we loved the section we are in whereby it’s quite private and cosy with high ceilings. Looks like the bar area is nice too if you want to mingle with the bartender. Also unable to comprehend why would they run out of fries in their limited menu. Other bar snacks are quite average. Looks like they specialize in rum as there’s rum flights but didn’t get to try this time round. They do have a wine sommelier and a very extensive range of wines.

Intuition. Aside from a good lineup of drinks and the very "exclusive" atmosphere it lends, what sets The Bar at 15 Stamford from others is the intuition of the bartenders that spells out the difference between having a good night out and having a great experience on the overall. Not all bartenders have the gift of intuition - I met Francis for the first time - he was three days old at the bar. I ordered my first two drinks from the menu and, as I always do to "test" expertise, I ordered my third cocktail but on the basis of his recommendation and being not on the menu. He started talking about what he observed on my palate and preferred taste - and basically plucked some basil leaves from the potted herbs and mixed them with citrus juice, gin, and whatever else was there. He basically nailed it. And nailed the fourth, the fifth, and so much so, basically nailed my entire bar experience. His expertise and depth of experience manifested through his attentiveness to the guest's likes and preferences and his creativeness and resourcefulness in crafting a good cocktail. A good bar will not run without good leadership. At the helm is the man himself, Edriane. He runs the bar with an entrepreneurial mindset - as if it were his own. On top of creative direction on the drinks within the menu, Edriane is so passionate about in making sure that guest have a great experience. He is very hands-on leader - from conceptualising their bespoke events, to creating their presence on social media, and to the very mundane upkeep of the bar. He is also very hospitable and accommodating - he will find ways to make sure that you have a good time. I wouldn't want to forget mentioning their very talented bartenders - look out for Timothy who does very very good Assam and Lemongrass+Chilli shots. He knows his local flavours very well! Liza is also nice and don't be deceived by her very pretty-looking innocent drinks - they are packed with so much alcohol - living through her mighty Russian background. Because of the experience and most especially the people who are behind it, you wont be surprised that you will keep coming back - tried and tested as I have gotten to know some of its regulars. This has been my favourite hangout of a bar these days...

Just went to the bar tonight to try out a rum. Specifically Appleton Estate 25yo. The bartender told me the Appleton 25yo is not available.... When it's right behind at the bar. I then pointed the bartender to the bottle. She said 'oh that's the Appleton Estate Anniversary bottle, Joy'. I'm like 'yup, Appleton Estate JOY Anniversary Blend 25 Year Old'.... In my mind, I was like 'come on, the bottle states it 25 year old, how hard can it be' The bartender don't know the bottles on their shelf? The worst was that the menu reflected S$64 a pour, when I had a pour and later asked for the bill, it was reflected as S$86. Asked for the menu and showed the bartender the menu reflects $64, and then was I charged correctly. My review of the place? Very bad Yes, the place is nice when it comes to decor etc. However, the staff at the bar dont not know their stuff. Worse, over charging customer.

(Translated by Google) The service is good. When they could not decide on a rum, the bartender himself personally went out to our street, offered alternatives and helped to make a choice. It was nice such an attitude. Given that before that we were in a bar a hundred meters from this, where the waiter was under a butyrate and never smiled and did not double-check everything was in order.

Nice place to catch up with old friends and also work colleagues. Was here for the weekend. Drinks are very affordable. Chill place to hang and drink with both indoor and outdoor sitting. An extremely large selection of beer! The food is a must try. Very friendly service and the staffs are very attentive. Ask for Kumaran/ Jass, they have some great jokes and stories to keep you entertained. Highly recommended guys!! Surely, will go again.

We ordered 3 of the “weekly cocktails” and were told it was Bacardi, lime and strawberry sugar syrup. What we were presented with was watery pink sugar syrup. I have worked I hospitality for 7 years from high end bars to nightclubs, and also don’t usually drink Bacardi rum, so I was well aware there was no alcohol in there. The bartender tried to suggest 40mls of Bacardi was in each drink, even though my two friends agreed a they couldn’t taste any. I know this offer was cheap for Singapore but don’t offer it if you can’t deliver it!

