Said that it was close because of circumstances but then when i tried to call the other outlets to see if its open or not before heading down but no outlet on the list even picked up their phones.so whats the point of letting us know that it is open on google the list mentioned when the other outlets are not even open . I understand that 24hour clinic staffs will also have to rest but then please don’t make your patients wait outside and calling each outlet like a fool . I am very disappointed . This has result in me going to the hospital instead when its not even a life and death situation just needed some medications.

honestly i would rate it a 0/5 but i can’t and cause the assistant lady ( in her 50s ) was really rude when my mother was vomiting / felt like she wanted to faint and when we got the medication . she told my mother “ leave eh , i need to clean “ like honestly is that how you treat your patients. the clinic honestly need to get a new assistant and honestly what’s with the rule “ only one person to accompany the patient” like what ? it just doesn’t really make any sense as their clinic don’t even have any patients .

Overall the Malay doctor is lousy. Not professional enough. He should be replaced. For a consultation at 24hr clinic is pricey but never expected after 9.00pm they already kicked off the $90 consultation fees. I thought for some 24hr clinic will have extra charge after midnight. It is damned night robbery for a clinic. I was also given 10 types of medication which is few I don't need it. Already cost me $259.00 including consultation fee. Due to my budget constraints I have to pulled out 3 medication which is I think not necessarily for me. Lucky when the doctor asked me do I have any chest pain or breathless I said I don't have. If I do said yes.. surely additional more medication and nabshot they will charge me $300 which is u justify for me. Not everyone who comes to 24hr clinic are rich people who can spend $200-$300 for medication and consultation fee. Please review your charging fee of $90 when comes midnight. I have to inform the Ministry of Health regards this because I have attended by the doctor less than 5mins and not even friendly even my daughter noticed this and never give any advice or whatsoever to patient. And last but not least the clinic looks rundown and pale. And such to claim $90 for consultation fee before midnight at a rundown clinic. Please.. See the truth of your clinic condition and review your consultation fee hours. I regretted to come to this clinic.

BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD experience and the MALAY LADY on duty EXTREMELY RUDE. My friend visited Central 24-hr clinic at Tampines st 21 on 10Dec around 11pm due to food poisoning but doesn't seem better after the injection. He called the clinic around 1.30am on 11Dec, checking with the staff whether possible to get the referral letter from the clinic, in order for him to go to Changi hospital. We decided to go back to the clinic at around 4.30am as my friend still not well the whole night, when we are on our way to the clinic, my friend already shared with me about the bad attitude of the malay lady who attended to him when he called earlier. When we reached the clinic at around 5am, the door was locked, pressed the door bell few times but no one came to open the door, no choice we have to called the clinic, after a while, a malay old lady walked out with her 'Sleepy eyes', taking her own sweet time to open the door. I told her that we were waited quite a while before she came to open the door, she tell me straight to me face, only patient can go in, friend wait outside, can't she noticed that my friend can't even walk properly? When I asked her how could she fell asleep when working at the 24 hours clinic? She can argued with me and said that...'She's not sleeping, just resting'. Before we left the clinic with the referral letter, i told her that I will feedback about her bad attitude and will not come back to this kind of horrible clinic. Guess what? She raised her voice at me and said, 'Is OK, just go ahead to feedback and no need to come back' Look at all the ONE ☆ feedback, shows that this clinic at Tampines is damn horrible on both doctors and the staff.

The worst "so-called 24 hr" clinic ever. They have this rubbish policy cleaning from 0700-0730 and I came at 0645 hrs today and the fat malay lady in her 50s just kept repeating it's closed for cleaning but no one is there for cleaning !! Such Disastrous medical and health business.

Doctor that I attended (guy with long hair) was very rude and impatient. If he don't like his current job please quit the job. I understood that might be short handed thus some timing no doctor, I purposely call and ask to make the trip go down. But doctor attitude is totally unacceptable.

I was the only one at the clinic the night I walked in. The registration was fast and I got what I needed and left. I wonder if it was a busy time…. there was not a lot of seating area and I think the physical space needs upgrading. Somehow cleaner and nicer physical space gives me a lot more confident in the quality and standard of service I’m getting.

