Great bar with excellent atmosphere, not so crowded on the weekday, especially during these period which only allowed 2 to dine in. It’s a nice place for 2 of us to chat. Happy hour changed from 4-7pm to 4-6pm, happy hour cocktail menu also changed a bit here and there, but the quality still remains. They still have all night happy hour for oyster at $3++/piece, great for oyster lovers.

Nearest Subway: Outram Park, Exit H, 5 minutes walk to destination. Vibe: 4/5 It is a very welcoming and cosy bar on the second floor from Humpback. I like that it is non-pretentious and service associates took pride in their work like being engaging by reflecting the same energy back or just general responsive service. Attitude: 4/5 Most of the associates and bartender TK exude a very positive and cohesive attitude towards their job and it is very inspiring to see colleagues working well with one another. Seatings: 3.5/5 I sat at the bar and it was relatively comfortable but I noticed the table seats for 2-seaters seemed too cramp and small. Perhaps it was due to the bar's overall space, but I believe this improvement can be made in the future. Drinks: 3.8/5 At first glance, the cocktails look like how they should be, nothing too fancy. But the taste was really done well! The old-fashioned is a widely known drink but the balance was just right, with enough sweetness and whiskey bland. The other cocktails had a unique taste to them which were different from most of the cocktail bars in Singapore. Food: 4/5 I am not really a foodie but both my visits to Humpback and Gibson were delectable! They have their own taste in their cuisine and I am happy to spend my money on their menu. It is not too heavy and not lacking where you felt like you need another main meal after this. Service: 4.5/5 I guess we all can agree to their prompt and sincere service! Suitability: Adults only. Overall improvement: - Perhaps there can be a few more items on the food menu. - When the bar is not crowded, the voices of the bartender(s) and associates shouldn't be louder than the customers. Should you visit? - DEFINITELY!

It's been awhile since I drink with friends in a bar. Nearest mrt is outram or you can grab there and home lol. Cocktail is its main forte, recommended by a good friend who frequent here more than 10 times. What you can find here is totally out of standard norm. Im a cocktail noob and asked my friend for lychee martini but she asked her waiter friend to custom make another similar drink for me. Most of drinks are just wow wow wow! Visited in Sep 2022. An absolutely fantastic cocktail bar in Singapore. A hidden gem which doesn’t seem to be known to many ppl. The place has been mentioned in some popular blogs as one of the best cocktail bars in SG and it’s bang on. We ended up ordering around 8-10 cocktails and each one of them was unique and interesting. My favourites were: 1. Urban Farmer No. 4 2. Mango PX 3. Barley Sour 100% recommendation for ppl who want to try out good cocktail places in Singapore. Will be visiting again soon.

I am always impressed how the resto here (and the sister resto downstairs) are true to their theme. I took some inspiration from their interior designs to have for my own apartment. Service here is always wonderful, and the food is very good. While the below Humpback is mostly about their food, the Gibson is about the cocktails; however having said this we can order from downstairs (which we did). The meats was very well cooked and seasoned, the broccoli is fantastic. The cocktail is jigger-and-pony standard; its very well made. I completely recommend this place for hanging out with friends for drinks and food.

A really lovely cocktail bar. The menu has some really unique creations. Definitely worth getting there for the happy hour! Had a lovely negroni, and also had s specialty cocktail - farmer #3 I think. Gin and sweet and sour and yum! Awesome service to boot!

Nice feeling bar like inspired by Europe but based on Japanese bar philosophy. Near to outram station, 2nd floor of the building. I heard that the other shops of this building are also under their group. For dating, for sightseeing, for chatting with friends, you can get good time for any occasion. Cocktails are very creative and delicious. High skills and knowledge by Japanese bartender. I recommend not only to bar lovers, also to bar beginners.

Always a great time at Gibson! The bar setting is very cozy and intimate and the vibe is really nice. Have tried a few drinks here and they were all very good. One of their highlights is of course their Gibson drink, that’s quite fantastic for those of you who like Gibson. Another highlight is that drink where they would dim the light so they can put on a fire show; can’t remember the name but they’ll know if you mention it. Service is top notch and people are very friendly. They also have happy hour that ends at 7pm so better come early!!

Here for new year eve drinks with friends and fiancé. You can tell the bar tender on what you like and they will custom made drinks for you, personalise experience haha. Tried few glasses of cocktails with whiskeys base, gin, sobe (not too sure what’s the name but it’s like ice cream). I find it very unique. Good place to hang out with friends for any occasion.

