Overpriced for the quality of fishes. We got the 168++ menu and was expecting a lot more premium fishes which was what the waitress advertised as well. However, we got a lot of shellfishes, at least 5. Probably preference but just not a huge fan of that chewy texture. For the same price, we could get a better menu elsewhere. Lunch also felt rushed, only had one chef was serving for 10 people and he was just putting down the dish across the counter very quickly so not so much of an experience if you’re looking for one. The usual stars like negitoro and uni were good though.

We had a delightful evening, savouring a full-course Japanese meal in a cosy and unassuming setting. My photos really don’t do justice to the fresh & inspiring dishes prepared meticulously by the chef. It was interesting to observe up-close his culinary expertise and as he prepared each course with laser-focus. I think the only dish I didn’t quite enjoy was the clam sashimi; wished it was scallops instead, but that’s a personal preference. I also loved all the cooked dishes, especially the soup. Pacing was just right; they managed to keep to the same flow even for a couple that came in half an hour late. Service was intimate as there were 3 staff behind the counter, serving only 8 diners that evening. We felt a friendly-vibe, rather than a ‘Michelin-fine-dining’ standard, which is how we like it anyway. Would recommend for special occasions or if you feel like treating yourself! Oh, but please be considerate to other diners – there was a diner who kept complaining loudly about work the whole night, it was just rude.

This hole in a wall restaurant is a gem. Just came back from a 2hr omakase. Food is fresh and quality, some of the fish I've not had before. The price $168 seems pricey but we had a close to 20 dish gastronomic journey. Well worth and feeling so full now.

Decided to head down with friends to try their omakase. The shop is quite lean, they seems only serving up to 12 ppl max per hour since the space is confined. We just walk-in to try our luck and we got it. There is an ongoing promotion which we took it, 15 courses premium at 88++. The experience was quite good, since we are the first group. There are only 2 employee in the shop, a server and the Itamae look quite young. He started to prepare the ingredients for us while the other waitress is preparing our appetizer. Every dish serve they will explain to us what they are made off. We can see clearly how it is being prepared. Most of them are sashimi, you will like it if you are a fan of it. The course wrapped up with uni and unagi finally the dessert. We spent a good 1 hour over the restaurant. The portion looked small but quite filling. They do serve alcohol but we didn't try since there is second round for us :) Overall the experience is quite good.

A little hide away small shop feels homely. Fish is fresh and I like the thick cut. Omakase lunch is very reasonable priced with total of more then 20piece of sushi / sashimi and cooked food. Did not like the rice as it feels too hard.

Just left Mizuya barely 30 minutes ago, and my wife and I both still feeling the delicate explosion of tastes in our mouths and tummies! Mizuya might come across as a hole in the wall, but the culinary experience is nothing like that - compared to other omakase I’ve been to, Chef Kenny and his staff pay careful attention to the patrons. They took the initiative to move us closer to chef when others left first, so that we could chat with Chef, who was most delighted to share more with us about what we were eating. Sadly it just means we’ll have to set aside more budget to return for every seasonal change 😂 As for the food - every dish was so delicately crafted, so lovingly prepared! This being our first time here, I had my reservations when I saw a couple of reviews just before this. Very glad to report that these concerns were totally unfounded. The experience was impeccably timed, and at no point did we feel bored or rushed (perhaps it was partly down to the excellent sake recommendation by the Chef). This meal was in no way inferior to what you’ll find along the Tras Street stretch, and I dare say even better, given the intimate atmosphere and the honest down-to-earth nature of the Chef and his staff. We’ll have to save up more to be back more often! :)

Lunch at Mizuya always good and great value. Using only the season’s fresh ingredients, chef uses simple cooking style to bring out the best in the food. Great service too! 🍣

Came to know about this place by reading some of the reviews posted on the various social media platforms. The place was cosy, staff were very welcoming and the price was reasonable for a omakase. I loved how fresh the food tasted, things like the uni, you could almost taste the sea. One of the fish had a large bone it it and it was replaced although I didn't find it a big deal. Definitely would recommend and would come back here again. For dinner do note that only the set omakase can be ordered though.

No wonder this place is so highly rated. Linda was extremely helpful to collect a bday cake from a nearby bakery for me. The food is overall excellent, with several rare and high class fishes not easily found in other sushi restaurants like stone fish and scorpion fish that are in season. Uni servings are generous and the atmosphere is really cozy. On top of that, the price you pay for this quality of food is unbeatable. Would gladly go back whenever I crave sushi just to see how their season offerings evolve. My only complaint is there are no draft beer or wine in the restaurant but their sake offering is excellent.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was truly memorable. Feel excited whatever the next dish. Cant remember how many course but the food keeps coming and ended right when I was about to bloat. One of the best omakase I’ve experienced so far in terms of food quality, stellar service and attentiveness. 2 thumbs up for the chef n service there. 👍👍

It was my first time trying omakase and overall it was a good experience. The ingredients were fresh and the dishes came out quickly. As a first-time omakasei eater, I cannot provide a comparison, but I felt that it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

Small single long bar omakase restaurant. Local lady boss, Linda and 2 staffs. Very friendly. Some of the serving is unique and very tasty with many layer of taste in every bite.

Service was great with special shout out to Linda Tan. Would probably request that the omakase chefs be clearer and more motivated in introducing each dish served, given the price we were paying for. The food was decent. Highlight was the fresh sashimi and Miyazaki A5 Wagyu. Lowlight was the starting dish which was a sea snail. Freshness and quality of overall food could be improved. We tried the V Day lunch menu and considering the price we had to pay, the dining environment, and overall food quality. I would say the value for money rating was below average. I think there are better omakase options elsewhere but you will have to be willing to pay more. Interested to try out the other branch in Orchid hotel to compare.

Came here after reading so many good reviews. I was not disappointed but rather impressed with their professionalism and attention to details that beats even Japanese Chefs. The seafood was to the utmost freshness and the cooked dishes were done with flair. It was definitely a very good experience and value for money. Nice good range of whiskies and sake and do try their homemade Umeshi. Well done. We will be back.

Came with my gf for the 88sgd (before GST & service charge & excluding tea) 15-course dinner walk in offer on a Saturday night around 8pm. The omakase sushi was great and we particularly liked the engawa. The only change I would make is to spilt the otoro and uni up - both are great individually, but having them together made it harder to appreciate each of them. Overall we still really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was rather quiet as we were the only customers around. Hope they get more support!

It was my first time having omakase and the experience was great. Both chef Ryu & Derrick were very hospitable and took the time to explain to us the dishes prepared. Delicious seasonal items such as Scorpion fish was served as well. Chefs were meticulous in the preparation and presentation of the dishes👍