Was there to do a swab cos i was not feeling quite well. Prior to visiting the clinic, i have already swab twice at home and both were positive. Felt no customer service from the Chinese lady. There was a malay lady there, not sure if she is new, but asked the chinese lady quite a bit of questions regarding the system and the chinese lady also gave an impatient reply. Back to the doctor visit. I was up for the swab and it was that chinese lady who swabbed for me. For someone who swabs a lot due to work and conducted swabs in the company, my personal feel is the time taken to swab my nose is less than the rotate and twirl 10 times and honestly i couldn't really feel the stick in my nose too. Regardless, the result turns out negative and i was surprised. Both the doctor and lady deeply believed the results and ask me to return next day if i still don't feel good. Since it was negative, i was actually planning to go back office, gym followed by night class. But as my sore throat and nose block started to worsen by hours, i did a 3rd swab at home and it was still positive. I asked around and my friend recommended me to one clinic which i went. The swab turn out positive and i was placed at SHN for next few days. I couldn't believe what will happen if there are people falling sick because of me if i went ahead with my activities. The doctor is nice and gentle, but i guess the reception area has to improve. I definitely wouldn't go back for any swabs anymore nor going there to be treated like i owed them unless it is really required in the middle of the night. I am sharing this based on my personal experience and i believe there may be many others who experienced it differently. May you, the reader not have to experience what i went through.

Worst doctor's visit ever. Extremely rude, unprofessional and potentially deceptive receptionist (bespectacled malay lady in her 50s). Not a 24 hour clinic as advertised, staff claims clinic is closed till a certain time as it was undergoing cleaning due to covid but it was actually because the doctor was late. Had to wait 1.5hrs outside the clinic. Clinic is not well equipped. Did not even have an oxymeter to check O2 saturation for someone who was feeling breathless. AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Dont bother going to this clinic. Terrible service at the door. So I came at 11:30am and was told by the malay auntie to come back at 1pm as they are changing shift. Thats okay, had a quick meal and came back at 12:45 just to find out that my insurance is not covered because they “could not” login into their system and just told me to pay full amount. 0 effort to find out more or fix their system. Had to travel to another clinic and wasted my day. Terrific.

I stay and wait, then she said people come and ask first dont need to wait also can cut the line and take number first. It's fare for people spend their timing and wait inside and other people dont need to wait then can cut the line when have doctor???? When ask for regist just "come here, come here, your IC?". It's your servicing??? It's a lady malay wear black hijab and face mask always below the nose About doctor: he was chewing something went talk to me. TOO BAD FROM OUTSIDE TO INSIDE

I visited the clinic out of necessity at 1 am due to food poisoning. The receptionist displayed a lack of friendliness and empathy, which was disappointing. It would be beneficial for them to show more understanding towards patients, considering they are often unwell. Additionally, the clinic could improve its appearance as it currently resembles a military sick bay with minimal effort.

Why I give only four star because there's always room of improvement.1)Doctor is nice and understanding very important issue the right medication.2)If the company can have two counter staff will be better.Previously have very bad experience in bedok 24-hour.Definitely, I will recommend my friend and colleagues to this Tampines central 24hr .Keep up the good work.

The worst place ever. The Malay receptionist in her mid 50s is rude and extremely I shall use the word, hostile and defensive when we try to ask her things. She even said “go ahead to complain I’ve been working here for 20 years” The complain and feedback for the 24 hour clinic doesn’t work, the doctors are clueless. Dear friends please take care and refrain from visiting the clinic and their branches. Terrible. I couldn’t give less than one star. Avoid this clinic at all cost, visit at your own peril

The worst clinic ever, receptionist have the worst attitude ever. Brought my very sick sister there during midnight, the receptionist gave us hell of a attitude. Not to mention the overpriced consultant fee! Was charge 291 for a 5 min visit and a few medications for food poisoning, granted it’s a public holiday, but still too much for the kind of consultation they provide.

Brought my mum on a Sunday night. The receptionist was extremely rude and the manner she spoke to the patients especially foreign worker was very condescending. I was made to wait at the counter for a long while n when I finally asked her what I was waiting for, she told me in a loud voice that she hasn't registered me n told me to wait. The least she could do was to update me nicely by saying that she will be registering my mum after she has settled another patient .She needs to be trained on how to speak politely. Really it was a very bad experience.