The Bar at 15 Stamford is a great bar to chill and wind down for the weekend 🍸 If you love Rum, this place is a heaven for you. They have a huge rum collection for you to have your fill :) Do go for their signature Phantom Island cocktails! I highly recommend the “Juan De Lisbao Island” cocktail. It has a very unique flavour with a slight sweetness and satisfying kick. The texture of the drink is full and makes you want to drink more and more and even order another glass 😩💦 The other one I went for was “Demon Island” and my it was definitely pleasing. It tasted sweet and citrusy (like honey lemon) with some indescribable taste and the joys of rum. It is definitely a nice cocktail to have on a hot day or if you’re feeling up for more of a fruity and crisp drink ☺️ The bar’s aesthetic is very simple and nice and you can take a lot of nice photos sitting at the bar seats 😉

Found this place as googled for a gathering place during year end. Like it a lot as the location is centralised yet the bar itself gives you the feeling that you are out of the town. We went there when it just opened for evening crowd at 4+. Quite empty so we pretty enjoyed the cool atmosphere just by ourselves... Food is nice. We tried the Dec special cocktail and the classic menu. The classic still standout. My friend has ghd card so has some discount... Will definitely visit the bar again..

Visited twice - once to the bar and once to the restaurant. Had an amazing time at the bar with super tasty and affordable bar bites. Shout out to the amazing service from the crew! Hence the 3 stars and hence the 2nd visit (which took a 180deg turn). Was led to the restaurant side for dinner. Ordered the beef steak, turbot steak, nori pie yee and a side of hand cut potato fries. Wanted to get some bar bites but the service crew said it is not available but guys at the bar were having it (leaving us a little confused) The turbot steak was a huge let-down. Being one of the highly prized species of flat fish, it was overcooked in my opinion that the flesh was not springy at all. The accompanying sauce (Thai olive vert) tasted too sour which killed flavour of the turbot. The steak tasted very ordinary hence i would say it wasn’t worth that price. The handcut potato fries were perfect in terms of the cook and the size of the fries which allowed for easy consumption. My only complain would be the sauce it was paired with - it was too watery that dipping the potato in did not retained any sauce on the fry nor did the sauce get soaked into the fry. Hence the sauce was sort of redundant. The Nori pie tee with alantic salmon was another letdown. The nori shell was probably fried too long and it came out too hard. It doesn’t crumble nicely when bitten into with the filling (unlike the traditional fried crispy cups), and a little jaw action was needed to bite into the nori shell making the entire eating experience a little messy and unpleasant. Quite a flop for my 2nd visit. Can’t discount the great food and drinks at the bar, so maybe just stick with the bar!

The Bar@15 has been poshly decorated and gives a warm and cosy feeling. If you enjoy Rum and cocktail, this is the place to come with a wide range of selections coupled with good service and nice ambience. I had the Spannish Connection and pleasantly please with the brief explaination of the rum by the service staff, leaving the bottles for reference and dark chocolate to go with the rum. It was an interesting experience. We also enjoyed Plantation 1840, Maha Oruwa , The Eneavour and Va'a tele. Spendid place to come with friends and family.

Rum-centric cocktails in a well-appointed interior. The cocktails vary in quality (one seemed rather diluted upon serving) but the rum flights are excellent value, especially those that feature higher-proof spirits. They also ply you with a smorgasbord of cheap but disgustingly addictive bar snacks, which may or may not be a good thing. Lights cut out occasionally at our little corner of the bar. Liked - Endeavor 1769. Strong mezcal notes and pleasant sweetness. - Rum flights. The Jamaica Love featured a number of very fruity, high-proof rums. Ambivalent - Royllo. Seemed oddly watered down

Check out this lovely rum bar with creative selection of cocktails. Hundreds of different rums available to suit your palette, you're sure to find your favourite. Delicious bites to keep you going also available at the bar. I went for a ceviche and didn't get disappointed. Recommended before or after dinner. With friends or solo. Shout out to Tim, the bartender on duty during my time there.

