Busy crowded hawker centre / market. One part of Tekka Centre comprises of food stalls and the remaining portion is the wet market selling meat, vegetables, seafood and food products. There are many different food options such as Chinese, Halal, Indian, vegetarian and more. Prices are reasonable

Tekka Centre Food Court is a food haven with a plethora of options to satisfy diverse cravings. While many stalls offer similar cuisines, the variety is impressive, featuring a mix of Indian and Chinese delights. During my visit, I stumbled upon an outstanding Mutton Biryani whose origin I couldn't pinpoint, but its flavor was unforgettable. Bursting with spices, the biryani delivered a delightful kick, and the mutton was both succulent and flavorful. Despite being tourists, the vendors were friendly, adding a welcoming touch to the experience. To complement the meal, the Mango Lassi proved to be an excellent choice. One of the notable aspects of Tekka Centre is its affordability – the food is deliciously cheap. The bustling atmosphere is a blend of locals and tourists, creating a lively and vibrant scene. However, the lack of air conditioning and the crowded setting mean you should be prepared for warmth and close quarters. Despite the cozy conditions, the overall experience at Tekka Centre Food Court is unparalleled. The authentic flavors, diverse options, and the bustling atmosphere make it one of the best hawker centers I've visited. I highly recommend it for a genuine taste of local delights in a lively setting.

The sights and sounds of Tekka Market are just amazing. A place for cooked food, raw food and clothes and knick knacks and various little things! A great place to visit! From ladies dresses with matching masks, to menswear of all colours. Well worth a visit!

If you want to buy Indian food than you should visit Tekka wet market. Fresh vegetables, seafood, meat and a food court will give you a peek into Singapore’s culture.

This is the only wet market I can find plenty of buah keluak sellers at level 1. Price I paid for in 2024 Feb is $18/kg for the paste. It's a dirty place but I got what I want at the very least.

There is a Indian/Malay wing and a Chinese wing to this food centre. Lotsa great food and my goto place for Indian food like Thosai, Uppam, Naan, Chapatti etc. However, the open air (read hot & sweltering), crowded and constantly not very clean environment is quite a put off for many people. My strategy is to bring the food to quieter, less crowded and better ventilated areas of the food. I was quite happy to have found a corner of the Chinese section near the wet market that is like a wind tunnel.

Not the same Little India (Singapore) it once was, but we'll worth visiting all the same. The ground floor is packed full of mostly Indian food eateries and the upper floor is full of clothing retailers and the occasional bric-a-brac stall. The Indian food is inexpensive and generally excellent.

One of the largest markets in Singapore in Little India. It has a huge variety of shops, fresh foods, fresh fish and seafood, hawker stalls with tons of food choices and fairly cheap prices. There are also many shops with clothing, Indian made textiles, and plenty of Knick knacks and souvenirs. It’s a bit busy, expect it to be crowded and bustling.

This Hawker place is in Little India, in Singapore, just a few meters from the MRT station, and has a variety of Indian and other similar food stalls. Many of the stalls serve Meat dishes such as Mutton and Chicken Biryani, as well as a myriad of Vegetarian selections. There are other cuisine reoresented as well, such as Sri Lankan and of course the native Singaporean cuisine. The drinks are also Indian style or at least Indian influenced, but also with some places serving genwric Singaporean style drinks (kopi, iced tea, barley drinks and Lime coolers). Most of the dishes are Spicy, as are most Indian food, but just the smells coming from different stalls are enough to whip up an appetite. Seating is of course first come, first served, but it is relatively easy to find a table. The selections are mind-boggling, prepare to be overwhelmed. There are comfort rooms situated in the area, but they do charge around 30 cents to use. The centre also has a 2nd level where you can shop for traditional Indian saris, shawls and other attire. This hawker center is very Highly Recommended!

First off the food we purchased was good and tasty. I love India food so for me it was definitely worth visiting. However, I couldn't give it a higher rating because I was surprised how unclean this hawker center was. I honestly can see some people eating at this food court. It's not for the weak at heart. Being in Singapore I was really surprised to see trash, dirty tables, dirty floors, pigeons walking around, it looked unsanitary. That being said if you like Indian food it's worth a try.