In times of emergency, the nurse refuse to register my son due to no physical birth cert. When promoted not enough information, and i have been harping on the information needed but she is not able to ask. I thinking she have low IQ AND EQ as at times of emergency she have no brains and my son nearly lost his life because of delay in medical service.

I've always chosen this clinic when I need to see a doctor. But this time its the worst experience I've ever had!! I told the doctor my eye was swelling, and he asked me some general questions and keyed in the system, after that, he touched my eyes to check the condition without sanitizing his hand or using disposable medical gloves, that's very unprofessional!! You know that my eye is immflamination then you still use an unsanitized hand to touch it?! That's very basic knowledge!!

I wanted to share my experience from my visit on January 13th, Saturday, at 1:38 pm. While the doctor consultation was satisfactory, I encountered an issue at the front desk that compelled me to write this feedback. The young lady at the front desk, who attended to me, displayed a rather abrupt demeanor. When requesting my IC, she threw it back at me, and I felt disheartened by this behavior. I am unsure if there was a misunderstanding or if I unintentionally caused any discomfort, as she did not inquire about the purpose of my visit. I believe addressing this issue and providing additional training for front desk staff on customer service would greatly enhance the overall experience for patients. I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that necessary steps will be taken to ensure a more positive interaction for future visitors. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to improving service quality.

Do keep your Google status updated, it's very depressing to come and realised its not opened. Tried calling as well, ya should probably have an answering machine to let public who called to know that ya r not operating. Called the following clinics also no answer, DID NOT bother trying luck anymore. It's as good as ya don't exist.

Terrible service and bad attitude of the Malay aunty. Was went to see doctor with my son. The fee is very expensive, my son having running nose and caughing. Totally is $112++, after blue Charse card subsidy still need to pay $93. It really too expensive. For myself was using company card, co-pay $5. The Malay aunty told me my running nose medicine is not yet approved for cover, because of Sunday no work. Ask me come back tomorrow, and maybe need to pay for the medicine. I was wondering why, other clinic never give me this issues, somemore is same medicine given still cover. Then she screaming to me said "Do you want cancel or come back tomorrow? This is not my problem!" Well I chose for cancel the medicine. After 5 minutes she called me to go take the medicine, which she said not cover. Really bad experience! People holding Blue Card, really can't afford for such price!

Visited this clinic as I suspect I may have dengue. However they don't do blood test here and ask me to go to polyclinic. That is fine but the young duty doctor didn't even bother to examine me like what you expect a doctor to do. Instead it felt more like a tele consult which I could have done from home. What's the point of visiting a clinic then?

Very rude and incompetent clinic staff who gave me the wrong number of antibiotics (less than I paid for and was prescribed) and blatantly lied to cover up her mistake instead of simply apologising. Refused to let me consult the doctor to confirm that it was okay to “start and stop” taking the antibiotics (her own medical advice). Given that this is a medical clinic where prescribing wrong medicine / incorrect amounts of medicine can have serious consequences, the staff should take their work more seriously.

This clinic is the worst clinic I had visited in my whole life. At the glass door it has a notice that they are not available to take any patients but you can still walk in to ask. & The doctor on duty is so unprofessional, not only he looks like a medic instead, his words used are also sarcastic. And for a simple pain relief medication, the total cost is $62.50 on a weekday afternoon even after CHAS discount? It is an exorbitant pricing. If the doctor is good i am still convinced to pay. Review on google is so bad as well, and they totally nail it. If I have a choice, I won’t come to this clinic at all. I would suggest the clinic to be closed down for other better clinics to take over. So even if it is life and death to see a doctor, I suggest go CGH A&E than to come here.

Overall lousy - place got worse after the takeover.

I was feeling very sick and wanted to use the toilet but seems like the counter staff wasn't too friendly and was sighing when I requested to use the toilet. There was no one at the clinic at the point of visit but I have to wait awhile. The doctor also see me less than 5 mins. The only plus point is the clinic was 24 hours. Overall 2/5 experience.

I visited at night so the charges were expensive, but CGH refused to take my case due to not having proper equipment to remove a lip piercing. While this doctor had no experience with piercing removal, he was able to do it painlessly and effortlessly. The receptionists are very friendly as well and joked with me. This doctor is also the one who helped my father get on hypertension medication as my father has very high BP, and this doctor said he would call the ambulance there if he couldn't answer his questions about hypertension. That's how my father started taking his meds and now his BP is under control. I am extremely grateful to this doctor for helping me and my family with health-related problems that even hospitals were not able to help. This doctor is very passionate about his job and cares immensely about his parents, rather than just about the fees. Please give him your support as I've rarely seen a doctor this dedicated. I had a wonderful time here, thank you very much!