Can never go wrong with this place. Visited for the 3rd time and staff are always friendly. Complimentary tea and snacks when you arrive. Great drinks and if you like coconut, be sure to try Always Summer!

They have pretty good cocktails off and on the menu. Love the silk and gibson cocktails on the menu! Food portion is small but taste good. Ordered the octopus, bread and mushroom tempuras. Vibes is okay too. Maybe just a lil pricy.

Perhaps it goes without saying but just a really good Gibson to be had here. The drink menu was unique and well curated. The ambiance and pleasant bartenders make for a very comfortable spot that I’ll definitely be headed to again.

A cosy,friendly and relaxing bar to imbibe some Classics. Best to get a counter-seat to watch Torigata-san's detailed preparation of various cocktails starting from unwrapping crystal-clear quality ice cube to the last subtle squeeze of citrus peel before serving.  The Gibson (with sake vermouth) is one drink to savour when visiting.

The best cocktail bar in Singapore. There are some higher reviewed and more renowned places in Singapore but for the consistency and price you will pay this place is my favourite. Excellent staff and the cocktails are each perfect.

If you love fresh oysters and a huge fan of cocktails, this is a place to visit! Happy hour for all oysters all night long on Tuesdays! Be sure to sit at the bar and watch the bartender prepare your cocktail! Dont know what to drink? Ask him for recommendation and he gladly explain how each liquor tastes like and what would be your cup of "tea".

Nice quiet place with good music for an early evening drink. I especially like the classic, old fashioned decor and feel of the place. Interesting selection of cocktails also, especially for folks who like light, fresh flavors.

Ambience is amazing. Sugarcane Daiquiri: 5 stars Don Don Old-Fashioned: 4.5 stars When I think Old-Fashioned, I usually think "sweet". But this one is more on the – I wouldn't say savoury – neutral-salty side. Very intriguing, lingering aftertaste on the palate.

This is starting to be one of my favourite bars now. Came here for the cocktails - Pear Negroni and Old-Fashioned are my go-to drinks. But food here is amazing too. You'd need to order the karaage, crab croquettes and the omg oysters. Happy hour prices at $3++ a piece of top quality oyster. All the friends I brought here are well satisfied and we plan to come back soon ?

Sweet spot. Cosy setting with a beautifully presented menu. Quality of drinks were excellent, and the food menu was okay but a little all over the place. From cheap looking fried chicken to fancy octopus. Will definitely go again.

One of my favourite bars in Singapore.. and I don’t say this lightly. Gibson is a place where you need to be, for its good food and drinks. We were lucky enough to be here before happy hour and got drinks at $14 per pop. Pear Negroni, old fashioned, honeydew matcha, yuzu highball. Shoutout to the main man MK who gave us a short education session on gins and let us try different gins. I’ve been to almost ALL cocktail bars in Singapore and this still hits differently everytime I step in (in a good way) ?

Happy hour on weekdays has drinks half off and half dozen oysters going for just $18. I must say the oysters are top notch and paired very well with their cocktails. I'm not even much of a drinker myself but enjoyed their cocktails immensely. Lovely ambience and...service crew in shorts! Cute touch.

It's quite a pity that they're always packed and popular, especially on weekend nights. Was there around 1030pm on Friday, and they were full to the brim. We ended up being downstairs at Live Twice, which was quite a pity but all good otherwise! Really appreciated the level of service that the servers gave us, and even took the courtesy to bring us down to our table as busy as they were. Do reserve beforehand next time!

Gibson Bar is a place I find myself returning to time after time, usually after a disappointing night out trying a new bar or restaurant in order to affirm my faith in what Singapore has to offer. This place is the perfect examplar of Japanese American cocktail culture. Impeccably beautiful bar, upbeat jazz/swing music and sharply dressed bartenders/servers, oozing with easy charm. Each cocktail perfectly concocted to emulate a mood or theme. I’ve drank my way through the menu many times and I am still enamoured. Grain is Gold tastes like a cozy breakfast on a cold winter morning. Sugarcane Daiquiri is sublime with pops of brightness in the finger lime jelly. Blazing Colada is an adrenaline inducing pyrotechnic feat of daredevilry served table side. The idiosyncratic Japanese thoughtfulness shines in every element in ones enjoyment of this bar. Half price $3 oysters on Tuesdays all night long - what more can a girl ask for?