10 Oct 2023: Tekka Centre…the heart of Little India; a wet market and a very crowded food centre that serves some of the best food. Nasi biryani from YAKADER…decent biryani, big serving, flavorful rice, mutton and chicken are tender. Indian rojak from HAJI JOHAN…our choices of potatoes, sotong, tempeh, coconut and the perfectly-battered prawn fritters. Serving comes with sliced cucumber, onions, green chilli and their special dipping sauce. A hot ginger tea to go with the great meal…could not ask for more.

This is a five star atmosphere for a hawker centre in the market so do not expect hotel class five stars! It is clean and comfortable. No worries for you who are looking for halal foods, they separate the stalls nicely also the cleaning. Looking for Indian foods? This place has almost everything you might wanna try! The chinese foods are also good but not as much Malay or Indian food available. I was going here to get prawn mee but damn maybe I was blind and can't find it. The mutton soup is very different from Indonesia's version. Food portions here are big, so prepare your stomach!

One of my favourite places to have lunch - massive Hawker centre with many Indian food stalls plus other Asian cuisines. Also has a very big wet market with seafood stalls, fresh fruit and veg and meat stalls. So much variety, so much to see. Upstairs you can find tailors, indian clothing stores and souvenir shops.

Discover the vibrant heart of Little India at Tekka Centre, where flavors explode and cultures collide! My recent visit was nothing short of a culinary adventure, highlighted by an unforgettable Chicken Tikka that still dances on my taste buds. Nestled amidst the colorful chaos of this bustling market, the food stall I stumbled upon was a treasure trove of authentic Indian cuisine, served with a side of genuine warmth and hospitality. The vendor, with his friendly smile and eagerness to share his culinary passion, made the experience even more special. Whether you're a foodie on the hunt for bold flavors or simply in search of a warm, inviting place to eat, Tekka Centre is the spot to be. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that encapsulates the spirit of Singapore's melting pot. Don't miss out on this delightful corner of Little India - your taste buds will thank you!

Loved this market! You can find everything in one place. It is very clean. A lot of food choices in the food court. So many options to choose from. We loved the roti with curry sauce, so good!!! Also very accessible near the train station. It's so fun to walk around here. We just had trouble finding the elevator to go down because we have elderlies with us they had a hard time going down the stairs.

On Mondays, I like to go to Tekka Food Centre for my brunch because here is where most of my favourite food stalls are open whilst at other food centres it’s an off day for most stalls I like. Tekka Food Centre is not just for Indian food; there’s a section popular for non-Indian food — Chinese, Malay, Western. In this post, I want to give a shout out to my favourite glutinous rice n economical bee hoon stall. Read on: When I crave for glutinous rice, I think of my FAVOURITE GLUTINOUS RICE & ECONOMICAL BEE HOON STALL — Zhu Jiao Shu Shi, stall 01-284 at Tekka Food Centre. Once you’ve tasted the food, you know it must be cooked by someone with years of experience. True enough, the cook is an elderly lady, with a middle-aged man, who’s probably her son, serving customers. This plateful of glutinous rice n fried bee hoon topped with cabbages n a fried egg is only $3. They should be charging more for such a generous helping of delicious food. Please support them.♥️

A lot of stores to choose from. Had the dum mutton briyani which was good but their chicken was dry. From another store, the naan was not bad but the tandoori chicken not worth getting. Standby wet n dry tissues if you go as the seats were dirty >.<

Had a sumptuous lunch at Delhi Lahori (North Indian cuisine). The freshly made Chicken Tikka was tender and juicy. It complements very well with hot chappatis, garlic naans, dal and alu ghobi (potato and cauliflower). A true taste of Pakistani cuisine.

Simply the best fresh fruits, veggies, meat and fish market in Singapore. If you like supporting mom-and-pop businesses, shop at tekka! These businesses are disappearing due to supermarkets and e-commerce..but keep them alive. Try Osman for lamb, Chia for veggies, a lady whose stall is at the very exit for chicken. Great fish everywhere. Also check out the fresh spice mixer near Osman...one of the best!
