This is one of the entry point to the trails and bridges along Southern Ridges near to Harbor Front MRT. The trail covers an elevation of 70 metres (or the equivalent of a 24-storey building) with concrete steps and gentle slopes. At the top of the trail you will arrive at Mount Faber where you can ride a cable car towards Sentosa or explore the rest of Southern Ridges.

The Marang trail starts from the car park next to Harbourfront MRT and continues to Mount Faber Park. The trail is not long and takes around 15-20 minutes for someone of average fitness. The start is an uphill climb, hence can be a little strenuous. Not suitable if you have mobility issues

greenery scenery to get away from the city... Relax n easy walk lead from / to harbourfront MRT to the cable car center... Try it to get away from the city... Not for the weak legs as it consists of all steps (hundred of them we reckon)...

There is no road sign from outside of the road to show you about this trail, and there is a construction going on near the entrance as well. So you may miss if if not careful enough. The trail is cover with mainly steps to reach Mount Faber in about 15 min or so. Still it is a good place to go if you never been before.

I use the trail part of my Southern Ridges run. The stairs are a great hard workout at the beginning of the run. Don't like that not all stairs are not lit up properly at night. So you have to walk them down and can't finish your run if you run at night.

A scenic place to track! I have seen “ex-pats” in exercise gears walking up and down the trail while talking business over on the phone. Once in a while, one may chance upon some squirrels 🐿 🐿 along the tracks. I saw some on the big trees 🌳🌳. Along the tracks, one can also find heart-shaped red seeds from the Red Bead Trees, notably along the path near the entrance of Marang Trail at Teluk Blangah Road.

It is a nice mostly green canopied trails from Hortpark to Vivo City. So the amount of time you want to dedicate is absolutely up to you. The shortest would be slightly under 1 hour or you can spend half a day thru the parks. It is comfortable even during midday because the air is cooler under the canopy.

This is the closest entry point to Mt. Faber from Harbourfront MRT (exit D). It rather scenic but it is involve quite a lot of staircase. The path is well maintain, but could be a bit slippery after the rain.

Nice trail from Seah Im hawker centre to mount Faber peak. It's a pretty high climb for those who has never attempted it. Great workout for anyone who is game. You can see some majestic trees along the way.

Peaceful. Highest point is 84 meters above sea level. Nothing that resembles a trail, more like a stroll.

One of the hiking trails on Southern Ridges. Starting from Marang Trail, you can walk to Kent Ridge Park via Mount Faber Park, Henderson Waves, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Earth Trail & Forest Walk, Alexandra Arch, Hort Park, and Canopy Walk. Walking time: 2.5 hrs (approx., not including any walk breaks) The nearest MRT stations: Harbour Front & Kent Ridge (NUS)

Tried is trail after dark downhill. Challenging with almost continuous steps downhill. Starting from the top is a well lighted path but soon was in total darkness. Had head strapped torch with me on and can see well. No problem. Being a person with parkinson, it became a big challenge from the almost continuous down slope steps. Had a light fall due to it but managed to get up and continue. By the time I reached main road level at Telok Blangah, had problem to walk decently and get into the under ground subway station. The stairs became a nightmare and need to use both hands to hold onto the handrail. Recovered after getting into the train and rested and could walk again.

The Marang trail will bring you from the Mount Faber down to the classic city noise. A very nice designed trail Leads you downhill via the hilly forest in a comfortable walk. You exit the hill at the Harbour front Bus interchange, MRT, Vivo City, and also near the monorail to Sentosa. Back to the real world!

Great hiking trail across the Southern Ridges! From Harbourfront to Kent Ridge MRT takes about 3.5 hours and takes you from Harbour front (Vivocity) up Mount Faber, across “Henderson waves" through Telok Blangah hill park, past the “Interlace Condo" on Alexandra road through Hort park and right up the next hill to the Bukit Chendu war Memorial in Kent Ridge park.

The hiking trail connecting Mount Faber Park to Harbourfront / Vivocity. From Mount Faber Cable Car, just follow the direction pointing to Harbourfront MRT. The Marang Trail is actually consisted of flight of stairs which at some point got steep.

View at the top is worth it but you climb a lot of stairs very quickly plus there's a bunch of other ways to get to to the top so if you don't want to climb a bunch of stairs go a different way

This is a rather straightforward trail especially leading to HarbourFront/ VivoCity from Faber Peak. It’s downhill and has nicely secured stairs/steps. There is only one way down (diverges and merges other split paths eventually) so it’s easy to follow. Good to have a torch for the evenings while using the trail.

A short trail leading from Vivo to Mt. Faber. Great for an after dinner stroll up Mt. Faber for the sunset view. Or take a leisure walk in the evening, starting from Vivo, all the way to Henderson wave and back for dinner after the viewing the sunset at any of the great locations.

Climbing up the stairs was exhausting, took me awhile to catch back my breath but the sight up at Mt Faber is all worth it... take Henderson Waves bridge, d view from there is mesmerising.

A very beautiful rain forest in the heart of the busy city. Cool and shady, I think only can be found in the Garden City, Singapore.
