The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location. Otherwise than this, EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS especially the FRONT DESK. Her name is Lin, she is tall and slim, not a Chinese. She is extremely rude and unprofessional! I arrived at the hotel at 2.44PM, she refused to let me check in and said the check in time was 3PM. I waited at the lobby until 2.53PM and she asked me to give her my booking number, I replied β€œI thought you said the check in time is 3PM?” Then she said β€œYou can continue waiting if you want.” 🀬🀬🀬The room is VERY DIRTY, stains on the bed sheet, broken shower door, hairs on the blanket and they don’t provide hair dryer!!! πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

100% not recommand to stay in this motel and no review star can be given on this motel. Room is dirty, old, not clean and bad smell. The environment very noisy and Sound insulation veey bad. Unable to take a rest and sleep It's just mental torture. if it is possible i will suggest to their Government not going to renew on their motel license any more because it is really not suitablle to let people to stay and sleep.

As others have stated, the only good thing about this hotel is the location, everything else pretty much sucks. The room is smelly and filthy, so if you're really determined to stay there, bring cleaning material lol. The bathroom was awfully dirty, with hairs all around. The toilet was dirty as well, thankgod I brought wipes, I had to clean the bathroom myself! Even the walls were dirty. The room is falling apart, the TV doesn't work, etc... you get the idea.

This is the worst experience of my life In order to find the hotel closest to the tourist street, I found the inn at temple street hotel on the Internet. When we checked in the hotel, the counter staff was very unfriendly, spoke loudly, and the service attitude was particularly bad I booked a superior room...I took a photo to show you the situation in the room...It seems that the room has not been lived in for a long time, it is already very dirty, and the equipment inside is broken... I think if you stay once, you won't come back for the second time! Don't live in an uncomfortable hotel just for convenience...Life is all about being comfortable!

First of all, the location is amazing, and the staff is helpful and ready to accommodate our needs. However, we experienced some difficulties during our stay. We had to change our room twice. The first room we checked into wasn't very clean, and we were greeted by roaches. In the second room, the AC was leaking right above our bed. The third room was better, but the tub was clogged, and we ended up standing in a puddle while taking a shower. The overall amenities and cleanliness of this place could be greatly improved. I understand it is an old building, but the whole place smells very moldy. Despite the excellent location and helpful staff, this could have been a more pleasant experience if the overall hygiene of the place was improved.

Great location in the centre of Chinatown. The room was very small. But one stays here only for sleeping. A little bit run down but has the flair of old Chinatown. Bed ok, bathroom ok. Pricing for the location and standard is just ok.

The room was disgusting. Filthy. Black hair everywhere. Check out the hideous pile of hair in the shower drain! Mould, grime in the bathroom. Has not been cleaned in a long time - absolutely no excuse for this. Sheets stained and thin. Uncomfortable pillows. Stairs only. No service whatsoever. Very unfriendly response when I asked for a late check out. Dated interior is fine for the price, but broken items not okay. Shower head didn't stay in place, cracked toilet bowl and sink.

Been to many hotels for staycation in Singapore, this hotel have very poor housekeeping. From stained pillowcase that looked like splitted red wine to toilet bowl not cleaned with urine stains. Worse still, the phone connected to the wall, is not able to dial. Have to walk down to the reception counter from level 3 to level 1 to inform the issues. There's no lift anyway. Many hotel that charges at this price gives a welcoming atmosphere. However, this is even worse than a hotel. Last, aircon has a moldy smell, torturing stay. My partner described as the worse hotel in Singapore. 1 thing good, I'd said, the receptionist is polite.

One of the worst stayca ever throughout all of my staycations in my life. If you want to seek for a place to rest at night, I suggest you can skip this place. We booked this place for 7 days from 18September to 24th September, tried our very best to stay here but left on 22th September (which is today) I booked another place to rest immediately after we checked out. I am a deep sleeper. Thus normally I will not get affected by noise easily. However, I woke up EVERYNIGHT for straight 5 days due to the room door and noises caused by the neighbour. After awake, the conversation between them can be heard quite clearly. Imagine this is a DAILY routine throughout the 5 day stays. Everyday around 1am you will be awake by noise(room door opening/closing, toilet door closing) and 6-7am u will get shocked by the noises as well when u are sleeping To be fair, the neighbour are quite loud but normal conversations should not be heard clearly at all and its obvious that they are not slamming the room door and trust me, when the room door closes, the noise is loud enough to wake you up with shock. The sound proof/barrier level is completely ZERO. For straight 5 days we did not get a good rest thus we really gave up the remaining 2days and just left the place. HEADACHE. Despite all the disappointment, there are good pointers. 2 Star given only for the LOCATION and SERVICE. All the staffs there are very friendly, they will greet and acknowledge you everytime you enter or exit out of the premise. The cleaner auntie are very hardworking and friendly as well. Location is good if you need food. Its surrounded by shophouses that has many food options.

