Ever been to a bar where the owner struts around, makes people feel uncomfortable and ruins their experience there? This is one of those bars. The man is just rude and makes you feel uninvited in a place HE opened up for us to come in to have drinks. Also, I ordered a combo platter there and for $26, it was an absolute rip-off. In my opinion, there are way better places around the area to spend your time and money.

In full transparency, the team is okay. They served us well, and sold us what needed to be sold. We were here just for drinks anyways. Kudos to the ladies behind the counter. It's a basic sports bar. There's nothing unique, nothing different, and nothing worth returning to. Maybe you'd be back for friends, but there's also a few uncles that come, get drunk, and fall onto tables with drinks and bottles breaking all over. For a spot along Club St, I'd expect better. What properly ruined our night was how the manager (I'm guessing, since none of the crew came to persuade him to back off), came up to us at 2am, to tell us off on something petty. Sure, our friend was being cheeky, but instead of giving a verbal warning, the conversation escalated really quickly without the manager backing down, and we left so that a fight wouldn't end up happening. I'd honestly expect basic respect as human beings, and as paying patrons of the bar.

What the hell, the manager of the place (I think) was extremely agressive, and almost came to hands. He looked high on drugs, it is the only possible explanation. We wanted to play pool and wrote our name. The manager then changed the order of the names and put us last so we couldn’t play. This was a terrible night. Our girl friend was shocked by the violence of the manager. Apparently it is not the first time he is agressive. Just look at the other comments. It was a terrible night out. Avoid this bar.

GO TO THIS BAR AT YOUR OWN RISK. I was assaulted at this bar last Friday by its owner. The owner has a bully attitude that creates a terrible atmosphere as he argues with people around the pool table and then pretends to be the hero by throwing out "drunk and rowdy customer", while a lot of the time, he seems to be creating the issue himself. I ended up at this bar by accident with some friends and my wife late at night after having a few drinks at another bar. I hadn't been to this bar since probably 1.5 years and remember that even at that time, the owner was creating arguments with people around the pool table. I've never played here myself. But I remember being perplexed at that time as he threw one guy out that seemed fairly peaceful. Same vibe was still there last week and I could feel it as we arrived, so I was kind of ready for the fact that there might be fights in there. We sat down just outside and I ordered a beer by the waitress. I then walked in, passed the pool table, and as I did the owner that was overseeing the pool game started shouting at me with an aggressive tone "Can I help you", as I kept walking and did not respond he shouted even louder "Can I help you!". I was thinking "here we go again", and responded, perhaps with a cheeky tone, "Yes, you can help me to the toilet", and just kept walking. He then lost it and shouted "Hey, Hey!", from the top of his voice and pursued to follow me as I walked into the toilet pre-room, where the washbasin is and there he caught up with me. As I turned to him, he shouts at me, telling me "not to speak to him like that" while pushing me hard in the chest with both hands. One waitress keeps following him, trying to calm him down and physically hold him back as he is livid with rage. I kept totally calm and never raised a hand. Long story, I end up walking out to the outside tables again where my friends and wife are sitting and he keeps shouting, but with less intensity. I explain that we just arrived and that I have indeed ordered a beer from his bar, from the waitress. My wife asks him to calm down which he somewhat does. After perhaps another 5-10 minutes, without the beer being served, me and my wife decide to leave as we did not want to stay after being treated like that. Also, I refuse to spend a penny at this terrible sports bar. This bar used to be a fairly nice sports bar a few years ago, when there was a different owner, but now it is terrible. AGAIN, VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Sharing my unpleasant experience with the same Indian gentleman that many others have shared. Asked for the menu which he handed me, I asked if there were any ongoing promotions (which new patrons may be unaware of). He asked me "what day is today", to which I responded. He then replied "then look at the menu", alluding to the happy hour timings listed there. Certain my group of friends and I will never patronize this place again. There are WAY BETTER places in the vicinity. Don't ruin your night by going to this wreck.

This place absolutely sucks, poor management from the entrance onwards . They definitely cannot handle the capacity. They let you freely walk into the bar to then tell you cannot serve you. sort out your capacity issues or have someone at the door.