Made a booking 4 days in advanced. Poorly trained staff called me 3 hours before the booking to say they were fully booked for an event. No alternatives or restitution offered. Merely mentioned I can try another cocktail bar. A great cocktail does not make up for pathetic service.

Great bar with speakeasy vibes. The staff was very attentive and brought drinks out quite quickly. There were a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. The food options are limited but the staff were able to veganize one of the dishes for us.

This place slaps but the one problem with Gibson (and many other bars situated in shophouses) is that it's not wheelchair-accessible.

Staff didn't check seating availability properly. Senior staff didnt do a good job recomending drinks. Not sure if they were expecting us to understand the menu by ourselves. While waiting for my card to be returned, the staff by the name of Tun Kun decided to be rude to me, and the outlet manager asked me to leave the premises for getting upset. Is this what u call service from a reputable bar? This is really dissapointing.

very bad customer service. the staff were extremely rude. they were as trash as their food and drinks. there is no redeeming quality. please just do yourself a favour and get plain water and a sandwich from the 7-11 right across the street because at least the service and food there is better. yes, the bar here is low, but this bar shouldn't exist.

bartenders by the name of tunkun asked if we had a problem, and when we asked the same thing back, we were asked to leave the venue. i expected more from asia number 66 bar.

Came for happy hour... the drinks are not bad but one of the staff was so rude! We understood that we have to return the table by 7:30 and would like to order one last round of drinks at 7:10. Simon who rejected our order even if we guaranteed that we could return the table on time. It’s pretty ridiculous... we had never experienced that at a bar before! Not coming back again if the staff were not welcoming!

As a top 50 bar in asia, Gibson was very disappointing. Ambiance is average at best. Cocktails are innovative, but doesn't perform. Totally lackluster and does not have the WOW factor. Feels like a very normal bar with an overpriced menu, which makes me wonder what we are paying the premium for?

The cocktails were very disappointing (especially the Pear Negroni) and the service was pretty awful too.

Went here for after dinner drinks and was underwhelmed. Atmosphere was ok but not great, and cocktails were really disappointing. We ordered the guava highball which was a lot sweeter than expected and had zero taste of spirits whatsoever, and a whisky sour which was just too sweet. Fine to try once but probably won’t make a second visit.

We were crammed at a tiny table by the toilet and couldn’t hear our own words, so noisy it was. Once we were transferred to a different table, we got literally kicked out after 20 minutes albeit ordering our 3rd round of drinks and food ! “Sorry, we need to cancel your food order now, your time is up” so rude! The drinks are awesome tho, such a shame ! SGD300 down the drain! Never again:(

What why so many good reviews? 😂 This bar is another place that tries to be fancy doing “mixology” but that ends up with tasteless creations. They can’t manage their classic drinks either, bland, not boozy enough. The atmosphere and staff are good for sure. But next time I’ll pass.

Ambience was 5/5 Food was 4/5 Drinks were 5/5 Service was 5/5 Drinks were really unique. I got a drink with ginseng kombucha as one of the main ingredients, it was very fragrant without smelling too medicinal :) Another drink that I got was fermented banana drink - it has a unique taste, sweet and sour and the texture of the drink was super smooth!! Food was great too but I won't say amazing - it's good for a bar standard. Pricing at the pricier side, but with that you get very good service. All waiters have a very good understanding of the menu. Their hot pina colada was quite a show. We saw it served with fire involved! Quite a spectacle :) Will come back again for their funky unique drinks!

The best cocktails in Singapore are at Gibson Bar IMHO. The setting is elegant and understated, with knowledgeable staff that will make your night! The attention to detail on both food and drinks is second to none. Happy hour is between 4pm - 6 pm also has great deals to offer as well - order oysters from their sister bar downstairs too if you're a fan of these gems delicacies ;)

Had a great time and delicious cocktails. The ‘Gibson’ is a must try - loved the pickles that came with the drink. You can also order oysters from Humpback downstairs.

Visited this joint, because Jigger & Pony was packed, and it managed to provide the same level of quality as its sister bar (Jigger & Pony). Ordered my go-to cocktail, Moscow Mule, and was not disappointed. Service crews were also very friendly. Also tried out Cold Smoke and really enjoyed it.