Very dirty. Hairs on the carpet, bed & in the shower. Curtains stained. Towels & foot towels torn. Shower curtain repaired by sticky tape! Room very small & toilet/ bathroom uncomfortably too close to the bed. Good location & the staff are helpful but not somewhere we’d stay again.

I would like to say the rooms are not so clean and find lots of hairs on the floor and the basin have hairs on it which I not sure who clean the rooms , it was at level 3 and also and the food delivery was so long which I waited for like 10min . The rooms are quite big but it was not a new hotel . The rooms of the smell can smell the food also and it was strong food smell . I would appreciate if the rooms can improve by cleanliness and neat and also those housekeeping and front desk are not so friendly and they did not greet or smile when I walks pass by on Wednesday

Singapore airline have a 15 hours overlay in Singapore so we decided to book a room in Chinatown for the night and also to check out local food. The hotel is older and not updated, small bathroom, it take a while for the ac to cool the room and minimize the musty smell, the room is a little too tight for us. The hotel is conveniently located a few steps from Chinatown complex and night life. Thank you Ms. Lin for the 5 star service of going above and beyond helping to get taxi in early Saturday morning so we get to airport on time for our flight. Very appreciated.

Clean sheets but long hairs found, carpet could use a cleaning, rotten food leftover in fridge from previous guest. Tiny shower. But they did give free toothbrush, shampoo and body lotion. And a shaving kit that I didn't use. The shower wasn't very good either as water only came out 1/4th.it was warm tho no problem there. Staff was friendly

Firstly, the location is just amazing. Right in the middle of Chinatown, 3-minute walk from MRT station, I loved walking around the neighborhood over-and-over. Just for this reason, I might come here again. Beyond that, the room itself was very clean and organized. That said, the room was pretty small and it was a bit pricey for the size. Moreover I got a room on the top floor, and there is no elevator so if you have a big suitcase like I did, it is very hard (you have to do it yourself, no paid help). However the staff was understanding and allowed me to keep my large suitcase for the entire duration of my stay (3 days) below encouraging me to grab what I needed. The Wi-Fi was good, and the staff allowed me to stay for a while after I had checked out while I was killing time to get taxi.

Loacation wise is really good as Chinatown is a very popular and lively place to go if you are visiting SG! BUT if you are a person who need a peaceful and quiet sleep no matter in day or night this hotel is 100% NO as there is totally no sound proof here at all, you can hear all the conversation from your neighbours and even next door or opposite side! Even when they close the room door is a big SLAM! despite they just close normally, whole night I already wakeup 3 times during the night, until morning 6am.. couldn't have a good sleep in peace at all! Super tired and noise even from the vehicles downstairs ... this proof that how bad the sound proof is and by right we had a booking to stay for 1 week and today is the 5th day, we have to check out early because we can't stand anymore of this and we need to booked another hotel too because of this.. really sad and bad experience from this hotel and the room are dusty and there is a old furniture smell.. but we didn't ask for any refund or whatsoever as the staff are friendly also the cleaner aunty there are friendly too to greet u when they see u and chat with you thanks them but the hotel is a 100% NO from us from now on and will never booked again next time!

Ah, mixed review; great location! Singapore is very expensive so hey, you get what you pay for : ) First room that they offered us was too small but reception were very accommodating and moved us to a larger room. The sheets were clean, there was coffee and tea in the room. A small deposit was charged for use of a hair dryer. Shower was ok, plenty of hot water but really needed a shower curtain. The hotel is right on the doorstep of China town. β€œBig Bus” routes hop on hop off is good value but there are cheaper alternatives. Two routes and little India on one of the bus routes is well worth a visit we ate at a street side restaurant and it rained heavy, great night though.