They have a great selection of entertainment: Darts, Pool and an arcade machine. Although I'd be careful if you decide to give the arcade machine a go: the staff seem to hate their jobs and their customers even more. My friends and I were getting quite excited about the game and cheering each other (hey, alcohol and adrenaline), and we were snapped at to play quietly because "people were trying to watch the football match". The staff member later gave a rude second warning, "One more time and I will turn the machine off!" I'm sorry, I wasn't aware we were in a library - although the football fans might consider one to watch their matches in silence next time. I wonder if that staff goes around shutting up bar patrons after every goal scored too.

If you're coming here to watch a football match, don't bother. I came here to watch a 10pm Arsenal game, with no one else in the bar save for two people playing pool. Asked the bar staff if they'd be showing the game, and they said yes but there wouldn't be any sound. No offer to show it with sound even though it wasn't busy. I left and stumbled upon The Southbridge Hotel around the corner, which was showing the game on several massive screens and with loud sound. Go there instead!

Straightforward, no frills pub with great finger food and a pool table. Also awesome music selection - 90s kids would appreciate!

Been here a number of times. Staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable and food servings generous. Has a nice atmosphere and during my last visit, we ended up staying a little longer than intended shooting pool. Great night at a great place, see you soon again!

I had a terrible experience at this bar. The customer service was incredibly rude, and the Indian dude was not only rude but also passive-aggressive. Like everyone mentioned in the reviews that they would give a 0 star reviews if they could have the chance, I agree with everyone of them.

Fantastic ambience and great selection of on tap beer. Gotta give a thumbs up to the music selection as well. Good place to drop into any night of the week for a few drinks and laughs. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they have ChiveTV to go along with the sports on the screens which makes it good for just about anyone. Pool table, dart board and old school video games for those looking for friendly competition. Last thing, the Guinness on tap is a huge plus because for whatever reason, it's hard to find on club street.

If i could 0 stars i would. I went into the bar late and asked if i could play pool, a random customer told me he was next so I said ok how about the other names, he replied they are not here. So i said then im after you and erased the name. The customer then complained to the boss that i am doing “illegal stuff” and I got told off. I said i was told they were not playing. I wish not everyone woman who has a say is treated as someone who is drunk even if im sober. I went back to tell them i was leaving so they could remove my name from the table so others could play. And the 2 bosses treated me like i was a criminal to leave the bar. When i was being nice on my part. I hope at 1am not every woman is assumed to be drunk and irrational when we are jusr trying to be heard. I have been drinking here since 7-8. Years and i am throughly disappointed

I would also leave 0 stars if I could. We came here during World Cup and the bartender/owner(?) was just plain rude. We asked simple questions about the menu and what food was on offer, and he became quite defensive and confrontational. The main server was also incredibly rude and looked like she might throw a fist at any point. The last straw was when my friends went outside for a smoke and the bartender went outside and tried to fight them. Strangest experience I've ever had after living in SG for 8+ years! Avoid at all costs!!

Was told by the in charged person that he owns the place. And not able to take one of the empty seat which was not occupied. Bartender is super friendly jus only the "boss" that said he owns the place is super RUDE! Will never drop by again! Not recommended!

Friendly and helpful staff providing good service. Reasonably priced drinks and a few nice snacks. Also stayed open later to show football which was welcomed. I enjoyed having a drink here. It’s only a 2 minute walk from the main Chinatown area and much more peaceful. Give it a try

Bad experience with the staff.. I don’t know if he’s a manager or a waiter.. he’s the only stuff working first down impression was when we asked about which beers are great.. he replied and i quoted “everything is great, if not why would they be on the menu”.. it was kinda rude but it’s okay we ignored the attitude, then asked like “i’m sorry we meant which are the best sellers” then he answered which, which. Anyway, from the first place he should reply to us like (in my professional opinion) “may i know what is your taste, bitterness or sweet etc, so that I could recommend you” Overall, there are more several things he did or said to us which is really rude by looking from our sides.. maybe idk because we are around 20s so he might be underestimating us like not worth as a customer compared to others.. now we loved the place its really chill to hang out but don’t think we would want to come here again due to the bad service... hope a responsible someone would look into our experience and overcome this.. thank you

(Translated by Google) A bar where you can play a few billiards on Club Street. The bars here are all friendly and give together to play billiards, sometimes together. There is also a dart board. At night, there is a DJ booth, a little noisy ... Billiards are $ 2 each time. Sign balls hanging on the wall are available for purchase. On the TV, there are always sports such as cricket and tennis. Recommended for those who like sports!