Not sure why people put bad reviews. Dr. Locum took me in and the visit was very efficient. Both doctor and the lady at the reception was very nice. Consultation fee at 11pm was 90 SGD which is okay la. The only downside is that they don’t accept visa or mastercard. Forgot the mask but they gave me one for free. I don’t think they are nice only to ang mohs because they gave mask to other people also. But its true there is no privacy as the doors are open to the reception all the time.

Feel that the attending locum was mechanical in his approach. No privacy as door was not closed during each consultation. One of the front desk was loud and defensive over a misunderstanding. Terrible service by the Malay lady. I did not wear my mask, as I came from work. Raised her voice at me. came during the midnight cause I got sick during that time, when I received the total bill it totalled up to $174 just because I got sore throat and fever, it’s super expensive. I understand there is late hours charges but please at least reduce the cost more, it’s not the same as A&E where they provide wider range of services. definitely not coming back here next time, I just gotta pray that my sickness don’t unluckily fall during the late hours again.

Never go to 24hr clinic if you got a major injury or condition. Please visit A&E straight, at least they got nurse trained and charges is reasonable. The Malay receptionist aunty got no sympathy at all to patients. And her attitude was super bad.

The staff and doctor were both very patient, polite and friendly despite the late hour. My only complaint would be the exceedingly high surcharge for coming in after midnight. I had food poisoning and my total bill was $270. That aside, it was a pleasant visit.

    1. Overpriced, it costs us $300 for the medicine (includ. $150 midnight charge). Most importantly, the fever never fades for 3 days after taking the medicine. 2. Doctor was kinda slack and unprofessional. He was in semi sleeping mode and just saying a few words during the diagnosis.

Bad service rendered by clinic assistant, asking people to Q outside whereby no Q sign. When I asked her, where her Q starts from, she fails to answer ask me to ask around from other patients. Dr on duty also another GONG GONG, super blur! Came out from clinic to use stethoscope on patients. No proper seating or standing guidelines. swab test staff, Malay lady shouting out loud calling patients. WHY PEOPLE GO CLINICS BECAUSE NOT WELL RIGHT so why must shout? Don’t work if you don’t like this job! Very disappointed 😢

Came over for a simple headache and a medical certificate because I needed rest. Was overcharged by 38 dollars for medication that I already have. Counter lady barely showed the medicine to me and only realised I had these medication at home when i saw the itemised receipt. But by then I've paid and they told me the accounts was closed and nothing could be done. Today I found out I could've asked a refund transaction and that I was given Celebrex and omeprazole for a headache. Why do I have to get two medications for something a paracetamol and some rest can help with? Isn't there already a warning issued by SMC on practitioners overcharging and overmedicating?

    - dad visited clinic for swab and was positive. - clinic said he will receive sms in 2hours time from MOH. If non-receipt, to call them (hah..this is where the joke starts)... - hotline seems to be fake because I've called continuously for super long and no response at all since afternoon - WhatsApp them but took 8hours to reply something that shirks all responsibility of saying "that's not within their jurisdiction" (so strange..then why tell us to contact them🤔) - they only responded at midnight after I mentioned this level of services has to be brought to MOH attention.. I don't think anyone visits a clinic for fun, especially in covid times where we don't want to burden the Public healthcare by visiting hospitals. But with clinics like this who're honestly unresponsive to our needs (I'm not even asking for immediate response but c'mon...8hours?), and we wonder why people visits Hospital's A&E?

