Like this place better than the one in tampines, food was served fast and no need to queue up. Had no problems arriving here as it was near a main road so I took a bus here from jewel. The nasi briyani was nice! Not dry at all. The shop is sourrounded by landed proterty and is very quiet which is good. Also the one in tampines is too noisy

Was recommended for their nasi lemak(ikr) Location is easier by public as you get off at stop (84029) or (84019) and walk 300-400m through the pathway within the landed estate. Very quiet neighbourhood, less customer so you can take your time to sip your teh tarik. That's a plus point. Nasi lemak is comparable to Crave as they're using basmati rice. Tell them if you need half serving of rice as the portion size is quite big. Similar to Crave their rice is not mixed properly with coconut milk (santan) as there are some lumps of rice with santan Runny yolks and crispy clean anchovies. The sambal - not as sweet as Crave and generously supplied on your plate. Teh tarik is light and milky which is perfect to my palate. Damage - $4.30 for nasi lemak, $1.30 for teh tarik. Will return if I am nearby and famished

I've always preferred this outlet. Far compared to the one in Tampines. Clean, fast and friendly staffs. And its quieter. My 2nd choice for Briyani. Food: 8/10 Cost: 8/10 Place: 8/10

Agree with the rest of the reviews about the prata. It's good and value for money. But today I decided to try the mee goreng merah and it was a total rip off at $5.50 as it was nothing but a full pack (take away) of nothing but noodles with a few miserly potatoes and nothing else. But oh yes, it was very red .. Very dissapointed as I have not had mee goreng for a long time and this was not what I expected. Again it was a total rip off.

Probably one of better nasi Briyani around. Located in a quiet estate, but people around the neighbourhood knows about this place, come and makan here. I am here to tabao chicken Briyani and mutton Briyani. Never fails having their Briyani here.

I enjoy eating their biryani (fried chicken) accompanied by their nice teh tarik. A match made in Saffrons only. B) I don't usually eat biryani, all because of the spice that are in it. So I will be searching high and low for these spice landmines. But Saffrons' biryani has NO landmines waiting for me. Will visit them again when I am in Tampines.

It is very nice and clean place. Well kept and maintain. The food is nice and the briyani rice is so generous. Alot of rice for a person to eat unless eat by men. Well done

Ordered the prata, it was average. The briyani is good with a generous amount of rice however meat portion could be bigger. Clean and well ventilated although no A/C, it doesn't feel hot.

Tasty comfort food in the area, that is always consistently amazing. Go for their signature chicken briyani or their mysore mutton!

It's definitely nice.. But also definitely not the nicest in my opinion... I think where they fail is the meat. The meat not as tender as Bismilla or Mr. Briyani or even the tekka market one. Like they never cook it as long as the others. Rice, I think can't compare to Mr. Briyani. But I really like Mr. Briyani rice. Price wise.. Definitely a lot cheaper than Mr. Briyani and Bismilla. I think if u go for rice.. This is better than tekka.. If you prefer the meat, tekka one better.

Did a takeaway Fried Chicken Briyani. Found the chicken saltier. And the rice lacking. Comparison was made to the same dish (takeaway) at Saffron's Tampines outlet. Pluses are the outlet's newly renovated look and layout. Plus it's closer to me in Bedok.

Consistently good. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The place is well ventilated so your clothes don’t smell like you just came from an eatery.

    a) Great location, in terms of being hidden and sort of not crowded like other food centres can be b) went at lunch time. Food was not hot. Not even warm. c) I was given "Mysore mutton" which was mutton masala. It's not bad but it's not fantastic either. The food being not even close to being warm, is disappointing.

  • 5/5 Geraldine M. 2 years ago on Google
I guess they truly are possibly the best briyani in Singapore 😍😍😍

  • 5/5 Pied P. 10 months ago on Google
This has always been a secret gem for the Siglapians. Classic prata at its finest. Crisp on the outside fluffy on the inside and the flavourful fish curry goes with it like milk and honey. That's just the prata. If you're a fan of Indian Rojak, this is another hot fave for the regulars here. Absolutely delicious puffed fritters with interesting stuffing and the dipping peanut sauce is so so good. I can't stop here because there's more to tell. The nasi lemak served in the mornings are fantastic and so are their briyanis (the bitesized chunks of boneless mutton will melt in your mouth). Best teh halia, teh Tarik, masala teh in the East!

  • 4/5 A l. 5 months ago on Google
Food was decent but prices are above average. If you come after midnight, it feels like they don’t want to serve you. Portion of rice was huge but ingredients, not so for the price. Would expect a little more ingredients even after adding Daging for $3.

