Check in was a shocker - there is no physical check in so you need to use an app. App was buggy and after 45mins with their online text-based support, I ended up being checked in manually. Bathrooms on bottom floor where I was staying are shared with the restaurant so quite a lot of traffic. No light in shower so I needed to open a window to the street. Upstairs bathrooms are better. Towel had holes in it and was stained. Single room was clean but very small so wouldn’t recommend staying for a long time, or have fantasies about relaxing in room. Walls are thin and I could hear my neighbour snoring. Bedding was very comfortable.

If you like peace and quiet do not stay here. I was given a room right by the window and could hear nothing but trucks and sirens all day. When asked for another room I was told the hotel was fully booked and was given no option to cancel my second night or switch rooms . Would never stay at another one of these hotels again.

Booked a room with private bathroom here for the convenient location. For its price, understandably room is not as comfortable - small room, small bathroom. No soundproofing so just need to keep the volume down. Bed is comfortable albeit the head clearance is small and spaciousness.

No slipper. No hand soap. Not even a single plastic cup. Broken towel with a big hole. Broken bed sheet with another big hole. This is my first time spotting this many bad points at one place/ night. Locker with no key on it, which is insane. I couldn’t even brush my teeth properly. Location is good. But very noisy at night(people playing music etc) I don’t wanna be mean but with all the pros and cons, this place is overrated and expensive.

Great location and extremely clean room. There is a kitchen for guests to use also. The check-in is cumbersome and I was only able to complete it with the help of the staff who were luckily there at the time of my check in. My biggest complaint is the lack of soundproofing from the noise outside. You can hear a conversation had in normal speaking volume and you can hear the music from the nearby clubs until early in the morning. If the soundproofing were fixed I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

I made many many precious memories here with a loved one, and the reason is because this is the best outlet out of all the ST signatures in Singapore (yes, we tried all of them). The cook lab is well maintained and has a small seating area, with no weird smells or dirty plates from other guests. The beds were immaculate, and the price for rooms with private bathrooms were reasonable too. It’s also well located in the heart of Tanjong Pagar so you will never go hungry. Will always recommend this place for affordable and fuss free staycations!

stayed 6D5N.. if u don't mind sharing toilets and yet, have a private space to call a rm w some walking space, then this is not a bad option. Have stayed in other places w similar concepts, however, there seems to be a lack of reminders to guests to be considerate to others. Some turned on loud music n sang like itz ktv in d rm, walked long d corridor slapping their flip flops ard early in d mornings, slammed d door in&out even aft midnight.. i mean, basic manners n consideration to others shd be impressed upon guests staying in shared spaces. Wall partition/sound proofing is pretty bad.. my next dr neighbour snores n it felt like he was just next to me snoring for 5Ns. just hope u meet considerate guests or request for a rm further away from d door. Online customer asst was prompt n fast, just missing the usual over d counter warmth.

A great co-working hostel, if you pay for a window. I was here for 2 weeks and enjoyed my stay. Wifi, aircon, bed, kitchen, showers were all very good. Very clean and my room was serviced every 3 days (you have to let them know the day and time). My only complaint was it was cheaper for me to book with booking.com than go directly to them. This made my first week expensive, but I acknowledge I booked it at short notice when the prices were higher.

This place is not a family friendly. If you have CLAUSTROPHOBIC, I do not recommend to stay here since the ceiling is very low if you sleep in the second floor. I stayed here on July with my family for a week and it was unpleasant. The bed is not that clean, there is no toothbrush, slippers, etc. I stayed in the first floor on the left side near the lane. It was VERY NOISY for a couple nights, from people who works next door while talking in the phone, I was so upset at that time and told the receptionist. When we look at the curtain, they only covers the glass with selotape. And it was disappointing that they say they couldn't do anything with it. We cannot sleep peacefully until 1am. Also the shared bathroom AC sometimes was very strong and cold. There were hairs and un flushed dirt. Not a good place to stay especially if you bring your family and want peace.

Fantastic place to stay. The rooms are small but have all the essentials. Shared bathroom but I never had to wait to use it. It was a quiet, safe, and clean place to stay in the middle of a busy part of town. Easy access to multiple forms of public transit. Will definitely stay again if I am back in Singapore.