The front desk Makcik is super rude! Yeah maybe she’s tired bcoz of 24hrs clinic and I overheard that a couple of staff are on mc so she gotta continue her shift. But you don’t have to take unnecessary stress dealing with patients. Just bcoz we have to understand yr situation doesn’t mean you’re hurting the patients feelings. We are already sick. She screamed at top of her lungs for a patient “MARIKAAANNN!!!” 3 freaking times!! Omg Makcik!! Oh she’s coughing excessively also maybe to let the dr know that she’s also sick. When she took a swab, I tried to adjust my specs bcoz it nearly dropped… she pushed my hands away twice with an attitude. Well Makcik good luck to you with your work and I shall not go to the clinic again. What the hey hey!! Swab area is in front of a big trash can. Worst clinic ever!! I will let my HR knows to pull them off from our company panel. Even the dr didn’t listen well, I come for a ear infection and never take a look at it. Arrgghhh…

Same as the 24-hour clinic in Pasir Ris, Why why why do you call yourself 24-Hr clinic when you don’t even open 24 hours??? Had food poisoning and wanted to get a jab yesterday night but ended up facing a closed clinic…

I brought my son to the clinic at 6am but the door is locked. No one is in the clinic . We pressed the bell and knocked the door no one come to attend at all. There is no notice paste on the door, not sure is it open or not. The phone is on engage tone. Why is it call 24hrs clinic when is not opened.

Went at 715am but was told to come back at 8am because doctor is not in yet. This isn’t really a 24hr clinic. Doctor was passable. He stood at arm’s length during the consultation which was strange but it was a functional consultation. After the consultation, I was given a very mild herbal cough medicine when I clearly told the doctor that I need stronger cough meds because the one I was taking isn’t working. The nurse told me that this was the only cough mixture they have in the clinic. I find it unbelievable that a clinic only carries 1 type of cough medicine, and prescribes the same thing to all patients irregardless of their condition. Even guardian and watsons has a wider selection of cough medicine. I also had runny nose and they did not prescribe anything for that. All in all, the doctor and the clinic assistant does not seem too interested in helping their patients. They seem to be just waiting for time to go by and just doing the minimal with least effort. Extremely disappointed.

The doctor was good, and everything was alright, expect for the payment part, one ought to always have loose change ( small dollars note ) such as $10, $5, $2 stand by, well, i do not know why, anywayz...it is not nice for a patient to be stressed over all these unnecessary errands... I know that it wasn't easy for a clinic assistant to oversee / one-legged-kicking, well, just some tension in the atmosphere when i have stepped in...

Went there on Saturday night 8pm. No patient so got to see the doctor after registration. 5 types of medicines given for stomache flu and the bill was close to $140. Is too expensive for mid/low income family.

One of the doctor i went to was not through with his diagnosis. Don't bother to check my throat when i mentioned i have sore throat. Prescribed me with mild medicine to take once a day. Making my condition worst. A waste of time and money.

Im currently in front of the clinic. Tbh, truly disappointed with both the malay lady receptionist and the doctor. Both of them are just not suitable for the job. No passion, no manners. sleeping like nobodies business, not like you're working and i need to wait for 45mins to see the doctor. I understand if its busy but the thing is im alone. Nobody's there. And the best part when i enter the doctor room with his sleepy face, and didnt allow me to fully explain what happened to me.. astaghfirullah.. can u imagine, if im urgently need assistance and while waiting for them to open the door and receive the treatment, what would really happen to me? I hope both of u realise that we never ask to be sick, and ask for free medical treatment. Both of u being paid to do a job, with passion, for u doctor u've sworn to treat your patient equally before u become the Doctor, dont assume and do explain to your patient whats happened after u see them. What if you wrongly gave prescription or diagnose your patient because of your sleepiness? For u Kak, carilah rezeki dengan cara halal. This is wrong. Sorry, im not good in English. And this is my first time write review or gave feedback openly in public. JFYI, what they did is totally unacceptable.

I went 12 midnight to the clinic , I wasn't informed about the consultation price.12 midnight onwards just to consult a doctor the charges is $139 , I was prescribed just one medication and I had to pay total $169.I was so shock when I saw the bill.Counter staff wasn't even wearing a mask when I entered the clinic. The consultation price is ridiculous for a gp.

This 24hrs clinic is good and help the resident serounding. Few months back this 24hrs clinic was close most of the time and paper paste at glass door saying there's no doctor. As the resident we hope that this 24hrs clinic continue to provide us thier service as in this area lot of old people with medical conditions. Thank you.

Do not go to this clinic. It is so overpriced that you will be shocked. Brought my mum on Sat 8 pm for normal fever & cough and was charged $170 for 20 min consultation. No wonder there is no queue at all.