An accidental discovery and we got lucky. 😍😍. Went for after dinner drinks . Great Ambience and a very cool atmosphere. The lighting was just perfect and the music lively as well as not too loud for us to have a great conversation. Extensive cocktails menu and each cocktail has a creative twist . Tried the Plantation 1840, their best seller followed by Formosa 1540 and then some amazing whisky based cocktails . The Bar was a masterclass in cocktail making 😍😍. Potch @15stamfordbar was at his creative best. Was experimenting with #cocktails with #chivasregal #whiskey matured in different casks . Added vermouth, absinthe to get the #cocktail some extra flavours. Did not realise the potency as each glass had 60 ml of #whisky . Loved the taste and the presentation. Sam and Khushi were great hosts and took very good care of us . #capitolkempinskisg

Ask for Timothy. Although He came across as quiet and aloof at the beginning, we warmed up to him and had such an enjoyable night. Probably one of the best bar experiences I’ve had in a long time. Timothy is also very talented, sharing with us his unique concoctions which clearly underscore his passion for his craft. Bar food is superb as well! We’ll definitely be back.

Have been here a couple of times and it's always a fantastic experience. The first time I went, we were impressed by the decor and the setup of the bar. They have countless bottles and some of the really rare rum. What sets it apart from the other bars in Singapore though is their EXCEPTIONAL food and services. I had the truffle curly fries which was absolutely amazing, the fried cauliflower that was surprisingly delicious (cause who eats vege at a bar? lol), and the glazed beef that was EXCELLENT. The cocktails were so unique and the staff really spent a lot of research hours perfecting the drinks. They can also do any bespoke ones to your liking. My two favorite drinks are the St Brendan Island (chai cocktail), and something with Laphroig which Tim made for me (he said he'll know which one if I just mention the Laphroig drink). Heard their laksa is really good but haven't had the chance to try it yet, so will do just that next time and all their other food. Lastly, a huge shoutout to the team Edriane, Tim, and Francis for making our experience so memorable and amazing. Will be bringing more friends to the place!

I came to The Bar @ 15 Stamford for a night of Jazz and a couple of cocktails. I was impressed. The service was 5* and I was pleasantly surprised about the cocktails - really clever and creative bar-tending. They were delicious and beautiful too! Staff are really passionate here and the bar itself - the design and furniture etc oozes style and that classic period of early 20th century. Nothing not to like about this place. I enjoyed it! 100% highly recommended!

Beer tower for a good price ($68++) despite happy hour being over. A light beer that is super easy (maybe too easy) to drink. Nice atmosphere inside to chit chat & they also have al fresco sofas if you wish to be outdoors. They play a nice playlist of modern hits but I do wish they'd turn down the volume a little so we didn't have to shout at each other to talk. You can also play pool as they have a pool table indoors. Not sure if by similar logic, the guitar & piano outdoors can be used by customers too? 😂 Also: The tidbits kept coming & we couldn't stop eating.... So addictive. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 💦 Water is not chargeable

Very bad experience at Breeze Bar. Went over on a Friday night and ordered a drink and some food. The waiter told us that they won't let us sit there unless both my hubby and I get a drink! Find this a ridiculous rule especially since we ordered food. When my hubby mentioned that I don't drink, he just plainly told him that he should have two drinks then. Terrible customer service. We ended up going over to a cafe just around the corner instead which had wonderful food and amazing service too.

Sunday morning and I'm surrounded by refugees from the polliwog play area:, parents having a beer and Sunday lunch while toddlers inspect the fish pond. Friendly service. Nice breeze and view of the sea and cargo ships. Maybe not a destination so much as a great place to pause on your way somewhere else.