Would book again! Checking in yourself was new for me, and although it takes a few minutes, the process is actually pretty simple. There is also staff present from 7am to 10pm to help you if necessary. The location is great. You have easy access to the metro lines that can bring you to Gardens by the Bay, Little India, and if you so desire, even back to the airport. The bed is comfortable, and the amenities provided were great. Showers were clean, but perhaps it was a bit crammed to store your clothes while showering. Only one (big) flaw in the rooms, however, is ventilation. As there are no windows in the room (depending on type) you'll notice condensation building on the mirrors and walls. This is a sign of poor ventilation and a lack of fresh oxygen. The solution I found is to turn the AC unit to "high power". It will be quite a bit cooler (18°C even), but at least the air will ventilate through the room much better.

Great location, clean rooms, and bathrooms. However, I woke up at 4 in the morning to use the bathroom ( 4 floors) and I ran into a really weird person, I reported but they didn't seem to care that much. There's no security in the building after working hours and since the front door is always open anyone has access to the building.

I must say I didn't have high expectations. But the rooms were just as nice as the photos, the bathrooms were relatively cleaned and regularly maintained and the overall vibe was great with quiet nights and AC in all rooms. The self check in concept, I have to be honest, I wasn't keen at first and it does have its drawbacks, but it works and the on call staff whatsapp is very responsive.

It's not a hotel at all just a bed like dormitories if you will keep your trolley bag down then there won't be space to keep your legs that much small. Neat and clean but I feel like in a sleeper couch in the train, bath room and toilet are common. I never suggest this place to anyone

St Signature at Tanjong Pagar was a perfect landing for my transit through Singapore. The bed was super comfortable, the room and bath clean, staff was courteous and helpful, and the community kitchen had Miele oven, microwave, and coffee maker. The touch pad door locks provided ease of entrance and security. I did not eat at the cafe downstairs, but it looked like a good choice. The Chinatown central location was easy to find and made daily explorations for food, coffee, and shops a breeze. It would only have been easier if a MRT stop had been on the corner, but the metro and Maxwell Food Centre are literally within grasp. I don't know about the other St Signature locations, but this one was excellent in all the areas that matter: security, comfort, and cleanliness. You have to download an app for check-in and room key instructions, but it's also a messaging app and proved useful when staff booked me an airport taxi. It's a great value, and I would definitely stay here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Definitely not under the category of hotel. I’m fine with shared bathrooms and small rooms but there’s definitely insufficient amenities. No toothbrush, slippers, no daily change of towels. And it’s just too noisy from the restaurant outside. And the customers there comes in to use hotel’s shared bathroom!

Very clean and modern hotel. The facilities were great and the location at Tanjong Pagar was very good. Very near to the MRT station. Also, it was the cheapest hotel available. Great value for money. Excellent customer service too!

Stayed here for 5 nights in a double room with private bathroom. I wish I could write a better review for this hotel. There are a lot of things to like: the location is excellent, it is nicely designed, the fittings are contemporary, the staff are friendly and tried to be helpful (when they are encountered) and the rooms (although compact) are well reasonably well appointed. However, there are some notable drawbacks that are important to note for potential guest... 1. Noise. The hotel is in the food and entertainment district of Tanjong Pajar. On the south-western corner of the building, there is a nightclub that pumps bass til the early morning; in the north-east, a hotel opposite that plays loud music during the day; in the south-east, a bar about 50m down the road with people enjoying themselves on the street again until the early morning; and a bar on the top floor if you are staying on the third floor. If you are a heavy sleeper this is unlikely to bother you. 2. Privacy. The design of the rooms is to maximum utilisable space. This is generally done well, however, note that your bed is best described as occupying a pod either above, or below. Think of a bunkbed with the lower and upper bunks facing into separate rooms. This is perfectly fine if it were properly sound proofed, or you are fortunate enough to have considerate neighbours. However, in my case, the couple next door decided to have a romantic time into the early hours of the morning, and I found myself an unwilling participant in their intimate experience sharing the moans and groans in the bed module directly below them, from the neighbouring room. I do, however, commend their stamina. If you are staying with children, this would make for an interesting discussion at the very least. 3. Hygiene. I will say that the rooms are generally clean. However, the shower curtains were very mouldy and should have been replaced prior to hosting guests. When requesting for it to be changed, the hotel management were unable to produce a single clean shower curtain for 3 days (at the time of writing). Because the shower is at best 70 cm wide, as you shower the mouldy curtain will billow in the draft, sticking to you as you shower, which is pretty gross. Also, there was a cockroach in my room, just by the by. 4. Size. If you are a larger person, have mobility challenges, or have larger luggage, this hotel is not for you. You will struggle with the size of the private shower in particular (as above). There is not enough room to open anything more than a small cabin bag. If you happen to get a room with an upper bunk, you will have to clamber up to your bed by stepping onto some metal shelving (there is no ladder integrated). Ideal for a solo traveller or couple travelling light, who don't mind a compact space in a busy neighbourhood, and slow and ineffective management responses. Great value if you can purchase rooms at a deep discount, otherwise at full price there are better options.

