Great place if you're looking for a challenge with your bicycle. Do remmeber to rent a better bike at the jetty area if you're heading to the bike park. I recommend you to visit the German Girl shrine when on the way to the bike park. You can read up the history of the shrine online if you're interested! Please take note that there are different color codes that represent the complexity and difficulty of the tracks. I have quote the ones that is reflected in nparks website as below: - Blue Square: for beginners; trail has steep slopes as well as narrow tracks with poor traction - Black Diamond: for middle-skilled cyclists; consists of long step climbs, drop-offs and challenging obstacles - Double Black Diamond: for the pros; these trails have a variety of extra steep climbs and drop-offs, sharp corners and tricky obstacles Take care and ride safe!

Almost feel like not in Singapore but it is lovely outdoor recreation island. A breath of fresh air. Easy access by boat from Changi Village ferry terminal. $4 each way. Bicycle rental and foods are easy to obtained. We did explore the island by bicycle in fews hrs. Relaxing and extremely satisfying.

Awesome place to bring your bike. Boat ride costs $4 per person and $6 with a bicycle. Boats will depart only when there are 12 persons. Black Diamond trails not recommended for new or beginner cyclists. Plenty of easy trails like the blue squared ones. Make sure to ride within your skill limits, stay hydrated and wear a helmet!

The quiet part of Ubin. Mainly for mountain bikers, but we found we can hike and cycle on many of the trails just outside the "real mountain bike" trails. View of Punggol (Serangoon Dam) from the shores. You may encounter wild boars too- if you are adventurous and try the less beaten paths. We saw a very beautiful butterfly near the shores!

Great place if you love to bike. Keep some water with you and don't carry too much stuff if you plan on going on this trail. Decent bikes are available at a cheap price of around $25-$30 per day close to the ferry drop off point... Recommended to bring your own food and water though. Some seafood restaurants are there near the bike rental shops (Central), but there are very few rest stops in the rest of the island. A very adventurous visit overall..

Reasonably good trails as far as they come here in Singapore. Do ride the easy trails exploring the rest of the island as well. While those rustic places remain!

Great MTB trail on the small island of Palau Ubin! Blue trails are good for beginners, black and double black for intermediate to advanced, very good place to practice and improve your skills. If attempting black+ be ready for climbs, technical sections, rocks, roots, etc. This trail has a bit of everything and is a great way to spend half a day to full day. The Island itself is very rural, so make sure to bring extra water and snacks, there are a few shops on the island as well. Can take bumboat from Changi terminal for $4 ($6 with bike) no set schedule they just leave when full. All in all great experience and highly recommend even if not a MTBer!

Really nice island to ride around. The bike park is free to enter and has some nice trail, although non of them have any flow. All the trails, even the few double black diamond routes are pretty easy technically for any one with even moderate down hill experience. Although it seams like the route is the wrong way round as majority of interesting features are on the climbs. Overall would highly recommend renting a bike (the one in the photo cost $20 for the day) and getting out and enjoying the island and bike park.

The place is beautiful and simple awesome. A good place to spend a day with family and friends. Quiet, peaceful and rustic place to be away from the busy and crowded city life. But bicycles here not that good. Suggest to visit on a clear day as there are few or no shelters or resting places within the area. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the bike park from the main village.

Inside the Pulau Ubin hasn’t any public transportations. Only bicycles you have to get a rent bike for travel. One bike have around $5 to $10.

The road was very narrow but nonetheless thrilling

Blue Square is mostly for newbies who want to experience mountain biking, and it's a tad harder than being at Coney Island experiencing the rustic paths. There are bumpy bits, flow trails, some technical, a decently steep climb and a really fast flow trails at the end. Good for beginners However like the previous reviewers of Ketam the Black Diamond and Double Black diamond ramps it up a notch and Is not for beginners, firstly you have to experience a 1m drop, which if you have no experience can be really hard. I would suggest completing Blue Square on Chestnut Mountain Bike Park first before attempting black diamond.