I used to love the food at Saffron’s Swan Lake Ave. Especially the Briani and Mee Goreng. But since last week, they have quickly deteriorated so much, I have to stop patronising them. The mee goreng I bought last week was not fully cooked and totally missing vegetables especially potatoes. Today I decided to give them another chance. It was terrible! Instead of mee goreng, they prepared Maggie Mee Goreng and again missing the potatoes. That’s it from me, Saffron.

Came here for its thosai masala. Never disappoint at every visit. Pair it with iced teh halia(ginger).

  • 3/5 Li Y. 6 months ago on Google
Masala Thosai and Maggi Goreng is good. Not exceptional. The ice teh halia is terrible 🥲, taste like milk in water.. Not sweet and no teh halia taste 🥲 Sad. Ice horlick is ok.

A popular place for Prata and Briyani. It also has Indian Rojak and Thosai. The teh tarik and coffee are excellent 👌

  • 5/5 Nick C. 7 months ago on Google
Tucked away from the main road, it's a tru gem, thou not a secret from the residents around. Saffron's offers catering services too. A clear representative of good Indian cuisine. Warning to all - their portions are huge, definitely till yr hearts content.

Chanced upon this prata place while waiting for my pet. Lovely prata in a peaceful landed estate on a quiet morning, what a great way to start the week 😌 What made this place so much better — was the service. I was dining alone so no bodies to guard my food while I went to the counter briefly for a tissue and lo behold, birds attacked my food. Thought I was done for breakfast there and then until a kind staff reassured me and brought me a new set of my order 🥹🥹🥹

Had Mee and Bee Hoon Goreng Seafood after my intervals training. Anything not too heavy (eg Briyani) as my last meal was around 2pm, was fine for me. Food was nice, not too spicy. Had 100plus to replenish the lost fluids and Bru coffee to top it all

Should try there biriyani. Chicken/ Mutton biriyani would coust around 9 SGD. Good portion. Place is clean. And it gets bit crowded around lunch time. personal opinion: prices could be a bit lower.

  • 4/5 Liza M. 1 year ago on Google
Briyani mutton portion is not consistent. The mutton very much lesser yesterday as compared to a week ago. I think it depends on the server. One of the best briyani I've tasted. It could be improved if the portion was consistent. For a $9 definitely should be more mutton as most of the time there's a big bone attached to the mutton which made the portion of the meat even lesser.

  • 5/5 Lokman H. 1 year ago on Google
Small little eatery offering Indian-Muslim food. Typical mamak fare like Indian Rojak, Biryani, Mee Goreng, Prata and teh tarik. Food is very good, portion size is more than adequate (in my opinion) and there's free parking off street. If you're in the East Coast/Siglap area and need some homely mamak food at affordable prices then make your way to this place. It's a little hidden and out of the way but it's worth the effort to find it.

  • 5/5 Frances O. 1 year ago on Google
Love this prata and briyani place. Prata is crispy and not oily, look out for the kosong prata with its secret recipe chilli... Definitely beat the neighbouring prata houses which are highly raved about.

  • 5/5 S/H 1 year ago on Google
Very good briyani and prata. Clean and good quality food + drink. Always on the lookout for good briyani and we were so pleased to find this place. A little out of the way and parking may not be easy, but we will come again!

  • 5/5 ian z. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely my favourite briyani in the area. Well marinated chicken thigh (masala) with a wonderful fluffy rice. I also had sardine (chilli) and shared some Indian rojak. Can’t rate this place high enough. If you are in the area and crave for briyani Saffrons is recommended!

One of the best briyani spots in the country. Generous serving sizes and lots of options for additions or entire other dishes. Very fast service.

  • 4/5 Patrick N. 5 years ago on Google
Briyani is light and not oily. Aside from the usual chicken and mutton combinations. The sardine sambal one is great too. Other accompaniments are equally well portioned. And easy to pair with any meal. The Friday Dum Bee Hoon Briyani is a must try. But you need to be quick. Sells off fast. Beverages are well received too.

  • 1/5 Colin H. 4 years ago on Google
I don't think this place deserves the rad reviews. The Briyani was okay, not as impressive and reasonable as these at Tekka Market. For the price, $7, there was way too little meat and flavor! There's also GST here and it's not stated clearly.

  • 5/5 Aj N. 4 years ago on Google
One of the best joints that serve prata in the country! Prata isn't too oily, texture was amazing. The best was the cheese prata. The cheese was infused very well in the prata and tasted almost like a pizza! Fish curry was really good. Only bad thing is they only serve prata in the morning. Staff was very friendly and courteous as well. Service was very fast. Definitely coming here again!