New experience for me with self check-in. The staff is friendly and helpful when you need. The place is quiet and safe. The room is small but with all the essentials. Both the room and bathroom are clean and comfortable although the bathroom is shared. Convenient location with several minutes' walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT station. Perfect for a short budget stay for me.

There is renovations on going currently and there is no notice on the website and no person in charge mentioned that before I booked. How to work or sleep in the hotel as the drilling and hammering sounds are so loud and annoyed! I don’t like their dishonest and when u complain they only said the sounds normally stopped at 6pm 🙄🙄

My stay at Signature Tanjong Pagar Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The chic ambiance and attention to detail in the room's design created a luxurious and comfortable retreat. The staff's personalized service surpassed expectations, adding a touch of warmth to the experience. The hotel's prime location in Tanjong Pagar made it convenient to explore the city's vibrant offerings. From the stylish decor to the impeccable service, every aspect of my stay reflected the epitome of sophistication. Signature Tanjong Pagar Hotel is undoubtedly a top choice for those seeking an elevated and memorable stay in Singapore.

Had a great stay for two nights. The customer service in the app is very responsive and helpful. The app check-in takes a bit of time but it works. The rooms are relatively small (narrow) but still comfortable for one person. Facilities and room were generally very clean. Rooms are not naturally ventilated, but you can run the AC to make the environment more pleasant (without AC they do tend to become a bit stuffy/humid). Overall had a great stay! :)

Had a private ‘double’ room. Even smaller than in the photos but that wasn’t the main issue. 1. The room was damp and smelled mouldy. I saw black spots all over the wall. When I messaged the service on WhatsApp, they said it was “wall discolouration” due to the chemicals they used. I didn’t feel safe breathing in mouldy air so I left 3-4 hours after checking in. 2. Check-in: the process itself is well designed but horribly explained. You can’t check in until you get to the hotel and connect to their wifi. The app you have to download for the digital key is really glitchy. 3. The service on WhatsApp was responsive. 4. Someone was playing bad music really loudly until 3am. The walls are so thin you can hear people’s conversations. It’s a cheap hostel “co-living” - I had to book because I needed a quiet place to work late but it wasn’t livable. Not sure how they’re able to charge more than $20 a night.

The room is small but clean and enough for a good sleep. The staff is helpful and the location is right next to China town with so many places to eat and shop. It could be better if there is 1 drinking water tap at the 3rd floor, so we don't have to go down 1 floor to get the water refilled.

ST Signature Tanjong Pagar offers a modern and budget-friendly stay experience with its smartly-designed private cabins and convenient location, making it an ideal choice for travelers exploring Singapore. The self-check-in process and stylish communal spaces add to the overall comfort and ease of stay.

  • 5/5 Faith Joan C. 7 months ago on Google
Pros: Good location, the rooms are clean and quite specious. Rates are on the higher side compared to other ST Signature hotels but that’s also because this one is in the CBD. Cons: The self check-in system is quite buggy. If you have issues signing in, I suggest asking the staff for help!

The location was really convenient for me - only a few minutes walk to bus stops and Tanjong Pagar MRT stop. The staff was super helpful as well, even when I locked myself out of my room by accident in the middle of the night. The room was neat with all the amenities I needed for this short business trip!

I enjoyed my stay very much! I arrived at the hotel to visit an education conference and work remotely at the same time. All the public transport was close and available. The food court Maxwell is in 3 minutes. The hotel is quiet, and the internet is fast, so I was able to make calls. There are also women-only showers, that are available and clean all the time. I am grateful that I found this place!

  • 4/5 MaryKay M. 7 months ago on Google
The location is AMAZING. The green metro line stops about 10/15min from the hotel. This is the line that goes to and from the airport. Brown metro line from Maxwel takes you to litteraly EVERYWHERE! And this stop is about 5/10min away. This was the one i used all the time 😊 There are many MANY restaurants around and the area in its self is just super clean and nice 😊👌 The maxwell food market is just down the street where you cam get EVERYTHING you want to eat 😊👌 My room was a one bedroom with no window. I had to climb up to get to my bed. Underneath should have like a hole so you could put stuff couse the room is super tiny. Yes you hear EVERYTHING around you. Use earplugs! I had a share bathroom and shower. The bathroom was always clean the showers..meh. Showers for the women is at the 2 floor. Male 3rd floor. Sucked going up and down but nothing i could not handle. Check in was super easy. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need. Even a machine with hot and cold water 😊 i had an amazing stay! Cant wait to come back! For me it was all about the location!!

