Buddhist temple in Singapore situated near St Michaels road. .... One of the ancient and historically renowned place in singapore. So many buddhists from all over the country come for prayers at this temple... Closet train station would be the boon keng mrt line.... This opens all the day time so that people come and visit this place any time....

I'm not Buddhist but understanding all types of religions and practices is what makes Singapore great. The Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple provides a sanctuary of peace and tranquility behind the stress of work. Seeing the crowd of dedicated Buddhist establish some sort of serenity for one person seeking spirituality. Despite the old facade, the area is well cleaned and maintained perfect for those who are seeking enlightenment.

Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple is located at St. Michael's Road , Singapore and many people worship this temple to get blessings and chanting. This temple is more popular with Sri Lankan Buddhist people and it is one of the Theravada Buddhist temples in Singapore.

There's apparently a bodhi tree in the compounds of this Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple which has been planted since 1933. The sapling, as I was told, was from Sri Lanka. It boasts the largest reclining Buddha statue in Singapore and it is indeed quite impressive to actually see it in a quiet residential estate.

A Buddhist temple (Theravada) in Singapore with monks mostly from Sri Lanka. But hosts monks from other countries as well. A peaceful place to follow your spiritual path.

Buddhist monastery isΒ the place of worship for Buddhists, the followers of Buddhism. They include the structures called vihara, chaitya, stupa, wat and pagoda in different regions and languages. Temples in Buddhism represent the pure land or pure environment of a Buddha. Lankarama vihara is peaceful place to meditation.

One of few Sri Lankan temples in Singapore where lot of Buddhist get together in almost all over the year not only in special Poya days but also in weekends for different kind of spiritual events like arms giving, dansals, meditation programmes etc. Also we could experience monks visiting this temple from all over the place and organize different spiritual activities. Its one of gathering place for meet Sri Lankans who work in Singapore. Now its having newly build stupa as well. Its really interesting to visit this spiritual place in order to calm our minds and body in rush working life in Singapore.

The temple is the oldest Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhist Temple in Singapore and it has a rich history and culture. The temple has a Stupa, a Bodhi Tree, Buddha images, and a Sima Hall, making it a complete monastery under the Theravada tradition. The temple also offers various religious services, blessings ceremonies, counseling services, and community activities. The temple is well-maintained and the monks and staff are very friendly and helpful. You can learn a lot about Buddhism and Sri Lankan culture from them. The temple is also very accessible as it is located at St. Michael's Road in Bendemeer, near the Boon Keng MRT station. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in Buddhism or Sri Lankan culture, or who just wants to experience some peace and tranquility in the city. It is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition and appreciation.πŸ™