Located in Claymore Connect, Muddy Murphy’s about a 15 minutes walk or a 14 minutes bus ride away from Orchard MRT. They have been around for many years and still maintains its classic vintage look. Felt like I was brought out of Singapore! On both occasions that I visited, I had their Roast beef which was consistent and good, accompanied with the Yorkshire puddings (which are of different qualities on both my visits) . It’s also one of the few places in Singapore that serves Shepherd’s pie with minced lamb meet! Love the authenticity. Between the apple pie and apple crumble, I prefer the Apple crumble. It has different layers of textures and isn’t too sweet. If you are looking for a set meal, go for a Sunday Roast! Lobster bisque is part of the menu too! Top it up with a few pints of beer to complete the experience. Topping the rating with a 5 stars for their great service! Definitely is yes, to going back !

I ordered the shepherd's pie, steak and bacon wrapped sausages. For dessert, I had the apple crumble. The food was excellent. The only issue is that the poor gals working there have to rush around as the pub is understaffed. Always a great place to have lunch or dinner.

I’m glad my friend introduced me to this place! Food is really good! Had shepherd’s pie and roast dinner. Makes me warm and fluffy inside so good! Service was good too! I’m not a bear person so I had the non-alcoholic ginger beer which is good too!!! Would come back for their Sunday lunch 3 course menu next time(only 30 bucks!) Abit far from MRT but deco of the place is good and nice! 5 star for sure!

The food is too good. Ordered the beef tenderloin steak rare. Leaving this place super satisfied. Service was impeccable as well but most of all, the ambience is great. Came here on Monday evening when there was no music playing. Great place to settle down in silence or with cozy conversation.

The fish n chips is definitely one of the best in town. Light batter and really fresh fish with lovely sauce. I only wished that the chips were chunkier and piping hot. The shepherd pie was very beautifully done n delicious. Highly recommended

Irish pubs for kilnkenny please! This time I had the fish and chips – crispy and moist fish, it's decent. The staff asked if I needed vinegar, which went well with it. Previously I had the shepherd's pie. It was good – better than fish and chips – and more filling! Pleasant experience, friendly staff and good for a catch-ups or chilled days.

Dining at Muddy Murphy's Irish Pub is a wonderful experience. The area is spacious and the ambience was excellent due to the painstaking efforts to create a sensational vintage pub in the 19 century. The fish and chips was tasty and came out looking like a whole fish that was battered, on top of a bed of delicious mash peas. Bangers was satisfying and the portion generous. Staff was attentive although they can be short handed at times. This place is a gem and its highly recommended.

Ambiance: 5/5. Details below. Service: 5/5. Prompt & friendly service. Food: 3/5. Details below. Price: 4/5. Entertainer 1-for-1 brought me here. But overall, prices are reasonable. Location: 5/5. It's in Clarke Quay baby! Lol Chill bar music with mainly indoor (aircon) & some outdoor seats. Tried their steak & it was too chewy. We tried. We actually didn't wanna inconvenience the kitchen to get us another set but the service staff asked us about the food & we casually commented that it was kinda chewy & they promptly got us 2 new sets - which we had trouble finishing lol. Fries & onion rings were ok & portions were sizeable.

Ordered just one food item. Chicken Wellington. It was great. Not so sure about the cocktail. I have a very low tolerance of alcohol , however I couldn’t taste nor feel any alcohol in it at all. Also read reviews of people saying there’s no alcohol in their cocktails.

My spouse and I visited this delightful Irish Pub last month and enjoyed the atmosphere and food in equal parts. We stopped by twice in our short stay in Singapore because we liked the place so much. There was a live band playing on Saturday night and the place was jumping. A great night was had by all - the food was excellent and our waiter (Ivan) was so attentive.

