In short: nice little gay bar, but prices for soft are unreasonable. Okay, first the positive sides. This is a cost and cute little bar that overlooks the lively Chinatown. It's got outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor seating are on a nice balcony. . Negative side is how much they charge for non- alcoholic drinks. I ordered a Virgin colada for $12 (!!) which was mainly ice cubes, the tiniest bit of pineapple juice. Oh, and normal soft drinks are $9 (!!) Don't understand how it is fair to charge non alcoholic drinks the same as alcoholic drinks.

Friendly staff & Good service but, I didn’t like the music. I went on a weekday (Thursday) and there were no people (only 5 people)... Maybe during the weekend is better. In my opinion, should improve the music and videos on the screen.

Travelling from Australia, I found this bar to be one of the best in Singapore. It is totally authentic, relaxing and the people who work here are original to who they are as individuals.

Singapore loves their tiny cramped bars, that almost 100% of the time will need a reservation. It was a cultural learning for us. Once in the door, this little gem is fun and friendly. We were sat at a cramped little shared table, and had a lovely chat with some locals. Have a nice meal and then pop in for something different every time.

I visited already drunk with my friend. :) Everyone was kind, and the cocktail was pretty good. Thank u for everything.

I love the vibe and the service from Dorothy bar, as well as having interesting drinks. The osmanthus gin with tonic taste alright and pleasant to drink. The sambuca shot had a minty flavour with anise tickled my sense. As I felt satisfied, I bought a shirt to feel like Dorothy bar is my second home. Definitely come back to chill in Dorothy bar.

The staff are oh so lovely. With the queer clientele i felt it was a safe space. There is a nice balcony to watch the pretty streets. The music was good, provided great vibes :)

The outdoor is nice, drinks are cheap and no gst or service charged. Staffs were super friendly. Was there for a glass of whisky after having a full meal with drinks before this. Thumbs 👍 up for the staffs service!

I can honestly say I have never felt so welcomed in a gay bar before. From the moment I walked in to the time that I left. Everyone, the employees and the people, were incredibly kind. I travel a lot and always try to hit up the local gay scene/bar and I am very happy I did this time! I believe their names are Geraldine and Jimmy, but they were such wonderful people. Jimmy made great drinks and Geraldine was a fantastic conversationalist. Thank you Dorothy's Bar for creating a cute and comfortable place for folks like us!

Gay bar that welcomes patrons of all kinds. It is located in the heart of Chinatown. On a second level with a small indoor space and with a decent size L-shaped-terrace with views of Chinatown, allowing you to watch passersby while enjoying a cocktail. Perfect for pre-gaming, although good for an all night if you're looking for a low-key place to hang out in. The staff is phenomenal - ready to help and friendly.

A go-to spot for drinks anytime I’m in the area! Drinks are very affordably priced and delicious. I was never a fan of Long Island Iced Teas until I had my first sip at Dorothy’s - they even have different levels in terms of how strong you want it! The decor and ambience gives you a queer-San Francisco-esque ‘hole-in-the-wall’ dive-bar kind of feels which what makes this place feel so special. It is not pretentious at all and you can feel comfortable there without judgments. This place is a very important LGBTQIA+ institution in Singapore. It is unlike me the other mainstream gay bars on the island which can tend to be very exclusive, especially if you are not ‘conforming’ or if you don’t look a certain way. At Dorothy’s ALL are welcome, as you are. I really hope this gem of a place will still run on for years and years to come! Also, do tip your servers / bartenders! They do such a great job, especially Jimmy who charms us all with his sass and his fabulousness!

Very casual, nice mix of locals and westerners, all body types and gender identities - an eclectic mix of all types from the gay scene, music is mostly gay-classic dance from 80s to present, it’s not a super trendy place, but fun, lively and only a few blocks from the rest of the scene ..

Back for CNY... had to 'escape' from Mother for a short while. Remember someone told me about this bar... so here I am. Charming and pleasant setting. Very friendly stuff... not intrusive, yet engaging enough. Drinks were good too, although I'm not much a drinker. Had 2 drinks. Reasonably priced... so remember to leave a tip for the friendly staff. Will be back when back in Sg again next... and have to hide for some 'me' time.

Stopped by for a drink early on a Friday evening. Place was pretty empty when we arrived but quickly filled up in the next hour - come early or call ahead. Great vibes and diverse crowd, and super friendly bartenders!

Drinks were great. Especially the bloody Mary. Bartender was suuuuper kind especially after I had a breakdown and broke my hand punching a metal door downstairs. He's super helpful plus ambiance was great. 20/10 will reccomend coming without baggage.

We stumbled upon this awesome spot. The staff are so nice, drinks are great and the music is fantastic. But hands down, the best part of this place is the hostess, who moonlights as a bartender and is a fashion design professor by day. She was so kind, witty and entertaining — it was sad for us to leave. Definitely going back here just for her! (& the Black Russians!)