Typical absurd neglect by Linnaeus' greediest irresponsible nicety and moderation plundering, overpopulated, unaffordable place creators. Its like a dirty old $10 PI room. Moldy, stinky, itchy, unhealthy place. No windows or daylight. Blood &other stains on sheets. Useless pillow. Even old French colonial remnants of early westernization, standardization, domestication, colonialism, globalism, communism endless growth economics of flawed western emulation in corrupt self righteous leftist communist fascist oppressive govt capitalizing upon new/poor/lesser minds 60yr plundered, forced poverty, and stagnated Hanoi were better. Self righteousness boasting dictatorial one party nati9nalust socialist communist fascist self enriching leftist politicians should do a better job regulating even MORE, not just China USSR style socialist public housing, making better quality of life for all bc all in ex euro created from wilderness nothingness Sing apore are western emulating foreigners now. Also none of the post 1965 corruption mass immigration eco/green save~the~planet frauds forcing western consumption of supply privilege for developing world goods being forced here.

The price is great I stayed from Dec 4-7 and paid 238SGD total for the stay which is already cheap considering the location. The hotel is showing its age and there is no lift so it would be difficult to bring up your luggage if its heavy or you have a lot. For a basic hotel to simply sleep and take a shower before you start a whole day packed of touring this is already good. I would recommend it only for solo travellers or couples and not for a family with kids. Amenties are basic and their wifi is kinda slow and has no signal at certain spots at least in my room (Rm 312). I would stay again though if I want a budget hotel that is very close to public transport.

Little noise and should have water by yourself, because don't have water in the room. πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ And, blanket is very short. However, air conditioner is very cold. Not far from Train

The room smelt old and dusty. We had to carry our own heavy bags up the stairs with no assistance offered from staff. Bathroom shower was broken, the shower head wasn’t hanging on the rail, additionally the sink was blocked. Toilet was in an awkward position as we found it difficult to use it with barely any space. Location was great but overall wasn’t a pleasant experience.

My first time one star comments will distribute to this hotel No matter the destination is nice or not, do not stay this hotel. Rather spend a small value to stay better hotel is the best choice.

sadly one of the dirty and falling apart places, the staff are great and very helpful and kind, but other than that, no elevator and it needs a lot of cleaning. the area also is dirty, just in front you can see rats, lizzards and cockroaches at night

  • 4/5 talib z. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms should be cleaned on regular basis, before asking from them, staff is so kind and helpful. Charges were too high while booking online, we paid almost 95 usd per night however upon checking in we got to know the actual amount was 70 S$ for 7 nights or more, we almost paid extra S$64 per night because of online booking. The room rent we paid per night was S$134 instead of S$ 70.

Didn't like it, the room is very smelly. TV channel not working. Fortunately there was a hdmi so I could connect something else to watch. No parking. No lift had to climb, so not recommended for those with old people in their group. There is mini fridge in the room. Blanket is small. One good thing is the aircorn is individual unit, so I could control the temperature.

  • 1/5 Jeremy C. 1 year ago on Google
Good location. But poor customer service with bad attitude by Chinese staff. But there's a Malay staff that have good customer service with good attitude, as she offered to heat up my food when she knew that my food was cold as there was a delay in my food delivery.

  • 4/5 Lynn L. 1 year ago on Google
The location is amazingly strategic whereby the Chinatown MRT Station is right behind it. Nearby is filled with all the eateries and souvenir shops, and even one shop selling China stuff whereby you can buy 3 bottle drinks for just $2. The room itself is smaller but it is a common thing in Singapore where they have scarce land. The room is compact with what have equipped, the bed is not too soft nor too hard, overall I'm satisfied with what I had. Despite located at a very busy place, they have their security done well whereby after certain hours at night, you can only access to the premise with your hotel card and not any random person can just bump into the premise.

A budget hotel right in the center of Town. Good enough for a budget hotel. Service can be improved. Our room was neat and tidy. Can be noisy outside because of the crowd.

Stayed for 28 days during the Lunar new year 2019. Nice place with good staff. Situated in the heart of Chinatown so no issue with food and shops. Also walking distance to MRT station. Rooms are adequate in size, old looking and no lift available so you have to take your luggage upstairsΒ using the staircase.

  • 5/5 Ed Robinson Lacson R. 2 years ago on Google
The room is cozy enough for an overnight stay, with some kind of elemental vintage vibes. The front desk staff and the housekeeping attendants all portrayed very good service, specifically the Indian lady who really made sure that the room was alright. The location is a plus as well.

Booked this room from Agoda and from the picture it looks good. Upon checking in the room was so dusty so i went to ask for a room changed and they offer me another room. However, the room is still dirty with stains and hair on the bed as shown.