Lovely place! Long happy hours till 10.00 pm! beautiful ambience! We dropped by for awhile another day and it was a good experience! Of course, its not as going as It used to be duo to nobody can play music nowadays but other than that It still a good spot to catch up with friends for a few drinks. They have a happy hours till 10.00 pm all week long and IT is a cool thing to try it out! 12$ cocktails - beautiful surroundings - will make some positive vibes! We liked it! Just to note that please serve all the drinks together - not one by one and perhaps a bit less ice. They were strong and pretty looking so everybody liked it! thank you!

I enjoyed the food, especially the fries and wedges which remained crispy for a long time. The Irish burger was tasty too, something I will recommend for all to try. Fish and chips was a little oily. The drawback was the slow service from the crew. Took them a long time to notice us, settle bill etc. And some of the them may not be proficient in English

Because of our early ending to our cruise we spent 8 extra nights in the novotel across the road from mcgittigans pub. We could not fault the food for quality and quantity and I know the drinks were a bit pricey but only the same as the rest of the bars. The waiting staff were attentive and usually knew what drinks we wanted as we mostly had the same when we called in there which was every day. The 2 managers Brian and James were always wandering around and chatting to customers to check if everything was ok. My husband told them i collect teddy bears from the places we had been to and on our last night James brought me a large bear with a knitted jumper from one of the hotels. I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of him. We will certainly go there again once this virus has done it's worst and we can go back to singapore. Hope all the staff are well and not quarantined with the virus. All the best, sue and derek henderson.

This bar is so classy and gorgeous, can only imagine how nice it would’ve been for a special occasion pre-Covid with loads of people around and music on :) Nevertheless the current situation doesn’t stop the team from providing top notch service and we had a really lovely evening here. The rum cocktails are serious business and there’s a nice wine list as well as other cocktails and spirits too if you prefer something else. The Mayan sour (their September cocktail) was the standout for us.

The atmosphere, lighting and hardware is nice. Drinks are ok but the bar snack selection can definitely improved. The truffle fries cost 14 bucks but taste like McDonald twisty fries. Food menu is lacking and really has room to beef up or collaborate with their other restaurants within the premise. The bar seems understaff and takes a while to get serviced. Since menu is QR code already, they should consider allowing taking orders online too, this will resolve the staff issue, which was a bummer to the overall experience.

Service is great, food and beverages are 3x the cost of anywhere else, wine is awesome, food is pretty sad. We ordered fried Camembert which was replaced with mozzarella sticks without being informed, the truffle fries had zero truffle flavor, and the ice cream that came with dessert was salty.... extremely salty. They did have great service recovery with a complementary dessert. Would have been great to know that there was an alternate menu from the start so we could have ordered more decent food rather than tons of greasy and badly deep fried bar snacks. Credit to the servers, they never left our glasses empty at any time and always prompt when we had an order to make.

Housed in The Capitol Kempinski Hotel, The Bar at 15 Stamford unveils a new bar menu that will take guests on a transoceanic journey across the Austronesian Islands. Developed by Bar Manager Edriane Lim and The Bar at 15 Stamford team, the expertly crafted cocktails explore tales of way-faring and trade that defined the Austronesian region. The menu lists 16 cocktails divided into two sections: Signature Cocktails and Austronesian Islands, and features vintage Bacardi advertisements alongside a history of the Austronesian Islands, with crisp images of each cocktail to enable you to visualise each drink. Try the Plantation 1840 ($24), a strong yet refreshingly long drink composed of Black Tears Rum, sweet vermouth, pineapple juice, sugarcane juice syrup, lemon juice and fresh mint, and served in a copper mug. Each ingredient recognises Balestier, who planted pineapple and sugarcane during his time on the island whilst setting up copper stills to distil rum from sugar syrup. The drinking menu also features one of Singapore’s most extensive rum selections, with over 200 rums to explore. Guests can request a range of cocktail classics and bespoke creations that will seduce the most sophisticated connoisseurs. Rum enthusiasts can enjoy a range of rum flights, such as Don Facundo’s Legacy ($40), which features the story of Don Facundo Bacardí Massó, who founded the first BACARDÍ rum distillery in Santiago de Cuba.