I want to share my recent experience at ST Signature Tanjong Pagar from July 26th to 28th, 2023. If you're a solo traveler, this place is perfect. The room was cozy and just right for me after a day of exploring. The staff at the reception were really nice and helpful, making me feel welcome from the start. The hotel's location near the MRT station was super convenient for getting around the city. Even though I was a bit unsure about the shared bathroom, it turned out to be fine – clean and well-maintained. Looking back, I'll definitely choose ST Signature Tanjong Pagar again for my next visit. The comfy room, friendly staff, and easy access to transportation made my stay enjoyable, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

(Stayed in in Sept.) Really nice place, nice little room. Great location to a couple different MRT stations (less than 10 min walk), and Chinatown (which also has a station). - It's nice that it has a 2nd floor kitchen for socializing, and they also host a rooftop hangout + bar every day until midnight. - The check-in was a bit of a self-service hassle, but luckily we arrived when there was someone there (they seem to be gone late at night though) to help me do it after a long day of travel when I'm just fed up with administrative tasks. The door locks were using bluetooth on your phone to unlock, and if that failed, your phone gives you a code to unlock. This happened to myself and my neighbor. We were still able to get in, but they did not seem able to fix it when I asked. - It's a good thing there's a unisex restroom on the 2nd floor, because the 1st floor's men's toilet + shower smelled pretty bad. There's also female and male toilet and showers on the 2nd and 3rd floor. I've had to take the shower and go to the toilet on the 3rd floor when I'm wide awake and not just woken up in the middle of the night. Overall I'd still stay there again, just some caveats. Nothing's perfect on trips, though I do really wish they could "fix" the smelly 1F men's toilet/shower.

The hotel is very well located close to food center, bus stops & feels like its a safe area. Self check in did not work on my phone first but there was someone to assist (i assume the girl mentioned in many reviews that is “unfriendly”). She is definitely at the wrong place with her arrogant personality working in hospitality but whatsoever she solved my problem and assisted me with questions i had. Rooms are vey small but practical, price value top! The only thing that should be A LOT BETTER are the bathrooms. Very dirty / no aircon / broken locks and showers. I saw a thootpaste on the floor when i first showered there, 3 days later it was still there so probably not really have been cleaned in days. However for the price i paid, overall very good! Oh and i almost forgot, the guy at the reception in the morning is very friendly compared to mrs. grumpy.

it is a Poor Hostel!! the rate of 4 stars given is really deceiving !! it is good at outside only, it is not even liveable space! the room is so small that really caused Claustrophobic !! i was really shock and really unhappy this hostel treat people! we are humman!! not providing such not liveable space to a human being ! it is exactly like what Hongkong cabin is !!! the size of the room is really unacceptable and the design of the room is horrendous!!

Good for short stay and a very nice location near MRT. I have a quality of time during my stay until the guest next door blasted TV volume after midnight from Day 2. I could hear the noise from the next room very clearly. Very poor soundproof construction.

Horrible accommodation! Your communal shower rooms are unhygienic! This is a hostel, not a hotel. Please do not give blatant lies to potential guests. Horrible wall partitions, I can literally talk to my neighbours through the thin walls.

  • 4/5 Esther Mae L. 2 years ago on Google
Service :) Prompt resolution of an issue via the app chat, and they also called to apologize for a mistake made. Shared facilities :) Good maintenance. Water pressure is good and the toilets flush well. Dyson hairdryers are awesome. :( Aircon is freezing in the common corridor. Room :) Space is well-designed to maximise the space you have in a small room. :/ Height of clothes hooks is suited to Caucasians, but not Asians. Average height Asian woman would have to tiptoe to reach them. Steps for an upper bunk are also strangely large and unnatural for climbing. :( Although there is soundproofing on the walls, I can hear my neighbours' conversations. Sometimes word for word, if they have resonant voices.

The positive reviews are to be trusted. Great location near lots of delicious food, and a less than 5min walk to Tanjong Pagar mrt. Rooms are small given its prime location and price, but certainly cosy, comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, and help is always easily accessible with the chat service on their app. Check-in was fuss-free as well. Highly recommend.

10days SHN here, I pay for the meals but the stupid management didn’t provide drink for me even mineral water and the kettle. Is that mineral water very expensive in SG?