I had a great experience with the doctor here. Although he is a locum, he was attentive and helped to explain all the other options to treat my conditions. The clinic is a simple setup, and counter staff is efficient, able to handle many other patients and also dispense medication fast. Thank you very much.

Worst experience i had so far of all clinics, forgot my mask & asked the malay auntie if she can spare me, she then assist me aggresively. She asked aggresively "wheres yr mask", she then question me what is wrong with me, throughout our conversation, all the patients were looking at us as she was raising her voice at me, so i question her why is she being aggresive when im trying to talk nicely. she then ask me to take a sit, as i was not wearing my mask i went out, she then shouted til all patients look at me and i went in, she then question me why i was outside, too much things happen, i came here as this was the first clinic in mind around my area that is 24 hr. This kind of service especially as a frontliner is not acceptable. Please train yr staff to handle well as a frontliner, your service sucks alot. The last time im going to come here.

Impatient doctor, with rude attitude. Try to share more bout how not feeling well I am. End up with just impatient. He don’t deserve to be front line. Tone of voice is like questioning instead of caring. A star to the receptionist who being helpful.

$80 for consultation past 9pm is understandable. But medication costing $113 on top of that is a little steep…… Paid a total of $193. Otherwise, Dr Joel was great and did the necessary checks. Thank you.

It’s a shocking nightmare experience visiting the Tampines 24 hour clinic. I accompanied my sister who was down with flu to the clinic in the mid night hours. With typically less than one min of consultation and a bottle of cough syrup, some pain killers, lozenges n plaster, the bill came up to $198. This is a neighborhood estate n the charges was way above expectation. both of us were sick when we came out of the clinic, one was with light flu symptoms n me with my pocket burnt.

We reach the clinic at 7am ..door was lock and I ring the bell for couple of minutes, the malay aunty looks like just woke up from her rest .. and told me that they open at 7.30am or 7.45 an. We waited till 7.35am then she unlock and nv wear her mask properly, cough and cough ..after registered, she said doctor not in yet.. I left for another clinic after reading the review from this clinic .. A relative recommended another dame clinic buy in pair ris but I lost confidence..

TERRIBLE don't spend your money on them I have a sore throat, the doctor asks me to open my mouth, he barely looks from his desk and decides it is a viral infection, prescribed drugs.. Even if I warned him that I suspect it is bacterial and that I need antibiotics, it's painful, I'm not coughing .. but in less than 2 minutes it was done, he did not check the throat correctly, the lymph nodes that are swollen, the painful ears .. etc all that to pay $ 76! For a wrong diagnosis and inappropriate medicines And after having paid, ladies at the counter gives me the bill, the MC, the drugs .. but not my ID! And call me 1 hour later to tell me that I forgot my ID ... NO! I did not forget my ID! It was in YOUR possession, YOU forgot to return it to me. I should not have to think about it! I am exhausted by the disease and just want to go home and rest ... Never in any other places, especially medical clinics, I forgot my ID, YOU forgot to give it back to me! incompetent Anyway, 2 days later I went to another doctor who gave me antibiotics .. the 24hr clinic Raffles Medical at the airport, day and night between the service and the premises Also in Dec I came for Medical Check-up for my helper, same .. We had to come BACK to redo the blood test a week later! because not sure of the diagnosis ... $ 2x 50! They can't give you a simple diagnosis, but they can take your money.. seriously just go there if you want MC ...

I went that clinic 16/02/2024 around 9:45pm after previous time visit. Register counter very rude attitude. When ask for regist just "come here, come here, your IC?". It's your servicing??? Then she always talking about money and took our phone don’t have permission (she can’t wait to see our IC in our phone). That day Dr gave medicine for my toothache and he told me to see dentist. I also accept to see dentist then the Malay lady don’t want to give medicine to me and shouting to me and calling to doctor “( Bro Bro ) this is not dental clinic. That’s why can’t give medicine for toothache”said like that. It's a lady malay wear black hijab and face mask always below the nose About doctor: he was scarred to see patient.( same like he see the ghost)🥹 TOO BAD FROM OUTSIDE TO INSIDE

The lady at the front desk, who attended to me, displayed a rather abrupt demeanor. When requesting my IC, she threw it back at me, and I felt disheartened by this behavior. I am unsure if there was a misunderstanding or if I unintentionally caused any discomfort, as she did not inquire about the purpose of my visit.