Best place to visit if you love nature and cycling

First mountain biking experience here and it was fun! The blue trail is extremely doable even if it’s your first time trying out mountain biking. There are some steep slopes and uneven patches but all in all if you’re comfortable with bikes, and you have a mountain bike it’s not difficult. Tiring, but not impossible. Most of the route is either muddy or grassy with only a few rocks so even if you fall you might get cut but you shouldn’t be hurt too badly. Just make sure to get a mountain bike (you can easily rent one from any of the island bike stores) before attempting. It’s muddy so be prepared to get dirty. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views at parts of the trail and you’ll pass the German girl shrine too so it’s pretty worth.

Pulau Ubin in itself is a wonder of Nature in the jurisdiction of a typical metropolitan city, Singapore. Ketam Mountain Bike park is an amazing off-road path for biking at Pulau Ubin. The key is not to go just after the rain or during the rain. The path looks like two small lines to follow in the jungle. It's total off-road biking path with enchanting jungle views around. There are some harmless animals around like Monkey (very rare) and pigs. One should go only with a good bike there and should have a good control on bike. Rookie bikers shall refrain themselves to go on this.

Lot of construction going on here at the moment. Took some trails and end up near to bulldozers. Once construction dine this place should be splendid for mtb rides

When they say this isn't for beginners, they mean it.I had never ridden a mountain bike before and I only made it to about mid section of B06 before turning back. Great experience though! Will definitely be back here again.

  • 4/5 Jonathan N. 4 years ago on Google
Not for beginners! Even the easiest blue square trail is more difficult than T15 and Coney island. Highly suggest beginners to be cautious. For riders looking for a challenge, you will have a great time!

Nice trail for cycling in Singapore

  • 5/5 Muhammad Nazir Abdul H. 4 years ago on Google
Starts off with Blue Square trails but quickly escalates into Black Diamond and Double Black... Not for beginners! The best thing is, NO HIKERS INSIDE THE TRAIL!

  • 4/5 Leonard T. 4 years ago on Google
Pretty good trail. Like all trails in Singapore, they are short and compact.

Lots of geenery. The quarry at Ubin is v beautiful. Go to Puaka Hill the highest point at Ubin. It's LOVELY! However, due to the slope n uneven ground, it is not suitable for the elderly and young children.

The hill so steep I had to piggy bag her up the hill. So lazy la she.

  • 4/5 Norbert E. 3 years ago on Google
Usually it has easy bike trails but there are some difficult parts too. Took couple of hours to go along. I didn't really like the island itself as it looked very untended when we arrived after leaving Singapore on a boat. Maybe If you don't expect too much you'll like it.

Loved this get away from Singapore for am afternoon. Got a bike and rode out here from Pulau Ubin's dock area. Lots of wildlife, nature, trails, and bike trails of varying difficulty. Fun for groups or on your own.

I loved my time here. I hope that they can preserve the nature on this island. This is a really great place to visit. You can be near the busy city life of Singapore, but feel like you are in another world.

(Translated by Google) Nice mountain bike ride in the forest, quiet, little frequented (I did not meet anyone on the way for 2 hours).

We had more challenging blue routes elsewhere. Singapore is not like Sydney with plenty MTB tracks

  • 2/5 Csaba A. 4 years ago on Google
Be prepared to push your bike quarter of the way. The track is already pretty bad but with the awful bikes you rent on the island it's outright ridiculous. Also lot of mosquitoes.

  • 4/5 Canned G. 3 years ago on Google
Good for east riders who arent able to travel to the other trails like bukit timah. However pls do wear a helmet and shoes especially when attempting the trails there. Ive seen way to many people try even the black diamonds without any protective gear.

the bike parks are well maintained but pine road might be a bit too difficult for intermediate even though it's rated blue

  • 4/5 Sam P. 4 years ago on Google
Nice mountain bike trails. The blue square tracks are very easy for beginners - not many rocks, etc. But don't be fooled into thinking the trails are all easy. The black single diamond are a significant step up in difficulty (in my experience) - much steeper and more rocky. YMMV There's also a wide trail uphill (near the black tracks) that is easy to follow if you are less confident. They were useful for me :)

👍👍 It is a absolutely must visit shrine for locals and tourist that is located in pulau ubin if you're visiting the island.
