👍 Almost perfect. The food is extremely good. The service is almost telepathic and the chefs were charismatic. I enjoyed my birthday celebration there and would come again for special occasions. I do love my Uni (sea urchin) and they provided us three different grades all to eat differently. Awesome. People often mention good, service, experience, dishes, Omakase,

They finally reopened! Had a quick 6 course lunch before work. It’s really satisfying. Will be back for dinner next !

Food was excellent with several dishes with uni, if you are a fan, will thoroughly enjoy. Your drinks are constantly being topped up, so you will never find yourself having an empty cup. The only thing which marred the whole experience was the ambience. Maybe we were just unlucky - seated with just 10 other people we experienced 3 face-time conversations, 1 phone-call and one of them started playing a video with sound for the other to watch. The wait staff and manager witnessed all these incidents but did not take any action. For a venue which claims to be fine-dining, one would expect some reminders for calls to be taken outside, or am I asking for too much?

Its a 4.5. Would have been higher except at the counter its too close to others and when 1 speaks louder everyone can hear!! Else food, quality and presentation was v good 👍. Esp if I like sea urchin..... They also should improve the dessert though 😋

I had the pleasure of dining at Ki-sho last saturday and had a tremendous experience. Service was impeccable - kudos to the staff, they were top notch! I opted for the $450 set and have to say it was worth every penny. The chef's signature starter was the stand out starter for me as it was a truly innovative dish and thoughtfully executed. The rest of the starters were good but were not mind-blowing (just my 2 cents) As for the sushi, the stand out dishes for me were the aburri otoro with matsutake mushrooms, abalone in liver sauce, king crab and all the uni dishes. These were some of the best uni you'll ever get! Only 2 dishes that I was slightly disappointed with were the chutoro and otoro - they were not "melt in my mouth" however still decent by all means. Ended the night with tamagoyaki and dessert and I've got to say the tamagoyaki was absolutely phenomenal!! It was savoury and sweet with a cake-like texture. Awesome! All in all, I highly recommend Ki-sho as one of the best omakase restaurants in SG.

** We were invited back to Kisho by their Ops Manager, Jeffrey Hong, who has been apologetic about our bad experience last month (he verified my account of that night with everyone) and it is a very good move on the part of Kisho to do service recovery. This is the first restaurant I’ve come across that does this! I’m impressed to say the least. Previously where I thought the food was good, I wasn’t planning to return because of the disappointing service. This time, it was a whole new experience for us. Exactly like how we expect a luxurious Omakase to be. Service led by Jeffrey was on point, and they took note of our preference from our first dinner a month back. The food is still good though they could have done away with 1 dessert and substituted it with a good bowl of soup. Aside from this, the ume mojito cocktail from the bar was amazing! We appreciate that the Kisho team acknowledged our first experience was not representative of their brand and gave their best to make it a night to remember for both of us. I’m happy to amend this rating from a 2 to a solid 4, and we will be returning customers. Thank you! ** The good review first. Our appointment was at 7 however we were stuck in very bad traffic and we called to ask what’s the latest we could arrive. The lady over the phone told us before 8 since there is only one dinner seating and we were happy they waited for us. Location is beautiful and that kind of stirred our excitement for dinner as we’ve had many magical Omakase experiences for lesser and we walked in with high hopes. The food was good overall, this was unfortunately the only saving grace of the night. It was a S$950 9 course Omakase meal for two (no sushi dishes at all), with underwhelming service that made the entire experience feel lacklustre. Somehow when we arrived, it felt oddly as though we were not welcome. Chef did not acknowledge us. The wait staff was unenthusiastic and the team made quite a few mistakes with our meals like adding wasabi when I had specifically requested not to have it anywhere on the plate, let alone on top of my dish. It was lovely that they allowed a second serving of bafun uni and miso soup as we were still hungry before the top up even though that dish was the last dish before desserts. It was my friend’s birthday and when the wait staff served the birthday dessert, she brought it in and left in on the table and walked off. No HBD greeting and no song. Wow. The lady at the payment counter was just as disappointing. She did not ask us how we liked our dinner as she probably could sense our disappointment and yet did not bother to find out how they could have done better. I truly believe that stellar service can turn around a mediocre dining experience, however a Michelin standard in food is just lost in bad service. Everyone there did not appear to take pride in their work . There are smaller Omakase houses that aren’t so snobbish and provide beautiful service. There were many unoccupied seats and perhaps this in itself is telling. We’d rather spend our hard earned money at places where they are actually genuinely happy to serve. Oh and they had tiny insects crawling around the table (video proof available). Attached two photos to show the bug in different positions.

Ki-sho has been on our to-try list for awhile, while each course was well composed, the overall experience lacked any real moments of delight or surprises. Service was spot-on, friendly staff and chef. Location is just away enough from the orchard traffic to feel like an intimate getaway. At this price point, there are many other more memorable options, making it hard to justify a return visit above other similar kappo-styled restaurants. 4.5 stars overall, though not a repeat venue for me.

Excellent food and first class service. Best place to come if you love truffles and uni. Pick the $400 set if you really love uni. Sushi rice dipped in brown vinegar. Expensive but worth to give a try. Highly recommended! Great location. Ample parking.

An interesting omakase featuring quite a bit of uni. My favourites were the grilled unagi, uni sushis as well as aburi-ed ootoro and toriyama wagyu. Chef also uses 2 different type of shari for different neta.

What an experience. Best Japanese Restaurant in Singapore for me. The uni especially top notch. Recommend to try the Grilled Unagi and Shirauko. So delicious. Will be definitely returning again in the future to try other selections.

The service standard is great. Food is rather average, nothing to impress. The sauce for Wagyu is of salty side. Wagyu is of good grade and melt in the mouth other than that really nothing worth mention.

Excellent food and first class service. Expensive but reasonable in Singapore for establishments of this standing. Lunch Omakase between S$150-250. Extensive wine list. Sushi rice dipped in brown vinegar accentuated the taste of the sushi 🍣. Highly recommended! Great location. Ample parking. Only thing a bit off about the establishment was that I thought that the hair length of some the sushi chefs was too long for professionalism sake. Nevertheless, they delivered great food 🥘

One of the best Omakase that I have tasted in Singapore, and I opted for the lunch menu. Do not underestimate the portion of this omakase. I am quite an eater, and I am quite full when I reach the unagi set. The flavours of each dishes are amazing, the ottoro sashimi is really good. For A5 wagyu, you will need to top up an additional SGD50, which I did, and it is so worth it.

Pretty good omakase in a private compound with an open air carpark. Portion sizes are manageable for lunch, and dishes are unique and delicious. There were 1 or 2 items which were not on point for me, hence a 4-star rating.

From the Agemono to the Mizukashi on the list - these were pretty good. The rest were OK (can be better). Staff is friendly and service was great.

This time, we visited Kakure in this place. Staff are very nice and bar is super nice. You can relax there. I highly recommend this bar in Singapore for dating, birthday and some special day... Furthermore, you can have very yummy cheese cake from Ami here.

The food was well-prepared, the overall experience lacked any "wow" moments. The service was excellent, and the location was cozy and intimate. However, considering the price point, there are other restaurants that offer more memorable experiences.

This place is a true hidden gem and true Kaiseki cuisine. Incredible food and delightful service indeed. This place is truly special.