Fast wifi and cosy bedding But too cramped space and terrific soundproofing (although on booking they label as ‘soundproof’) Thus 1 or 2 night is ok, but long term stay is quite depressing, especially rooms with no window.

  • 3/5 Luis R C. 2 years ago on Google
This is not a bad review, but this hotel depends on your end goal. I wouldn't call this a 3 star hotel, but an improved hostel. It has a great location, lots of places to eat nearby and easy access to green lane MRT. The internet connection and work space does the work. If you want to stay here for a while the size might be too small, specially if you are getting the room with private bathroom. The private bathroom is extremely small, you are touching the curtain while taking a shower even if you don't want to. If you pay attention to details you'll find the bathroom synk is built up with fungus, there is a chair with a broken reclining pad and dirty sit. no bar fridge and the pillows are super high, so if you can't' comfortably sleep without a pillow or with a high pillow you are out of luck. Then you do have available shared areas with a kitchen and big sized fridge. If you want a room not only for sleeping but staying in some time, I don't recommend it as there are better options for the same price and still within CBD. Other than that, I liked the benefits of their location.

My first stay went without a hitch, once we managed to check in on the rather complicated app. Room 201 (cabin S with private bathroom) is small but well equipped, quiet and very clean. Only the sink in the bathroom showed sone chipped paint. On our second stay, the room had not been cleaned after the last guest had left; this was rectified immediately. Positive: Location, cleanliness, value for money compared to other hotels in the area Negative: Difficult to use app (it did not get better on the second stay a week later)

We had a great stay. Comfy beds, nice television, enough space. Clean sanitary, great shower. It's noise outside and you can hear the neighbours, so earplugs can come in handy. Location is also nice, food is everywhere. The bar on top is expensive for this budget hotel if you ask me.

Definitely exceeded expectation. The place is very clean. The staff are very helpful and convincing, and friendly. The temperature in the room is just nice, not too hot or too cold. Once again, the place is very clean. Restrooms and bathrooms are clean. Towel is provided. Value for money 💯

Highly recommend staying here! Value for money compared to other places that we saw in Singapore is excellent. Self-check in process is great, but pretty much always someone on reception to help who are very friendly. Locker storage for bags on check-in/ out days. Even though the rooms are compact they are comfortable and well equipped, even with a TV that you can use Netflix on. The shared kitchen and bathrooms area really good, there is a drinking water dispenser, fridge, cooking facilities, iron, hairdryers etc. Everywhere is kept very clean, smells fresh and great A/C. Rooftop bar is very nice too!

The hotel is very small. No amenities need to go different level to get drinks. No one to attend at the lobby. Need to do through apps. The bed is ok but need to climb up three steps. 6 hours for $114.00 is reasonable. But I think will not return back again 😕

The room is quite small but it has everything you need. It’s good to have a private space even though it’s small. The common areas are well equipped. The toilets and shower are clean. The kitchen is clean as well. The location is also so great, close to China town and Maxwell food Center 😊😊

Amazing location, 5 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar station. Great neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and food courts nearby. Shared bathrooms were clean and modern with amenities available and even a Dyson hairdryer. Common kitchen available and water dispenser to fill your bottle. Wifi was good and bed was comfy overall. Check-in process can be frustrating as it's done online via the app and if you're not so tech friendly it can be a true struggle as majority of the day and night there's no staff available. Getting into the room was a problem as well since I couldn't open the room in any way despite trying all the strategies the staff suggested me via chat. Kitchen appeared dirty at times but that's because of messy guests. I truly appreciated the fridge+freezer but the smell coming out of it was simply revolting; could never store my food in there. My room was facing the hotel across the street which had speakers playing music 24/7 and I kept waking up at night because of it. Room was small but I still managed however could have been cleaner; didn't appreciate the dirty tissue found under my mattress. Curtains were stained and gross. The handrail next to the bed was wobbly and unsteady. Getting into bed can be a real challenge; you have to step on top of the desk and then keep climbing up; not a good option for everyone.

ST Signature Tanjong Pagar is a very comfortable hotel to stay over. I would rate 10/10 for this comfy hotel. Firstly customer service is at its best. All the staffs there were very kind and helpful with me during my stay. The check in process was very smooth and I didn’t even have to wait there in a long Que. Not forgetting about the room. The room was super comfortable and it’s very spacious and the environment there was so cozy. It was so relaxing in the room as the bed and pillow are very soft and convenient to sleep. I had a very good sleepover during my stay at this hotel. I loved my stay at St Signature Tanjong Pagar.
